Education / The Cheapest Private Universities In Nigeria 2021 [TOP 10 BEST] by betatalknaija: 12:02am On Jan 20, 2021 |
Nigeria’s private Universities and their school fees This article is for you if you have been considering admission to a private university and you have been bothered about the fees of most private universities. This post on Nigeria’s cheapest private universities will help you pick the school with the fees that are best for your budget. As the heading writes, today’s article is about the best, cheapest and budget-friendly private universities in Nigeria. As we all know, in some ways, federal and state universities are better and more recognized than other private universities, but they also have challenges that mostly lead to strikes and protests. This is why most individuals prefer private universities rather than federal or state universities, and some individuals tend to go to Nigeria’s cheapest and most competitive private universities when they do. The students in these federal and state colleges are unsure about their graduating year as a consequence of the strikes. If strikes occur, the time students spent at university increases immediately, allowing them to finish longer than they should. One of the perks of gaining an admission to a private university, among others, is that you can set a graduation date right from the beginning of the school year and graduate on or during the alleged time regardless of the fact that you can set a graduation date right from the beginning of the school year.due to the fact that private universities almost never go on strike. Therefore, students spend no more than the exact number of years needed for each course and enjoy their college years without a hitch. As private colleges are considered to be more costly, many people also opt for federal or state universities. The reason why the government has allowed private universities to be founded is that the number of high school leavers pursuing admission to universities in Nigeria is growing and private universities are helping to minimize the student population at federal and state universities. But it is still smart, before making the decision, to know the cost of tuition in many private universities in Nigeria in order to choose the one that best suits your financial capacity. P.S: The fact that these private universities in Nigeria are inexpensive does not suggest that there is a poor degree or standard of education at the university. No Messi or Ronaldo in UEFA Men’s Player of the Year nominations for first time in 10 years as De Bruyne & Lewandowski battle it out. Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is also in the running for the award, with a new winner set to be announced at the start of October. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have been left off the final shortlist for the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award for first time in 10 years, with Kevin De Bruyne and Robert Lewandowski set to battle it out for the individual prize. Ronaldo, who currently plies his trade in Italy with Juventus, has picked up the accolade on three occasions and also has a total of nine nominations to his name, while Barcelona superstar Messi has won it two times and made the final shortlist in six of the last 10 seasons. Both men have stood out as the best players of their generation for well over a decade, but as they continue to advance into their thirties, an inevitable changing of the guard is beginning to take shape. Politics / Arc. Nya-etok Declares Support For PDP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abub by betatalknaija: 5:57pm On Feb 07, 2019 |
…says Ex-Vice President is the ‘best option’ for Nigeria at a time as this By Collins Emem-Abasi 7th February 2019 The 2019 Young Democratic Party (YDP) governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom state, Arc. (Otuekong) Nya-Etok, has today declared his support for Alh. Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP). He made this known on his daily radio program on PASSION 94.5 FM UYO – “NYA-ETOK 10 to 11”. Arc. (Otuekong) Nya-Etok stated that “the country at this point has been divided and fragmented…never has there been this degree of religious and ethnic division”. It is important that we vote someone who has the capacity to run successful enterprises and who is tested and trusted in his area. Nigeria needs somebody who will ensure that there is no ethnic and religious coloration, Arc. Nya-Etok further said that “due to the peculiar situation we are in, we need a man who isn’t intimidated and can weather the storm”. Arc. Nya-Etok categorically asserted that “after due consultation with his people, he as an individual is in full support of the PDP Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar”. He noted that his decision has nothing to do with his decision to contest the governorship seat of Akwa Ibom state. Although the Young Democratic Party (YDP) is part of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) which has adopted Atiku Abubakar as the consensus Presidential Candidate for the 2019 elections, Arc. Nya-Etok emphasized that his decision was personal. This decision is in line with the words of President Muhammadu Buhari who said during campaign in Imo state, that “everyone should vote based on merit, not based on party affiliations”. Science/Technology / The Iphone X Has Been Dethroned &is No Longer The Highest Selling Phone Worldwid by betatalknaija: 1:09am On Jun 13, 2018 |
Apple’s iPhone X was recently the highest selling smartphone in the world and the phone has only been on the market for six months. It was the world’s best-selling smartphone, until it was dethroned recently by Samsung. The Galaxy S9+ has managed to knock the iPhone X from the top spot, according to the research firm Counterpoint Research (https://www.counterpointresearch.com/samsung-galaxy-s9-plus-becomes-bestselling-model-surpassing-iphone-x/). The iPhone X had 2.3 percent of the global smartphone market share, even though many ridiculed it as a flop for Apple. The iPhone 8 Plus is almost at par with the iPhone X and sits with 2.2 percent of the global smartphone market. What’s surprising to see is that all the three latest iPhone models sit behind the Galaxy S9+, as it managed to acquire 2.6 percent of the market. The iPhone X Has Been Dethroned & Is No Longer The Highest Selling Smartphone in The World© Counterpoint Research Counterpoint research detailed “Apple declined month on month due to seasonality. Apple continues to dominate the global best-selling smartphone models occupying five spots in the list.” Xiaomi also managed to clinch two spots on the top ten list, as the company has seen amazing sales in China and India. Xiaomi is known for selling budget smartphones with specifications that cannot be matched in the same price range. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 and Red 5A managed to acquire 1.4% and 1.5% of the global smartphone market share. One can also use this data to derive that users love bigger screens over a smaller screen that is offered by the iPhone 8. The iPhone 8 Plus, which has a 5.5-inch display, outsells the iPhone 8 while the iPhone X is at the second spot. The iPhone X has the largest screen available i.e. 5.8-inches which proves the same trend of users loving bigger screens. The larger version of Samsung’s flagship is also on top of the list for the same reason. It would be interesting to see if the Galaxy S9+ will be able to maintain this momentum and remain on top of the list before Apple announces new smartphones in September. Politics / 2019: I Haven’t Endorsed Any Candidate Yet — Okorocha by betatalknaija: 12:01am On Mar 12, 2018 |
Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has debunked claims that he had unilaterally endorsed his Chief of Staff and son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, as his successor. The clarification came during a media chat in Abuja just as the Imo State Government warned religious leaders to be cautious in their utterances and actions as undue meddlesomeness in partisan politics could trigger unnecessary crisis in the state. Okorocha said what he has done was to pencil down three persons who are likely to take over from him at the end of his tenure in 2019 and to encourage these governorship hopefuls to seek grassroots support for their aspirations. The likely successors, he said, include the Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere; Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu and Chike Okafor, former Commissioner for Finance and now a member of the House of Representatives. Okorocha, who spoke through his Special Adviser on Electoral Matters, Chief Steve Asimobi, said that though he was yet to endorse anyone, endorsement of candidates ahead of any election was a normal democratic procedure but does not amount to an imposition since all aspirants would pass through the primary election at the party level or be selected through a consensus decision of the party. The governor said that in proposing the three aspirants, he had told them that the person who will earn his endorsement and support must not only be 50 years and below, but must show that he has grassroots support and the support of the party structure across the 27 local government areas of the state. “I want to state clearly and unequivocally that Governor Rochas Okorocha is a democrat who likes doing things orderly and through consensus “Endorsement is a natural process in any democracy. During the last election, the Catholic Church took a position. The political parties will endorse, traditional rulers will endorse. The governor is also qualified to endorse who he will endorse but he has not foisted that candidate on the masses because the candidates will still go through party primaries. Secondly, the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Constitution of the APC as well as the Electoral Act and Guidelines give the party the leeway to go through the normal primary or do what we call consensus,” Asimobi said. He dismissed critics who have accused Okorocha of nepotism in the alleged choice of a son-inlaw as successor. According to him, in the United States of America from where Nigeria borrowed her style of democracy, there had been various instances where people from the same family occupied various political positions at the same time or in quick succession. He gave examples of the Kenedy, Bush and Clinton dynasties where members of the same family have held various sensitive political offices. On the issue of power rotation in Imo State and the alleged move to violate what is referred to as Charter of Equity, Asimobi said, “There is no Charter of Equity in Imo state. There is no agreement written by anybody That is why since 1999 till date, people from Okigwe, Owerri and Orlu zones have contested for the governorship seat at every election cycle.” On the recent reports of an alleged attack on the Archbishop of Owerri Catholic archdiocese, Most Rev. Valentine Obinna, by loyalists of Governor Okorocha’s Chief of Staff and son in-law, Uche Nwosu, Asimobi said the incident has been grossly misrepresented. “For record purposes, there was no confusion and no confrontation between Bishop Obinna and supporters of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu. “What happened? The church process had been completed, sermon delivered by Archbishop Obinna , everything done in keeping with Catholic tradition and just in his closing remarks, he started talking about his feelings on Uche Nwosu. “Of course, we have always known his position; he had always wanted somebody from his Emekuku area of Imo State. We are aware of it before now. Read full statement :http://www.betatalk.com.ng/2018/03/2019-i-havent-endorsed-any-candidate-yet-okorocha/

Crime / Man Who Stole $56,000 From Bishop Oyedepo's Book Store Arraigned By EFCC by betatalknaija: 8:56am On Mar 02, 2018 |
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Lagos Zonal office yesterday, arraigned one Chimezie Chuta before Justice Mojisola Dada of the State High Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos. The former employee in the publishing unit of Dominion Book Stores, an online book store belonging to The Living Faith Church Worldwide, was charged on one-count bordering on stealing to the tune of $56,000. He allegedly hacked into the company’s mail and diverted payments for some goods bought by online customers, to his personal account. The defendant, who was said to have been an active member of the Living Faith Church Worldwide for six years, sometime in 2013, proposed to the church to build an online digital media store that would showcase all of Bishop David Oyedepo’s books and audio messages online, to enable members of the church in the Diaspora to buy them and also receive digital copies. Investigation revealed that the project was approved by the Church absolutely free of charge on contract basis. It was further revealed that the defendant handed over all the relevant materials to the ICT department of the church. However, the defendant was alleged to have later gone behind to hack into the computer server of the church to perpetrate the fraudulent act. When the charge was read to the defendant, he pleaded not guilty. Justice Dada adjourned the case to March 7, 2018 for hearing of bail application and commencement of the trial.
