keep deceiving yourself.. a region with no natural endowment, only disasters is what you call tourist zone A place where they kidnap and kill people for ransom is where tourists will visit. keep dreaming where on earth is kidnapping and armed robbery doesn't happened? Even in Turkey it happens. In western part of Nigeria, kidnapping and ritual killing is order of the day, in the northern part, kidnapping, terrorism, armed robbery etc is order of the day, in southsouth, militancy, kidnapping even assassination is there, likewise in southeastern part, tell me the zone that is free from crime in present day Nigeria let me tell you their crime. Pritypussi: Biafra will be like present day Filipino where girls engage mainly in prostitution to survive. They have started by building hotels. when other intelligent tribes are building schools, hospitals, media outlets etc.. it's immorality they want Are u a prostitute? If you are not why likening biafran women to prostitutes? must every individual build school in igbo land? have you carry out research and find shortage of any academic institution in igbo land ranging from pre nursery to university? That a tribe decide to make there zone a tourist zone by building hotels and other recreational centres now has become your problems. Is it not hypocrite of you that you hail celebrities who spent the limited hard currencies only to travel to Dubai a tourist country for their weddings and holidays? Urging igbos and yorubas to unite is one thing, then implementing it us another thing. let the political class or social-cultural groups like Ohaneze ndi Igbo and odudua consultative forum to initiate some sorts of youth workshops etc to highlight the needs of coexistence of the two tribes and other practicable means of uniting and assuring them of their (elders) support. It is the seeds that was sown by the so called elders we are reaping now. |

What is this one talking about? Yes GEJ relinquished power peacefully, but he was never the pacesetter. Two examples in this our west Africa are 1- In 1991 presidential election in nearby Benin republic the military dictator Mathew Kerekou lost election as a sitting president and handed over power to Soglo in early 1992 hand over date. Kerekou himself was voted out of power in 1996 election and he handed over power back to Kerekou who won by a wide margin. 2- In 2012 presidential election, the then sitting president of Senegal Adbul Wade lost and handed over power to the winner the present incumbent.
in the 70s the then sitting president of Somali lost and became the 1st sitting African president to be voted out of power. So no big deal in what GEJ did. It is supposed to be so my brother man or sister woman betty202020 thanks so much SpencerLewis:

Abagworo: This is to inform Imo people and indeed the general public that the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo will be the Guest Speaker at the Imo Day of Thanksgiving which holds on Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Hero’s Square by 3pm. The President-elect of Ghana, Mr. Nana Akufo-Addo will also be in attendance as the Special Guest of Honour. And Imo people are expected to attend en masse to give God glory. In the course of the Thanksgiving, whatever that is realized whether material or cash will be shared for the less privileged people in the various wards in the State through the ward Coordinators of the State Development Councils (SDC). The lighting of the Christmas tree will also take place the same Monday, December 19, 2016 by 2pm. There will also be Carol night on that day. On Tuesday, December 20, 2016, the Ada Imo and Opara Imo Contest will take place by 2pm at Imo International Convention Centre (IICC). Winners at the end of the Contest would have Car and Cash rewards. But the local wrestling contest will take place at the Freedom Square by 10am preceding the Ada Imo and Opara Imo Contest on that Tuesday, December 20, 2016. On Wednesday, December 21, 2016, the much talked-about Imo Carnival will take place at the Hero’s Square by 2pm. The Security agencies in the State have all taken steps to ensure hitch-free events. The governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has taken all these initiatives to ensure that Imo people enjoy the Christmas and remain on the fast lane of development and growth. Sam Onwuemeodo Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Obasanjo "but why!" this remind me of Obasanjos' old blissful days in PDP when he was called to flag off the Ohakim campaign speech about small and big thief. Speaking earlier in the event, the host, Governor Willie Obiano thanked the Vice President for harkening to his calls and coming to identify with Ndi Anambra, especially the investors battling to sustain their businesses with the economic situation.
