Business / Re: MMM Nigeria: Ponzi Scheme, Robbing Peter To Pay Paul? TheGuardian by bizking24(m): 1:43pm On Oct 24, 2016
I'm really surprised that many people including "educated" Nairalanders can not tell the difference between a Ponzi and an Investment scheme.
This Ponzi scheme (MMM Nigeria) will surely collapse, it's just a matter of time. I personally withnessed the MMM collapse of the 1990s and 2011 hear in Ukraine. Sergei Mavrodi is a fraudster, just like 419 or Yahoo-Boys but only bigger. My advice- just stay away from it.

Science/Technology / Re: Photos: Aircraft Construction A-Z. by bizking24(m): 5:51pm On May 21, 2015
Aeroflot(Russian airlines) has one of the worst safety records in Europe and the Western world.
If you want safety in aircrafts, better stick with Boeing or Airbus. Don't let apperance deceive you.
By the way, " Sile12" is a Russian internet Troll trying to score a cheap PR.
To Russians, I say get the hell out of easthern Ukraine before more and more of your soldiers are captured.

Crime / Re: My Children Were Killed, They Didn’t Die In Any Spiritual Bath – Grieving Mother by bizking24(m): 10:31am On Feb 07, 2015
On November 20, 2014, every parent’s nightmare became a reality for 42-year-old Ayedun Shitta-Bello. It was a normal Saturday.

Hmm. Something doesn't add-up here. November 20, 2014 was a Thursday not a Saturday.

If there are no ways to verify the facts or the facts don't add-up, there is a chance the story is cooked-up.

I will say to each of them,
" if I ask your sister to show me the road that leads
to the village, which direction will she point to?"

Then I will go in the opposite direction.

Business / Re: Is Financial Independence Truly Linked to Self-Employment? by bizking24(m): 12:30am On Apr 17, 2012
A very interesting post. By definition "Financial Independence" is a term generally used to describe the state
of having sufficient income from your investments to live comfortably and indefinitely without having to actively
work for basic necessities. For instance, A piece of property you bought generates a monthly rent that is equal
to your monthly salary.
Another term closely related to it is "Financial Freedom" which, in a nut shell is, when the monthly income from your investments is equal to your monthly expenses.
So, may I suggest that neither self-employment nor being employed by others will lead to Financial Independence/Freedom
b/c in both cases you have to WORK ACTIVELY. The emphasis should be PASSIVE INCOME. It definitely leads to Financial Independence/Freedom.
Finally, I believe to achieve FI or FF you have to (1) have an Income, (2) Save part of it, (3) Invest your savings and (4)grow your portfolio by re-investing the profit until it generates enough PASSIVE INCOME for you to live on without having to WORK ACTIVELY except if you choose to.
Car Talk / Re: What Was The Longest Distance You Have Driven With A Car by bizking24(m): 12:46pm On Apr 05, 2012
About 3850km in one go, I drove a Mercedes-Benz Vito 111.

I drove from Stockholm(Sweden) to Brussels( Belgium) through Denmark,
northern Germany and Holland.
Then drove back to Vinnytsia(Ukraine) via Holland, Germany and Poland.

I flew to Sweden (from Ukraine) where I bought this Mercedes, then
bought a bus in Brussels and had it shipped to Naija before driving
back to Ukraine.

Education / Re: Who Is An Educated Man? by bizking24(m): 7:51pm On Dec 23, 2011
An educated man is any person who knows how to use what he/she has to acquire
what he/she wants, without violating the rights of people. Examples would include
people like Thomas Edison and Henry Ford without much formal education. And that would
exclude armed rubbers with university degrees or pen-rubbers(some of our politicians)
with more degrees than a thermometer.
Romance / Re: Will You Still Marry Her If She Won't Fully Change Her Last Name -No Hyphenation by bizking24(m): 4:13pm On May 04, 2011
The question of accepting the man's surname or not after marriage depends to some
degree on her age. By the time most single ladies hit 40, that question is no longer an issue.
I'm just wondering, if faced with a choice of either accepting the guy's surname or staying
single their whole life, what will most ladies prefer?  Sisters, go ask your moms.

Americans scale back the war on terror?
Religion / Re: Can Pastors Do Business? by bizking24(m): 6:59am On Mar 26, 2010
Well, as long as the business does not interfare with or hinder the preaching of the Gospel.
But if it enables the Gospel, then there is nothing wrong with "TentMaking" like Paul did.
