Business / Business Tool Alert! (esopos) by Biznessguru: 4:32pm On Jan 10, 2019
Hello again,

I missed you.

Being a business person puts you in a lot of many things like being actually busy (getting your business together), trying to reduce costs so you can increase revenue (obviously), checking and cross-checking your business financial standing (remember you’re not in business to lose), stock and plan on restocking, if you’ve got employees you’d have to cater for their salaries and ensure they’re actually getting things done. All these things can stress one out. Do you live in Lagos though? (double stress). On a more serious note though, if you have something that could help manage a lot of these situations which are inevitable for an entrepreneur would you take it or continue stressing (I’m pretty sure I can guess your answer correctly)?

So, as I posted previously, there’s a free POS (Point of Sale) software called ESOPOS. Basically, these kinds of software that work in supermarkets and large or sophisticated stores around (just when you get to the checkout counter where you have the computer and the cash register) are POS software. Like I mentioned earlier, ESOPOS is free but the better thing about it is that it is cloud-based i.e you can access it from wherever you are as long as you have internet. ESOPOS also works on all devices (android, apple phones and on P. C’s also). It comes in an app form for smartphones so you can download from the Google play store or iOS App store. As a business owner, you stand a lot to gain from using a cloud-based POS software like; updated sales records, inventory tracking, having real-time reports on profits and expenditure and much more. These are the things that ESOPOS does basically.

Additionally, ESOPOS has a marketplace feature where you can advertise your business to potential clients who also happened to be registered on the ESOPOS platform as well. You can visit www.esopos.com for more information and register.
It’s a 4 star from me, (It trended as no 1 business app just before last year ended). Let me get your reviews also.

Yours,
B.G.

Business / Offer Your Name by Biznessguru: 2:24pm On Jan 08, 2019
Hello,

Call me B.G.

So I was talking to a friend of mine who has a side business (he works a 9-5) and was going to get more serious with it this year.
My guy said he already had a name but at the point of registration, he found that another business had already been registered with that same name (if you're someone like I used to be, who sees the world as one-way traffic then you should know that my guy was in a serious fix).

So like any other insensitive person (in his opinion of course), I told him; "find another, but make sure it resonates with what you're offering". Then I asked, "what uniqueness do you have to offer?" he goes quiet. Again, I asked, "what unique thing are you offering, that would bring you YOUR customers?" This time he mumbles something and goes quiet again.

Business is born out of an idea and that idea is expressed in the NAME. The uniqueness of your name depends on the uniqueness of your idea.

I don't care how competitive your business space or industry is, there is always SPACE. And just like there are different languages for communication, you can express your passion and offering in your business name.

By the way through, if you are planning to venture into business there's a free POS software I'm recommending. It's called ESOPOS. It can be used on your smartphones via the app (check Google Play or iOS App store) or www.esopos.com on a P.C. It's a great innovation for startups.

My next post would be dedicated to the benefits of a POS system, so watch this space.

Yours...
