Did my medicals today. Will update you guys how it went here:

I chose to use Qlife because they were the only ones that replied me when I sent enquiry mails to the two hospitals. I got there around 6:45am, wrote my name with the Security Guard (very important) and then went back to my car.

At some minutes past 8am, they then called us in.

Please make sure you take a 4 by 3 passport photographs (5 copies), it's way smaller than the conventional 2 by 2 passport stipulated by the US Embassy. Also go with your appointment letter and the email printout from NVC that has your Case Number. Also you will need your international passport, 2 photocopies of your data page, immunization records (if you have) and of course, your ATM card.

You will undergo X-ray to screen for tuberculosis, your blood will be drawn to test for syphilis, you will be vaccinated with IPV, MMR and TT, those will protect you from polio, mumps, rubella, tetanus, etc. Your blood pressure, weight and height (BMI) will be measured. The Doctor will then examine you after taking your medical history. Your urine sample will also be taken.

It took me a little over 2 hours. I was done around 10:30am or thereabout

It's quite an extensive procedure and the result comes out in 2 weeks time, I'm told.

You can get your Police Report from Alagbon, Ikoyi. That's where almost everyone get theirs from.

Please, can I have the police contact too cuz I am getting ready to start the medicals and police report stuff .. Does location matters because I stay at the mainland and using police report from Alagbon ikoyi is it acceptable or should I just go with the report I would get from the mainland? Kindly clarify

In addition to what Drenimarcus said, I will advice that you wait until you have scheduled an interview appointment date before you go for medicals. Your medicals should be done at least 3 weeks before the interview date. This because medical reports is valid for only 6 months and the validity on the K1 Visa will depend on it. Police Report is valid for 1 year thus you can afford to get it anytime.

passport expires Oct 28, 2019, I mean sorry for the mix-up .. Just did a re-read, so i am applying for a new passport but we have done the documentation and ready to submit do we go ahead with it .. Apologies for the mix-up.

Please I forgot to mention that my passport expires Oct 30th, 2018 do we go ahead with K1 application is that doesn't alter anything and then I will renew my passport while she uses my current passport details pending when my new passport comes out from the Nigerian Immigration ( Ikoyi) ??

Hi Everyone, trust your day is starting out well... Being going through the thread and to be honest the information is very helpful and thanks for the those who have had their session and it was approved your experience is no doubt a boost to us.
Okay, the matter of the day- with the help of this thread my fiancee' and I have been able to put up the documents and other things we should be needing to complete the documentation process, so where I need a bit of clarification in regards to timing, what am required to do, etc.

So she planned to send in our application this week or by Monday next week , Question 1 could this take 5-6 month processing time? Then that's a really good improvement because a friend of mine who left last 3 weeks said it took Approx 10-11months
Question 2 Once we get the green light - meaning the application has been sent to Lagos Am I applying through the DS 160 form and also paying the visa of up too 95k or thereabout? do I get to do my medicals at that point and also my police report. @legitBachelor and any other person who has had the process go through please I need some clarifications...

I would also love to contact anyone personally via WhatsApp or email.

My fiancee filed on the 3rd of March, she got a notification by mail on the 8th. And we were approved on the 16th of May. Heading onto the next round with morale. May we all be successful.

Thanks Brov this is something to have in mind , i have stayed in my current Job for 5 Years now , i was denied some couple of months ago February to be precise but now i am going back in June for a conference schedule to hold in July 2018

Dear friends my advice to people applying for visiting visa. Ps be very careful on how u fill your form. For family ties USA people take it very serious. Family ties are having kids, spouse, a good job. For the job ps note that VO are very strict about it. For your job make sure u av stayed in the job for years than months. Years can be 5years up ward. That is my advice. I was denial visa yesterday depect my travel history. I have worked in my new office for 9months and got my leave and applied for USA visiting visa, so I was denial beacuse of it.

I applied in January and my appointment date was Feb 14 ( Val's Day ) come see people as dem wear red clothes and touch of red .. i laugh no be small as red was just flashing all through the streets of the embassy.. back to the matter .

Being my first time i am applying since having my passport, i taught to apply for visit so i can meet up with some of my friends and at least have a visa on my passport.

Please ladies and gentlemen i need to right the wrong this time since i am going for a different thing this time around..

What do i need tor take note off during this process , i have 2 months & 14days ..
