N3TRAL: This Yoruba Christian nonsense is a fallacy in Yorubaland. I am a Christian and I am voting for Tinubu. In my workplace, my secretary who wears hijab is voting for Obi. There is no Christian/Muslim nonsense in Yoruba land. It is in Yoruba land that you will find one single household that has someone bearing Peter and another bearing Kabiru. |
Education / Re: Is This Not Too Much Sex Education For Kids? by BluntTheApostle(m): 2:49pm On Feb 22, 2023 |
naijapikin2: It is comprehensive sex education. It allows children to acquire knowledge about healthy sexual practices. If a kid has acquired some comprehensive sex education, she would know that sex is between daddy and mummy. If one uncle tries to take advantage, she will immediately start wondering whether it is not a bad idea. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Atiku has no shame. Power should come South, not North again. Vote for Tinubu. He knows the way. We don't want "Mr I Will Learn". |
Politics / Re: Like Lagos, Do We Have Any Yoruba Political Office Holder In South-East? by BluntTheApostle(m): 1:05pm On Feb 22, 2023 |
Tinubu had the first cosmopolitan cabinet in the whole of Nigeria. I still don't understand why the Igbos hate Tinubu. The only reason I can think of is that he helped to drive GEJ out of Aso Rock. Because as governor, Tinubu was fair to all tribe in Lagos. As a Nigerian, he fought for democracy, and had to go on exile for it. I don't know why OBJ is scared of Tinubu. Is he scared of losing something? Or is he looking for a weak president he can bully? If Obi manages to win, and starts being rebellious, OBJ will start writing his open letters to Obi. 8 Likes 1 Share |

marostan: When I said the Igbos, I didn't mean all the Igbos. There are Igbos who vote for other parties. But PDP always got massive votes in the South East since 1999. |

FromZeroToHero: The Igbos would never vote for him. I understand the Igbo political consciousness very well. If Wike had won the presidential primary of PDP, the Igbos would be campaigning for PDP right now. Obi saw his chances and took it. That is why political analysts will tell you that Obi is a spoiler in Atiku's game. 99% of politically active Obidients are former PDP supporters.. Supposing PDP had chosen a Southerner, even if it was Ikpezu (or whatever is his name), Igbos would be shouting PDP right now. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Smartguyboy: Two Yoruba men contested against each other in 1999. Obasanjo of PDP vs. Olu Falae of AD. You had no choice but to vote for one of them, because only two parties contested. In 2007, you chose to vote for PDP, and this you have done consistently, despite PDP underperforming even in the South East. You were even ready to vote for PDP in 2019 despite the fact that the presidential candidate (Atiku) was a well known looter of resources who together with his thieving boss (Obasanjo) wrecked our education sector and sold our national carrier into oblivion. You would still have voted for PDP assuming a Southerner won the presidential slot, even if the person was Ekweremadu. 5 Likes |

FromZeroToHero: This is a big lie. Igbos have always voted massively for party not for individuals. PDP in the national and mostly state level, APGA in Anambra. If the PDP slot had gone to a Southerner, you would all have been campaigning for PDP right now. You have never liked APC. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Kingsley34: You people are just voting blindly. Your Obi and his vice don't know anything about governance, and yet it doesn't bother you. Their political incompetence is staring you in the face, and all you can think of it is "urchin". How can a vice president candidate not know that a president cannot arrest a governor? How can a presidential candidate not know that a president cannot audit the account of the NASS? And yet, you want the jokers as president and vice president. 1 Like |

Nchoje34: Damn, Obi and Datti don't really understand the limits of a president's power. Obi says he would subject all arms of government to routine auditing. Datti says if he were Buhari, he would arrest a governor. Are these the people Obidients want us to vote for? 1 Like |

JackDaAlienz: You want her to go and prostitute her body? Let me ask you a question. If you have a sister whose boyfriend wants her to go and sleep with a man for money, would you pat the boyfriend in the back? I know of one or two similar stories. I know one guy who was pimping his own girlfriend out to men. This girl already had a child for him. Yet, he would be sending her out to sleep with men for money. In the end, he left the girl, and officially married someone else. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Has Anyone Withdrawn Cash From Atms Of Late? by BluntTheApostle(m): 6:17am On Feb 21, 2023 |
Efuaye: It can't get better. You don't put the cart before the horse. Why do you think the cash policy is causing so much problems? It is because we did not do the right things first before implementing the policy. No one is against the naira redesign or the mopping up of excess cash in circulation. But there are things that should have been done first before implementing the policy. First, there is no huge customer confidence in the banking system in Nigeria. In fact, many Nigerians believe banks work with Yahoo Yahoo boys. There are also many unresolved reversals. I, for example, I have a reversal amounting to 120,000 which is still unresolved since 2017. Second, there is no citizen confidence in the government. How many people can trust the government? In fact, majority of people that I have interviewed believe this policy is a political rather than a monetary policy. Third, there is no stable power. A cashless economy needs stable or adequate power supply. There is no stable power supply in Nigeria. If you are lucky to live in some areas, you may enjoy adequate power supply. But power supply in Nigeria is not uniform. There are places where you may not even see power for months. During my service year, there was a period in Modakeke when there was no power for over 6 months because the transformer exploded. You may be asking, "but there is generator". Think about the cost of petrol and diesel right now. Even cooking fuel like kerosene is now costly too. Fourth, our minimum wage is too small. Someone who earns 30,000 naira will spend more in a cashless economy just to spend their little money in peace. With bank charges and all other associated charges, how much go remain on top the 30k. And this is Nigeria, where many earn below the minimum wage. Employers of labour in the retailing business pay very terribly low salaries. These and many problems should have been resolved before implementing this policy. Because they didn't resolve the problems I listed, that is why the masses are suffering. It is not that the masses don't appreciate the policy, but the policy is becoming a burden to them because the government poorly implemented it. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Buckeyemedia1: You are not getting it. Sweden did not enforce cashless policy. They started by sanitizing people. It was people who began to go cashless by themselves. The Swedish government did not force them through harsh cash policy. It took Sweden 20 years of patience (without setting deadlines) to make the economy 91% cashless. Now, Sweden is finally going 100% cashless. And even despite that, they want to make cash available to the 9% which includes the aged. |

Efuaye: I am not sure you know what you are saying. If someone decides to waste his money, how is that your concern? Or, how does it benefit the economy? Everyone People are hoarding money, you say they are CAREFUL. CBN wants to reduce money hoarding, but they are ending up encouraging it. If this hardship persists, we will return to the days when armed robbers rob homes because money will now be kept at home. Moreover, hoarding money encourages a culture of hoarding which is not good for individuals and the economy at large. Those that refused to embrace online transfers and the use of digital banking even among the literates are embracing it now by force! What is the benefit of a cashless economy to Nigeria? The Tomatos and pepper sellers who hitherto wouldn't even consider using internet banking are all opening accounts! All these are not gains of the implementation. What did the implementation set out to achieve? It has not achieved anything. It wants to stop hoarding. But what it has done is extend cash hoarding to even poor Nigerians. People are now hoarding (not saving) cash. Vote buying (an extension of cash hoarding) is still yet to be decided. CBN says they sent money to banks, banks say not enough. This means the money have gone into the hands of politicians. To deepen cashless economy. It has failed in this regard. You grow a cashless economy with time and patience. First, you need to build the people's trust in the banking system. This is Nigeria where we have many unresolved reversal issues. How many people trust the banks to keep their money safe? Nowadays, when I want to transfer money or buy airtime/data, I would be praying for good network. Yesterday, I could not use UBA USSD and mobile app until midnight. You think going cashless is a day's job? It took Sweden 20 years to deepen cashlessness to 91%. And that is a country that has stable power supply, a safe banking system, and a strong internet infrastructure. 1 Like |

iamL: Blasphemy was a horrible crime to the Jews. In Leviticus 24:16, the punishment for blasphemy is DEATH. Jesus claimed to be the son of God. That was blasphemy, according to the Jews. Ordinarily, he should have been stoned to death under Jewish laws. But the Jews were under Roman rule at that time. Pontius Pilate did not think Jesus Christ committed any crime, but he had to crucify Jesus Christ because he didn't want any rioting. |
