The desertification of the Sahel, including of Nigeria, is a serious problem that needs to be adressed and taken seriously. In the 1970s as you all know, there was a severe drought throughout the Sahel that caused multiple famines and migrations. The underlying story of this tragedy is the abandonment of responsible agricultural practices, exacerbating the effects of global climate change. In 1980, Burkinabe elder Yacouba Sawadogo, from the northern regions of that country, discovered that creating depressions in the earth in which crops and wild plants would be planted minimizes water loss. At first, he was thought to be crazy and made fun of, however, he persevered and continued his project, adding additional improvements. Such improvements to the traditional methods he already knew include:

1. Lining zaï-dug areas with stones. These along with the wild vegetation and crops trapped sediment that would've washed eventually into a major river such as the Volta and lost. This also conserved water since it keeps the water in one place to soak up more successfully in the soil.
2. Filling the enlarged zaï holes with manure, thus providing nutrients to everything planted in the hole
3. Inviting termites to the holes. By finding termite mounds and leading termites to his depressions, the termites worked the soil and manure in order to break it up, thus providing a natural irrigation system that needs not to draw from the rivers of the area.
4. Planting indigenous wild plants. The wild plants he introduced into some (if not most) holes create shade, provide shelter for both wildlife and people, instill feelings of relief that the land is green again (and thus create more peace), retain future water and soil, and also can serve as a backup food and firewood source in case other sources fail.

Through awareness with village meetings held for people all over the Sahel, the Zaï technique will slow drastically the desertification process, and in turn produce an era of plenty and peace for this region of Africa.

Christianity EtcRe: The Christian Chatbox ( sticky) by cactusland(m): 5:09am On May 01, 2019
The LORD will pass a judgement onto us soon (~in a few generations) if the destruction of the earth is not halted. We are meant to be stewards of the world, not an abuser pumping poison into the air and water and soil, shaving the wild vegetation, and overhunting. Already these actions of pure greed have caused untold suffering throughout the world, from the drying of crops in the Sahel, to fires in California and to overharvesting of wood and land in the Amazon and other places of the world. Unless we shake off the greed that is plaguing the earth at the moment, the LORD will punish humanity with judgement via total extinction.

How do you hope to deal with a dictator who has the military and can crush you.
Is it by just wishing it?

Look at the way he mowed down his own people. How can they stop him if America fails to intervene?
The North Koreans are just sitting their situation out. Venezuela can do that too
Foreign AffairsRe: People Hate Hitler Because He Was Anti LGBT by cactusland(m): 5:02am On Apr 30, 2019
Noone cites their hatred of Hitler based solely on his for homosexuals or other LGBTs. Only a few exceedingly fringe neo-nazi groups like the Röhmites object solely on the basis of his anti-LGBT policies, and only because they worship gayness as manly and because Ernst Röhm, one of Hitler's aides during the early years of the Reich, was openly gay.

Actually I'm not Rwandan myself but there are reconciliation villages there, and restrictions on hate speech (that is, don't dare say that they "haven't finished the work", or along those lines.). The growth of the economy is also a big motivator for recovery from genocide.

It's not the cause but if unchecked, it will lead to hate speech. The chaos was the big thing.

seriously, I like kagame for his visions, but he's still a freaking dictator. There's media restriction in Rwanda, u dont get news from there except d good ones.
What happened last time Rwanda had democracy? During a period of chaos, Rwandan democracy led to tins of hate speech that led to the genocide. Am sure you know of tribalism in Nigeria, in Rwanda in the 90s it was worse 20fold

Uh okay. I see.

Modify the Bible to suit modern time huh?

Because we are getting more socially conscious and realize how shitty some ‘holy’ laws are right?

But still pretending to hold onto them.
Sometimes progress is disadvantageous; adultery causes serious emotional distress and mistrust for the victim, and therefore should be punished harshly.

Okay and so?

Did it say after four times? Why not after the first time?
Not necessarily but to make it compatible with modernity it must be based on a strike system. Imagine if your lover betrayed you for another woman while not telling you. You'd feel pretty unsettled since he didn't actually love you like you thought he did.

Indeed. If at least 4 of his divorces are due to adultery, that's when the line has been crossed.
RomanceRe: Were you ever asked out by a Gay or lesbian, How Did You Handle It ? by cactusland(m): 2:45pm On Apr 16, 2019
This happened to me six times. I succumbed thrice, am 16 as of February too.
◇The first time was an 18 year old from Vermont in his senior year or just got out of high school who occasionally sent me selfies on snapchat. He stopped last year spontaneously, after figuring out that I wasn't to succumb to him.
◇The second time was a few of years ago, also back in 2017 over snapchat. I had added him from god-knows-where earlier in the year, when he sent me a message threatening to block me if he didn't receive my p**is in a picture. I blocked him first before he could do me.
◇Third time was a bi guy from Dubai who hit me up asking for nudes. I chatted with him for a little bit, then was sent his...stick fluids...when I sent a selfie. Ignored each other after that.
◇By far the worst was this Indian guy of 19 who continually harassed me for a thrusting; I did succumb to his desire for my groinstick and buttocks only because I was a bit frightened after he said he'd come to my house and thrust upon me. I felt very violated that day, even defiled, and blocked him immediately after that.
◇The fifth is a 17 year old guy from a small town in the Great Lakes of America (I live out there too, but two states away) who I still occasionally hit up to check on him. He messaged me first, asking for 18+ pics. I offered to talk instead until I was ready, and he accepted that. Eventually he sent me pictures of himself naked, and I reciprocated quickly. We had a stint lasting from early december until January when we got bored of each other and wordlessly broke up without any personal contact between each other.
◇Sixth comes a fat guy by the name of John who is a year younger than me. He hit me up first on January 3, starting with a simple "Hey", then progressed to asking what I look like and the very next message was "Ur sexy want to date". I rejected him. Three times on March 19, he asked what I looked like, but I ignored him. On April 8, he messaged me with the following: "Hey so i really like u and i was wondering if u would like to date me ?❤". Three days later he sent question marks. I'm waiting to block him on his next move.

There ought to be capital punishment for those who commit adultery more than 4 times. Fornyism doesn't count.
