segyemaro: There is supposed to be a good number of worshipers in a church

I am sure you know you just lied. At least 2 is enough. More importantly, GOD admires the obedience of their hearts, never their number. Do not be deceived by numbers.

segyemaro: I am just hearing this from you, now can you paste your own picture of Jesus for us to see.

I am happy you have become better informed now.

Most of the “portraits” of Jesus portray Him in a softened, quasi-romantic style as a handsome and winsome young man while, in fact, He “had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him” (Isaiah 53:2).

If it were important for us to know what He really did look like, Matthew, Peter and John, who spent three years with Him, would certainly be able to give us an accurate description, as would His own brother, Jude. Yet, these New Testament writers offer no details about His physical attributes. Does this not suggest that, inspired by the Holy Spirit, they did so in order to carefully avoid encouraging us to make any image of Him?

http://www.gotquestions.org/pictures-of-Jesus.html

I have told you that most of all those images you see said to be those of Christ depend on the artists' imagination..... Just continue to truthfully believe that Jesus Christ is your personal Saviour, and do the Will of the Father you will have eternal Life. Don't ever bother how Christ physically looked... Look upon His Spiritual Life and Mission as contained in the Gospel.

segyemaro: There is supposed to be a good number of worshippers in a church, not bicos your former General Overseer spoke to you the way you don't like, you now decided to go and open your own ministry.

I am amazed at that remark.... Do you know what it means to build a church... It starts with one person! And how sure are you the person started a church in disobedience to the Overseer?

segyemaro: And about the picture of Jesus, there is a particular picture that even a child born yesterday recognises as Jesus.

Is that what should define the real pictures of Christ?

Did you know that the pictures said to be those of Jesus have kept changing from generation to generation, depending on the artists' imaginations? Years to come, artists will likely come up with "new facts" and redesign the face of Christ!!! There have been at least 6 different pictures said to be that of Christ over the years....

segyemaro: when I entered I discovered that the place was empty, the ushers quickly welcomed me like a VIP. I was not comfortable, I counted those of us that where in the church, we were just 24.....

How many people would be in a church for it to be a real church?

segyemaro: You don't used to see Jesus picture on billboards again

Do you have real Jesus' pictures?
Religion / Re: Should Churches Be Paying Tax. by charlsecy4(m): 10:03am On Jul 28, 2013
The Law waives the burden of tax for religious institutions because they are considered non-profit organisations which engage in charity like feeding the poor, running orphanages, propagating spiritual Message, and so on. If every religious institution had to justify their tax exempt status by showing proof of charitable activities they are engaged in, how many of them would pass the test?

Yes! You re right, but Christ once paid tax from the money they got from the belly of a fish, so what about that?

Pay attention to the words in capital letters >>>

Matthew 17:27;

"But, SO THAT WE MAY NOT BE A CAUSE OF TROUBLE TO THEM, go to the sea, and let down a hook, and take the first fish which comes up; and in his mouth you will see a bit of money: take that, and give it to them for me and you."

My Saviour paid tax because He didn't want to hurt the feelings of the tax collectors. Sometimes, you give up your right just for the sake of peace. He also paid tax in order not to set a confusing precedent to Christians. If Jesus had refused to pay tax, governments would have had a running battle with Christians over tax payments, they would have capitalized on following the example of the Great Teacher.

Remember Romans 13:1;

"Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God...."

However, if the laws of the government go against the Way, Acts 5:29 is applicable:

“.....We must obey God rather than men."

Whether or not a religious institution should be taxed, I think, depends on what they use the donations they receive from people for, not how much they receive.

A religious institution should pay tax if they invest their gift money into taxable concerns. For example, if a church is involved in the production of table water, they should pay tax on the profits of the business. Not taxing a commercial venture owned by a religious institution is not fair because commercial concerns owned by a non-church body or person are taxed. Religious institutions that run taxable businesses should give something back to the government.

Talking about the Bible!

You see from where one reads the Holy Word is hardly important. What matters is sincerity of heart. If one's intention is to show off with iPad or other electronic gadgets, then one is NOT doing oneself any good. Such one reads the Word unworthily.

Another thing I want to point out is that if we "rightly" condemn those sincerely reading the Word from an electronic device, then Servants of the Most High GOD such as Paul will condemn us for reading the Word on paper.... And how about Moses? He will condemn us for not reading the Word from the Stone or the Scroll.

On whether the Bible possess innate powers:

The book or material on which it is written is just like any other material. No, they don't possess powers in themselves. It's the Word of God in your heart that is written, spoken and believed, and powered by the Name of JESUS Christ that actually moves mountains.

It's not about the Word of God you carry about in an iPad or a Bible but the One you carry about in your heart, the Word that you believe and show you believe It by living by It, that's all that matters......
