Foreign Affairs / Is It Time To Attack North Korea? by Chelseafan99: 10:49pm On Mar 10, 2016
Pyongyang’s claim that it has shrunk a nuclear warhead brings it one step closer to striking the U.S.

North Korea has been saying for years that it is striving to build a nuclear-tipped missile capable of attacking the U.S. It took a giant step toward that prize Wednesday when its official news agency asserted the nation’s scientists had miniaturized an atomic warhead capable of riding atop a Pacific-spanning rocket.

North Korean media showed leader Kim Jong-un standing before a beach ball-sized silver sphere purportedly representing a shrunken warhead. South Korea declared North Korea’s claim an “intolerable direct challenge” to the world.

“The right to make a preemptive nuclear strike is by no means a monopoly of the U.S.,” the Korean Central News Agency said, paraphrasing Kim during his visit with North Korean engineers working on the project. “If the U.S. imperialists infringe upon the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s sovereignty and right to existence with nuclear weapons, it will never hesitate to make a preemptive nuclear strike at them.” Given North Korean secrecy, the claim is impossible to verify.

But in light of North Korea’s inexorable push to develop a nuclear-carrying intercontinental ballistic missile—and the bizarre cult-of-personality dynasty that runs the Hermit Kingdom, starving millions and jailing thousands of political prisoners—the obvious question is simple: should the U.S. take the lead in taking down Pyongyang’s nuclear menace by force?

Nuclear experts have been saying for years that North Korea might be able to shrink a nuclear warhead. That’s critical, because a smaller warhead translates into longer range. The non-profit Institute for Science and International Security said in 2013 that North Korea still would need “to conduct missile flight tests with a re-entry vehicle and mock warhead, increase the explosive yield of the warhead, possibly requiring its further miniaturization, and improve the operational reliability of the warhead and missile” to be sure its missile would work.

While that may be the path followed by most nations, North Korea is hardly a normal country. Corner-cutting, especially if the nation perceives itself as threatened, could accelerate that process. With the U.S. and South Korea now conducting a huge military exercise, and new sanctions recently imposed on North Korea, it’s no wonder that Pyongyang is feeling beleaguered. Only hours after North Korea announced its alleged miniaturization breakthrough, a U.S. artillery brigade launched a barrage of rockets close to the border town of Cheorwon, something bound to jangle North Korean nerves even more.

The U.S. has built a missile shield in Alaska and California dedicated to the threat posed by North Korean rockets. The Pentagon voiced confidence Tuesday in its ability to down any incoming North Korean warheads. “The United States has not seen North Korea demonstrate a capability to ......read

Foreign Affairs / Heil Hitler? !!! by Chelseafan99: 9:37pm On Mar 07, 2016
Former Anti-Defamation League director Abe Foxman excoriated Donald Trump for urging his supporters at a weekend rally to raise their right hands and promise to support him, a gambit Foxman said evoked echoes of Hitler salutes from Nazi rallies in the 1930s and ’40s.

“Let’s do a pledge. Who likes me in this room?” the Republican presidential candidate asked a large crowd Saturday in Orlando, Florida.

“Raise your right hand: ‘I do solemnly swear that I — no matter how I feel, no matter what the conditions, if there’s hurricanes or whatever — will vote, on or before the 12th for Donald J. Trump for president.'” (Trump misstated the date of the Florida primary, which will be held on March 15.)

As the audience enthusiastically complied with his request, the candidate told them: “Don’t forget you all raised your hands. You swore. Bad things happen if you don’t live up to what you just did.”

For Foxman, who was born in Poland in 1940 and was saved from the Nazis by his Catholic nanny, watching Trump whip up his supporters in this fashion was extremely disturbing.

“As a Jew who survived the Holocaust, to see an audience of thousands of people raising their hands in what looks like the ‘Heil Hitler’ salute is about as offensive, obnoxious, and disgusting as anything I thought I would ever witness in the United States of America,” he told The Times of Israel..........continue reading

Politics / Nigeria Nearly Broke : Mobilises For Full Scale War ! by Chelseafan99: 9:38pm On Feb 28, 2016
The Federal Executive Council held an emergency meeting last week on the now 6 years war on Boko Haram-officially making it Nigeria’s longest ever war. The Economic Intelligence unit was said to have briefed the President that if oil prices remain below $35 per barrel by November, Nigeria will be unable to prosecute the war against Boko Haram. Dipping into the nations external reserves to prosecute the war will not only scare away investors, loan requests to the IMF will most certainly be be declined. In other words- NIGERIA IS BROKE.

The war on Boko Haram is creating a strain in the Nigerian Economy(Nigeria currently spends $7.02 billion on defense.) As a consequence the decision was reached to mobilize for all out war, utilizing the entire arsenal of the Nigerian armed forces. This is said to have influenced Nigeria’s decision to pull out of the Saudi proposed Military Coalition against Terrorism and prematurely request the delivery of three JF-17 Multi-role Fighter Jets from Pakistan. Nigeria ordered a squadron of the 4th Gen fighter and 6 trainers, delivery was due 2017 .

This is the first time the Nigerian Military will be declaring a full scale war(albeit clandestinely) since the......

Politics / Re: Training Exercise Off W. Africa Becomes Real-life Navy Drama. by Chelseafan99: 5:41pm On Feb 27, 2016
Chelseafan99:
LAGOS, Nigeria (AP) — It was supposed to be a U.S.-led naval training maneuver off the coast of West Africa when real-life drama intervened, with pirates taking over an oil tanker and turning the exercise into a rescue mission.

Navies from the United States, Ghana, Togo and Nigeria tracked the hijacked tanker through waters off five countries before Nigerian naval forces stormed aboard on Feb. 20 amid a shootout that killed one of the pirates.

It was the first big success in international maritime cooperation in the pirate-ridden Gulf of Guinea, the commodore in charge of U.S. operations in Africa and Europe told The Associated Press.

Capt. Heidi Agle, the commodore, had been directing a training exercise against piracy with maritime agencies of Ghana when the hijacking provided a real-life lesson, she said in a telephone interview Friday from her base in Italy.

First word came from the French Embassy, which sent information to Agle’s USNS Spearhead via Ghanaian officials and U.S. diplomats of a possible pirate ship loitering off Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

There, pirates seized the Dubai-owned MT Maximus, on lease to a South Korean company and carrying 4,700 tons of diesel fuel, on Feb. 11......continue reading

Foreign Affairs / The White House's 55 Best Photographs From 2015. by Chelseafan99: 9:20pm On Feb 26, 2016
HISTORY

America’s first president, George Washington, selected the site for the White House in 1791. The cornerstone was laid in 1792 and a competition design submitted by Irish-born architect James Hoban was chosen. After eight years of construction, President John Adams and his wife, Abigail, moved into the unfinished house in 1800. During the War of 1812, the British set fire to the President’s House in 1814. James Hoban was appointed to rebuild the house, and President James Monroe moved into the building in 1817. During Monroe’s administration, the South Portico was constructed in 1824, and Andrew Jackson oversaw the addition of the North Portico in 1829. During the late 19th century, various proposals were made to significantly expand the President’s House or to build an entirely new house for the president, but these plans were never realized.

oh edo state, i grew up in Benin city and till dis day, many families still practice idolatry even yearly, d real binis have to go home for their igwe festival ritual.
The name native doctor is just a cunny way of calling a bullet a piece of metal. The real word is witch doctor and thw the way they work is by consulting with familiar spirits (demons) who give dem instructions to carry out. A witch doctor never does anything for anybody without consulting this spirits and wateva these spirits ask den to tell d individual seeking their help, that is what dey will do. Witch doctors are usually in covenant with these demons a so dey dedicate their whole lineage to its service so as soon as dey pass away, d demons look for their offsprings to carry out the covenant wen dey are a bit mature. Dis is what happened in ur case. D demon(s) is bringing about these occurrences in order to lure u into its bondage out of curiosity. If you go to an individual who is a Demonic medium for help, he will make you enter d covenant fully unknowing to u. It is only the truth dat can set you free and Jesus is the way, the truth abd the life.

u r welcome here bro. D fact dat u want to have ur normal life is d first step d right direction. On this thread you will get all d help u need from several ppl who are experienced in issues like dis. However, you will av to b open to us cos questions will b asked.
My question to you my friend is:
1.when did it start?
2.av u ever been involved in the occult b4?
3. Are ur family given to idolatry?
4. Are you ready to give ur life to Christ? because even if it stops now, it will return if Jesus isn't resident in u

Ok. On your questions. Its been going on fir about two years but in a mild often negligible way, its spiked in the last 3 months, spiked to the extent i am begining to question my sanity.

I have never been involved in the occult. Again like i said i never really fancied dabling into spiritual and disbolical stuffs.

On my family, this is where i seeth with rage. Im a native of Edo State but born in Lagos. My entire childhood involved numerous trips to native doctors and the likes...i am talking between 6 to 12 years old now. I always saw it as tradition, which actually the average family does till this day. Making incisions then rubbling black substance on it, holdijg rememberence for my deceased grandfather. My grand father was the chief native doctor in my village.

But i cannot hold on to these things. This practise stopped when i was 14 and all through i lived a relatively normal life. The past 2 years, especially the last month has been farught with strange paranomal experiences. My friends think im nuts. I forgot to add this story..

So i saw this cute girl at the bank, we exchanged numbers. 3 days later i called her up, i drove down to a fast food (GENESIS CENIMA) to pick her up then we drove to my house. The moment she stepped in she began sweating. The talkative girl became quiet and shy that borders on scared. Her next question knocked the wind off me. She asked in a worrying tone "tell me about yourself ...., tell me what you do, what are you?...emphasis on "what are you?"... How do you respond to that question?

Then she took a brook, swept my house, cleaned my dining, washed my plates,..all funny dress with her heels and sweating.. after that she seemed to come back to her senses..like she just woke up from a trance or something. At this point it is obvious our date is over. I drove her back to where i picked her from.. needless to say i never heard from her again. This was in September of 2015.

Photos of Cameroonian Special Forces battling Boko Haram sent Nigerians runing down their owned armed forces and singing praises to the Cameroonian BIR. Make no mistake, the Cameroonian military is pretty formidable in its class but it is by no means near the capability of the Nigerian armed forces. Killing a bunch of terrorists, while commendable is what the Nigerian army does pretty much everyday. People forget that despite Boko Haram being labelled the deadliest Jihadi group in world history Nigeria has for the better part if 6 years fought alone while the world watched. Obama went a step futher by slamming cripling arms embargo on Nigeria, the worlds 3rd largest democracy -crippling her ability to fight while at the same time courting Cameroon and Chad, two of Africas longest serving dictators.

There are 65 of the worlds most powerful countries currently IN Syria fighting ISIS, the 2nd deadliest jihadi group ever, they have barely made inroads Nigeria has made. Meanwhile the Nigerian army has taken back territories the size of belguim and pushed Boko Haram out of the Sambisa Forest-an area the size of Scotland. While our army may have been hamstrung in the past it is imperative to realise that the Nigerian military today should be commended, we should be pround. It has been transfirmed for an AK-47 and T-55 Tank army to a High technology military incopirating Drones Radar aircrafts, long range artillery and electronic gathering intelligence ssets.

See how Nigerian Drones are used in the war against Terror, what you will never see on TV, unless there is another bomb blast.

Religion / My Presence Affecting Other People In A Psychic Way. HELP. by Chelseafan99: 5:26am On Feb 19, 2016
don't know if this a good place for what I want to say and ask. I'm sorry if it isn't. I must try because it's too important for me.

I was never into this stuff before. Never believed in such things. But life surprised me unpleasantly and now I must seek for help. It started happening few years ago and grew into something I can't handle anymore.

I've heard something about body energy, auras etc. I've heard all people have it. I guess it's alright for them because nobody is complaining.

My energy, aura (or whatever should I call it) is different. It's affecting people (little kids and animals also) in a not very pleasant way and it's completely out of my control.

I can sense presence of people without seeing them or hearing. And they somehow know about it. There is this invisible energy field around me. It will make people cough, choke, sniff, scratch their heads, whistle, make some obnoxious sounds or react in other weird, inappropriate way (when I'm out of their sight, silent). I saw them freezing, dropping things on the floor or looking at me with hostility, suspicion, fear. People would follow me when I'm walking in the supermarket until they realize it's not something they really wanted to do (like they would wake up from a hypnosis). When I'm passing by they will stop moving and just stand still with this blank stare. Some will simply run away or whisper something too me (rude things occasionally). When I speak to a single person it feels like my voice is directed to every person around. And they behave like it is. Everybody stops doing their thing and focus on what I'm saying. Not because I have a special or loud voice.

It's difficult for people to have a conversation which is audible for me. My brain will focus on what they are saying and will interfere somehow. They start feeling uncomfortable. Conversation ends awkwardly. If I hear somebody laughing out loud in far distance it will end up instantly making this person cough. I'm entering room full of people (I work in a restaurant) conversations stop, eating stops. Complete silence. I'm in the spotlight now. Some of them watch what am I doing with the biggest concern. Like everybody is waiting for me to do something unexpected. This will not happen because I don't want any attention, I just want to do my thing. I look normal and behave the same. As soon as I leave everything is back to normal, everybody is enjoying with a relief.

Animals are very sensitive to me. This dog ran like crazy when my finger moved. Not to mention other one that bit me.

It's unbelievable how fast people react when I would just look in their direction. For example: I'm riding on a bus, some person outside is standing far away in the distance, turned back to me. I look (just a glance), this person feels something and reacts to this immediately. It happens also when I see somebody's reflection in window or when I observe through surveillance cameras. Person will start looking around, searching for something. But nothing is there except me, but I'm too far away to be noticed. Some people can't walk straight when I come close (they tend to go towards me). I'm just moving forward, looking somewhere else, minding my own business. Some have trouble with standing up from a table when sitting next to me. Like they were struggling with some kind of a force. Friend once told me this: "Something is pulling me in your direction. And it's something evil". He was drunk and didn't remember anything the next day. But it only confirmed my theory that I affect people under the influence even more.

Some can't stand my presence. Few flat mates moved out from the same apartment. Many of them complained about feeling weird or having strange dreams. So I avoid people as much as possible. I always try to stay away and be silent at all times, to not to draw any attention. But something inside me wants all of it and I can't help it. It wants everybody to just shut up and focus on me (in short).

I feel this energy mostly in my legs (feet precisely) and also hands (people often look at my hands with unusual attention). It's very uncomfortable and hard to describe feeling. Sometimes shivering occurs. Also I'm feeling some kind of a short circuit in my head when somebody is near and is doing something (making noise, talking, moving). Then this impulse I create will make this person react. These sensations will stop as soon as this person will fall asleep. It also calms down when I listen to my mp3 player, but strikes immediately after song ends. Silence makes energy more effective. Worst is when people cough. They do this a lot. Why? Does it make them feel better? Coughing occurs often when I'm feeling emotions (like fear, sadness, happiness, anger etc). When I would think about saying something to somebody I'm having conversation with, but not actually saying it. When I'm creating a conversation in my mind. When I think about a person near me and in many other various situations. Energy is strongest in the morning right after I wake up and in the evening when I'm tired. There are days when it's weak, but then the next day it will come back stronger. I wish I could explain all this better, but circumstances are against it. I hope you get the idea.

How do you think does it feel for a person when I'm near? What kind of feeling makes them do all these unexplainable things?

Maybe it would be fun to have such ability but only if it was under control. Mine is out of control and is with me all the time. It makes my life really miserable and exhausting. That's why I'm looking for any help.

What is happening to me exactly?

Can anybody help me? Perhaps tell me how to control it or just help me to understand it better? Now it's beyond my comprehension and it scares me. I would be thankful for any advice.
Foreign Affairs / Pope Francis Vs Donald Trump- A Set Up !! by Chelseafan99: 10:26pm On Feb 18, 2016
I have written several articles about the media. The media's hitherto objective and unbiased ethos have been corrupted, and with hundreds of millions, even billions in potential revenue the media will go to any length to squeeze out controversial stories often times in complete disregard for the privacy of its victims (The Sun wire tap scandal comes to mind) even if it means sleeping with terrorists all day long.

Without Al-Jazeera and CNN's inspired conflict in the so called ''Arab Spring'', or what ever misnomer they choose to call it, 250,000 Syrians will be alive. North Africa will not be in such a chaotic state, terrorists will not have access to heavy weaponry to sell to Boko haram.

The same media shamelessly fed off the unprecedented attention the #BringBackOurGirls campaign received but did absolutely nothing to use the power of the media to bring about change, instead CNN and BBC made Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau an instant celebrity over night-the new kid on the block. Perhaps not surprisingly Boko Haram was stunned by the unexpected media attention and decided took full advantage by staging mutiple attacks in Abuja. Why should we blame them? A typical 30 seconds advert on CNN costs $150,000, Boko Haram is getting much more for free. Attacking soft targets with little strategic significance - the Nyaya bus terminal, not once but the same target twice highlights the fact that these terrorist groups will do what ever it takes, even if it means killing 12 year old kids in a publicity stunt to be in the news spotlight,In a shameless secrete affair , a marriage of convenience the terrorists creates the buzz, while the media without shame broadcasts terrorist propaganda videos and messages. The love of money truly makes for strange bed fellows.

Today the media is at it again, this time upping the anti . In their clever bit of subterfuge to spark controversy they have dragged the Pope and Donald Trump into a fight-the objective-provoke a potential war of words between GOP Republican front-runner Donald Trump and the Pope -Goldmine.

The last time i checked, the Pope is not the President of the United States. The Pope is not an American citizen. The Pope is not a diplomat or politician but a religious leader, the Pope should not have a say in American politics, the Pope should not be encouraged to endorse or condemn any candidate, this goes beyond the stupid, it borders on criminal. The journalist who dragged the pope into this by asking what he thought about Donald Trump should be ashamed of himself and resign.

On the flip side, last i checked the pope is not GOD. If only people can accord to God the loyalty and love and respect they have for the Pontiff our world will be a better place. It is increasingly becoming evident that the Pope is gradually going astray. He enjoys the unprecedented celebrity attention showered on him. It is the job of the American people to decide who is fit to be President or not. Donald Trump is not Catholic, many American citizens who will vote for Trump are not even Christians, why is the media, led by CNN pitting Trump and the Pope in a match up? How low is the media willing to stoop and in many cases bend down and hold the table for terrorists in their obscene quest for ratings with complete disregard for those that will be affected by their actions. It is no record science that Donald Trump will respond, which he did, he has the right to.

Christian Amanpours condemnation of Donald Trump for standing up to defend himself against -in her words '' The leader of one billion Catholics'' is beyond stupid, it is borderline insane. Being leader of one billion Catholics does not make one a god.

It is hard to believe that the media has no regulatory oversight in existence, never have hence the media can get away with lies and stiring up descent. It is time for a a regulatory oversight on the media, especially in America. The world is mired in conflict on a scale not seen since the second world war mainly because of the media.Sometimes the American President gets his news and Intel from CNN before CIA briefings.

It was amusing watching CNN's Hala Gorani (as i type these words) throw a question to a Turkish official Boutaina Shaaben, trying to prey on the Turkey-Russia tension, asking what she thought about Trumps ''insane'' claim that Russia is bombing the terrorists and not Turkish supported groups on the ground. The devil you know is better than the Angel you dont know. '' We have no idea who the people we are supporting are''

Expecting an outright ''this is nonsense'' or condemnation the Turkish officials remark was unexpected.. ''It is a good thing someone is asking the right question'', she quiped. Who are these people? we do not know them.''

The change in Hala Gorani's countenance gave her away. From a smiling face she was obviously stunned, stumbling in her response she quickly changed the subject. The dishonesty of the media is disgusting but relatively not life threatening. Pitting up people against each other, countries against each other is the real danger here, it can lead to unintended consequences.

The threat to global peace today is not ISIS, neither is it global warming, the threat to our world today is the Media. The excesses of the media has to be checked before they plunge the world into a thermonuclear conflict of apocalyptic proportions, a war that will leave the planet devastated and uninhabitable for thousands of years. The time to act is now.

There are two kinds of pride, both good and bad. 'Good pride' represents our dignity and self respect. 'Bad pride'is the deadly sin of superiority that reeks of conceit and arrogance-a trait widely associated with South Africa who sees itself as in a league of its on relative to the rest of the continent.

Every nation goes through a tumultuous period at one time or another. For the United States it was a battle against racial inequality, for South Africa it was the era of Apartheid, for Nigeria now it is radical Islamic Insurgency. If history is anything to go buy these challenges are usually surmounted. Today The United States has gone a long way from the days of segregation. In South Africa the Apartheid regime has been relegated into the history books. In Nigeria the radical jihadi group Boko Haram is seeing its last days.

We must be careful however never to play on the sensitivity of those experiences difficulties. In the apartheid era Africans could not fold its arms and watch idle as the native black population were oppressed and reduced to lower class citizens in their own country. In the spirit of brotherliness Africans united and for years provided assistance to the South African struggle for self determination and the end of racial discrimination. The fall of apartheid illustrated the fact that in unity and strength, Africa's problems are surmountable. All of Africa rejoiced in ecstatic joy when black South Africa became free. The end of apartheid and the release of Mandela was not just a South African victory, it was an African victory .

Today Nigeria is facing a challenge like it has never seen in its history. Being the most developed and powerful nation state in West Africa Nigeria shouldered the weight of the sub region. While Eastern and Southern regions of Africa experienced decades of continuous conflict Nigeria's military was the force for peace and stability in West Africa, often times placing the priorities of neighboring states first before the country, often to the chagrin and condemnation of its citizens. Nigeria was a military dictatorship when in the wake of a military coup in S-leone, sent its army to to restore restore the toppled democratically elected President. In Liberia the fear of the Nigerian armed forces was what stood in the way between Liberia's power hungry military commanders and its democracy. In a paradox democracy in West Africa was dependent on a military dictatorship. Nigeria spent $10 billion in peace keeping and humanitarian operations in these countries but never once did a Nigerian government/military official or its citizens criticized, condemned or make a mockery of the people of those countries.

In Nigeria's struggle against Islamic Jihadists the camaraderie that once characterized the African Union is no where to be found, instead some African countries view Nigeria's struggle as a target of opportunity, a free for all period. Boko Haram for years was supplied weapons by the Chadian dictator Idris Derby. In Cameroon the government on numerous occasions have been caught paying ransoms to the tune of millions of dollars to Boko Haram. In South Africa the Zuma administration could not resists the opportunity to embarrass the Nigerian government and cripple its war efforts when in 2014 it seized $15 million meant for the procurement of arms for the Nigerian military reeling under the effect of America's ban on selling weapons to Nigeria, from two Nigerians and an Israeli who arrived the country desperate for arms as Boko Haram ravaged North East Nigeria.

In a show of bravado and triumph the South African government declared it will not return the ceased money to Nigeria unless it follows due process-which at best will take months. This is the sorry state of African Unity today.

Just recently Eeben Barlow, a South African Private Military Contractor who enjoys a special relationship with Nigeria, praised and regarded as a hero by Nigerian people (look up beegeagle.) and paid tens of millions of dollars could as well not resist the opportunity to paint Nigeria in an awfully negative light. In his words (posted on his blog) :

STTEP’s men made a very positive difference in Nigeria until we were forced to leave but we also lost 3 of our men in Nigeria; we had adrenalin rushes, expectations, waiting, laughter, highs and lows, cheap airlines, rundown airports, meetings, proposals, headshaking, briefings, presentations, bad food, terrible water, long hours, little sleep and some blood, sweat and tears.
Many in South Africa are made to believe that South African white mercenary helped turn the tide against the Islamist militant group Boko Haram, allowing Nigeria to hold a relatively peaceful election, conveniently ignoring the fact that Nigeria stood alone in this fight for 5 years, even the Obama administration refused to recognize Boko Haram a terrorist organisation until he was forced to do so media attention on the 200 kidnapped Nigerian school girls. It is an insult to the Nigerian people to suggest a group of fifty something year old men made the difference in Nigeria's war against Boko Haram. Perhaps most importantly in epitomises the narrative people have of South Africa(black or white) being an arrogant disrespectful nation with a false sense of importance.

Nigeria, a country with hitherto no experience in Counter Insurgency operations, hit by America's weapons ban and French clandestine subversive operations should be lauded for its remarkable achievement over the years. There are 65 of the worlds most powerful counties in Syria today, they are no closer to defeating ISIS or matching Nigeria's success in defeating home grown terrorism.
