Nairaland / General / The Abortion Arguments by chineduemmao: 12:16am On Jul 24, 2018
I grew up with an intense moral imperative especially about life, this is partly due to the fact that am inherently rational (proof am human) and due to religious standpoints and upbringing. At this stage, I still see all life as sacred without duress, without subjugations no reservation for destitute reasons to kill at any instant. For me no matter what justifiable reason there is, life is still life.

It beats my imagination how many toll directly opposite to this belief of mine that i consider all rounder like a universal law that should be governing all souls, it could be bigotry on my own side ethnocentric maybe but i know am civil enough not to be a complete bigot there are still rooms for others opinion Irrespective of what i do with them, completely my choice.

How i first processed this message from a facebook friend about how she is greatful of the choice to abort a fetus is rather abysmal, i have never shyed away from a civil discussion before but i lost this one, i couldn't comprehend it. I have kept on asking myself what made this young woman say something like this then i asked her "why are u greatfull for being granted a legall choice to kill a developing child?" She replied first by countering my reference point of a fetus as a developing child and said its rather not called a child in any form cause its not yet of that character to be a child then she went further to explain how she could feel unready at any point in the pregnancy and could be prompted to see the pregnancy as unwanted and this fact gives her the summum right to remove any unwanted object from her body the way she'd remove a tumour. I couldnt reply this, not because i do not know what to say, but because what to say if it fails to convince the nuisance that she has no such rights to objectify an unborn child then whatever i have said, to me is pointless.

She is strong and clearcut in her words she knows what she said but i can justify how misguided they were. This prompted me to throw in a little research about states that have legalised abortion.
I found out that most countries that legalised abortion did so on anecdotal references to stories of rape and unconsesual sex that could have led to trauma on the side of the helpless woman. On a matter of providence, yes cases like that exist but on a very minial fraction (that doesn't mean they should be swept under the carpet). There were over 846,000 abortions in the USA in 2014, of which 50% involved young girls under 24 years.

In our quest to enjoy the full pleasure of sex without having to deal with the consequences we've invented our own logics to suite.
I have been asked if the female body is an incubator that it should be forced to keep what it does not want to. The answer to that question is another question; what is the need for contraceptives?
It is basically true that no contraceptives is 100% efficient it is also true that the small inefficiency of contraceptives are due to the user's fault. I am not preaching about abstinence i don't even know what that word tells but is it not better the world deals with a little bit of human carelessness than experience a mass hysteria of miniature murders rebranded abortion?

Little is being told of the trauma experienced by majority of women who has had abortions by supporters of faith "abortion", they paint a weak picture of its emotional effect on the woman and focus primarily on objectifying the unborn child.

Feminists pulling the strings of abortion rights on the basis of bodily anatomy have failed to realise or rather kept a blind eye to the truth that we have natural roles which is independent of our political or moral inclinations, when it comes to the case of abortion it is no longer what u want for your body but what what u want in relation to its effect on the other guy somewhere inside.
You want to binge, but when it will affect the other guy your binging becomes a crime its as simple as that and should be. I have heard cases where a breastfeeding mother was arrested for drinking, what does the "it-is-my-body-i'll-do-what-i-want" logic do in this case? It is simply helpless so to say, but feminists fail to admit the fact that we are not that free to choose what to or not to do with our own body.

Majority of unwanted pregnancies are teenage and mistaken pregnancies by two consenting adults and not of rape or incest, it is on this note that i maintain that using anecdotes of rape and incest to back-up support for abortion makes the whole situation lack credence and inconsequential because in real life, you first of all consider the majority before the minority, its just common sense.

I understand U cant make a point without insulting pple...I admire the confidence u display by quoting someone u don't know and say his opinion is rubbish.

Like u feel u are superior, once it's not inline with ur opinion, then it's nonsense..... How do u feel now? After having no constructive argument or opinion. But just to insult others so that u can feel good. Oga that's pathetic way to live life..
sorry but unfortunately you need more teaching from ur gay pals to tell u that no known hormone has been linked with your homosexual bullcrap
Romance / Re: "Boys Boarding School Didn't Turn Your Son Gay, Being Gay Is Hormonal" - Lady by chineduemmao: 4:06pm On Jun 09, 2018
wildimagination:

Its the same oestrogen...the hormone that makes a woman a woman.
Its the hormone that is more expressed during organogenesis and foetal development that determines the sex of a child because there have been cases of equal male and female hormones expression causing hermaphroditic outcomes, or even girl without vagina opening at all but later corrected with surgery.

Her idealogy as some scientist have theorerize..is that gay guys are just folks with a little too much of oestrogen even though that have a peniss and beard like every other straight guy . Making them like boys like them, and want to behave like girls.... because why would any guy in his right mind like another guy and want to get down with him...So they aren't really insane, it's just the way they feel.

The truth is at some point of our life during development in the womb, we were all females before one hormone either oestrogen or testosterone now supercedes the other and differentiates us into one sex. But anything can go slightly wrong.
see the kin confidence dis one use the type rubbish. mtcheew

Ramos didn't do what any defender would have done.. Fair play defenders any ways. but then majority of the petition is due to the fact that Salah was the player fans wanted to see yesterday and Ramos rubbed us of that and more. so gimme pen, i gats sign
exactly the point, I supported Ronaldo to win UCL but after that tackle I lost interest in the match. Ramos made it boring and one-sided.

A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT CANON D MAJOR...

Pachelbel’s Canon in D is one of the most famous pieces of classical music of all time, but the facts behind the composition aren’t as well known. This enduring classical work is as simple as three violins, one cello, and eight bars of music repeated 28 times.

Johann Pachelbel’s Canon has risen in popularity to become one of the best-known pieces of classical music ever written.

It’s hard to imagine a time when this piece wasn’t a firm favourite at weddings, but in reality, not very much is known about Pachelbel’s most famous piece. We don’t even know exactly when it was composed, although it’s thought it was around 1680. There are a few unsubstantiated claims that the music was written for the wedding of Bach’s brother, Johann Christoph, on 23 October 1694, but this is pretty unlikely.

The Canon’s popularity snowballed in the 1970s, after French conductor Jean-François Paillard made a recording. Since then, the music has been recorded hundreds of times, and the iconic harmony has made its way into pop songs, films, and adverts. But even before the public got hold of the piece, classical composers knew Pachelbel was on to a good thing – Handel, Haydn, and Mozart all used the iconic bass line in some of their compositions in the following years.
It’s easy to be distracted by the tight harmonies and the three pretty violin tunes, but Pachelbel’s approach to writing the music was almost mathematical. He uses an ostinato (the same bass line repeated over and over again) and a canon (the same music repeated by the violin parts, in a round) to construct his piece.

Listen out for the same music being passed between the violins.
No wonder he had such good compositional technique: Pachelbel wrote more than 500 pieces over his lifetime. He was a prolific organist in his hometown of Nuremburg, and even taught the man who became Bach’s teacher. Despite the sheer volume of his output, there’s still no system to number all of his works.
For a closer look at his style, have a listen to the Chaconne in F minor, the
Toccata in E minor for organ, and his set of variations, Hexachordum Apollini.

I first heard this beautiful piece when I was five. It rings the break time alarm in the clock when I was in primary school, it took me extra 17 years to know that the most prominent tone in my younger years is a classical tone by composer Johann Pachelbel titled "canon d major" am dumbfounded lipsrsealed.

Go to her facebook page and find out the reason for the question. The question is not why she put it all but why did she put it FIRST, considering that her husband cheated on her. You also know that one of the allegations the opposition gave on twitter and Facebook is that "Hillary is deceitful woman because she stuck with a man who cheated and lied about it". What she did gave her a really and name.

America is not Nigeria where they take men cheating as child's play.

And how many literary awards did flora nwapa get for her troubles?

The taste
comparing Flora to Adichie is like comparing Jesus and Adeboye. Flora grew and flourished in a period when the world was still seeking dynamics, she never experienced harmony and tranquility till her death; ranging from WWI through WWII then the civil war then the coup after coup that followed yet she was able to leave a footprint in the world of art even as a woman. She could have gone to live in america and naturalise there like Adichie but she didnt she stayed back and contributed even as a woman in a very tough era, she didnt consider herself a feminist even in a time there was really something to fight for but u never ask why, she made the way 4 female education in 9jiria but it didnt get into her head dats who u want to compare with Adichie who is enjoying a finished work? lol. Now u talk about awards what would u do if i tell u NWAMKPA is older than all Adichie's acolades?

y'all don't get the drift, do you?

The chat between Hillary and CHIMAMANDA was that if a menthor and a menthee....Hillary being the menthor of feminist around the world could not disagree with her menthee who felt she was showing weakness for identifying with being a wife....like a guy illustrated it here some days ago, if Abu Shekau is challenged by one his boys that look up to him for not wrecking havoc enough, he won't disagree but agree knowing that he has succeeded in breeding a more dangerous specie than himself. ....the only weak person is the menthee who might never know that she's just part of a bigger scheme, she's bn used without knowing it.
its not like Hillary is even a typical feminist
