One of the most underperformed lawmaker from Delta in the 9th assembly?

Even ordinary house of assembly was bribed 100 million to step down.

These politicians make too much yet refuse to give back to the people. At least personally they can organise funding of business, scholarship and other things but majority do not.

Just wasting it on prostitutes and a little to their aids.

Sometimes I think the problem is not that they don’t have the Will to work for the people, but they are mostly clueless as to how to go about it.
Politics / Re: Delta PDP Federal Lawmaker Rewards Aide For “Loyalty” by Christianokaro(m): 9:55am On May 28, 2023
While Leo Ogor is rewarding his aide for loyalty, can the people of Isoko north and Isoko south reward him for quality representation and performance while he represented them at the National Assembly from 2003-2023?
A 20 year long career at the National Assembly yet his constituency is one of the most underdeveloped in delta state despite being a major contributor to our “national oil economy”

The outgoing member representing Isoko North/Isoko South federal constituency in the House of Representatives and one time Deputy Majority Leader and former Minority Leader of the House, Hon Leo Ogor, has gifted his security aide a brand new Lexus 350 for his “loyalty”

Politics / Re: Renovated Asaba Stadium & Delta State Government’s Maintenance Culture by Christianokaro(m): 12:12pm On Nov 30, 2022
And this is exactly where concerns are raised for many people. In Delta state, almost every government infrastructure typically needs total renovation within few months of use or operation.
Roads are constructed and in 6 months they already need reconstruction, go to our rural communities and see public health centers completed 6 months ago. It’s almost as though we have it worse.
It’s not enough to say Deltans, celebrate the national sports festival while you have it. The big question is, what next after this use?
Major renovation 4 years after?
With 13% oil derivation fund?
Politics / Re: Renovated Asaba Stadium & Delta State Government’s Maintenance Culture by Christianokaro(m): 12:04pm On Nov 30, 2022
However, few years after 2018 when Delta won the bid to host the 2022 national sports festival, the same administration who take credit for completing and commissioning the stadium, will embark on a renovation exercise running into billions of naira again. This is a stadium that was completed 4 years ago, why did it need major renovations in just 4 years?
How much money was spent for this 2nd renovation? Well it runs into billions of naira too

Politics / Re: Renovated Asaba Stadium & Delta State Government’s Maintenance Culture by Christianokaro(m): 11:59am On Nov 30, 2022
The Stephen Keshi stadium formerly known as Asaba township stadium was started by the 1999-2007 James Ibori administration, but it took the 2015-2019 first term of governor Okowa to complete the project with funds running into billions of naira.
The project was commissioned in 2018 by Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and was put to use in that same year

Politics / Renovated Asaba Stadium & Delta State Government’s Maintenance Culture by Christianokaro(m): 11:55am On Nov 30, 2022
As Asaba, the Delta state capital plays host to the National Sports Festival tagged Delta 2022, Deltans have been charged to embrace the sports festival with positivity and all sorts. However, many Deltans seem to have a different concern, sports come and go, people and festivities too, but will our stadium survive past the feast?
Sports / Re: See The Newly Renovated Stadium NSF Will Be Holding by Christianokaro(m): 11:23am On Nov 30, 2022
While the media says 13,000 athletes are expected in the Delta state capital for this event, many residents don’t seem as enthusiastic as one would expect. Considering how much has been budgeting for the sports festival by the Delta state government
Sports / Re: See The Newly Renovated Stadium NSF Will Be Holding by Christianokaro(m): 11:21am On Nov 30, 2022
The opening ceremony is expected to begin today with musicians like Harrysong and Ruger performing at the Stephen Keshi stadium, Asaba

As Nigerians celebrate yet another sports festival tagged, Delta 2022. I’ll be doing you the honors of side updates in the city while it lasts.

Do you know that the Stephen Keshi stadium construction was started by the 1999-2007 administration of governor James Ibori?
But it wasn’t completed until the 2015-date administration of governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

While it was completed during Okowa’s first term with some huge billions of naira, few years apart, the same administration spent yet another set of billions renovating same stadium and here goes the end product

Though I didn't watch the video but is Warri not finished before?
Has Delta not been in soup since 1999?
What's the legacy of all three administrations in the state?
"it's been a" Money dey, Make we chop am" ideology leading the state since 1999.
A state that should be competing with Lagos and Rivers on economic strength has been reduced to the more you look the less you see by fraudulent leaders both in government and rural communities...
Deltans, 2023 should not be business as usual oo biko

..one can be hot headed and just go to court and marry without TRADITIONAL and/or Christian/Islamic...if you have the guts...a friend of mine did it and relocated to Canada peacefully when the family refuse them getting married...so..it's your choice

Court, Yes, that's very possible. Even popular singer, Omawumi did that years before finally having her traditional marriage. However, as a Nigerian based in Nigeria, you can never do that with white wedding. That tells you how inconsequential it is to us
Culture / Re: Why Do Africans Do White Wedding? by Christianokaro(m): 11:22am On Apr 16, 2022
rickpat:
..it's just religious marriage...just as you have TRADITIONAL and Islamic MARRIAGE too. .the Christian MARRIAGE is just more like blessing your MARRIAGE in regards to your belief.. it is just conflicting of interest... people claim not to be traditionalist but you do traditional MARRIAGE...either way...it's abou what people want and what works for them

It's not about what people want and what works for them. It's people not being intentional about these things. It's people wanting to do because others are doing.
Its people being forced to do because if they don't, they will not be allowed to partake in holy communion (in some churches).
Its Africans having slave mentality.

Meanwhile, Religion is a part of tradition and Christianity/Islam has its origin tied to some cultures.
Culture / Re: Why Do Africans Do White Wedding? by Christianokaro(m): 10:26am On Apr 16, 2022
rickpat:
OP, white wedding is not white's man tradition...white wedding is actually Christian MARRIAGE...white people that are not Christians DON'T DO "WHITE WEDDING" as you call it..they just go to the court house and marry (which is more recognized by their government)...then for Nigeria.."white wedding" is optional...you can just walk to a court and get married or go to the local government registry (these are the ones government recognizes, along with the official documents)...so you can even marry without TRADITIONAL or RELIGIOUS marriage (Christian marriage or Islamic MARRIAGE)...NB CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE IS SAME AS WHITE WEDDING AND NOT WHITES MAN TRADITION...BUT MARRIAGE DONE BY CHRISTIANS

Whites that are Muslims or believe in whatever they believe,do the MARRIAGE according to their beliefs and then go to the court house to get the MARRIAGE officially registered

If marriage is the coming together of 2 to become one, and they have been traditionally joined, is church wedding then not a laughable practice?
Especially since the church will ask if they've done traditional marriage before they can be wedded?
The gan gan, for an African is traditional marriage.
People need to start normalizing that it's okay to not have a white wedding. No be your culture
Culture / Re: Why Do Africans Do White Wedding? by Christianokaro(m): 10:21am On Apr 16, 2022
.NB CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE IS SAME AS WHITE WEDDING

I think you confirmed this yourself already but let me even ask, where in the bible did you see church organized marriage?
Tell me about its not the white man's tradition

Stupidity and irrational deeds is inherent in us.

Foolish backward blacks copying stupid white tradition but can't copy the positive ones.

I find it funny, cause some couples I have asked personally, couldn't even defend why they did both. Often a case of, its the trend

One thing I'll never seem to understand is why Nigerians after fulfilling their traditional marriage rites, still go ahead to have a white wedding in church.

I mean, why get married traditional and still copy oyinbo peoples marriage?

Is this not mental slavery?

To think that a lot of people struggling financially will empty their savings and even borrow just to get married twice.
What do you think?

You'll agree with me that all of these stated above, are necessary knowledge that can shoot our girls into having the right mindset for their life's journey.

Can these be thought/inculcated into these kids by their parents?
The answer is yes.

Do the parents have the time to teach them these?
Most often, the answer is no. Parents are so busy trying to make money.

Don't let your hustle stop you from giving your daughters these basic knowledge.
