Car Talk / Re: Advice Needed ...how Did You Move From Being An Amateur To A Pro In Driving? by Chuxxy4me(m): 11:31am On May 28, 2016
Practice will improve ur skill over time. But remember that becoming a good driver will not make u understand geographical areas of Lagos but driving around Lagos more will make u conversant with Lagos. While at it, be in the company of a seasoned driver who knows his way around and will guide through roads that are one way etc to avoid issues with the authorities. It will take a while but u will become a pro soon wink

I would have come since o! It was the spelling of my moniker that was wrong grin good thing I have multiple that have included all the wrong spellings grin

OP your O2 sensor is 15k each, you have 2. You will also need a scan, and we will need to inspect your catalyst.

Haba Gazzuz. Na used one or brand new? I need contact if new pls. Last time I checked , it was between 35k to 40k.

Yes. The upstream oxygen sensors are the A/F sensors while the 2 downstream sensors are the heated oxygen sensors proper. They look alike with same wire colors but if u check well, u will notice that the wire position is different for both upstream and downstream though same colors. Meaning that if u interchange them, it wont work

Car Talk / Re: How Can I Remove A Flat Tire Stuck Or Fused To The Car? by Chuxxy4me(m): 3:03pm On May 18, 2016
Screw the nuts back but loose. Jack up the car for the tyre to roll freely then hit the rim hard from the inside. It will move but pls put parking so the car doesn't rest on u if the jack fails since the tyre is already flat.

Most likely low on refrigerant. Check for leaks and fix if found then vacuum the system b4 recharging with a good refrigerant
Car Talk / Re: Plz I Need Urgent Help by Chuxxy4me(m): 10:49am On May 04, 2016
Check d compartments well. D fuel level on both compartments should be almost equal at all times except if d car is parked at an incline cos both compartments are linked. Thereafter, check ur fuel pump assembly.

Car Talk / Re: Please Advice by Chuxxy4me(m): 5:17pm On May 03, 2016
IMHO... The BMW will be costlier to purchase, costlier to maintain if it needs to be repaired and won't sell fast if u decide to sell it when tired when compared to MDX and RX. Though BMW is rugged and doesn't require frequent maintenance.
Car Talk / Re: High RPM by Chuxxy4me(m): 5:03pm On May 03, 2016
You are gradually killing the engine. Better get it fixed before it creates other problems for u aside digging holes in your pocket fuel wise. Meanwhile check the evap lines for cracked/leaking hose

Car Talk / Re: Most Nigerian (AC)Technicians & Mechanics are Quacks >:( by Chuxxy4me(m): 4:35pm On May 03, 2016
It is possible to fix car ac system and have it work same way it left the assembly plant but will cost more in terms of finance and man hour. But most times the technician want the easy way out so that he will have less issues to deal with in the event that the car comes back for the same issue. The owner too may want to spend less so long as the car cools. So to avoid long grammar, i offer the two options and let the owner decide but will explain the side effect(s) of any conversion done. But whatever the option, if done well it will serve the owner provided he is willing to buy quality parts.

Car Talk / Re: Sensored Key Was Lost & Unsensored Spare Is Not Starting My Car by Chuxxy4me(m): 10:37am On Jun 25, 2015
It's always good to state where u are based. The key has to be programmed to start the car. If your spare does not have a chip embedded in it, it cannot be programmed to work in which case u have to get another key with chip for the programming to be successful
