The Osun State Police Command has arrested three suspected ritualists with a human heart in Osogbo/OAU Ife Campus Road, Osun State.
The suspects, Olayade Kehinde, 25, Olufemi Oriyomi, 21 and Raimi Sheriff, 21 were arrested last Thursday, April 7 by police detectives on ‘stop and search’ duty.

Following reports from The Command’s spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola, in a statement on Friday, said the trio on a motorcycle, were flagged down by Police on ‘Stop and Search’, “but rather than stop, sped off, and were pursued.”

The trio, according to the statement, were arrested in Safejo area of Ile-Ife.

The human heart, which they claimed was one of their friends, and various criminal charms, were found on them, Opalola stated.

Opalola further stated that one of the suspects, Oriyomi fell sick and was taken to hospital for treatment, but unfortunately, died while on admission.

His corpse, according to her, has been deposited at the State hospital for autopsy.

The United States Government has approved the sale of AH-1Z Attack Helicopter Related FMS Acquisitions and related equipment to Nigeria.



According to daily posts,The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), under the Department of Defense, has delivered the certification, notifying Congress of the $1 billion deal.

Nigeria has requested to buy 12 AH-1Z Attack Helicopters, 28 T-700 GE 401C engines (24 installed, 4 spares), and 2,000 Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) guidance sections.

Others are communication equipment, electronic warfare systems, AN/AVS-9 Aviator’s Night Vision Imaging System, M197 20mm machine gun, and Target Sight System (TSS).

Night Vision Cueing Display (NVCD), commercial variant GPS with Standard Positioning Service (SPS), spare engine containers, spare and repair parts, tools and test equipment were also ordered.

America will provide technical data and publications, personnel training and training equipment, a Mission Planning system, U.S. Government and contractor engineering, contractor assistance and oversight of facilities construction.

The South African police Wednesday uprooted cannabis plants grown by indigenous activists who have camped outside President Cyril Ramaphosa’s office for more than three years, AFP reporters saw.
Their leader, wearing a traditional loincloth, clung to a shoulder-height plant as police dragged it across the presidential lawn in Pretoria before arresting him.

“Police… you have declared war,” he shouted. “We have been here peacefully. We are coming for you,” warned the man, who calls himself King Khoisan South Africa.

The Khoisan were formerly known as Bushmen or Hottentots — a name coined by Dutch settlers in the 17h century, reflecting the clicks characteristic of their languages.

During the raid, another activist yelled in Afrikaans at the police, asking them: “For plants? For plants? You are rubbish people in uniforms.”

The group’s tarpaulin tents have been a fixture on the emerald lawns of the South African president’s office since 2018 when they began a campaign for official recognition of their languages.

Just In: The Federal Government of Nigeria has lifted the suspension of Twitter operations in the country after 214 days, following approval from President Muhammadu Buhari.



The update was revealed by the Chairman Technical Committee Nigeria-Twitter Engagement and Director-General National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, CCIE.

Following a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, Kashifu said the approval was given following a memo written to Buhari by his Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof Isa Ali Ibrahim.

He stated: “The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) directs me to inform the public that President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved the lifting of the suspension of Twitter operation in Nigeria effective from 12am tonight, 13th January 2022.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested popular Instagram comedian, Joshua Sunday better known as Degeneral for drugs.
Degeneral was allegedly arrested in the early hours of Wednesday 12 2022 at his residence in Lagos.

The comedian had gone live on Instagram before his arrest where he was seen confronting NDLEA officers at his residence.

Few minutes into the conversation, he was slapped and his phones destroyed and the live video ended.

Mean while,According to reports from the NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi, The 22 years old skit maker was arrested on Wednesday January 12 2022 following the raid of a notorious drug joint at Orchid Estate, Lekki area of ​​Lagos state.

Acting on credible intelligence, narcotic officers stormed the drug joint in the estate, where three suspects were arrested with illicit drugs including 200 sachets of 225mg Tramadol and 1.5kilograms of cannabis sativa. In the course of the operation, some persons including the suspected dealer ran away with bags suspected to contain exhibits.

The Nigerian Army has detained the unnamed female Private soldier who publicly accepted a viral marriage proposal from a male corps member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kwara State.
The Army confirmed that the female soldier was placed under arrest since the recorded public proposal which took place at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Yikpata, Kwara State went viral on Social Media.

Following reports it was gathered that the romantic event actually took place at the Passing Out Parade (POP) of Batch B, Stream 2 of the 2021 Corp Members on Tuesday.

A Pastor known as Peter Taiwo of Christ Apostolic Bible Church, Alaja Oke, Saje, Abeokuta, has been arrested with his wife for conniving to defile a 16-year-old choir member of the church.

The couple in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Ogun Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, on Sunday, were arrested following a report by the victim (name withheld) at the Adatan Divisional headquarters.

Following the statement said, The victim reported that she went to the church for choir practice while the pastor’s wife informed the victim that the pastor who is in the room would like to send her on an errand.

The victim reported that the pastor’s wife locked the door from behind as she entered the room, while her husband forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

The PPRO in the statement said, “The young girl stated that as soon as she got into the room, the pastor’s wife locked the door from outside, consequent upon which the pastor overpowered her, and forcefully had sex with her.

FUTO student arrested for emptying a pot of hot water on her colleague over toothpaste

A 300-level student of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), in Imo State, identified as Miracle Ogochukwu Chiagoziem, has been arrested by the police for allegedly pouring hot water on her colleague.
The 19-year-old suspect allegedly attacked one Wisdom Uchenna Chukwuemeka, a 400 level student of Geology department, with hot water, after he refused to give her toothpaste.

The unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, November 4, 2021, at their hostel in Eziobodo.

According to reports gathered, Miracle had gone to ask Wisdom for toothpaste, but he was said to have had company at the time, and didn't answer his door.

After several knocks, a furious Miracle was said to have created a scene in front of his door before returning to her room.

"Wisdom later come out to confront her over her behavior, and an argument ensued. She threatened to pour hot water on him if he doesn't leave. There’s currently an unrest in Ile Iwe Command, Ipaja area of Lagos State, after a bribe-seeking police officer allegedly stabbed a tricyclist to death over N50 bribe.

This unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday morning, November 4, 2021.

According to reports gathered, the tricyclist was convening passengers when he was stopped by police officers, who asked him for an N50 bribe.

It’s unclear what transpired afterward but an officer was said to have stabbed him in the chest, killing him on the spot.

A 24-year-old man, Majiyagbe Olamilekan, has been arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly stabbing his wife to death with a pair of scissors.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, following a statement on Wednesday said that the suspect was arrested following a distress call received by the police in Ode Remo divisional headquarters at about 3:00 pm.

“It was reported that the suspect locked himself and his wife one Seun Mojiyagbe up in their room and started beating the wife. It was the wailing of the wife that attracted the neighbors, who made all efforts to persuade the suspect to open the door but he refused,” Oyeyemi said.

He added that upon the distress call, the Divisional Police Officer, Ode Remo division, CSP Olayemi Fagbohun, quickly mobilised his men and moved to the scene where the door to the couple’s apartment was forced open. The victim was then found lying down unconscious in the pool of her own blood.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has said that the eNaira is more reliable than cryptocurrencies.
CBN Director of Corporate Communications, Nnamdi Okwuosa, said this at the CBN Fair to sensitise stakeholders and the general public in Abia and Ebonyi States.

Okwuosa described the eNaira as a legal tender issued by a sovereign nation and regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria, whereas cryptocurrencies are unregulated.

He said, “Digital currency (eNaira) is more reliable than cryptocurrency which is not regulated.”

At least 50 people are reportedly trapped under the rubble after a 21-storey building collapsed in Ikoyi, Lagos State, Arise TV is reporting, quoting witnesses.
The building located at 20, Gerrard Road, collapsed around 3 p.m. on Monday.

The television station said the owner of the building and some construction workers are among those inside the building when it collapsed.

Emergency responders were yet to arrive at the scene, as of the time of filing this report.

Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya-led government of Gombe State has withheld the payment of salaries of 781 workers over their absenteeism.

According to reports the erring workers were mentioned when the state government was implementing Biometric Attendance Verification for Civil Servants in the state on Friday, October 29.

A statement made available to newsmen by the state commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Muhammad Gambo Magaji, revealed that the workers were penalized for being absent from work in the month of September.



The commissioner further said that another 820 workers were to be investigated, adding that the state government saved N50 million from the suspension of salaries of the affected workers for the month.

He, however, noted that the 820 staff with salaries amounting to N56 million are to be investigated but would earn their salaries for the month after serious scrutiny.

Federal Government has extended the deadline for NIN-SIM data verification to the end of 2021.
This was contained in a joint statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Dr Ikechukwu Adinde, and the Head, Corporate Communications at Nigeria Identity Management Commission, Mr Kayode Adegoke issued on Saturday.

President Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) has said that he will leave office when his tenure ends on May 29, 2023.

A resolution is imminent in the dispute over more than 1,000 bronzes stolen from the former Kingdom of Benin. Germany wants to return all the objects to Nigeria.
Germany is set to return more than 1,000 previously disputed bronzes looted from the former Kingdom of Benin, in present-day Nigeria.
The German Press Agency (DPA) quoted Nigerian Information and Culture Minister Alhaji Lai Mohammed as saying that delegations of both countries have signed a memorandum of understanding in Nigeria's capital, Abuja. An agreement will follow before the end of December.
"The German government and the German people have taken a courageous step by agreeing to return the artifacts voluntarily and without much pressure from Nigeria," DPA quoted the culture minister as saying.

The Rivers State Police Command have has arrested a man for gaining unlawful access to an electronic billboard and streaming X-rated material on it in Port-Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The porn video was erroneously displayed at around 8am on Thursday and were captured by bemused bystanders, who took to social media to share the explicit videos.

Tragedy hits in Sagamu when a 71-year-old man, identified as Ajibola Olufemi Adeniyi, reportedly died during a sex romp with a commercial sex worker inside a hotel in Ogun State.
According to reports it was gathered that the incident happened on Monday at 50/50 hotel Ogijo, Sagamu Local Government Area of the State.

The deceased, a resident of 22, Akilo Street, Bariga, Lagos State, had visited the brothel to ‘relax’ with one of the prostitutes therein, who was simply identified as Joy.

The founder of the Dunamis International Gospel Church, DIGC, Paul Enenche, has described the plan to make COVID-19 vaccination compulsory as an agenda from the “pit of hell”.
Recall that the Federal Government on Wednesday announced that it would ban workers who fail to show proof of their COVID-19 vaccination from accessing their offices as from December 1 this year.

The Secretary to the Government, Boss Mustapha, said workers will be required to show their vaccination card or a test result done within 72 hours before being allowed into their various offices.
