Church members and other well-wishers hoping the matrimonial squabble between popular televangelist, Chris Oyakhilome and his wife, Anita, would be resolved in no time should forget it as Mrs. Oyakhilome has ruled out the possibility of ever reconciling with her estranged husband.

Speaking to PREMIUM TIMES, through her lawyers, Mrs Oyakhilome said her relationship with Pastor Chris had terribly degenerated that there is no room for any reconciliation or out-of-court settlement.

This newspaper had contacted Mrs. Oyakhilome through her lawyers, Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, after news broke that she had filed for divorce, to enquire whether any out-of-court settlement option was being explored.
In their response Tuesday, her attorneys said there was no chance the estranged couple would ever live as husband and wife again.

“It is with great sadness that our client, Pastor Anita Oyakhilome, has come to the conclusion that her marriage to Pastor Christian Oyakhilome has irretrievably broken down and regrettably there is no hope of any reconciliation,” said Stephen Goddard, Business Development Manager of Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors.

From early this year, there had been speculation that the marriage between Mr Oyakhilome, the founder of Believers Love World (aka Christ Embassy), and his wife, who is also Vice-president of the ministry, was collapsing.

Some church members even set up a Facebook page, “Where is Rev Anita Oyakhilome”, in May dedicated to addressing the issue.

The church initially denied reports that the couple were estranged and possibly divorcing.

But TheCable news website reported on August 29 that Mrs. Oyakhilome had filed for divorce since April 9, accusing Pastor Chris, as he is fondly called by his followers, of “adultery” and “unreasonable behavior”.

Pastor Chris has denied the allegations. He however warned church members against analyzing his problem with his wife adding that the church is not a political party.

He said his wife is a bitter and angry woman who is being influenced by bad friends who are out to seek his downfall.

The pastor added that most pastors’ wives usually think they are equal to their husbands after they get married.

He said his wife wanted to overpower the authorities of the elders she met when she joined the Christian ministry.

As the divorce battle rages, Mrs. Oyakhilome’s profile has been pulled down from the church’s website.

First of all, I think you have made some ad hoc modifications to your answer but I'll roll with it anyway.

I will draw your attention to two phrases and ask some clarification questions?

1. "if immaterial information/mind began as complex...." Would you hold that if information starts out simple and becomes increasingly complex, then it is possible that there is no mind behind it

2. ".....a creative mind which itself must have in turn been created" Would you hold that it is impossible for an uncreated creative mind to exist?

1. Yes, it is highly possible.

2. If we follow the logic that everything requires a creator. Then yes, the creator mind also could not have been uncreated. If we follow the logic that some realities or elements of nature has always existed, then the creative mind and the informations MAY have always been existing.

For one, we don't know if it BEGIN to exist or it has ALWAYS BEEN.

Even if it began to to exist, it might have begun as a non-complex information at first and increasing get more complex over the generations.

My answer.
If it began as complex as this.(Please note that I said if it BEGAN ...), then a creative mind (who must have been designed by a more creative and more complex mind) must have brought it to be.

Don't go until you define the more complex mind that must have created this your Deist God. Or else the logic you used to arrive at this conclusion is fatally faulty.

If you are saying that you don't know if information is created by a mind or not, you must then apply that skepticism to everywhere you come across information.

i.e. You don't know if books came from the creative minds of authors or not, you don't know if websites such as nairaland.com have mindful creators or not, you don't know if the message you are currently reading came from a mind or not.

Maybe further scientific discoveries will shed more light on the origin of information to tell us whether they come from minds or not.

If you follow mainstream science sites, you should be aware scientists are now proposing that the universe must be infinite because the evidence of the universe not being formed by chance is considerable. Now the evidence they are looking for is one that confirms an eternal multiverse of whcich our universe sis a part. Google 'multiverse theory'

This question of origin is the mystery of the ages. A true scientist is not ashamed to say "I don't know" to what he doesn't know. While a religious person will readily give his answers to what he doesn't really know.

To answer your question. I don't know. Maybe further scientific discoveries will shed more light on the true origins of this. Maybe we'll never know.

It's possible that the information was initially written by a more complex creative mind and it's copied generation to generation to be what it is today. The creative mind just happen to always be or it was designed by a greater creative mind. Or the information has always been, just like we assume the creative mind has always been. Nobody really knows.

Those punch cards, diodes, CDs and other chemicals you refer to are merely the containers of the informations (software), they are not the (informations) softwares. Just like books are nothing more than containers of the informations therein.

No, you're wrong. Softwares are NOT materials that can be stored in the hard drives. They are a set of informations, instructions given to the computer processor and algorithms that do define certain activities and outcomes. They are immaterial and intangible.
