... updated fifa ranking loading... Morocco should be moved up with immediate effect above Belgium cos that current ranking na scam... |
Agbegbaorogboye:... yes, morocco need working on 'excessive backpass'.. and that have been their weakness so far as they prefer building up play from their own 18 and if you doubt me on this, you can watch their match against Spain and also Portugal so you see for yourself what I'm talking about.. .. Yes, France midfield isn't in shape at the moment, but morocco always sit deep and go for counter attack for tactical reasons and if you notice France game, they do have a more attacking pressure unlike Portugal, so let's see how it plays out. But I see morocco going through cos in most cases, France do struggle playing with francophone African countries.. |
Agbegbaorogboye:... lol ..ok, I agree with you on this.. now let's look forward to morocco's prep against France. The Moroccans have been doing excessive backpass to their keeper most times which causes threats to them on their own goal post and that has to stop when encountering a high pressing France team aside that, Morocco needs to work on a one on one finishing, that Moroccan striker just wasted that ball and who knows, they might have paid dearly for it, had it been Portugal scored at last minute of the game... |
Agbegbaorogboye:... sorry, who said I'm complaining.. lol It's just that the Portuguese underrated the Moroccans which was clearly apparent the way they played from the onset and they paid dearly for it. They think playing morocco is like playing Switzerland, Uruguay... funny enough, they even have to blame the ref again even after playing with a red carded team during the extra period of the game. I'm very happy morocco won even though I like cr7... And as for cr7 hmm well, its high time he just call it quit and focus on club football... the guy Don try abeg |
Agbegbaorogboye:He was a threat to the Moroccan defence, he even made the Moroccans lose focus on the right flank as Leo was taking good advantage of that flank, kudos to the Moroccan coach cos he had to remove ziyech.. |
... France still struggles when it comes to playing African countries, I really don't see them stopping morocco... especially when they meet francophone african countries... |
adebwalex:You know football jaree, infact the truth is that Portuguese coach Santos was being carried away by their previous match against Ghana, Uruguay even Nigeria sef cos Korea gave them warning signs but you see that Switzerland match, just because they won by 6 goals to 1 without a goal from cr7, then all of a sudden the coach turn to Man utd coach 'ETH' by benching cr7 in a crucial match.... them think say na 2nd Switzerland dem wan play with again for Q/final or sorry '9ja' based on the friendly match and na Africa again.... You see, Portugals real world cup game is their match against morocco and if France like, let them underrate morocco.... |
... its good the coach isn't starting cr7... cos it seems ppl like pointing fingers at him.. now no cr7, the question is where are the Portuguese mass goals now... hmm maybe 2nd half |
.. likely to be in the Semifinals = Brazil 99.9% C of Q over Croatia, Netherlands 85.5% C of Q over Argentina, Morocco 60% C of Q over Portugal, France 98.5% C of Q over England.... |
flemsy15:... and it will definitely be called farmers cup..lol |
...kudos to Morocco, but you see, the major problem in African football in most international scene is 'having the underdog mindset of victory over celebration' this affected the super eagles in France 98 wc, it also affected the Saudi Arabian team as well cos after winning Argentina, they relaxed a bit and its clearly apparent the way they (saudi) took their other two remaining matches.... We all know Morocco won yesterday, thanks to penalty shootout but truth be told, the Spanish team would have won the match due to Morocco's excessive 'back pass' errors and last minute attempt just slightly hitting the goal post... If morocco takes the Portuguese side, the way they played Spain, then I'm sorry they might just be sent packing.. |
...yes, morocco is Africa's best representative in the on-going FIFA wc ... |
...yes, I said it from my previous post, morocco might just be the first african country to reach the semifinals of the fifa wc... |
Morocco 2 v 1 Spain ... Maroc might just be the first african side to reach the semifinals? If morocco can defeat Spain today... hmm who knows ..from my own perspective, I really don't see Portugal/Switzerland a threat to Morocco (if maroc wins today) in the Q/finals..... |
Let's start from the 1986 FIFA world cup hosted by Mexico, picking the African country that have really made good outing in a fifa world cup edition from 1986 to present Mexico 1986 = Morocco (Africa's best) Italy 1990 = Cameroun (Africa's best) Usa 1994 = Nigeria (Africa's best) France 1998 = Nigeria (Africa's best) Korea Japan 2002 = Senegal (Africa's best) Germany 2006 = Ivory Coast ( Africa's best) South Africa 2010 = Ghana (Africa's best) Brazil 2014 = Nigeria (Africa's best) Russia 2018 = Senegal ( Africa's best) And now the current Qatar 2022, which of these African countries (Morocco, Cameroun, Tunisia, Ghana, Senegal) would you pick to stand out as Africa's best in the on-going FIFA world cup... |
juman:Spot on.. |
Charley2020:Its just a shame, Senegal being current African champions can't match up these bunch of overhyped English team |
Charley2020:...sorry cutting in... but you see that Ghana team, they are the same as Senegal without sadio mane, even that Uruguay team won't defeat Cameroun... I expected you to make mention of Cameroun giving England a tough, tight game. To be more factual, the peak of Ghana's football ends in 2010 world cup and that's the very best ever squad in Ghana's football history.... |
England 1 v 2 Senegal |
Starz825:Watch out for SK, you see those Korea and Japan... they have strong resilience coming back in a game and they can spring up more surprises... don't even think it's a fluke, even Brazil sef fit collect as they're not really the samba boys we all know them to be... |
The Senegalese team are fully ready to ignite the spirit of 2002 as they lock horns with England. The English team from my own perspective, really looked feeble in a high pressing game, thanks to the U.S of A exposing their weaknesses. What the Senegalese just needs coming into the game is sharp attacking mindset from the onset and not sitting deep for England to pounce on them by doing their normal possessive play just the way the U.S team outplayed the English team of which harry kane admitted after the usa's game that it was really a fast, intense and strong physical display from the USA's team... Mendy needs to be up and doing and avoid those unnecessary school boy errors, koulibaly the main (key) pivot to Senegal's win/lose today... |
oluwaseyi0:Yes, that should have been a goal and Gyan shouldn't be blamed cos penalty is 50- 50... the ball was clearly directed towards goal and suarez knew the implications of his actions... Note: I'm not blaming suarez but fifa rules here needs a review. Players would be discouraged from committing such and even if they default, goal stands... |
... If fifa were to be smart in their rules, such incidence should have been a goal or a penalty without a goalie... We all know that's clearly a goal and such rules would refrain players committing foul play and even if it happens, final decision should be a GOAL and not penalty... Penalty is 50-50 with a goalie and 99.9 chance of scoring without a goalie, why because they're some kind of players that would still miss from the spot without a goalie.....lol |
... fifa needs to review their rules.... any deliberate handball obstruction by an opposing player with a ball clearly directed towards the net is a GOAL and no penalty kick should be taken, or a penalty without a goal keeper, because even if VAR were to be deployed, that's clearly a ball directed towards goal. And by implication, players would be discouraged from committing such act and even if they default, the GOAL stands.. Maybe 2026 world cup rules.. lol |
...yea that's the Bilateral relationship... |
Netherlands 1 v 1 Qatar |
Jokerman:...messi abi? Lol |
Nadeol:...well, its not really a shocker on Belgium's waterloo to Morocco, just that they've ( the Moroccans) been lacking clinical finishing in the final third. If you watched their match against Portugal at Russia 18' World Cup, you got to see that they really dealt with the Portuguese side only for ronaldo to score a header that actually the difference. Morocco just need to find a perfect solution on their no.9 as y.en nesyri lacks good finishing touches... |

Who know Ramos, if Ronaldo had play that game from start, he will have still score and win the game. Why will the coach keep benching him at the workd cup?? Was messi Bench in Argentina. Keep your hatred for him under your bed and accept the fact that he his a threat to opponent...
