Please who has used Global Credential Evaluators, Inc to evaluate his/her transcript. If any, how long he take them to evaluate transcript. Looking forward to seeing a reply Use ECE, 12-14days Max n it's kinda cheap |

Shakitibob0: How many month does it take ECE to complete an evaluation? Mine took 12 days and they don't get back to your school for confirmation like WES does, which really takes time.the only disadvantage is that it reduces CGPA when compared to WES |

Shakitibob0: Is ECE a recognized conversion company too? Yes it is. But email your school to confirm if it's accepted |

Don't mind them jare, we have talked about this XXXYYZZ and Bla..bla..bla thing and some of them are still doing it which is so annoying. i mean no body force them to share their transcript, we are all one big family trying to help each other and yet some individuals will come here sharing Bla..bla..bla and XXXYYZZ with the aim of giving back to the thread and i keep asking how can new comers/prospective student benefit from that? in my opinion it doesn't "make any sense" because you got all the details you need from this thread in achieving your dream goal and when is time to give back to the thread they start Speaking in tongues. Anyway, i rest my case and my Slogan still remains what is what doing is what doing WELL..
Shalom! I guess they want to be the only Nigerian in their school. Or dey don't want others to benefit from what ever grants or scholarships given. Greed instinct! |

baronjay: I want to make a big shout out to God and also to everyone on this thread who has in one way or the other contributed to the success of people on this forum....my visa was granted this morning May 22nd on my first trial. Here is a brief stats about my educational background. GRE 312, TOEFL 99, CGPA 3.52/5 (was never a serious student only read to pass exams nothing else, became serious minded during my NYSC after i was mentored by a man i aspired to be like. Graduated in 2012 joined one of the biggest oil and gas servicing/construction company in the world in 2016). I got a fully funded phd program in chemical engineering without any assistance despite been discouraged by friends about my low cgpa and no little research background.
VO: So why XXXXXXXX State University?
ME: Because of my interest in working with Prof. Hongmei on her research project
VO: Whats the title of her research?
Me: Modelling and simulation of multiphase fluid flow in porous media using computational fluid dynamics
VO: How many schools did you apply to?
Me: 7 ( I really did apply to all 7 schools, one acceptance, 4 denials, 2 waitlist)
VO: What is your dissertation topic?
Me: I don't know yet but i will be working with prof. Hongmei on her research.
VO: Why did you choose XXXXX State University?
Me: Because of my interest in prof. Hongmei's research and because it is related to my current job in Nigeria
VO: Where do you work?
ME:XXXXXXXX Nigeria Limited
VO: What do you do there?
ME: I work as a research and process development engineer
Then he nodded and said congratulations, I'm going to approve your visa for studying in the USA, Pick up your passport in this location after three business days, and I said thank you and ran out with a smile. It can only be GOD... I prayed just like I did on other days, I did not fast though, I gave alms, but mostly to broke and poor relatives (charity i believe begins at home), I fulfilled every promise i made to GOD.
P.S: Not a single document was requested. Congrats on ur visa.but y d XXXX state university. Y hiding it? U no want make others benefit? This place is meant to give info that can help others, its more than a testimony ground. |

fysapop: Visa Approved this morning.... Hi everyone, I want to thank those that continue to support the movement and purpose of this thread. My Visa interview was for 6:30am this morning, I was feeling uneasy all through the night, I woke up around 4am, left my house by 4:55am, I was driving like a snail I didnt even want any stories. I finally got to the embassy like 5:35am, I paid for parking, about 5 guys just rushed me and started telling to arrange my document staple this and that make copy of my passport page that the rules have changed, but as a product of this thread I didn't even answer them, I was the 4th person to be interviewed, it was barely up to 5 mins sef, see my transcript below;
VO; Good morning, how are you Me; Good morning Sir, I am fine VO; Pass me your passport and 1-20 Why are you going to the US Me; I am going to the University of Connecticut for Masters in Business Analytics as Big data is the new wave in Africa and I want to be one of the forerunners of understanding data mining and how Business can (I cant even remember what I said..lol) VO; oh Uconn, that’s great. Where do you work? Me; Senior Consultant atXXXX (International Company) VO; Oh that’s a great Company, hope you enjoyed your time working there? Me; Yes I have..its being a great time, we have won a couple of employers satisfaction awards in the last few years. VO; oh really, they would never win that in the US, they are really tough u know ( I just knew my visa was approved from this point) ME; yes when some of them come to Nigeria, they always want to stay back. VO; how are you going to pay for your studies? Me; I got a loan from Prodigy finance and my brother is also sponsoring me VO; ok… I see you are a genuine student and I would be approving your visa. He returned my 1-20 and the collection ish Me; Thank you Sir.
The three guys that went before me were still talking to the VO. I just started singing praises all the way to my car, people were just congratulating because it was soo obvious I just got my visa approved. Congrats |

Lol, u sabi English ,if you read well, u go see say no be admission or I-20 be the probelm ..na you sabi the mental laziness wey u dey talk.. I have better things to do than reply you after this. Na u sabi who go get visa and who dont deserve. Na u sabi honest and deceitful people. Goodluck Mr know all. TWoods: I find that quite bizarre... that your life's decisions are governed by anonymous posts on a chat forum. There are clear instructions on how and how not to apply for a visa... the US embassy in Lagos also runs a very good consultation service specifically for international students seeking to study in the US. You get access to study prep materials, you also get one-on-one consulting with US public affairs employees who tutor you on how to select amajor, schools, tuition options, the process to obtaining an I-20 and a visa. It costs $200 and you are free to drop in anytime you want. You also have access to their computing resources. Here is the website - https://educationusa.state.gov/centers/educationusa-lagos
Frankly saying you were "ignorant" of this process is an indication of how mentally lazy many in here are. For something that will cost you so much and maybe the defining point in your life, you would expect many would take the effort to research before committing their hard earned resources.
But of course... it's easier to insult others. Good luck to you. |

Thanks alot, the last app was Jan 2016( over a year). I don't know much about this visa thing, but I think now that I have job ,no travel history yet( working on that) n im applying as a student unlike the last which was visiting. B1/b2 is usually difficult for unmarried young men like myself (based on what I read n saw) unlike f1, it's more legit if one can convince the VO.. been there 3 times , saw the rate they give visiting visa to the young, the ratio to student is very low. Will work on all uve Said and give it a shot. You spoke about being banned, if one makes such enquiry from the embassy, can such info be given? LagosismyHome: Regarding the comment from the VO stating maybe you give it some time. The VO definitely knows way more than me and most people here. If i were u i would have taken his advice but if u choose not to...well u never know.. at the end it can go either way yes or no
So ok then.... loads of transcript here. Learn from the denied and approved and aim / hope for the best. |

Funny you're educated but you not making use of it. Check the meaning of mistake, abeg b4 u run your mouth. Did I tell u I didn't accept doing such in the past? I said it was done out of ignorance .I came here to seek suggestions and people are being honest about what they think, not accusing someone of being desperate. All visas are DIY, that I never knew til years back. I boldly indicated 'agent ' not self and I asked for help. All you came to say is that I'm being deceitful. Na you wan gove me visa? Lagosismyhome and few others have their candid suggestions and not what youre doing ..hospital is filled with sick people who need treatment, so is nairaland people who need help.hide your illness from Doc, you can't get treated, so is nairaland. If you keeep posting such to people, trust me you wl have people discouraged on here. You no be God o ooo, if you were, all sinners for go hell without 2nd chance of repentance.. TWoods: All visas are do it yourself. Forgetting to put a date of birth in a visa application is a mistake, indicating you were working, when you were clearly not - ostensibly to give yourself an edge in a visa application - is deliberate misrepresentation. Can we please stop this deceitful "it was a mistake" excuses? |

Thanks , I took TOEFL and I'm using nyfa's admission letter. The things is that most schools that offer film production course do it as MFA(masters of Fine Art) and its 3years which is around $75k.. NYFA offered what i really wanted. I checked the trend from part1, no film person here. most are sciences , social sciences , commercial and those engineering etc. But I learnt alot from people's transcripts, to be honest. I appreciate you. LagosismyHome: Forget about that story ooo.... what will work for X might not work for Y ... lots of people are never given second chances once there is a fraud or red flag
So you do what best for you. If you are serious them take test and apply to standard proper university. I saw the 3 list of schools u applied. Did u take any test ? ... the other 2 . Their wiki shows both are small private schools. I would advice you again, apply to a standard school. |

Don't be fast to judge , yiu dont know me. I wasn't desperate .I was younger and knew nothing about visa. I wanted to visit and come back to Nigeria. I never knrw anything about Do It Yourself then. People no dey make mistake? You talk like youre perfect cos you got yours? People gave better suggestions and youre here saying this... I said I leave it to God. As no be life n death matter. If na my way , God go do am...next time ehn, just pass by, don't type. TWoods: God has nothing to do with the consequences of desperate attempts to migrate from your country with deliberately false information. All due respect but posts like yours leave a bad taste in the mouth. |

Actually, the bolded you said went down at US embassy. He used fake Dubai visa (travel History) to aid his b1/b2 visa app but was caught on that. After 4 trials, he was given . He was banned.. mine is just work info like u said. And i dnt give any document. But my last 2apps have been consistent with my educational background and work. Bless up.... Happy sunday N.b pls reply my pm biikeys: @bolded, you try the same at an American embassy and you get banned for a very long time..While it's good to be optimistic, the US immigration system is not so forgiving when it comes to falsifying documents. If the employment information is the only thing wrong with your previous application, get you application together again if you've not already, and apply to good schools. Write GRE and TOEFL if you can, and be transparent wrt to previous applications at your visa interview. Good luck! |

OGreene: Am always wary of agents. So did this agent fill something you know is false? I'm sure you read through the application before it was submitted. Because if there is a contrasting info in your first and subsequent applications, then its not a good situation at all. Thanksnfor your response.. the 2012 app the agent did then wasn't cool, to be honest .cos he filled that I was working on a coy, which wasn't true. That's the only false info there. Just looking for a way to make things right . But the app of 2015 and 2016dec(more than a year now) was to attend my brother's wedding. I did applied after my mom was granted. I believe people make mistakes and there should be rooms for atonement. Pls, what can I really do? Cos I'm going to study for real. Just like a friend who was caught for fake Dubai visa 2013, he apppied every 6months but was later granted Dec 2015. His story made me know that anyone can be grant and past forgiven if he/she has good intension. I'm saying all this cos I need a way out, thayz why I came to the house ... Abeg, make una help..
