ladyAy: Hello house, This is my 1st post and i must say a big thank you to everyone that has been posting their experiences. Hmmm the thing is im traveling in a few weeks at 33+ weeks and its CHICAGO POE oh chai. Changing POE is out of it now cos the money emirates is asking for can buy new tickets sef. So im just trying my best to be prepared and of course praying hard . So my questions: 1.) Which one is package deal that has gotten some peeps turned back? I got my biill directly from the doctor i intend to use. His clinic is afffiliated to quite a number of hospitals so i get to choose a hospital before delivery. His total bill for normal delivery came to 7,500 and CS is 9,000. Bill also covers anaesthetist, peadiatrician, laboratory fees and administrative charges and their different charges are clearly stated on the bill. Is this considered a package bill? Please help abeg cos thats what we intend to present as our bill at the POE together with thee doctor's correspondence emails
2.) We have a receipt of $5k and its from the doctor's clinic. SO it basically just states we,ve paid 5k with 2,500 balance. The doctor is the one that will pay the hospital and other team members.Im asking cos i noticed some people mentioned they've paid hospital and doctor or some others only hospital charges when asked at their POE and they asked to see where the mail originated from at Chicago POE. My receipt originated from the doctor's email address oh.
Please help a sister abeg. Have a blessed week everyone. Lady Ay, I'm a silent learner and reader on this great platform. I'm Chicago bound come 1st week of October by the grace of Almighty God. vivianblog3: SPEECH BY HIS EXCELLENCY, MOHAMMADU BUHARI PRESIDENT, FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA ON THE OCCASION OF THE RECEPTION FOR NIGERIAN ATHLETES AND OFFICIALS WHO DID THE NATION PROUD AT INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS, BANQUET HALL, PRESIDENTIAL VILLA, ABUJA. JANUARY 21, 2016.
COURTESIES
It gladdens my heart to play host to our dear athletes and officials who have consistently done the nation proud at various international competitions.
Nigerian athletes, despite prevailing challenges, have always proven to the rest of the world that the Nigerian spirit is indomitable.
On behalf of all Nigerians, I wish to specially express my appreciation and indeed that of the nation to our athletes and officials for the consistency, determination, willpower and penchant for success being witnessed in the sports sector in recent times. I urge the managers of this sector to keep up the momentum.
I wish to assure you that the Federal Government of Nigeria would not relent in its efforts to ensure that our sportsmen and women continue to excel in international competitions. I am particularly concerned about our participation at the forthcoming Rio 2016 Olympic Games. We must not allow a repetition of the unsavoury experience at the London 2012 Olympics where Nigerian athletes failed to make it to the podium.
This Administration’s policy of “change” must reflect in the way we do things either as individuals or institutions. We must strive to be prudent in the way we manage our time, financial and material resources to ensure victory at the next Olympics. We must aim for optimal performance at all international competitions.
Your Excellencies, Great Nigerian Athletes, Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen, I wish to remark that today’s event is very special to me because, Almighty Allah has, in His infinite mercies and love, kept me alive to this day and granted me the privilege of being able to fulfill my promise in 1985, to reward the winners of the maiden edition of the FIFA U-17 World Championship.
The reason for the 30 years delay is well known. It is however sad to note that a member of the 1985 Golden Eaglets is not here with us today. Please join me in observing a one-minute silence in honour of Kingsley Aikhionbare who died in London, in 1996.
It is a well known fact that so much water has passed under the bridge between 1985 and now. The State governments that were to implement most of the pledges to the players and officials have changed hands so many times under different dispensations and political parties.
In line with our belief that the “labour of our heroes shall not be in vain” we will be saying thank you to our 1985 Golden Eaglets’ players and officials by using the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports template for rewarding outstanding athletes.
As you are all aware, the financial resources of our nation have been dwindling since last year. Hence what we are offering you today, is not payment or compensation for winning laurels for your country, rather, it is a token of appreciation for your efforts and patriotism while competing for your fatherland.
In this connection, I have the honour, on behalf of the Government and sports loving Nigerians to announce the following as token of our appreciation to our sports ambassadors:

Was it not the leaders of APC that funded his legal fess when he fought and defeated PDP/Olusegun Agagu to reclaim his mandate that was rigged by PDP? Did he fulfill his own side of the bargain? He has integrity issues and its most likely he will carry this along into PDP. thank u so much u spoke my mind. Is mimiko reliable No I pray that APC have a better candidate that can rubbish the Pdp people in ondo state, they are just fooling themselves in that state I pray they don't end up in the hand of thugs like the people of Ekiti . |

oliverscurd419: Watching Football with our wives can be very annoying, frustrating and stressful.
The example below is typical (I pity the guy no b small):
Wife: Dipo, who's that guy. Is that Chris Brown?
Husband: Chris bawo, no na. that's Theo Walcott!!!
Wife: Hey! Oh he looks like Chris ni....What's that yellow card for?
Husband: Its a warning to a player; and red means the player must stop playing and leave the pitch. Wife: Ohhh! It's something similar to a traffic light: Yellow - warning, Red - Stop.
Husband: Yeah yeah sure.. You are right.!!
Wife: What about the green card?
Husband: Ohhh! there's nothing like that in football.
Wife: Which teams are these?
Husband: Which kind wahala be this na!! God! It's Arsenal and Chelsea. What again!
Wife: Ok ok ok! What colour is Arsenal putting on?
Husband: No be red jersey be that?
Wife: Ok..which team is putting on blue?
Husband: (upset)...Omg, Haba, Wetin na. Don't you know its Chelsea?
Wife: Enhe? Wow! I want Arsenal to win the world cup.
Husband: (depressed, and nod his head in pity) ohk, me too.....
Wife: Take am easy na! Please who's that old man?
Husband: Hmmm... that's Arsenal's coach, Arsene Wenger
Wife:Oooh Ok..... I understand now. Sooo that means the other coach is Chelsea Wenger?
Husband: Wo, arabirin free me jare!! (Changes Super Sport Channel to African Magic). women watch ball now than men some men don't even have club not to talk of players. So that story of urs was back in the days |

adavize: you could do with better pixs OP. On his declaration , may the best person win. peaceful, free and fair is more important for most nigerians.
Excerpts from his declaration;
This situation reinforces the urgent need for change. We cannot continue down this path of national decline.
Resentment, disillusionment and hopelessness are the emotions on which insecurity and disharmony thrive. Our country is more divided today than at any other time since the civil war. There is a disturbing rise in ethnic nationalism and religious bigotry. This is promoting social tension and mutual distrust amongst the people of Nigeria. All over the country, there are daily breaches of security resulting in loss of lives and properties. Armed robbery, kidnappings and human trafficking continue to ravage many parts of the country. A bunch of extremist insurgents are hoisting strange flags on large areas of our territory that they claim to have conquered. Unspeakable horrors are now being committed daily against our people by anti-social elements in the name of religion and other causes.
Government has a responsibility to do everything possible to halt the on-going dehumanization of Nigerians. Unfortunately what we have is a serious governance deficit. To put it bluntly, our country seems to be on auto pilot with no one in charge.
We need a strong, dynamic, decisive, competent and visionary leadership that can halt the current drift of the ship of state, fight corruption, create jobs, rebuild our infrastructure, provide social services and tackle insecurity in a decisive, robust multi-pronged way. This is the change we want and deserve and this is the change the APC is primed to offer. And that is why I am a proud member of this platform for change.

Former Vice President and presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar, has bemoaned the high level of impunity currently going on in government circles, especially at the federal level, saying something urgent must be done to address the anomaly. Speaking in a chat with newsmen in Lagos, Abubakar particularly took a swipe at Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke, who, Abubakar said, has failed to honour several invitations by the National Assembly. He said he would have fired the minister if he were the President of the country. The former vice president also urged the media to maximise their influence as the fourth estate of the realm to check the excesses and impunity in government circles. “In my life in this country, I have never seen the level of impunity go as high as we have today. Like I said last night, if I were a president and the National Assembly summons a minister for investigation, that minister will feel reluctant to honour the invitation, I will fire the minister because constitutionally, the National Assembly has the responsibility of checks and balances. “In my view, in the United States, imagine Congress calling one Secretary of a Department to come, if he fails to come, they will not even appropriate money for your department and there is nothing the President can do. “That is not what we see in this country. And I believe that working together with the media, both of us can check that impunity,” he said.

Is like all men now want a working, independent woman. so the woman wouldn't depend on them. forgetting that every woman love to depend on his man even if she have the whole money in the world. if a woman cant depend on you, of what use are you to her? 3. a lot of men can actually lie, pretend to love a rich lady just for the sake of her money or fame. that's why you keep seeing advert: ' i want a sugar mummy who can pay' it's disappointing. 4. most men don't even care nor appreciate how the woman manage her time to take care of the children, and still rush home from work to prepare food for the family. rather they keep going around forming Baddest Boy Ever liveth. chasing other ladies and don't even consider how the woman feels. Mr. man, are you not suppose to protect that woman instead of giving her pains and making her cry? Men, please what's up with you? if you continue this way, our little boys wouldn't learn how to be real men. please arise and be the real man you were created to be. women are helpmate when the man can fund the home that was the reason for the creation but that number 4 men need to change |
