Politics / Re: Nigeria Partners Russia To build A Nuclear Power Station! by ghananotnaija(m): 4:48pm On Sep 08, 2013
If it is built, build it in the East of Nigeria, as far away from Ghana as possible, because it's guaranteed to have a major malfunction. With all the ignorance and corruption in Nigeria, I would be surprised if the Nigerian plant workers don't try to steal safety infrastructure or even uranium fuel rods, it's a train wreck just waiting to happen.

How do you kill a lot of Nigerians? Build them a nuclear power plant and staff it with typical corrupt Nigerians.

Politics / Re: Kenya To Give Visas To Genuine Nigerian Businessmen by ghananotnaija(m): 4:45pm On Sep 08, 2013
There goes Kenya. Once a country is infested with Nigerian "businessmen", it's hard to get rid of them. Look at what Nigerians are doing in South Africa, drugs, prostitutions, theft, gangs, etc. I pray that other African nations, especially Ghana will not follow Kenya's example.

Beware: Nigerians lie, deceive, cheat, and scam as their second nature. Their word generally means nothing to them.

I just wonder how did Dangote manage to win over the fuel importation cartel? Knowing Nigerians, I suspect he is just using this as a ploy to loot Nigeria even further.

If Nigeria really wants to stop import petro, then they should turnover the oil operations to Ghanaian firms.

Politics / Re: Molue Banned From Lagos Island by ghananotnaija(m): 9:04pm On Sep 05, 2013
I think this is a brilliant move by the Lagos state government to limit the number of undesirable people in the better parts of Lagos, mainly the islands. As a resident of Accra for many years, living in Lagos at first was a rude shock to my civilised sensibilities, and only Victoria Island, Ikoyi, and Lagos CBD were tolerable.

The traffic jam in Accra is just as bad if not worse than that of Lagos, but you don't see Ghanaians drive like Nigerians, who take the road with no regard for human life. Nigerians also take that approach to other aspects of life. SMH. I need to get out of this Nigeria and go back to Ghana my home. Please God, get me out of here ASAP.

It's time for Nigeria to be humbled by little Malawi. Nigeria has nothing to gain and everything to lose.

Nigerians are an embarrassment not only to themselves but to all Africans. These people must be kept within their own borders before they ruin the rest of Africa just like they ruined their own country.

THE AMAKA:

You seriously need to STFU. Is that your wish? That Nigerians should bow before Ghanaians so you can feel good about yourselves? No wonder you're on NL. Get over yourself, ok? The OP posted many pictures of other capitals that weren't so accurate, not Accra alone. And there is nothing negative about the photo he o posted, its just outdated. Why act as if the OP deliberately set out to belittle Ghana? Are you paranoid? If the OP had put a picture of Oshodi to represent Lagos, would you have complained? I believe he got most of the pictures from the first page on google.

The truth is most "cities" in West Africa are nothing to write home about besides a few. This includes Ghana AND Nigeria. They are improving, yes, but not quite there yet.

Instead of people here arguing on whose city is less "bush & ghetto" you should be talking about how to improve them. Africans are their own worst enemies.

If anyone wants a detailed, non-biased look at any African city, then go to skyscrapercity. Enough BS please.

Even by African standards, Nigeria is an incredibly savage and backwards country. Not just physically, but mostly in the thoughts and deeds of its people. Yes, Africa is unfortunately behind much of the world in development, but Nigeria is on another level altogether. Nigeria is literally dragging the rest of the continent down.

Typical Nigerian bias against Ghana by the OP posting such an obscure view of Accra. Why do Nigerians have so much against us Ghanaians? They know, deep down, that they are inferior to us and there's nothing they could do about it.

Honestly, I'd rather have AIDS than be Somalian. Your people are ugly as Bleep, reflecting how your ancestors were raped by Arabs and Indians and then mated with various animals in the bush.

Also, Somalia is the biggest shithole on the continent. Yes, even worse than Nigeria.

Segeggs: Naija gals are just somehow! You invite a gal for a date at a spot only to realise that she came with a friend. The worst part is that at the back of their mind they'll be like - "make we go chop him money".

you can drop your own experience here too.

Things like this are why I wouldn't touch Naija girls with a 10 ft pole.

White girls for life! Even Arab, smelly Indian slanty-eyed chinko girls are more preferable to African girls.

Maybe the Lagos state has finally realised that the key to a modern, orderly, and prosperous city is that you can't have too many Nigerians living in it! You can take Nigerians out of the bush, but you can't take the bush out of Nigerians. As it stands today, Lagos is a sprawling slum of bush-dwellers, not a functioning city by any stretch of the imagination.

It should be law that no more than 20% of Lagos be Nigerians. There should be strict immigration and population control. For Lagos to become a premier African city, it must welcome the best and brightest from neighbouring West African countries and around the world, especially Ghana. If Lagos can establish itself as the go-to city for the promising, educated, and entrepreneurial Ghanaians, then its future as a great city is all but certain.

Idun'oba ehis:

Talking about cities, Nigeria can boast of some of the best cities in Africa. Lagos and Ibadan in the West, Abuja, Kaduna and Kano in the North, Enugu and Owerri in the East, Porthacourt, Calabar, Uyo, Benin and Asaba in South South. All these cities are world class cities. Almost all the states in Nigeria have upto five cities excluding the states capitals. But if what you mean by jungle dwellers are the people living in Lagos, then I will have to conclude that you are definitely blind. How many cities can ghana boast of? Ghana is a "wanna-be" country. Always copying others. Or maybe you only went to the ghetto part of Lagos.

Those cities you've talked about are just sprawling slums and a few modern-looking office building in the center, with some mansions here and there for the wealthy. Not functioning cities.

Ghana is aspiring to improve, to be the likes of America and European countries, certainly not to be a tribal, superstitious bush-dwelling, tasteless, and extremely mediocre society that is Nigeria.

OH brada, why are you talking like this?

Don't take it personally, stranger. I'm sure individually you're all right as a person. But I'm very proud of my Ghanaian identity, and it offends me to associate that identity with Nigerians, who have such a terrible reputation in Africa and around the world.

That sent shivers down my spine. Ghanaian and Nigerians are NOT related. I thank God everyday that I'm not a Nigerian.

Ghana is the first nation-state of West Africa. Nigerians have always been bush-dwellers (yes, even today, I know, because I live in Lagos, a jungle without trees but full of jungle-dwellers).

There is no comparison between our two peoples, thank God.

Hahaha you guys keep peeping into Nairaland to get negative news and you think you know anything about our great country. For your information Nigeria will not divide in the lifetime of any of us reading this post right now. You can keep waiting though, hold your breath while doing that....

Why don't you hold your breath until NEPA provide nonstop power?

Come to think of it, it's probably why Nigerians are popping out babies like vermins: when there is no electricity, there's nothing to do, and so you people just get down to fncking.

collynzo2: I hope you go on hunger strike or hold your breath while waiting for Nigeria to divide...............Problem solved!

I can already start eating because the division of Nigeria is underway. Haha. Look at that fiasco in Rivers state. Can a Yoruba or Northern Muslim really fit in in Igbo areas? Or can anyone other than Kanuris live in Borno? You must be blind if you think Nigeria hasn't started to divide! It won't be long until the division is official.

Just look at Sudan, the de-facto divide started about 10 years before the official declaration of independence by South Sudan.

vivalavida: Mehn this ghana kids are so fixated on Nigeria. How come this niggies knw so many places and names of folks and yet they havent even visited. one even called elrufai. I doubt if any Nigerian knows any minister in ghana. We dont have that kinda time. You guys should be lucky times have changed. Had it been twas in those days when kingdoms go to war and annex the smaller kingdoms around them, naija would have consumed togo, ghana and cameroun. It aint late yet. We can still do to you folks what china is doing to taiwan

You can't even control Bornu State, so don't even think about exerting influence beyond your borders. The breakup of Nigeria is just a matter of time. All it takes is one incident.

Once you kick open the door, the whole rotten structure comes collapsing down.

The oil-producing needs to realise that if given independence they could be rich like Kuwait, Dubai, and Qatar, leaving the rest of Nigeria living in the bush.

The abundance of natural resources is wasted on the Nigerians and their bush-dwelling mindset and capacity. Maybe God had meant to give those resources for the noble Ashanti people of Ghana, but made a mistake. What a waste!

But one day, Ghanaians will get what is our birthright: political, economic, and cultural dominance in this part of the world, and a place among the leading nations of the world.
