Popular Nigerian big boy Hushpuppi in a recent Instagram post has complained about the ill treatment many Nigerians face at the hands of SARS.

Sharing a viral video of men dressed in a police uniform harassing some people in the public, the Gucci master blasts the police force saying they have become a terrorist group.

Hushpuppi continuing in his post also narrated how Nigerians are no longer safe because by the same security agents established to protect the citizens are becoming their nightmare.

He wrote;

“I know I have a massive international audience and I want to inform the world that Nigerians are not safe in their countries any longer, please people who have the power should please probe the Nigerian government and Nigeria police force about how they Police/Sars has turned into a terrorist group.

Yemi Alade had an interview on a talk show on HOT FM (98.3) few days ago where she made a comment about operating on the same level as Davido and Wizkid.

She had said:

“I respect everybody, we all inspire each other in this industry… there is actually no number one because your top five artistes in Nigeria that are the biggest in Africa can shut down the exact same capacity. “The same capacity Wizkid holds down in Africa, I hold it down, the same capacity Davido holds down in Africa, I hold it down, the same venues, we all shut it down. “So there is no number one, and that is the truth but not everybody will agree to that, people will say Yemi shut up but that is the truth. Why don’t we go ask the promoters, the people who know the numbers?”

During the interview, the talk show host, Misi also slammed Tiwa Savage. She claimed that the singer and mother of one only shouts during her performances.

She made the statement as she praised Yemi Alade whom she said is vocally better than Tiwa Savage.

Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, popularly known as Do2dtun, OAP on Cool FM, has reacted to this controversial interview.

In a series of tweets, OAP Dotun stated that his colleague in broadcasting lacks the ethics of the job for making such an opinion public and on radio.

He went on to chastise radio employers for only looking for people with phonetics without considering whether they have broadcasting ethics.

As for Yemi, the real reason why women in Nigeria can not boast of the huge numbers in music is cos you don’t support each other. So, all these advocacy of “support our ladies” is a hoax cos you ladies are actually the problem. The guys already love you, so what is the problem?

The need to be controversial when u don’t have the rudiments & when u don’t have the facts to back a claim is the new style of broadcasting nowadays. “I must trend” syndrome & it is so funny. Ask the right questions, let the artiste shoot themselves. Just ask the right questions

Enjoy Radio for what it is worth. @TaymiB & I are overly the most controversial on radio but there is a RULE. The rule is say what u know, what is fact, what is objective, what is ethical. As an OAP, u shouldn’t have absolute POWER. It is a microphone meant for the people not YOU.

A Female Soldier identified as Patricia Ajie subjected a driver and his conductor to an extreme inhumane treatment.

She meted such treatment to them because they used their bus to scratch her car’s side mirror under Dopemu Bridge in Lagos.

According to reports, Ajie, after making them pay for damages, went ahead to instruct them to clean her boot before ordering them to lie down inside a muddy water and forced them to drink it.

The officer was also accused of harassing those who tried recording the incident.

Tiwa Savage is set to headline her own concert at the 02 Arena in Indigo, London. Her tour is titled ‘The Savage Tour’, and it’s going to be a one-woman show.

It is scheduled to hold on August 24.

“Time is almost here, London I promise you carnival weekend is going to be bananas,” Savage said.

Adekunle Gold, alternative Afropop singer, recently held a sold-out solo concert at the Indigo O2 in London.

The Indigo at the O2 venue holds 2,800 people for music gigs.

In May, Wizkid headlined the sold-out Afrorepublik concert at her sister venue, the O2 Arena, which packs a staggering 20,00 people.

After Wikid’s feat, Davido is now set to pack the same venue to the brim in January 2019.

A 4-year-old girl, Elo Ogidi, was, last Sunday, kidnapped during children thanksgiving service at the headquarters of the Christ Embassy in Oregun, Lagos

In a chat with Punchng, the Personal Assistant to Elo’s father, Solo Cosmos, disclosed that efforts to find her had been abortive, adding that the police had yet to have a clue on the whereabouts of the pupil.

He said, “The family were all there at that thanksgiving service and Elo was with the maid, who took care of the three kids of the family. Cake was shared for the children during the thanksgiving service and the maid went to get the kids’ slices.

But when she returned, she discovered that Elo was not on her seat again. We got information from a child that he saw Elo outside the tent where they had the children thanksgiving service.

The kid said after Elo came out of the tent, a woman grabbed her hand and took her away. We immediately organise a search party but she was not found.”

Cosmos told Punchng that the family had been in distress as a result of the incident, urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact the police.

The Officer-in-Charge of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Bulus Musa, confirmed the incident, adding that it was a case of kidnapping.

A World Cup of riveting drama continues with reports that the Croatian assistant coach has been sacked for posting a politically-charged video to social media following the penalty shootout win over hosts Russia.

Vukojevic, a former Croatia international, published a video in which he and defender Domagoj Vida dedicated the dramatic win to Ukraine, prompting criticism from Russian supporters.

The clip showed Vida, who scored in extra time at the Fisht Stadium, roaring “Glory to Ukraine!” while Vukojevic announced that “This victory is for Dynamo [Kiev] and Ukraine.”

“The Croatian Football Federation hereby notifies the public that Ognjen Vukojevic has been relieved of his duties as an associate of the coaching staff of the Croatian national team by decision of the management of the Croatian FA, and that he will no longer be a member of the Croatian delegation at the Fifa World Cup in Russia,” a statement read.

“The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) has decided to revoke Vukojevic’s team accreditation at the Fifa World Cup and to relieve him of his duties as an observer for the Croatian national team.

“HNS hereby apologizes to the Russian public for the actions of a member of the Croatian delegation. Ognjen Vukojevic and Domagoj Vida likewise apologize for their statements, which were in no way intended to have political connotations, yet which unfortunately left room for such interpretations.”

Fifa issued a formal warning to Vukojevic regarding his behaviour and the former midfielder reacted to his dismissal by telling Russian newspaper Sport Express: “There’s no politics in football. It’s a joke for my friends from Dynamo Kiev. I love Russians and I love Ukrainians.”

Croatia take on England in the second semifinal of the World Cup Wednesday, where the winner will go up against either France or Belgium for Sunday’s showpiece final.
