The insecurity bedeviling Nigeria is indicative of the poor security structure of the country. The killer herdsmen somehow have access to sophisticated weapons and the security apparatus of the country is silent about their menace. There is nothing particularly special about Rivers state so based on the current trend, if their menace gets to Rivers state there's nothing your boasting or grandstanding will do to help you.

The menace of the herdsmen can be tackled by a collective effort to advocate and build a community led state police system where the community members collaborate with state authorities to improve their security. Associating and dissociating with any ethnic group will not solve anything.

If you are an ikwerre man, then be an ikwerre man. You people should stop casting aspersions at the Igbo people, you mustn't mention the Igbos to gain relevance. The Igbos want as much distance from you as you claim to want from them.
