Religion / Royal Family Split – Tb Joshua by gordona4real: 10:14am On Jan 09, 2020
Days after Nigerian prophet, TB Joshua, released a number of ‘prophecies’ for the year 2020 during a Sunday Service at his church, they apparently appear to be coming to pass perhaps sooner than expected.

The eleventh prophecy on the cleric’s list stated, “Pray for unity and understanding among the Royal Family – because of what I am seeing.”

Just three days later, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced on their official Instagram that they would be “Stepping back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family.” The Instagram post from Harry, the second born son of Prince Charles and his wife Megan reads,

“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages. This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity. We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties. Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support.” - The Duke and Duchess of Sussex

One could say that the ‘prayers for unity’ TB Joshua called for are much needed as Palace sources have it that the Queen 'is disappointed' at Harry and Meghan's decision to quit. A statement from Queen Elizabeth's office at Buckingham Palace was released saying, "Discussions with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are at an early stage. We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through."

BBC's Royal Correspondent Jonny Dymond gave further insight into the breakdown of the Royal Family unit when he revealed in a Twitter post: 'BBC Understands that no other member of the Royal Family was consulted before Harry and Meghan issued their personal statement tonight, the Palace is understood to be "disappointed".'

Reactions are already running wild as to the cause of this breaking news of disunity within the Royal Family. English broadcaster, Piers Morgan, gave a brutal response to the news, 'People say I'm too critical of Meghan Markle - but she ditched her family, ditched her Dad, ditched most of her old friends, split Harry from William and has now split him from the Royal Family. I rest my case.' He wrote on his official Twitter page.

One of The Mirror’s editors, Derek Momodu, had a contrary opinion, “Make no mistake: even after this, haters will still find a way to blame Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex for their decision to step back. Prince Harry deserves to be happy with his family (like everyone else)..wherever they choose to live. Live and let live!”

The United Kingdom further featured in TB Joshua ‘prophecies’ as he said, “United Kingdom – there will be agitation from a section that wants to leave; that will become an issue.”

“Also, pray for the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh against going in and out of the hospital; pray for God to give them revival.” He said.

In regards to Brexit the Nigerian ‘prophet’ proclaimed, “Brexit needs more time to stand on its feet - with more co-operation of the EU leaders. If not, there will be economic repercussions and the cost of things will become unbearable. With time and preparation, all will be well.”

The full list of ‘prophecies for 2020’ can be found on TB Joshua’s Facebook Page which has over 3.5 million followers.

Religion / TB Joshua’s Prayer For Peace Yields Fruit In South Sudan by gordona4real: 11:56am On Dec 25, 2019
TB Joshua’s Prayer For Peace Yields Fruit In South Sudan As Kiir, Machar Agree To Continued Peace Talks After New Year

In the aftermath of TB Joshua’s historic peace mission to South Sudan on 12th November 2019, the nation’s two rival leaders have taken significant steps in the path to restore peace to the troubled nation.

“Time has come for us to put our differences behind us,” Joshua told President Salva Kiir Mayardit in a public address at the Presidential Palace, attended by government dignitaries, military personnel and thousands of South Sudanese citizens.

“This is the voice of God. Our leaders should overcome their division and agree to work together for the good of the country,” he insisted, adding that “peace has no price” and leading the nation in a heartfelt prayer for peace.

The latest development in the ongoing peace negotiations have brought renewed hope that sustainable peace is close on the horizon for the world’s youngest nation.

Last week, South Sudan's President Salva Kiir and rebel leader Riek Machar agreed to form a transitional unity government by a February deadline even if they don't resolve key political disputes by that time.

On Monday, the duo additionally agreed to renew face-to-face talks on all outstanding issues after the culmination of the Christmas and New Year holidays. “Dr. Machar is expected to travel to Khartoum on Tuesday, but he will come back to Juba after the holiday season,” Tut Gatluak, Presidential Advisor on Security Affairs, told reporters.

According to the presidential adviser, the two principles reaffirmed their commitment to ensure that lasting peace is achieved in South Sudan.

“President Salva Kiir Mayardit and Dr. Riek have wished the people of South Sudan a happy holiday. We want to assure the public that next year will be a year of peace and tranquillity,” he said, echoing Joshua’s declaration that 2020 would indeed be a New Year for the nation.

You misquoted Prophet T.B. Joshua. He said, “It is better to live POORLY upon the fruit of God’s goodness than to live plentifully upon the product of our own sin.” You wrote “purely” instead of “poorly”, which is wrong. Please correct this mistake.

Tb Joshua Shares Sombre Message on 5th anniversary Of Scoan Building Collapse

By Ihechukwu Njoku

Exactly five years after the tragic collapse of a guesthouse at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Pastor T.B. Joshua has honoured the ‘blessed memory’ of those who died in the incident with a thought-provoking message.

On September 12th2014, 115 people lost their lives in the horrific building collapse, 84 of them South African nationals visiting The SCOAN for religious reasons.

“A Christian does not consider death to be his end but the end of his trouble,”the cleric eulogised in a special broadcast on Emmanuel TV in commemoration of the anniversary.

Joshua stressed the inevitability of death, adding that a person’s age or the nature of their demise were not the critical issue. “What matters is the grace to continue living hereafter,”he said.

Waxing philosophical, Joshua asked viewers to be introspective as they remember the dark day.

“How are you spending your life,” he reflectively asked. “Because the greatest way to use life is to spend it on something that will outlive it – for instance, to love someone more dearly every day.”

Joshua called on his followers to proactively engage in helping others, stressing that “when you look around you”, you would assuredly find those “in need of your love, help, strength and time.”

He concluded with a sober reminder: “Live each day as if it were your last. Someday, you will be right.”

Despite the passing of five years, the controversy surrounding the cause of the deadly collapse remains, further induced by the attendant court case stuck in a seemingly endless legal quagmire.

The SCOAN still insists the church was ‘attacked’, pointing to a military plane which encircled the ill-fated building several times before its implosion.

The incident, however, has done little to quell the flow of foreign pilgrims to Joshua’s church with numbers from the Nigerian immigration service estimating six in every ten tourists to Nigeria are bound for The SCOAN.

Wow, Ryan Cummings wished Nigeria a Happy Independence day and said we should prosper like TB Joshua grin. See how notable people around the world respect us because of everything TB Joshua is doing. I recently saw him receiving an award in Israel from the mayor of Bethlehem and now again in Peru he was just awarded the Key to The City by their mayor. If there is any reason to be happy to be Nigerian today, it's TB Joshua. Long live Naija!

Religion / THE SCOAN PHENOMENON: Separating The Wheat From The Chaff by gordona4real: 1:12am On Sep 29, 2016
THE SCOAN PHENOMENON: Separating the wheat from the chaff

GOD’S COVENANT SNR

He was the only one that believed himself in the beginning. He didn’t seek a foreign partner; neither did he take a loan from any institution. Even if he had wanted a loan, no bank would have considered him because he was not known and the collateral that he had was his spiritual goal that nobody believed would manifest. He apparently just came from nowhere and proved everyone wrong.

Temitope Balogun Joshua, born in June of 1963, 40 long years before the day (June 12) became a volatile, controversial milestone in the political history of Africa’s most populous nation.

His birth place called Arigidi-Akoko in Ondo State, describes a “very rigid” people (Arigidi) or a stubborn/radical tribe folks (Agidi). Their praise name, Elese’Omi or Elese’Odo means (a people whose legs have affinity with the sea). The natives have a way with traditional music and dance.

The oldest dwellers in Egbe town, mostly Awori aborigines recall, with clarity, when this young man started.
“The way he started was shrouded in mystery; he was living in a swampy ground, a place thought to be dangerous because of reptiles,“ recalled Septuagenarian, Chief Taofeek Adetola Adigun.

“Also, the method of his healings was new and magical to us native people. Although my children showed me one white man (Benny Hinn) on television and another Nigerian pastor (Oyakhilome) doing similar healing on television, but his own was different because he was right in our neighborhood. We were particularly curious because he had an interpreter, one prophet Taiye who was his assistant,“ the old man said.

THE BUILD UP

He foresaw where he was going to and was not silent about it. In 1994, he talked about people of all nationals finding succor in the Synagogue. Whites and black and Asians will troop to the Synagogue for refuge, he had said.
Lagosians will also remember that the live divine healings that used to take place at what was called Synagogue Way (the roadway from the bus stop going inside the church compound) was one of its kind.

“Some of the patients were bad cases withdrawn from big hospitals, and they include the blind, the maimed, and physically challenged as well as the visually and hearing impaired,
even mentally deterred,” one of the early disciples who spike in camera recalled.

Residents of Ikotun-Egbe environment will never forget how the Synagogue phenomenon affected the neighborhood like wildfire. “It was not only that, many small businesses prospered and provided succor to many families because of the Synagogue to many families because of the Synagogue Church people. Some residents even rent out their rooms for visitors to SCOAN to make quick money”

Bus conductors renamed the bus-stop ‘Kilo bubble?’, like “what’s bubbling?’ and the road between Egbe Ile-Iwe bus stop to Ikotun Roundabout became a traffic bottleneck, especially on Sundays after service.

TEST OF TIME

Counting on his fingertips the number of churches that blossomed in uncommon ways but failed to survive the test of time, an Elder of The Apostolic Church at nearby Ikotun Area who refused his name to be in print, talked about testing ministries sand prophets, using time as a divine too, recalled:
If you run with God’s vision and all go well from its beginning to the end, that vision is not of God. And by extension, the man posing as a man of God would be exposed as an impostor,” the Elder said and recalled:

Emmanuel Odumosu, alias ‘Jesus of Oyingbo’ was both rich and powerful but his notoriety proved that he was not a man of God. Today, his estate in Maryland has been broken up and sold to individuals. He took ill and died of sickness.

Bishop Oduyemi of Bethel Ministry was another phenomenon (he started the live Friday night vigil on television). The man died in his 50s and his wife who took over also died quickly; that wonderful church at Aja became a desolate and didn’t have a successor to continue it.

Lady Malaika of Mushin was a woman who said she was God who came to ‘enjoy’ life after the labour of creating the world. Her ministry was popular for ‘giving’ children to barren women- until a magazine called Prime People of those days uncovered the horrible things she was doing to bring about her fake miracles.”

SEPTEMBER 12 2014 TRAGEDY

How would the Elder explain the tragedy of the collapsed building on September 12, 2014 and subsequent persecution by the government of Lagos State?

“Those are the ‘Ways of God’ no man can understand,” the Elder began.

“If you can read between the lines, not one of the families of the martyrs of faith filed a complaint or sued the Church for damages or loss of their dear ones. Then if you look at the pattern the persecution started and the way government handled it, TBJ should prayer of Jesus when He was being crucified. “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

That would seem to exonerate Raji Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode who rose to persecute the Church, but Prophet Alabi Joshua, of CAC, Alagbado in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, who is also a Yoruba scholar, told this writer that the action of the governors reflects the history of the Yoruba people.

“The answer to that is twofold,” he began.

“It is in the character of the Yoruba people. Our history is full of great men of valor that were hunted and hacked down by people of their own nativity.

You may remember that it took former military head of state and later civilian president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, a Yoruba man, to pull down Kalakuta Repubic belonging to the famous Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

“No past government touched the Kutis because some of them had been loud, but not dangerous. If you will remember, their famous mother, Mrs. Funmilayo Ransom-Kuti, at her old age was thrown out through a window by soldiers sent there by Obasanjo; the woman broke her leg and ribs; she died later at the hospital.

“Then Fela’s immediate younger brother, Dr. Beko Ransom-Kuti was chased by soldiers even to the roof of the house and was thrown down also. It took a Yoruba man like Obasanjo to do that.

“On the other hand, it is also in the Character of God to put His elects to test through fiery storms and disasters.

“For example, God only needed to prove to Satan that Job was an honorable man who feared God and will not sin. It cost Job the death of all his children, the destruction of all his massive business empire and his health over long period. “Also, remember that all the Disciples of Christ the LORD were heavily persecuted; all but one of them were persecuted even on to death.

“I liked it when Scoan called victims of that building “Martyrs of Faith” because those are the Fingers of God in circumstances human beings cannot easily understand or accept.”

ORCHESTRATED PERSECUTION

It would be recalled that when the church submitted infrasonic weaponry as cause for the collapsed building, government ignored its defense. The police concluded it was an external attack; professional builders in the construction industry testified the cause came not from the foundation, the soil or the structure, but all fell on deaf ears because the hands of the judge ‘were tied’ by orders, as they say in the judiciary.

The Daily Times last year, drew attention to the threat of insurgency laying hands on such phenomenal weapons in a 4-page article. War veterans, people in the know in security and armory spoke and warned that government should look critically into the counterinsurgency strategy to abort the looming threat of advance weaponry that could overrun the nation at large and Lagos in particular, by searching diligently for proverbial black goat while it was still day.

The Lagos state government has made haste to beef up security; navy, air force and policemen as well as the vigilante groups, even native hunters “to curb the sudden invasion of militants who invaded many communities of Lagos through the creeks and water ways.

Observers say these may turn out to be child’s play building up to dooms day – if government don’t heed the warning of the Church and the concerned people in the society.

An elderly resident and retired soldier in the Ikotun area last year had warned in State Government to “start looking for the proverbial black goat while it was still daylight.”

Religion / Not Again? How TB JOSHUA Prophesied Deadly Indian Bridge Collapse! by gordona4real: 7:36pm On Mar 31, 2016

Amidst the ongoing rescue mission and steadily mounting death toll in the tragic bridge collapse that struck Kolkata in eastern India, a video has surfaced online claiming the event had - yet again - been ‘foretold’ by Nigerian ‘Prophet’ T.B. Joshua.

Another calamity, another prophecy. Just a day after he allegedly predicted the hijacking of an EgyptAir plane, Joshua’s media team have released another controversial YouTube clip with a purported 'prophecy'.

"Pray for this country, India," Joshua is seen telling congregants at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN).

"I am seeing a very huge bridge broken and when a bridge divides into two, what do you think will happen to everybody?" he added, describing the location of the bridge as 'close to the river'.

Joshua went on to say the incident would elicit 'Breaking News' headlines worldwide, calling on people to publicise his message online as a means of warning the Indian public prior to the impending calamity.

"I am seeing this happen; they should take care of Thursday, Wednesday," he added. "Please, pray for this nation... Innocent people going."

On Thursday 31st March 2016, a bridge under construction in Kolkata, a city built next to the Hooghly River, tragically collapsed, killing scores of people and injuring hundreds of others.

The accident took place in an area near Girish Park, one of Kolkata's most densely populated and busiest neighbourhoods.

Terrifying surveillance footage of the moment the bridge collapsed showed pedestrians desperately fleeing for their lives before a mass of solid concrete came crashing down.

Shocking images posted online showed bloodied bodies trapped under concrete slabs with hands and legs sticking out from twisted debris.

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted that he was "shocked and saddened" by the tragedy and the Indian army were quickly mobilised to support the rescue team.

The death toll has been placed at 22 but is still expected to significantly rise as the rescue mission proceeds into the night.

"We at Emmanuel TV send our condolences to the nation of India and all the family members and friends of those who died in this tragic incident, praying that God would strengthen and comfort them at this trying time," the clip of the Nigerian preacher concluded.

With such clips, Joshua's YouTube channel 'Emmanuel TV' continues its rapid rise, having gained more than 325,000 subscribers since its emergence several years ago.

Religion / TB Joshua Visits Home Of Tanzania’s President Magufuli, Heals His Son by gordona4real: 1:49am On Mar 29, 2016

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqP_XHggKO4
An exclusive video has been released to YouTube detailing the visit of Nigerian ‘Prophet’ T.B. Joshua to Tanzania and revealing further details of the pastor’s closeness to the East African nation’s new pace-setting President.

In the clips, Joshua is warmly welcomed at the airport by Tanzania’s President, Dr John Magufuli, who is a described as a ‘regular visitor to The SCOAN and an Emmanuel TV partner’.

Subsequently, the video shows Joshua being shown around Magufuli’s personal house and meeting his extended family, including his aged mother.

The new President’s eldest son testifies in the clips that he received ‘healing’ from a severe respiratory problem after prayers from Joshua in 2013, no longer needing the breathing device he once relied upon.

Other clips reveal the Nigerian cleric’s extensive meeting with Tanzanian opposition leader Edward Lowassa and key members of his party where he is seen offering prayers for them.

At the period of Joshua’s arrival in November 2015, the nation was tense after the election outcome was disputed by Lowassa.

However, peace and progress have been the watchwords of Magufuli’s first few months in office, his anti-corruption drive and impressive work ethic hailed worldwide.

The hash tag #WhatWouldMagufuliDo has trended on social media across Africa in the light of the new president’s whirlwind start and lead-by-example approach.

After 100 days in office, a national poll revealed that over 90% of Tanzanians approved of Magufuli’s presidency.

Comments on the YouTube video, uploaded by Emmanuel TV’s official channel, were replete with requests for the controversial cleric to visit their respective nations.

The clip comes days after another Emmanuel TV YouTube video purportedly showing the deliverance of a young man who ‘turned into a dog’ went viral.

Romance / Why I'll NEVER Marry A Beautiful Girl - Guy On FB by gordona4real: 9:00pm On Mar 28, 2016
Just came accross this FB post of a young guy who said he'll NEVER marry a beautiful lady after attending TB Joshua's church... Thoughts anyone

With what I saw at SCOAN yesterday in real my face, I think the Very beautiful Ladies are the ones with the most spiritual, emotional, demonic and divorce issues. Those who look good on the outside are the ones with the most problems. I am scared. I am really scared of marrying a Very Beautiful lady. I will start avoiding them from today. Please if you see me chatting with a very beautiful lady on my wall, call back my attention. I mean to disrespect to the Beautys. I am just Scared right now.

About the Prophet, I think Prophet Tb Joshua is not just a Prophet. He is a very Wise Man. A Teacher, a healer,a counselor, a helper. He can heal your emotions and make the anger vanish. I was there when he fixed about three broken homes with the God's wisdom. No marriage counselor can do that. Sometimes we need to stop believing every gossip and things we hear about people. We should focus more on the Good parts of people.

Lemme ask you,How many of your so called men of God have helped The Philippines, the Haitians, the Sierra Leonas and other countries of Natural Disasters? Instead they take from you.

Do you also know that everything in that church is very cheap. You can eat good food with just N200 with two meats. He made everything easy and affordable for everyone.

When I said I had no role model, I was serious. Now I think I have a Role Model. I have someone to emulate in everything I do. You call him the Devil. But If the Devil can amend marriages, broken homes, feed people, give you salvation and hope, Why not follow that Devil. Infact if you find such devil, call me. I will gladly follow you instantly.

I think will stop here,I need to figure out on how to avoid very beautiful ladies. This is really eating me up because most of my female friends are very beautiful and I don't want to lose them.

Religion / VIDEO: I Predicted Brussels Bomb Blast - T.B Joshua by gordona4real: 9:00pm On Mar 22, 2016
Here we go again...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cfi7XtZcAWM

As the world mourns the tragic terror attack in Brussels, Belgium, Nigerian 'Prophet' T.B. Joshua has released a video to YouTube claiming he foretold the strike some weeks earlier.

Speaking of a 'French country' in his time of prophecies on Sunday 31st January 2016, the cleric said, "They have to tighten their security; it’s not yet over. These evil people are in the town."

The popular 'prophet' was seemingly referring to the perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Paris that left 130 dead in November 2015. "The people they chased out - there are some that are still there. They want to strike back."

He added that the 'evildoers' would look for an opportunity to strike an 'assembly of people'.

"They will blow - a lot of people will die. It will be the North part of a French country," Joshua warned, calling on congregants and viewers of his popular Christian channel Emmanuel TV to prayer.

In the early hours of Tuesday 22 March 2016, three explosions occurred in Belgium: two at Brussels Airport in Zaventem and one at Maelbeek metro station in Brussels.

At least 34 people were killed and 230 others injured in the deadliest act of terrorism on Belgian soil.

Shortly after news of the attack, terrorist group ISIS claimed responsibility in 'revenge for Belgium's role in fighting militants in Syria and Iraq'.

"We pray that God would strengthen the families and friends all the victims of the horrific terror attacks that took place in Brussels," the description of the Emmanuel TV YouTube clip solemnly concluded.

T.B. Joshua has gained a reputation for 'predicting' disasters.

He also claimed he predicted the last terror attacks in Paris, the disappearance of Malaysian Flight MH370, the death of pop legend Michael Jackson and a host of other international incidents.

His alleged prophetic ability was recently questioned by Malawi's President Peter Mutharika who described Joshua as a 'false prophet' in response to a rumour the cleric had foretold his impending death.

Politics / Of Adeboye, Wike And Bloody Elections In Rivers State by gordona4real: 9:22pm On Mar 19, 2016
Two months ago, Pastor Enoch Adeobye of Redeemed Christian Church Of God visited Rivers State, prayed with Governor Nyesom Wike and declared peace in the entire region. The video is there to prove it. Now, the rerun elections are being held amidst increasingly fearful reports of violence. Already, several were murdered in the run-up to the contentious vote. Now, my question is - were Adeboye's prayers ineffective or was his visit merely a formality without any genuine spiritual ramifications?

I know Redeemed lovers will assuredly fight - but the point is this: Why is your pastor making so many headlines for photo-ops with the political class, many of whom have questionable integrity. What actual impact did your visit have on the spiritual/ political climate in Rivers State. I guess time will tell but the current violence is certainly not a pretty reflection. A curse rather than a blessing seems to have come.

May God help our country!!

Religion / Pastor Adeboye, Governor Nyesom Wike And The Bloody Violence In Rivers by gordona4real: 6:57pm On Mar 19, 2016
I remember about two months ago Adeboye came to the Rivers State government house and prayed for peace with Governor Wike. They even attended the Holy Ghost Service, organised by the second largest Redeemed Christian Church in Nigeria. They both prayed and declared peace in the state, but instead of peace to reign, things have gotten darker. The violence has gotten so out of control with the approaching elections that I have become numb seeing graphic pictures of beheaded bodies. Does this mean that all the prayers and prophecy that Adeboye came to offer was nothing but a publicity stunt? I mean, he is regarded as the head pastor of the country but where is the evidence of the power of the Holy Ghost in his life? Christianity should not be fueled by political motives.
