EventsA Heartfelt wish by guvnor02(op):
On a day like this several years back, was a very remarkable day in the town of Ogbomoso in Oyo State. Like a male nightingale, a sonorous voice was heard in the house of Mr. David Okewole in the wee hours of that day, so sharp was the voice that ears of the neighbour tingled with great excitement. It was a new baby. It was a robust like skin baby girl who by the 8th day named Precious Omobola David

PoliticsAn Open Letter To Kebbi State Governor by guvnor02(op): 12:02pm On Sep 11, 2018
AN OPEN LETTER TO KEBBI STATE GOVERNOR

Your Excellency,
Sen. Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Bagudu,
Government House,
Birnin Kebbi, Nigeria.

"All of you are shepherds and all of you will be queried about all your subjects"~Prophet Muhammad

It is with great concern that I write this letter to you, I am not sure it will reach you but my believe in the power of 'share button' made me zealous to pick my writing materials. If however it reaches you, please note that I desire nothing personal but an effective change in the basic educational sector in Kebbi state.

I quoted Prophet Muhammad not because I doubt your knowledge of Islam but to remind you that, you will be asked before Allah about all the people of Kebbi.

Just like every concerned indigene, I expressed my deepest sympathy and great empathy with all Kebbi students who failed WAEC, NECO and other exams in the years; 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Over the years, apparent unabated failure and poor performance of Kebbi students were recorded in these examinations due to several challenges facing teachers and students and thereby affects the teaching and learning system entirely.

It is no worth saying that, while other states have performed progressively in these years, Kebbi has comfortably sat at the rear list of poor performing states, most especially in WAEC. For instance, Cross River State has risen from 29th to 2nd in NECO, Taraba state from 21st to 8th and Abia and Anambara always revolving the 1st position whilst Kebbi comfortably maintained 32nd position for years.

We have seen your commitments in the fields of Agriculture, Health and Electricity. However, basic educational reformation must be carried out to save the future of Kebbi state.

It is a wide believe amongst humans that, he who needs good have to give out the best for you get what you gives out. To save the future of the state, late payment of primary school teachers must stop, they should undergo capacity developing workshops either annually or biennially, leaf grants must be fully paid, teachers should be well motivated and their welfare should be improved and all retirees should be settled. Your excellency, I wish to inform you that, alot of schools have no staff quarters and even those with quarters need complete rehabilitation.

Your excellency! You cannot put a crown on a clown and expect a king, proper teachers audit should be carried out to ascertain the quality and qualification of all the teaching staff in the state, those who needs to further their education should be released and those who lack teaching requisite should be transferred to other sectors.

Your excellency, whilst I commend your government for beautifying measure streets withing the state capital with lights, I wish to bluntly inform you that most schools in the state lack infrastructures, alot of secondary schools in rural areas have no Science Laboratories while most schools in towns lack laboratory apparatuses. What you read you may forget but what you practice lasts forever. Secondary education needs to be taken from 'read and pass' stage to the 'read and practice' stage. Our technical schools need total revolution.

Your excellency, days have gone when teaching is a pride in the state, teachers were no more celebrated and given things for free even in local environments. Nowadays, primary school teachers feel shy to address themselves as nation builders in public gatherings, we must build that confidence into our teachers to get the desired result.

For every administration that wants to leave any legacy, education is the best for it gives the children of the poor just like you the chance to rise above their birth condition.

Your excellency, with less than a year to the end of your first tenure as governor of Kebbi state, the good people of this state that brought you in office still expect progressive change. There are schools in the state, what they need is teachers and teaching materials.

Lastly and most importantly, while I pray for your success and Allah's guidance, I wish to advise you to set aside all campaign and political locomotion, attend to this most important matter, pay WAEC and NECO fees to save students from losing admissions into tertiary institutions and I assure you that these students, teachers, families and friends will be the vanguards of your campaign rallies.

Yours In Struggle For Better Kebbi,

PoliticsIs He Truly Messiah Of Our Own Time? by guvnor02(op): 6:50am On Jul 18, 2018
AUTHORITATIVELY, NO NATION CAN SURVIVE WITH THE LEVEL OF INDECENCY AND CORRUPTION BEFORE THE ARRIVAL PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI AND THEREFORE SHOULD BE SEEN AS A MESSIAH.

18th July 2018.

By: Comr. Kabiru Samaila Warra

As a Nigerian, I unconditionally support the above assertion not only because I'm a pro Buharist but also because I'm a well meaning Nigerian, and so deemed it necessary to be just to whomever deserves it least.
The Prime Minister of UK sometime around 2016 in a submit said "had it been it was United Kingdom that is ruptured with the level Nigerian corruption for the last sixteen years of PDP governance, UK would have cease to exist on the surface of earth".
Also our former finance minister, Mrs Okonjo Iwaela once said "any body who will govern Nigeria after 2015 would not find it easy to govern this country and would face a serious economic challenges".
*hasn't our anti corruption champion been vindicated enough?*
However, I will also like to buttress my previous paragraphs with few points:

1. For the past 16years of PDP governance, a lot of monies were squandered through ghost projects, and workers; whilst millions of people are directly affected by such mischievous acts by the then leaders, they seem to behave like no blood do run in their veins, they are so callous and heartless, turning back to the masses that entrusted their future in their hands and voted them in, knowingly, knew that those affected by the laundering and squandering of public funds through ghosts (as used in this content) are these helpless masses.

2. If they truly meant well, and they are on cause of revamping this country why can't they just give the due support to this administration?
Which seem to be doing far better than it's predecessor.

3. Why are they sabotaging the efforts of our Hero? They are almost in every nook and cranny of our beloved country, starting from the National Assemblies to the wards; a typical example of such, a rep or senator, governor, commissioner, minister, LG chairman or Hon councillor, anybody who seem to see nothing good about the projects, meaningful policies, and above all fighting against corruption that have a positive impact on the lives of a common Nigerian, such person ought to answer these question(s): upon all the sixteen years of governance of PDP, why is it that it is BUHARI that has shown more commitments and concern on revamping our country from a state of decay, diversifying our economy to a more reliable facets (unlike the limited excess crude oil)?

4. Why is it that regardless of knowing its corruption that is eating up all the treasures of our land, no administration has shown more commitments towards wiping it out of our land regardless of the fact that the establishment of EFCC was before him, PMB?

Lastly, my call on every Nigerian, young or old, rich or poor, literate or illiterate, we shouldn't be deceived again and fall victim of their ploy/gimmick, a Chinese proverb says "fool me once, you are a fool and fool me more than once I'm a fool" these guys ganging up against our country's messiah in order to have access again to the treasury of this country let them know that we are wise now.

•••No more money for voting, cos no amount of money can buy us for the next four years.

•••No more supporting desperados, as we all should endeavour to necessitate supporting the righteous.

•••No more supporting ineffectuality or ineffective governance.

•••We on a course, and thus like a moving train, unstoppable.

Good day fellow compatriots.
God bless Nigeria

CrimeDakingari, Ex-kebbi Gov Served Corruption Charges by guvnor02(op): 8:05pm On Jun 20, 2018
After evading operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for over one month, former governor of Kebbi State, Usman Saidu Dakingari was today, June 20th, 2018 served with the fifteen count charge by the bailiff of the Federal High Court Kebbi at around 1:51pm in the defendant's residence at GRA Birnin Kebbi.

The fifteen charge was served on the defendant through one of his household, Mohammed Danladi, who collected the charge and the Court Order issued by the court granting the complainant leave to serve Dakingari alongside the 2nd and 3rd defendants.
Dakingari was supposed to be arraigned today, June 20th, 2018 before the Federal High Court Kebbi alongside three others: Sunday Dogonyaro, Abdullahi Yelwa and Garba Rabiu Kamba for allegedly receiving cash sum N700,000,000 (Seven Hundred Million Naira) only from the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison Madueke.

The arraignment was however stalled because the 1st, 2nd and 3rd defendants evade service and refuse to honour invitation by the commission.

Consequently, the prosecution was only able to produce the fourth defendant, Garba Rabiu Kamba before the court. However, Johnson Ojogbane applied for an order of court pursuant to section 382(5) of ACJA to grant the prosecution leave to serve the defendants through either their counsels, sureties, am adult member of their household or on their last known address.

The application was granted as prayed and the matter was subsequently adjourned to 25th June, 2018 for arraignment.

Nairaland GeneralLack Of Water Supply In FEDPONAM by guvnor02(op): 8:48pm On Jun 14, 2018
This is FEDPONAM The Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State.

On behalf of my fellow colleague, I write to bring to the notice of the general public that our school has been suffering from water shortage for the past few weeks.

Water supply has been extremely poor on day to day basis making our lives miserable. Quite often, water supply is so scanty that it is not sufficient for day to day use such as cooking, drinking, washing etc.

Sometimes water is supplied for only half an hour and sometimes we have to wait the whole day for water. But it is very poor dribble that we get from the tap. As it is widely said "Water is life" I can say very clear that we've been deprive life to live.

Please help! Enough is enough.... We can not bear this any longer.
