TheGuyFromHR: 1. Try these online agency sites: Zoopla, Rightmove, onthemarket, etc. Note that its not easy to get accommodation in the UK from Nigeria especially if you lack previous history, references, guarantor, etc. - where necessary you should be prepared to pay anything from 3 - 6 months rent upfront to facilitate things. 2. Yes. 3. You don't have to secure accommodation before completing the application form. 4. On a student's visa, you don't need proof of accommodation at POE. Thanks for the response... I appreciate |

SandraDee: 1. We all applied together so the only consent letter we submitted was for the children.
2. Documents that we submitted: Main applicant: TB test, Account Statement, Accommodation reservation (not really necessary, just did it because we are travelling with young children), CAS (also not necessary as the CAS number is in your application form), visas and stamps (as they were not in the current passport), Biodata page Spouse: Marriage certificate, Account Statement, TB test, Biodata page, visas and stamps Children: Birth certificate, Consent letter, Account Statement, TB test, Biodata page
We didn't want stories so we probably over-submitted Did you submit any family pictures or utility bills that shows you and your spouse name ? |

mimilyrics: 1. The placement year is especially useful for students without prior experience in the field or the UK because it is just to enable you gain work experience which some jobs might require. 2. It should be £705 for one year courses but if you go on a placement year, you'll have to pay IHS for each year of the placement. IHS is for each year that you spend in the UK and your visa should also reflect the additional time to be spent for the placement year. Thanks mimilyrics, does it mean i will have to pay £940 or £1410 for the two years ? because my calculations for a year and four months is £940. |

Hello house, am bit confused on what to choose, as a matter of fact i applied for a year and four months course in Bournemouth and i was asked if i would be interested in the two years placement. i do not have an idea of what the 2 years placement is all about and more so, of what advantage is it for my course Msc management with human resources. my question is
1. what advantage is the 2 years placement for my course? 2. whats the calculation for IHS for a year and four months course? and will the same amount be for the two years placement ?
Am being skeptical about the IHS, maybe i should go ahead with the placement if i wont be paying more for the IHS. |

[quote author=Haywhy3233 post=96426539]Yes Just saw this post
If you apply under the Student route on or after 1 December 2020, the financial requirement you must meet will be:
£1,334 a month for study in London £1.023 a month for study outside London
Not much difference I guess |

SandraDee: Assuming school is outside of London and oanda rate of 510:
Tuition balance - 11500 - N5,865,000 Maintenance (Main) - 1015*9 = 9135 - N4,658,850 Maintenance (Dependants) - 680*3*9 = 18,360 - N9,363,600 Total - N19,887,450
You can update the above if the school is in London. You can also check the oanda rate and update accordingly. Thanks for the analysis.. school is outside London |

Does anyone know if Bournemouth issues CAS letter without submitting the 28 days proof of funds( funds still in my account )? Below was the message sent to me after paying the deposit ....
This is to confirm that your payment of £3000 has been received.
Thank you for attaching these documents, however, we do not need you to send us anything else- your application is complete and CAS team will be preparing CAS shortly.
I suppose these documents will be needed for your visa application.
If we can help with anything further, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Best wishes,
* anyone with an update on this ? |

Bourne007: UKVI uses OANDA (https://www1.oanda.com/currency/converter/) for conversion. As it stands, it's approximately N498 but it's recommended to increase a bit more (say N100 as rate not stable)
Whether your dependant is 95 years old o or under 5 year, the same maintenance fee applies Thanks for your response , I learnt for main applicant is 9300 , so same fee for all dependents? |
