OK!!!!!!!!.........you see, there are two postings -one for training and the other is the permanent station. May be he told you of your permanent station because he told me my permanent posting. Anyway, I thank God that you have gotten the way forward.

Quodragoals: Guys! Please help us to verify as well.
I have been calling the number for weeks now, the guy is faithful and truthful, is not a braggart. He told me everything as things are unfolding in TCN. I once asked him of my posting, in his response, he told me my full address ( without telling him ) and my final destination which determined my RTC. To be honest with you, I hate convincing people to believe the truth because I am never a doubter. Do you know the problem with a doubter? Yes, they already had a preset mind to everything. Though, I understand that a lot of people are crafty but that does not mean everyone is.

Agaj4life, why is yours different? it is because right from on set you doubted the number and the person that posted the number : even Wallex confirmed the number. Agaj4life, please be positive in whatever you do and try to trust people. I understand how you are feeling but believe me, I feel concern as well. I have been thinking of those who have not received TCN text message and it doesn't make me happy because if it were to be me, I would feel bad as well.

Agaj4life, please try to call the number again, reframe your questions, be humble and patient with him. Clear your mind from all histories of known possible answers by you and give us the feedback. I am awaiting the outcome!

Quodragoals: bro! Is it an assumption?
My suspicion that we are going to be trained in batches is not just an assumption because it was culled from the text I received from NAPTIN ( This is to notify the TCN engineers SLATED FOR THE NAPTIN NGSDP ORIENTATION COURSE FROM 6th - 17th January, 2013 ). I think the word SLATED here means it is not all of us that will be engaged for the training in the specified period, 6th - 17th.

However, as it is confirmed from a source, TCN will still send us a text stating where we are posted and elaborate better on the training schedule.

Seyi Godspower: The bulb would not glow until the negative terminal of the battery is also earthed. Current flows from the negative terminal of a battery to the positive terminal. The direction of conventional current flow which is from positive terminal of the battery to the negative terminal is wrong. In the case above, when d negative terminal of d battery is earthed, current i.e electrons will flow from d negative terminal to d earth and from d earth to d wire connected to d bulb which you have already earthed.Current will then flow from d bulb to d positive terminal of d battery through d other wire which you have already connected to d positive terminal of d battery
Thumb-up!
Science/TechnologyWhere Do Electrons Go To? by Heisalive(op): 12:01pm On Dec 05, 2013
House, I need your contribution regarding the questions below:

1) What would happen If +ve terminal of a DC battery is connected to a bulb (using one wire) & another wire coming out from bulb is inserted in the ground (earth) instead of connecting it to the -ve terminal of the battery:
a) Would the bulb glow?
b) If yes, does it mean electrons in the wire flow into the earth?
c) If no, would it glow if the -ve terminal of the battery is connected to
the ground?

2) Could you account for the electrons that enter the ground as a result of:
a) connection of the neutral of electric source and drain to a ground?
b) Short circuit fault to a ground?
c) Surges been directed to the ground?

*please give explanation where necessary.
Thanking you.

@Ogunwale01:

‘HE WHO LIVES IN THE PAST IS ALREADY DEAD, HE WHO LIVES IN THE
FUTURE HAS NOT YET LIVED, BUT HE WHO LIVES IN THE PRESENT IS TRULY
ALIVE’

So often we live our lives fearing what might not even come into fruition. This
is mainly due to past hurts and the fear that they will happen again, but most
of all I think it comes down to the fact we believe we don’t deserve any better.
It is a vicious cycle that can swallow us up. We find ourselves too busy
focusing on ‘this will go wrong’, ‘I don’t deserve this’, we end up living a life
too busy focusing on the bad stuff that has happened that we miss the good
things that are happening right in front of us. I’m sure we’ve all been there
before. It is this fear that the big bad would happen again that makes us so
afraid to move forward, to put ourselves out there, to simply take a risk and
hope that this time it would be different. Because of this we miss out on so
many of the great opportunities life has to offer.

Yes life is a real bitch sometimes, but guess what, life can be a bitch for
everyone. It really comes down to the mindset of what you want to do with it.
Problems are circumstantial, yes shit happens but you choose to let it pull you
down or flick it off your shoe and move forward. Seriously how often can you
handle the smell of shit on your shoe before you have to kick it off?
Our past can hold us back and the unknown future can petrify us at times, too
often we find ourselves focusing on these then what is actually happening in the
now. I once heard a phrase that went like this…

‘He who lives in the past is already dead, he who lives in the future has not yet
lived, but he who lives in the present is truly alive’
Being someone who has lived both in the past and in the future, I know from
personal experience this gets you no where. Your heart only gets hurt as much
as you let it. Yes people disappoint us, some more so then others, some even
hurt us in ways that at times we feel might never move on from. But to believe
that as truth you are simply lying to yourself. Ultimately we are in control of our
lives and we have the power within to choose how we let the shitty moments in
life that we are faced with effect us.

What is the point of living in the past, you can’t change what has already
happened, and what’s the point of fearing a future of things that have not yet
happened. You’re more then likely to bring the things you fear the most into
fruition by focusing on them. Live for the now, take a risk, take a chance
because at the end of the day today is simply just another tomorrow.

Za-Baene:
Looking for a Job? Have you any friend or relative who needs a job, you can recommend this to him/her. It's a way they can be earning between N5000 to N10,000 daily in Nigeria. Further details here: http://benjaminonwe..com
To everybody in dis forum, I beg u IJN don't put in for d advertisement above. It is a bad way of making money. Though, financially you will make profit but socially, it will make you infidel. I know that a lot of us are sound mathematically. If u can take ur time to discern what this program is all abt u will realized there is N200 change going into d pocket of d pioneer of this program: who sits somewhere claiming to be a pastor and robbing people of their money in d name of wealth creation. Yes, he is actually creating wealth but for himself while others are labouring in vain.
This so call program has been around for a while but it is now in soft copy which is more deadly than the hard copy. During d hard copy era of this program, they opened offices with officers working for them. But after few weeks of operation, they just shut their offices and disappear. Now, internet version has been adopted as their soft copy. As I said, the soft copy version is more deadly because during d hard copy version u can still run after them for ur money but now u cannot do that.

You ask why I am bitterly concern abt this? Yes, I am concern because I will never and ever allow my enemy to fall victim talkless of u.

Let me chip in one of my experiences with them. As I completed my NYSC program in year 2012, while thinking of the way forward, a lady-friend of mine introduced me to one of this programs named WEALTH SOLUTION. To participate, I purchased a form worth of N10k from my friend who in return gave me another five forms to sell for N10k each before I could retrieve my capital and begin to making profit. Before I ventured into this program, I did my permutations and combinations very well and I knew d risks involved. I knew it was not a good business but all d same I ventured into it out of greediness which I later regretted.

The five forms I was given have to be sold for N10K each. Out of each sale, N2k went into my account, another N2k went into d accounts of three of my up-links and the remaining N2k into one special account. After the sales of d forms, I realized my capital but awaiting profit. But the people I sold d forms to are my close friends who could not sell one form talkless of d five forms. As a result of this, I didn't make profit while my friends could not make their capital. On realizing that my friends could not sell their forms, I felt bad not because of my profit but because of their capital: to help them sell their forms, 25 forms, now became my responsibility. To sell the forms is not a problem to me but I realized that I will end-up in a bigger problem because the people that I still market d forms to are known people to me who can easily access me if anything went wrong. What it means is that I will have 25 people with 125 forms on my neck while d large part of their capital is not even in my custody.

To cut d story short, I volunteered to refund them their capital which my best friend rejected. Since then he never called me and never return my missed calls.

I lost my good friend of donkey years: who had been there for me in most facet of youth-hood. Since then I have disliked short corner to success.

The secret of getting ahead is getting started. In order to succeed, you must first believe that you can. Act as if what you do makes a difference. To be candid it does. Things do not happen. Things are made to happen.

You should know where you are going, know the truth, and you should not have to be what TCN/NUEE/FG want you to become. If you don't design your own life plan, chances are you'll fall into someone else's
plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.

You are free to be what you want to be. What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.

Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. Believe in God, defend Nigeria: uplift her honour and glory, love your neighbour.

Seyi Godspower: People with authentic info, pls endeavour to update us here.
Guy, what u are looking for, now, is authentic lies not information. Blessmylj has said the truth in her last post:

blessmyij: My fellow Engineers, information reaching me from d same reliable source is dat dey sent a memo on thursday informing d remaining staffs of Tcn about our resumption. Then on friday, the electricity union replied protesting it cos of d unpaid Staffs. So they have to send that message. He said some other things but wat I gathered from wat he said is dat we will still start work dis year. We might be called next week, so keep preparing. No cause for alarm ur appointment is still intact. Cheer up guys
as well, the post I did this morning supported Blessmylj's stand. My advice for the house is to disregard any proposed timeframe for our resumption as this will not come-on not until NUEE Issues along with severance pay are sorted out.

All what we need is God's intervention and miracles!

Read this:
Our Nov 1st agreement not fulfilled yet –Unions

As the deadline for the payment of severance package ends today, Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) Benjamin Dikki has said that about 40,696 staff of the former Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) have been cleared of their severance package and pension retirement component.

Dikki disclosed this yesterday at the sideline of the induction ceremony of the NAPTIN Graduate Skill Development Programme (NGSDP) in Abuja. He said: “We have paid every PHCN staff who had gone through a verification process. They have been authenticated to be bonafide PHCN staff. We have done a biometric capture of them and they are about 40,696 who have been so verified and we have paid them, both the severance package and the retirement component that goes to their Retirement Savings Account (RSA).”

In his reaction, President of the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), Comrade Mansur Musa said not every PHCN worker has received the severance benefits, noting that the agreement the federal government reached with the workers two weeks ago was to fulfill same by November 15. He said if government failed to honour the agreement by the end of the month, the union will evolve another methodology to get government’s ears to the plight of the workers over their entitlements.

The BPE boss, Benjamin Dikki, further disclosed that the staff of Enugu
Distribution Company who had their data corrupted earlier are being attended to, “There are 1,478 from Enugu Disco whose bio-data was corrupted and we have already sent a team and they have already concluded the biometric capture. We are collating the information and in the next few days we shall remit their funds to their respective accounts,” he said. Still on addressing the payment of PHCN casual workers, Dikki said, “there are 2,500 casual workers whom we have not yet received document authenticating their status as staff of PHCN.”

“For those that we have verified, the argument was that casual workers will be made permanent and pensionable and all those who had authenticated data, we have already regularized their employment,” he said. Meanwhile, President of the Senior Staff of Electricity and Allied Companies (SSEAC) Comrade Bede Opara in a chat with our correspondent yesterday decried the development, saying government has failed to honour the promise it made earlier in the month that all severance packages of the workers would be settled today.

Opara attributed the non-payment to verification and ongoing clearance of some workers. He said, “as I’m talking to you, I am in Abuja and I can confirm to you that workers received their severance benefits between yesterday (Wednesday) and today(Thursday).”
