The executive vice chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, disclosed on Tuesday that the preferred bidder of 9mobile acquisition, Teleology Holdings Limited, has to pay the balance of $450million within the next 90 days to fully acquire the telecom company.


Disclosing this while fielding questions from journalists after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on payment systems in Nigeria yesterday in Abuja, Danbatta said the preferred bidder, which has already paid a deposit of $50million, has to complete the payment within the deadline to fully acquire 9mobile.


This is the first time the commission has publicly confirmed the payment by Teleology Holdings. It is coming days after the NCC and CBN denied knowledge of any payment by Teleology at a hearing by the House of Representatives.
Led by Adrian Wood (Former CEO of MTN Nigeria), Teleology Holdings Limited emerged as the preferred bidder in the sale of 9Mobile, ahead of about 16 companies that tendered expressions of interest (Eols) in February. Since its emergence, it has maked efforts to take over the telecom, including the payment of the $50 million nonrefundable deposit and releasing its agenda for 9Mobile.

Speaking on the issue, Prof. Garba Umar Danbatta, Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC said on Tuesday that 9Mobile will be handed over to Teleology after the payment of the balance is completed within the given period of time.

Well, the gist I have for you is that the preferred bidder has emerged and it has been told to pay. Starting with a deposit of $50 million, which the preferred bidder has paid, we have information to this effect. What remains is for the preferred bidder to pay the balance of $450 million in the next 90 days, or less than 90 days, anyway. And upon payment of that amount, 9Mobile would be transferred to the preferred bidder, which is Teleology Holdings Limited.

Manchester United have reacted to claims that midfielder, Ander Herrera,deliberately spat at Manchester City crest at half-time of their (United) 3-2 win over City on Saturday.

Mohamed Salah has played down injury fears after he limped off in Liverpool's 3-0 win over Manchester City, Jurgen Klopp has assured.



Shortly after half-time, following a chase for the ball, Salah pulled up holding his groin.

After receiving treatment on the touchline, Salah went down the tunnel and was replaced by Gini Wijnaldum.

Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes has reiterated comments made by CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge that Robert Lewandowski will not be leaving the club.

How to Pair Your Keyboard

Setting up a Bluetooth keyboard with Android is very easy. First, you’ll need a Bluetooth keyboard and, of course, an Android device. For this example, I’m using a Logitech Keys-to-Go keyboard.
In Android, enable Bluetooth if it isn’t already on. To enable Bluetooth, simply go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap the slider button to “On”. Then, turn on your Bluetooth keyboard and put it into pairing mode. (It will usually go into pairing mode automatically after you turn it on, though some keyboards may require an extra step—check your manual if you aren’t sure.)

On the Bluetooth screen, your Android device should automatically search for and find your keyboard. If you don’t get it right the first time, simply turn the keyboard on again and then tap “Search for Devices” to try again. If it still doesn’t work, make sure you have fresh batteries (or the keyboard is charged) and the keyboard isn’t paired to another device. If it is, you will need to unpair it before it will work with your Android device.
When Android finds your keyboard, select it under “Available Devices” and you should be prompted to type in a code.

If successful, you will see that device is now “Connected” and you’re ready to go.
If you want to test things out, try pressing Windows+Esc on the keyboard (or Command+Esc if it’s a Mac keyboard), and you will be whisked to your Home screen.
How to Use Your Keyboard

You probably know you can use your keyboard to type out emails, blog posts, or whatever other longform text you want. But your keyboard can do more than type. Traditional Windows and Mac users know there’s usually a keyboard shortcut for just about everything. So where does Android fall in terms of baked-in keyboard commands?
We’d say Android’s keyboard shortcuts are “enough, but not too much”. Still, there is enough keyboard functionality in Android to make it a viable option, if only for those times when you need to get something done and an on-screen keyboard simply won’t do.
It’s important to remember that Android is, and likely always will be, a touch-first interface. That said, it does make some concessions to physical keyboards. In other words, you can get around Android fairly well without having to lift your hands off the keys, but you will still have to tap the screen regularly unless you add a mouse. For example, you can wake your device by tapping a key rather than pressing its power button. If you have a password or PIN, you can type it in with your keyboard, but if your device is slide or pattern-locked, then you’ll have to use the touch screen to unlock it. Other things like widgets and app controls and features will also have to be tapped. You get the idea.

There’s now a Knock Apple Watch app for unlocking your Mac, which provides some good security — if someone puts your watch on, they won’t be able to authenticate and unlock your Mac. If someone grabs your phone and you’ve set up Knock, however, they’ll be able to log into your Mac unless you remotely disable Knock.
Knock costs $3.99 for the iPhone app. You’ll also need the Mac app installed on your Mac — that’s available for free.

Tether works entirely using Bluetooth Low Energy. Walk up to your Mac and your iPhone and Mac will establish a connection. Tether will automatically unlock your Mac when you approach. Walk away from your Mac with your iPhone on you and Tether will notice the iPhone is no longer in close proximity, automatically locking your Mac for you.
There’s now a Tether Apple Watch app, too. One concern with this solution is security — if you’re nearby your Mac in the same area, it will automatically be unlocked. If someone grabs your phone, they can approach your Mac and have it automatically unlock for them. It’s up to you whether this is good enough security for your needs.
