As for the price, it's a fan I'am currently using but started major renovations in my house so I chose to remove the Ceiling Fans and go for Standing fans, have u checked how much those cost lately? So I should sell the Ceiling fan for 4k to sombody and they're happy, then I go to the market with an additional over 42k to buy a standing fan?

My friend the cost of feeding a cow in the dry season when there is no grass is expensive.
The only way these herdsmen can afford it is to graze down south to greener pastures
If they stay in the north all through dry season, one cow will be minimum 5 million naira, because they had to be buying food for the cow.
People are complaining about chicken feed being expensive talkless of cow. Chicken grows in 9 weeks.
Cow can take 2-3 years to mature. If you buy cow feed for 3 years every dry season that cow will be 5 million when its time to sell it.
I hope you understand now.

But those in the south said NO, they have laws backing it, why won't you respect it?

You can make your point politely, no need to curse.
Nigeria has dry season in the North, transmigration of animals seasonally is a well described phenomenon, even in the wild.
Only way cow meet has subsidy in Nigeria/Africa is because they roam to feed.
If you tie down a cow to feed till maturity, the cheapest cow in the market will be 5 million naira minimum.
So herding actually benefits all of us, however these has increased clashes with farmers, which we can get together and find a solution to.

Many states have put anti-grazing laws running meaning they don't want grazing cows, why not respect them?

I don't see any other argument here, you know the truth, but you want to be mischievous.



Those northern states during dry season have very good government maintained agricultural irrigation systems, good fertiliser supply and access to produce vegetables such as lettuce, cabbage, all round vegetable supply, cereals such as millet, just last week the wheat harvest was shown; we know grass or hay can be recycled all year round via same practice, it will even attract more revenue for states where they are situated and development, many countries are doing it, let me say Argentina or so.

You see that thing in you people's mind, we in the south east know and it will never happen, not when this generation is alive.

Let them organize hearings between the herders and the farmers representative.

Herders how do we guarantee your safety and cow herds

1-Problems will be identified
2-Possible solution will be entertained
3-Least costly most effective trial solutions will be selected.

We might not get it right the first, second or third time, but at least there is a process in place.
Eventually we will get a lasting solution.
Have open/closed door senate hearings, let Nigerians see transparency in your effort, so that if it doesn't work eventually, everyone knows you tried.




If you are a Nigerian, and your family and village do farm, after suffering to plant crops, before or during harvesting, cows with humans called herders destroys them.


IF YOU AIn't DELUSIONAL, what is the solution, which sane country allows cow herding?
