Family / Re: How To Be A Good Wife To A Good Husband by iRepNaija1: 6:15pm On Feb 18, 2021
Localz:

There are many ways to be a bad husband, what I mean is if you know you are not a good husband, you cannot expect her to be good to you. She gives you what you deserve.

You have to be a king if you want to expect a woman to honour and submit to you. A woman cannot submit and honour a man who is weaker than her. I really don't mean to be offensive but I hope you get my point.

Serious question: please explain what you mean by this? Please do not use a religious argument.

Wow how did you know I was 13? Do you have super powers? Yes I'm 13 but I'll be 14 this year sha.

Sarcasm doesn't work here. You spent a considerable amount of time doing your "write-up," logging onto this site, and creating a thread to explain to strangers why you like to touch yourself to these actresses. Clap for yourself.

Edit: Oh and the fact that you can't bring yourself to say the word breasts. Seriously? Mammary glands?

OP, please ignore the people who are insulting you. It's unfortunate but this woman was using you, just like people can use others. She was familiar with your financial situation and still pressured you to buy her things and used emotional blackmail (e.g. silent treatment, canceling plans last minute, comparing your relationship with that of her friends). It would have been better for you to end the relationship months ago. Going into a relationship based on familial or outside pressure should not come at the risk of your personal and financial well-being and happiness. The woman for you will understand your financial situation and you'll still be able to purchase her budget-friendly but thoughtful gifts.

In the future, please be extra discerning about women who are always asking you to buy them things, items you know are not in your budget. Please pay attention to how she reacts. Then it will easier to cut them loose if you need to end the relationship. Please don't this one experience with this selfish person turn you off to women entirely. Block that girl and never call her back. Good luck.

Romance / Re: My Fiancée Has Stopped Picking My Calls by iRepNaija1: 9:29pm On Feb 07, 2021
sapien:
Good evening, Romancelanders. It's quite a lengthy read, so bear with me.

This lady and I have been dating for the past 4 years, and I am planning on making it official later this year, though Covid-19 has made my finances quite complicated at the moment.

Recently, specifically over 2 weeks ago, she suddenly stopped picking my calls. Prior to that, we haven't seen each other since September last year. She always comes up with one excuses or the other every weekend whenever I tell her to come over to my place or if I want to go over to her place to see her. I always have busy schedules during the midweek, so we usually have only weekends to see each other.

I have gone to see her mother and her siblings last year. They accepted me as a prospective in-law. The mum said she queried her daughter and she told her that I was the one she would like to spend the rest of her life with, hence the mum's invitation. Her mum usually calls me from time, and I do talk to her, too.

Couple of days back, I had to call the mum to report her daughter to her regarding the uncharacteristic change in her daughter's behaviour, and how, despite living in the same city, we haven't seen each other in 4 months, and how she has refused picking my calls in more than 2 weeks.

She promised to talk to her and ask her what the problem was and get back to me. I waited for some couple of days, but when I didn't see the mum's call, I had to call her back. I had to ask her to give her daughter her phone so I could talk to her and ask her some salient questions regarding our relationship. She kept saying there is no problem and that I didn't offend her, and our relationship is still standing strong. I asked if she was going through some personal issues that she could share with me and we might find a solution; she said she was perfectly okay. We settled our issues right there and then, and she promised to call back the second day.

I waited for the second day and I did not see her call. I had no choice than to call her back. Ladies and gentlemen, this girl didn't pick my calls. When she eventually picked after multiple missed calls, she was talking to someone else, while my airtime was burning out. I became enraged. I had to call the mum the second day to tell her I was no longer interested in the daughter, that she was probably seeing someone else, and she didn't have the guts to tell me.

The mum swore that her daughter is not seeing someone else, as far as she knows, and that she hasn't brought anyone to meet her. The mum is a Deeper Lifer, and from my interactions with her, she doesn't condone two-timing. She promised to talk to her daughter, that maybe we should give ourselves more time, like taking a break for a couple of months.

I am not usually this patient, and never condoned negligence and disregard in my previous relationships. However, this girl had been special to me, prior to her negligence. She was quite dedicated to me during the course of our 4-year-old relationship. She was never demanding, and was contented and altruistic, too. She helped me many times in the past, financially, whenever I was broke, and I always repaid her back, too. She was a wife material, and loved by my family as well.

The questions are;

1. Do I disregard the mum's advise?

2. Do I still give this girl another chance after her blatant negligence?

Everything I bolded is a huge red flag. You haven't seen your fiancee since September? And she makes excuses not to see you? And you live in the same city? Second, stop involving the mother in this matter. If you marry this woman and when she "acts up," are you going to report her each time to her mother? The fact that the mother is saying you should take a break from your fiancee is another red flag. Finally, general advice, you need to exercise patience period because marriage is 100x harder than what you're experiencing now.

All that being said, you should break up with this woman. I know four years is a long time to invest in someone but she's obviously changed and is refusing to tell you why. Break up with her, cut her off entirely (do not reach out, it's for your benefit), and start dating other people and refocus on your hobbies. The ONLY reasons you would even consider talking to her again are if she apologizes AND she explains her strange behavior AND promises never to do it again. Other than those reasons, don't ever respond. She'll eventually understand this is the consequence of her changed behavior. Good luck.

OP, there is no doubt there are sexual predators in the world who prey on innocent and defenseless children. But it seems like you're looking for something in this picture that is not there. This father is showing appropriate love to their child. You're trying to put your own assumptions/misgivings/ideas into this situation. Tell me, if this picture was showing a mother kissing her child, would you have felt the need to make a thread about whether something inappropriate was going on in that situation? We already have enough parents who are not present in their children's lives. Let's celebrate where we can.

OP, please ignore the people insulting you and calling you names. We're human beings with feelings and you should never be made to feel ashamed for loving someone and showing that love through actions. That being said, this woman does not love you and is emotionally blackmailing you to get money from you. A relationship should not cause you unnecessary stress and this one is. So I know it might be hard but you need to cut her off completely and move on with your life. No more calls, texts, social media, etc. Take what happened in this relationship as a lesson learned and only give the amount of money you're comfortable with (meaning an amount you won't give a second thought to). There are users all around us, regardless of gender. Good luck.

I'm confused. How do you have a commitment with Guy A when he doesn't reach out to talk or text with you? You never have to question whether a guy is into you or not, look at Guy B always reaching out. You know he's interested because it shows in his actions. As for Guy A, leave him alone, focus on your hobbies, friends, and other men you're interested in (it doesn't have to be Guy B). Once you focus on yourself, you won't be worrying about what Guy A is doing. Good luck.

What f*cking difference does it make whether a man kneels down to propose or not?

So sick of all these BS people thinking not kneeling to propose makes them a bigger man or suddenly increases their penis size by 30 inches.

The sooner Nigerian men realise that a wife is a lifelong partner that is supposed to help and be of counsel through the winding and often rugged and uphill journey of life and not a property bought with dowry to be treated with disdain, the saner and happier our society will be.

I would like your post twice if I could. I'm deeply concerned for these men with such fragile egos and such disdain for women.

Romance / Re: My Girlfriend Doesn't Love Me As Much As I Love Her. Should I Break Up With Her? by iRepNaija1: 7:33pm On Dec 11, 2020
TheZebra:
Hello, good day. Before i go on, let me give a small details about myself. I am a 23yr old graduate who just finished from ABU Zaria last year. I am very good looking, i mean handsome, like very handsome that it has become my trademark everywhere i go. Many people feel i am a bad player cos of how i relate with females, but the truth is i am an introvert, but not shy. I love spending my time alone and enjoying my peace. But when it comes to social activities also, i participate fully cos I'm not shy, just an introvert. My introvert nature makes me see ladies as a waste of time because i enjoy the company of myself. As a result of this, i haven't had any serious relationship with any lady.

Recently, i met a hausa lady in my are where i stay in kaduna, one of the most beautiful and influencial area in Nigeria as it is home to Hundreds of political names in Nigeria, from governors to presidents. I am currently financial stable as i don't depend on anyone.

So about 2months ago, i met this lady, cute Muslim lady, I'm sure she should be around 22-24 cos I'm sure she's older than me. This lady loves me to the core and she doesn't deny me sex. We have it on a steady.

Now, i noticed that i am so getting into her even more than the way she loves me, but i didn't let her know because i am a Red pilled guy. I know how to make a lady submissive to me, besides any lady i meet is ready to submit totally to me because i told you i have a nice look and also good physique. My girlfriend once even told me that she is shocked I'm not cheating on her cos according to her, no lady in this world can resist my seduction.

Maybe she thinks i just wanna play her, but I'm not, I'm ready to love her for real even though we won't get married, and she knows.

Now my main aim of writing this is because i need help on if i should break up with her because i don't want to come out weak showering love on her. I hate being seen as weak.

Note: she doesn't ask me for financial aid, nothing at all... Even if i try recharging her phone, she doesn't accept. You know how hausa girls are.

Love is selfless. Showing your girlfriend love is not a weak thing, it's a beautiful thing and if it bothers you so much, then maybe you shouldn't be in a relationship at all. It just sounds like you're looking for a way to control your girlfriend emotionally by having her love you more than you do her. So sad.

Romance / Re: The Most Beautiful Girls I've Ever Seen Are Married To Poor Men. by iRepNaija1: 7:25pm On Dec 11, 2020
iamrealdeji:
I'm still wondering why some women think they can marry rich men because of their beauty. But come to think of it,I've lived in Ilorin for years and the most beautiful girls I've ever seen there are married to poor men. Or does ''rich man'' have another meaning? A Gardner I know who is very poor is married to one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen in Ilorin. This girl looks like an Indian. Another girl at Amoyo,Ilorin who looks too fine and looks so Indian is married to a poor bus driver and they live in his father's mud house patched with cement. Many more of them like that you would see jumping from okada to Okada or waving taxi with their baby at their back. In Saki too,you would see an Okada man married to 4 drop dead gorgeous girls as wives. My question now is that why do girls that are not that beautiful look for rich men around to marry, are they not seeing these girls or are they just deceiving themselves thinking that there aren't very many beautiful girls and very few rich men and the rich marry the rich these days? Am I the only one that see things this way?
Mind you,I'm not a poor guy o

For the same reason some rich men think they deserve beautiful women. What is the point of this thread?
Health / Re: Bad Breath Wants to kill me! Help! by iRepNaija1: 9:21pm On Nov 11, 2020
BadBreathBoy:
This guy called bad breath have haunted me all the way from primary school down to secondary and even to my university level.

I am still a young 19 years old guy at the peak of youthfulness but this guy is just ruining everything for me.
My self-esteem, public speaking skills, social life, confidence, in fact, everything has been smashed with a sledgehammer right in my face.
I have turned into an introvert because of this bad sickness but will cover it up with "Money on my mind" shït.

I have tried everything possible guys.
Below are kinds of stuff that I have tried and it is not working.

1. Visiting a dentist.
6 months ago, I took all the money I had to go over to the dentist in search of a solution. Had to wait for hours before getting attended to.
When the doctor came in, she first started with some words of encouragement.

Telling me I might not have bad breath and all, people might be thinking they have it but don't blah blah blah.
(So me that have bad breath I don't know what I am saying right?)
After much talk, she recommended flossing and cleaning.
That exercise where water passing through a tiny hole at high speeds is used to remove plaque from in between your teeth.
I had to shell out a whopping 4k for that plus the extra card of 500.
All the money I saved was gone just like that.
It didn't work!!! Bad breath still held me down.

2. Brushing twice a day. I did this for 1 week straight up without any improvement relative to the hard work put in. So I became less consistent with this. Toothpaste I have tried includes, Oral B, MyMy, Maclean, Close up, name it. Didn't work.

3. Garlic and ginger. Some persons here on Nairaland recommend that ginger and garlic can be used to drive off bad breath. The prescription was to swallow it whole before going to bed at night then brush in the morning to remove the after-effects.
I tried this for one week. Didn't work.

4. Mouthwash: I have wasted more than 4k in buying mouthwash but these things are just 2 hours wonder from the moment of application.
I get fresh breath for the time being but after like 3 to 4 hours, the bad breath keeps on coming back. Still didn't work.

5. Hydrogen peroxide: Someone also recommended I use this to chase bad breath.
It also works for sometime after which bad breath comes back. I even tried to dilute less than normal for maximum effects but the only thing I got was an irritating burn on my tongue. I am so not using this guy again!

6. Walnut: Some said walnut could be my Savior so I had to buy them in large quantity to chew but it didn't have long-term effects.
So I ditched it. I don't have money to waste as I am still a student.

7. Chewing a combination of bitter leaf, scent leaf, and guava leaves: Out of intuition, I decided to try this combination. My common sense inferred that since it was bitter, it should probably have some effects on the bacteria in my mouth. But alas! Bad breath wasn't even impressed one bit. I even had to stuff them in my pocket and chew on them while going to class. This was a big flop.
Didn't work at all.

8. Agnes Nwamma Herbal powder: I don't know what to say about this one, because it was even better that I just didn't brush for that day. Very useless in fighting off bad breath.

The funny thing that leaves my jaw-dropping is that my dad doesn't even brush, he uses a chewing stick but still has a very fresh breath than I that used mouthwash, baking powder, toothpaste and still chew the chewing stick to top that.

9. Chewing gum like Clorets, Methos: I have to be frank about these gums, they kind of aggravates the bad breath. They are simply applying salt to injury so I just stopped using them altogether.

Pls Nairalanders, help me out here. There have been lots of people who found a solution to their problem on here, so I doubt mine will be different.
Pls, I need something else to try that will not dig a hole in my pocket as I am still trying to stand on my feet.
I need a permanent solution not 3 hours wonder.

Lala pls push to the front page so I can get a large set of solutions to fight this off.

I don't want to resume school like this.
I am tired, I am weak, disheveled, exhausted, dejected, depressed, anguished, melancholic, in fact, I have tayad like this.

My confidence and esteem have been crushed by bad breath. Shyness, inability to have streamlined chat with people, playing deaf and dumb, using hand signals whilst communicating, smiling like a peacock when my opinion is required, staying away from girls, snubbing people, rejecting positions that have me talk to a crowd has taken over!!

Pls, abeg, mbok, biko, I need a solution.
A permanent one at that.

You need to brush your tongue. Get a tongue scraper or brush.
