China’s out of control Tiangong 1 space station early this morning Monday 2nd April smashed into Earth at 17,000mph off the coast of Tahiti mostly disintegrated as it hit the planet’s atmosphere.

The demise of the nine-ton space station had been the subject of scientific speculation for months amid fears large chunks of it could come down near population centers. Experts had been unable to predict where the installation, which is roughly the size of a school bus, would come down but in the end it re-entered the earth’s atmosphere over the South Pacific.

The craft re-entered the atmosphere around 8.15am Beijing time (0015GMT) and the ‘vast majority’ of it had burnt up upon re-entry, the China Manned Space Engineering Office said. Just minutes before, their best estimate predicted that it was expected to re-enter off the Brazilian coast in the South Atlantic near the cities of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. China’s space authority said on Sunday that the station would hit speeds of nearly 17,000mph before disintegrating.

They previously said its fiery disintegration would offer a ‘splendid’ show akin to a meteor shower but the remote location likely deprived stargazers of a spectacle of fireballs falling from the sky.

A Nigerian born asylum seeker in Italy has been arrested for allegedly beating the owner of the hotel he was staying in near Taranto, Italy.

According to report, 33 year-old Emmanuel Omozee was arrested for beaten the owner with a chain and a stick. He was thereafter charged with grievous bodily harm.

Nigerian Oil And Gas Engineer Jailed For Rape In Aberdeen Months After His Lavish Society Wedding

Nigerian born oil and gas engineer, Kufre Umoh Uwem was, yesterday, slammed with a seven years jail term for allegedly raping an 18-year-old student in Aberdeen. The incident reportedly happened just three months after his lavish wedding in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in December, 2017.

According to reports, 34 year old Kufre Umoh Uwem, of 6 Waterton Lawn, Stoneywood, Aberdeen, who was a sub-sea project engineer, detained the woman against her will in his flat, removed her clothing and proceeded to rape her. He was also convicted of intent to rape a second woman in her flat. The offences were committed on October, 18, 2012, and October 30, 2016, at flats in Aberdeen.

Delivering the judgement at the High Court in Glasgow, Judge Lord Arthurson said;

“This was a course of violent and predatory sexual offending, notwithstanding the four years between the two offences.”

The court heard that Uwem’s first victim was a first-year student who Uwen met by chance and invited her to his flat. Once there he raped her. In a victim impact statement to the court the victim said that the rape had “a monumental impact on her life”. Uwem’s second victim was attacked in her own home. Uwem restrained her, removed her lower clothing with intent to rape her. He stood with his head bowed as Lord Arthurson told him: “The consequences are truly catastrophic for you.” Uwem, who has an MSc in pipe engineering, was placed on the sex offenders’ register

Speaking in an interview with irukkanews, the president of the organization, Prince Ignatius Ozaraebuka during the last general election, Senator Ararume sowed seed of treachery, adding that what goes round always has a way of coming round. According to him, Ararume was one of those who brought the embarrassment that is currently going on in Imo state in the name of governance by Okorocha.

He said after the governorship primary of the PDP in Imo State in 2014, which Ararume lost woefully, instead of exercising spirit of sportsmanship and team up with the winner, Hon.Emeka Ihedioha, and ensure that PDP retains the Douglas House Owerri, he went to court to challenge what was obviously a free, fair and credible primary and while the case was still in the court, Ararume decamped to APC with his supporters and then began to tell the world that Owelle Rochas Okorocha was the best thing that God has ever created and at the same time rubbishing the PDP.

Prince Ozaraebuka said that what Ararume refused to realize then was that what goes round has a way of coming round and with what one measures, would be measured unto him. He said the world is now wondering why the same Ararume who told said Okorocha was the greatest political gift that God gave to Imo state in 2015 would now be talking differently, simply because the governor refused to endorse his 2019 governorship ambition.

The Imo Peoples Assembly president said that the indigenes are not deceived by Senator Ararume’s later day repentance because the difference between him and governor Okorocha is like six and half a dozen.

“Senator Ararume is reaping what he sowed in Imo state in 2015. He sowed the seed of treachery and he is reaping the same now. He was one of those that dis-organized the Imo PDP by going to court to challenge the outcome of the gubernatorial primary which was won by Hon.Emeka Ihedioha. We went all the way to the Supreme court and when he lost, he decamped to the APC with his supporters, most of them who did not know that he was fighting a selfish war.

But today, the pendulum has swung to the other direction and he is lamenting. But the truth is that Imolites are not deceived by his antics. We are aware that he is ready to fraternize even with the devil in order to achieve his governorship ambition but the reality is that Imo state has moved beyond him and Okorocha”.

The Civil Liberties Organization(CLO), has described the recent sacking of 205 Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) staff over the election fraud they committed during the 2015 general election as not only belated but medicine after death.

Reacting to the development, the Executive Director of the foremost Nigerian civil society group, Ibuchukwu Ezike said that sacking people who committed electoral fraud in 2015 in 2018 when politicians they helped to rig into office have almost finished their tenure does not make sense. According to him, even sacking them and leaving those they helped to rig into to continue to enjoy the booties of stolen mandates does not also make sense.

He said that it is only in Nigeria that stories like this are made available to the public and nothing would happen.
The CLO Executive Director said that if it is in countries where things are done properly, by now the Chairman of INEC should be on his way out of the office.

According to him, there is no way anybody could quantify the colossal damage the corrupt INEC staff have done to Nigeria by denying the masses their fundamental human right of electing who they want to serve them. He said that sacking the corrupt staff is not enough, adding that they should be prosecuted and sent to jail
According to him, the politicians who benefited from the fraudulent activities of the INEC staff should also be fished out and made to suffer the same fate by revoking their election and mandating them to refund to government the salaries, allowances and every other thing they have gotten from office.

“It is a very big shame the news that INEC released yesterday that they have axed 205 of their staff over election fraud they committed in 2015. The 2015 general election was held in March and this is march of 2018, which means it took them exactly three years to investigate the staff and come to the conclusion that they are culpable.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Alright, now that you have found them guilty and sacked them from office, what happens to the politicians that benefited from their fraud? Since they are not mentioned, it means they will continue to enjoy their stolen victory. The world knows that the 2015 general election, most especially the presidential cannot pass integrity test.

Just imagine in Kano State where INEC declared almost two million votes without a single void vote, where on earth is that possible? Two million people to vote and without an individual making a mistake on his or her ballot paper. Even till date nobody is asking question about the mysterious death of the Kano State INEC Resident Electoral commissioner who conducted the election but was roasted to death with his entire family just few days after the election. So, we know that INEC is one of the most corrupt agencies in the country and therefore, the monkey game that they are playing is not lost on us. May be they want us to praise them for sacking 205 staff that was involved in election fraud in 2015, three years later, what a shame?

Controversial Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, whose less than a year marriage to Olakunle Churchill packed up over allegations of domestic violence and infidelity on the part of her husband has once again set the record straight on the alleged father and son relationship between her ex-husband and Nigeria’s former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

An Igbo group, Igbo Youths Initiative have chastised the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi for telling the Igbo people to apologize to President Muhammadu Buhari for not voting for him in the 2015 presidential election.

Commenting on the statement made by the Minister while delivering a lecture at the convocation ceremony of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State, the president of the organization, Prince Alexander Ezeobi said that in 2015 presidential election ,Igbo voted for equity and justice. According to him, in the history of Nigeria, the north has dominated governance, adding that allowing the north to continue to dominate power is gross injustice to the other component parts of the country.

He said that Amaechi has no moral right to lecture Igbos on how to vote for in elections because he is one of those that has put the country in the mess it is for selfish reasons. Prince Ezeobi said that even if Igbo’s had given bloc vote to Buhari in 2015, he would not have done anything different from what he is doing now because of his hatred of the Igbos.

According to him, Igbos have no apology whatsoever, for the decision they took in 2015 and if the same situation repeats itself ,they would still vote the same way. He said that those campaigning for Igbos to vote for Buhari in 2019 so that he would hand over to an Igbo man in 2023 are political jobbers who only care for their own interests insisting that instead of Igbos apologizing to Buhari, it is Amaechi who should go and apologize to his people for betraying them.

He said that the role Amaechi played in 2015,would not only hunt him, but it would hunt his generations yet unborn, if he fails to apologize to his people. His words,

“Rotimi Amaechi said that Igbos should confess and apologize for voting against Buhari in 2015. I want to say that if it was mistake that we made in 2015, we will be the happy to make the mistake over and over again. Another thing is that Amaechi has no moral right to educate Igbos on who to vote for in an election. Even whoever choose him for the lecture did a dis-service to the Igbo nation because as distinguish Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe rightly said, Rotimi Amaechi is the worst choice for the lecture.

If we talk of the person that should confess and apologize, it is the Minister because he betrayed his people. As far as Ikwere and Rivers state is concerned, Rotimi Amaechi is a traitor, a political vagabond. So, he should go and confess and apologize to his people. In fact, he need to shave his head, put on a sackcloth and roll on the ground for his people so that they would forgive him because what he did would continue to hunt his family from one generation to another.

I also want to say that if the 2015 situation repeats itself again, Igbos would still do the same thing. We have no iota of regret for not voting Buhari and we are very happy that we did not contribute to the state that Nigeria is in currently with our votes”

For failing to heed the summon of the Divisional Police Officer of Elele Police Station in Orile-Agege Local Government Area of Lagos State, the General Manager of Ikeja Electricity Company, Mrs Adetutu Caster may be declared wanted today,

Mrs Caster was summoned over complaints by the Chairman of Jaspand Hotel Limited who she is having problem with over alleged illegal disconnection of power, extortion, harassment and intimidation by coming with some unidentified men who took pictures of the hotel and zoomed off as if all the demons in the world were after them when the security men at the premises came to inquire why they were taking the picture.

When the Chairman of Jaspand Hotel Limited, located at No,4 Oshikalu Street, Pleasure Bus stop ran to the DPO of Elele Police Station Orile –Agege and complained of the development, he summoned the Ikeja General Manager, Mrs Adetutu Csster to come and explain her role but for two days now she has failed to appear. In line with the development, the chairman of the hotel has expressed fear over his life.

According to him, that the General Manager failing to report to the Police when she was summoned simply showed that she has something to hide because guilty is always afraid. He appealed to the Police to make sure that the woman is arrested and investigated to unravel the reason why stormed his hotel with unidentified group of people who took pictures and ran away.

“I am sending an SOS appeal to the Nigeria Police. I don’t know the reason why the General Manager of Ikeja Electricity company, Orile-Agege, Mrs Adetutu Caster should come and take pictures of my hotel and run away. Before this, she had sent her boys to come and illegally cut power from my property even though I am up to date with the payment of my bills. After paying my January bill, she brought another bill of N747,000 still on the same property but this time around with my own name and was demanding N200.000 bribe to cancel the bill which I refused to pay and since then she has been harassing and intimidating me. My business is also suffering greatly because I have been running on generator since then.

The General Manager of Ikeja Electricity Company, Mrs Caster has been summoned by the Lagos State Police Command to explain why she came in commando style with some unidentified men to take pictures of Jaspand Hotel Ltd., No.4 Oshikalu Street, Pleasure Bus Orile Agege, Lagos last Friday, March 16 and zoomed off in a car when they saw the security men guarding the hotel coming to ask them the reason for the pictures.

Before the incident, the Solicitors to the hotel, Terry Badmos Adeniyi and Co. had written a petition with the title ‘RE: Petition Against Ikeja Electricity Company Orile-Agege Business Unit: A Case of Illegal Disconnection, Extortion and Incessant Harassment’, which was received by the company and also distributed to the print, electronic and online media houses. In the petition, Terry Badmos Adeniyi had alleged that Ikeja Electricity company had two bills for the same property at No 4 Oshikalu Street, Pleasure Street, Orile-Agege.

According to them, one of the bills has the name of the hotel on it while the other bill has the name of the owner of the hotel but still the same property. This is part of the petition; We act as solicitors for Jaspand Hotel Ltd, of 4, Oshikalu Street, Pleasure Bus Stop, Orile-Agege Lagos hereinafter called our client and on whose behalf we write.
Our client who has been in operation since five years ago has been a credible and responsible customer of Ikeja Electricity hence any estimated bill brought is always promptly settled by our client. In fact the January bill clearly shown that our client has offset all the estimated bills up- to -date. A copy of the said bill is hereby attached for perusal.
Surprisingly, instead of commending our client for being responsible. the General Manager of Ikeja Electricity Orile-Agege Business Units surreptitiously manufactured another bill out of the blue in respect of the same hotel building but on another name. Please note that there is no any existing record of power usage even before the hotel was erected. The two rooms originally on the two plots of land was not occupied by anybody, thus no connection to the public power supply. How did Ikeja Electricity of Orile-Agege business unit fraudulently generated another bill on another name of N700,000 (Seven hundred thousand Naira Only ), simply because our client decided to be a loyal customer and paid off all his bills?

In fact, the General Manager, one Mrs Caster, refused to listen to all entreaties but demanding for the sum of N200,000(Two hundred thousand naira only), to wipe off the illegal bill of N700,000(Seven hundred thousand naira only) which was never owned by our client. This autocratic decision of this woman has negatively affected the business of our client whose customers patronage has reduced since the illegal disconnection?

When the General Manager of Ikeja Electricity realized that the petition had gone into the hand of various media houses, she in company of other unidentified persons had gone to the hotel to take its pictures for reasons which the Lagos Police command is working seriously to unravel. Meanwhile the owner of the hotel has cried out that his life is now in danger over the action of the General Manager.

He has appealed to the Inspector General of Police and the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode for protection.

Residents of Ago Palace way, early this morning stormed the Okota office of Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) along Cele road in protest demanding Prepaid meters. They were protesting what they termed ‘Evil Exorbitant’ light bill which they swore not to pay and asked for installation of prepaid meters in their homes.

The residents who were at the office as early as 7am today succeeded in locking out most of the workers and denied them access into their offices. According to them, what they wanted was prepaid meters as it is very obvious the light company was out to rob them of their hard earned money using light bills which they said was increased to almost 700% the previous month.



Some of the Residents who spoke with Irukkanews said, despite their more than two years plea to the light company to give them prepaid meters, they are yet to be given any but rather get charged very high with each light bill issued. A resident who spoke with Irukkanews said;

For some reasons we have been receiving crazy estimated light bills, and it has been on for quite a long time now, we were here two years back and demanded for Prepaid meters and for some reason best known to them, they gave neighboring streets prepaid meters but ignored Apena street and have since been giving us estimated bills. This month alone a shop on the street was billed N17,000 another shop got billed N20,000, I myself, I was billed N13,000 for the month and nobody stays in my house on week days, we all go to work and come back late at night. Most of the time even now, they usual give us half current and still bill us.

What we are saying is, we are not paying the bills they brought for this month till we are given prepaid meters. How can a small shop on the street be billed N20,000 for a month, what is the person using light for that would amount to that.

Give me prepaid meter so I can regulate what I use and be able to account for it. we will never pay light bills again until we are given prepaid meters

When asked if the approach they have taken is the right way, he said;

We are not fighting, this is the only thing we can do and If Fashola can hear this, he will do something. How much am I making in a month that I will be billed 20k plus for light alone and it not like we even get constant light. the light is very poor.

Another resident who spoke with Irukkanews has this to say:

We are here from Apena street, we are here because we all received a very crazy and exorbitant bill, almost 700% increase from last month and we didn’t even get the light. Even one gets 24 hours daily which is not possible, it still doesn’t justify the increase because they have been no increase in tariff, So why that. This has been going on for two years now. We have written to NERC, relevant authorities also written the light company, and had series of meetings with them. we have piles of our letters, we have been writing and they have been shifting ground. All the surrounding streets have Prepaid meter, and they have refused to give us prepaid meters. They have provoked us by issuing us with more than 700% bill, we are not paying. We want prepaid meters

An official of the IKEDC tried to calm them down with promises but the residents insisted of an assurance that they will get their prepaid meters and promised to be back within two weeks should they fail to provide them with prepaid meters.

Revealed: Beneficiaries of 2014 Nigerian Civil Defence promotion Are Still Receiving Old Salary


This may sound unbelievable but it is true. Officers promoted by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps in 2014, up till now have not started receiving the promotion salary. A source in the Ministry of Interior told irukkanews that the promoted officers have not even received their promotion letters, let alone increment in their salaries almost four years after

However, the source said that their counterpart in the Immigration who were promoted at the same time were decorated a week after their promotion and since then have been enjoying their new salary and to complicated matters, some of the officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence corps who were promoted in 2014 and have not started enjoying the promotion salary, also got the recent promotion in the agency.

An NSCDC officer who spoke to irukkanews under condition of anonymity said among all the agencies in the Ministry of Interior, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps is the most marginalized and discriminated against.
He said he wondered why the Ministry of Interior should be raising their hopes with promotions and dashing it without any corresponding increase in their salary. According to him, the reason why insecurity still persists in different parts of the country is because the officers of NSCDC are not being motivated. He said the moral of the officers are in all time low because of the way they are being treated.

“Imagine some of us were promoted since 2014 and up till now we are yet to receive letters of the promotion, let alone the new salary. Even some of us who were promoted then were also recently promoted and no letter was giving to us to show the promotion and no change in our salary.

What is the need for raising our hopes and dashing it. It is better they leave us the way we are. They would tell you that you have been promoted, therefore you should go to the war front and catch Abubakar Shakau to reciprocate the promotion but at the end of the day, there would be no change in your salary scale. That is why you still see insecurity everywhere. Our moral is very low.

They are using us to play politics, but at the end of the day, the country is becoming the worse for it with insecurity threatening to envelope the whole country”.

Ahead of the 2019 general election, Igbos in Lagos State have declared operation get your voters card. Chairman of Isolo Igbo Stakeholders Forum, Prince Nixon Okwara said that the notion that votes does not count in Nigerian elections should be discarded.

According to him, over 85 million Nigerians are eligible to vote but because of this notion that votes does not count in Nigerian elections or that the elections have already been rigged, over 65 per cent of the number especially in the southern part of the country do not bother to register, let alone vote. He said the real issue of avoiding electoral process is not healthy because political decisions would definitely affect us either positively or negatively, hence the need to be part of the coming electoral process. He said that, it is only when you exercise your franchise that you can complain of bad governance.
He said Nigerians should not continue to sit on the fence and do nothing but lament.

“Please go and register and obtain your permanent voters card(PVC). Parents we urge you to encourage your children who are 18 years and above to go and register and obtain their PVC. We need to change the narrative and that can only with a firm resolve to participate in this on going electoral process by registering to be eligible to vote. We must all be involved in the quest to build a new Nigeria that will work for everybody regardless of creed,tribe and religious affiliation. The time is now, go and obtain your PVC.Ensure that you know the political ward your residence falls into because that will inform the polling booth that will be assign to you on your PVC.” Prince Okwara said

The attack on the Catholic Bishop of Owerri Diocese, Archbishop Anthony Obinna by thugs of the Imo State governor is no doubt sacrilegious and highly condemn-able. However, a public Affairs commentator, Kwento Maduabuchi has described it as karma at work.

Speaking in an interview with irukkanews, he said that both the Archbishop and Governor Okorocha are reaping what they sowed by spreading news that Ikedi Ohakim as Imo governor flogged and detained a catholic priest. According to him, when Ikedi Ohakim was the governor of Imo State and his power drunk dispatch riders forcefully evicted a Catholic priest from the road where the governor was about to pass and detained him for one hour without the knowledge of the governor .

He said when Ohakim got wind of what happened, he rushed to Bishop Obinna to apologize over the unfortunate incident but the man of God locked him out. According to him, all the efforts made by the governor to explain the true position of things to the bishop and the Catholic community in Imo State proved abortive as a standing order was given from the diocese that nobody should listen to him.

Maduabuchi said that the false news that Governor Ohakim flogged and detained a priest began to spread until it filtered into the ears of Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka who without any investigation turned it into a song which spread like wild fire. According to him, based on the propaganda, during the Imo State governorship debate, students of Imo State University were mobilized to go and boo the governor ,which they gladly did.

He said at the end, Ohakim lost the debate and also the governorship election. The Public commentator said that it was later that father Mbaka did proper investigation of got the facts of what really happened that he invited the former governor to the Adoration ground and apologized to him.

“At the Adoration ground, Father Mbaka had clearly told Ohakim that those behind his travail,the same thing would go back to them,even the Archbishop who refused to tell the people the truth of what happened,that Ohakim was no where near the scene of the arrest and detention of the priest.He had specifically told the former governor that what they had measured to him would be measured back to them.Today,what are we seeing in Imo State? The same Okorocha why hyped the false accusation and benefitted from the evil plot is now attacking Bishop Obinna who knew the truth but refused to say it and as the evil plot led to Ohakim`s down fall,it would also lead to Rochas Okorocha’s political down fall.”

The Divisional Police Officer of Igando has slumped and died in a hospital located in the area where he had for treatment. A credible sources told Irukkanews that the DPO had a dislocation on his right hand and had gone to the hospital for treatment and on getting there, the doctor on duty on duty gave him an injection and he collapsed and died on the spot.

When the news of his death got to the police station, the policemen on duty rushed to the hospital and arrested the doctor who is currently in detention.

However, irukkanews entertainment crew who went to town to seek the opinion of music lovers with regard to the song came back with the report that the song did not measure up to the other of his songs. According to the report, Davido who won most of the coveted awards at the 2018 Sound City MVP award-African Artist of the Year as well as song and video of the year, must have falling from Olympian height.

Music lovers are of the view that there is a clear difference between the quality of the hit song If and his latest, flora my flawa. According to them, what makes a star is consistence, adding that it is too early in the day for Davido to start losing form. According to Shola Bamgbose, Davido must not think that he can drop anything and his teeming fans would swallow it.

He said that the problem with the music star could be pride. According to him, once pride gets into an artist's head,the next thing is decline in performance

"I am one of the fans of Davido and I have listened to the song. My candid opinion is disappointment. Davido must have done the song in a hurry. The music industry is a very sensitive one that one mistake can ruin an entire career.

It is not an industry that you can do whatever you want and get away with it. We don’t have the type of fans we have in the game of football in the music industry. In football, there is fanaticism. Fans support their teams in good times and in bad times but in music, nobody supports a singer that is not coming out with good songs. If you are not consistent, your fans would leave you. That is why these young stars should always forget stardom so that they would be humble to do good music”.

As the 2019 general election draws near, the question on everybody minds in Ogun State is who can continue with the giant developmental strides which the governor has made in the state. A lot potential aspirants are already jostling for this position, which has been zoned to Ogun West senatorial zone of the state.

To ensure that a credible candidate emerges, a political organization, Non Yoruba Indigenes in Ogun State All Progressives Congress(APC), has joined in the search. According to the chairman of the organization in Ogun and Southwest states, Chief Dr Chris Orie, Governor Amosun`s shoe is not for every Tom, Dick or Harry. He said as partners in progress in the development of the state, they want a candidate that would fit perfectly into the governor`s shoe and continue with the good work he is doing.
According to him, Non Yoruba Indigenes in Ogun APC would do its own screening of candidates and support the best.

He said that what is needed in the state is somebody that would continue from where the governor would stop and not somebody who would come to reverse the development that is currently going on in the state. According to him, in searching for the candidate that would fit into the governor's big shoe, they would also be looking for somebody whose philosophy is in tandem with that of the governor.

To ensure that their votes count at the election, he said that they have started sensitizing the non indigenes living in the state on the importance of getting their voters cards. He said they have appointed coordinators in all the wards with the mandate of ensuring that the non indigenes in their neighborhood have voters cards. According to him, he is very optimistic that in 2019, non Yoruba indigenes would help to determine who wins the governors and other elections in Ogun State in particular and Southwest States in general.

Imo State indigenes have described the decision of Gov. Rochas Okorocha,fondly called okoro-awusa to support his son-in-law,Uche Nwosu to succeed him in 2019 as mere hallucination. According to them, what Okorocha should know is that Imo state is not an emirate.

Speaking while reacting to the development, the President of Imo Peoples Assembly(IPA),nPrince Ignatius Ozaraebuka said that for entertaining the thought that his son-in-law would succeed him, Gov. Okorocha is indeed living in fools paradise. Prince Ozaraebuka who hails from the same town with Okorocha said that the governor has been running Imo State like an annex of Rochas Foundation.

However, he said that 2019, would mark the end of everything Okorocha in Imo State, adding that the governor and his entire house hold would be consigned to the dust bin of history. According to him, the governor has been committing a lot of atrocities in the state and getting away with them, simple because the members of the state House of Assembly are his lap dogs. He said that making his son in law the next governor is a fight he can never win. Prince Ozaraebuka said that there is no way Imo indigenes would fold their hands and watch Okorocha build a political dynasty with all the embarrassment and shame he is bringing to the state .

According to him, any time Imo State is in the news, it is always for wrong reasons due to Okorocha`s follies.
He said if Okorocha is in tune with reality, he would have know that Igbo land does not support god fatherism, let alone political dynasty. According to him, Okorocha still thinks that Imo State is the emirate that he was born and bred in the north. He said the governor should stop using Imo state for reality show and wait for his tenure to elapse so that he would pack and leave state for good.

"Gov. Okorocha has lost touch with reality. He thinks that Imo State is like the emirate that he was born and bred in the north, where the emir and members of his family constitute the ruling class. If he has sense of history, he would have known that Igbo land devours god fathers because of our republican nature. So, he is just living in fools paradise.

He has been committing all manner of atrocities in the state and getting away with them because the people that we have in the Imo State House of Assembly are his lap dogs. But making his son in law the next governor of Imo state is an impossibility which he, himself knows. So, he is just creating controversies to get attention. You know that he likes publicity. The other day, he said that he was the most popular governor in Nigeria. He don’t even know the difference between being popular and being notorious.”

Ahead of the 2019 governorship election in Ogun State, a political organization, Non Yoruba Indigenes in Ogun State, All Progressives Congress(APC), has appealed to the indigenes of Yewa district to put their house in order if they want to produce the successor to incumbent governor Ibikunle Amosun. The chairman of the group in Southwest geo-political zone, Chief Dr Chris Orie decried the situation whereby, instead of the people of Ogun West closing ranks, they are engaging in top ranking and pull him down syndrome.

According to him, what is giving rise to the people of Ogun East and Central expressing interest in the governorship in 2019 is because they have seen that Yewa indigenes are not united. He said even though everybody in Ogun State with conscience knows that it is the turn of Ogun West to produce the governor in 2019, power is taken and not given. According to him, in order to take power, they must be united.

He said that anything other than that, the governorship may elude them in 2019. According to him, Governor Ibikunle Amosun is serious about power rotating to Ogun West in 2019. However, he said the people of Ogun west State should try to put their house in order.

According to him, opportunity works better when there is preparedness, adding that Yewa indigenes must prepare themselves for the opportunity which the governor and other good people of Ogun State want to give to them by coming together and speaking with one voice. Chief Orie said that if a promise is made, it behooves on the promised to work towards the actualization of the promise.

"2019 governorship election is around the corner and there is a consensus that the next governor of Ogun State should come from Yewa district. The governor is seriously working to actualize this gentle man agreement. But in Ogun West senatorial zone as I speak, the center can no longer hold, they are in disunity.

Instead of putting their house in order, they are pulling it down and tearing it apart. This I want to say is not a good omen, in the Bible, there are passages where God has made promises to people but when he discovered that the people for whom the promises were made were not prepared to receive the promise, he would give the promise to other people that are ready. So, the people of Yewa should shelve their individual ambitious and come together so that they would begin to speak with one voice.

Non Yoruba Indigenes Empowerment Initiative (NYIEI), has commended the governor of Ogun State ,Ibikunle Amosun for the release of 60 prisoners. The prisoners were released from Sagamu, Ilaro and Abeokuta prisons, all in Ogun State to mark the governor's 60th birthday.

Commenting on the governor's milk of kindness, the chairman of the organization, Chief Dr Chris Orie said that the act was a demonstration of governor Amosun's human face administration. According to him, since Governor Amosun came on board, he had made improvement in the quality of life of Ogun state residents top priority. He said that even the less privileged in the state have witnessed a new lease of life due to the governor's kindness.

According to him, the released prisoners should try to reciprocate the governor's kind gesture by being of good behavior and law abiding. He advised them to put all their thoughts and energies in the vocational training which the governor has promised them so that they would become useful to themselves, families and the world at large. According to him, that somebody has gone to prison does not mean that it is the end of the world, adding that with hard work, dedication, focus and being law abiding, they would still achieve their dreams on earth.

He tasked the governor on the de-congestion of the prisons in the state so that the prisons would begin to live like human beings.

Against the backdrop of the claim by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mustafa Boss that President Muhammadu Buhari's re-election is the shortest cut to a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction in 2023, Igbo youths have said that they prefer good governance to a president from their extraction.

Speaking in a telephone interview with irukkanews, the President of Igbo Youths Initiative, Prince Alexander Ezeobi said that what most Nigerians want is the person that would improve their living conditions irrespective of where he comes from. According to him, the world has gone beyond the extraction where the president comes from. He said assuming that President Buhari is doing well, Igbo youths would have supported his re-election.

However, he said that those who are saying that Buhari would hand over to an Igbo person if he is re-elected in 2019 is either that they are trying to deceive the Igbo or they don’t know about Buhari`s legendary hatred of the Igbo race. He wondered how a president who did not consider the Igbo fit enough to be appointed among the security chiefs would consider them fit for presidency. According to him, the last thing Buhari would do in life is to hand over to an Igbo person,adding that he cannot even do it at gun point.

He said that using 2023 Igbo presidency as a tool to make Igbos vote for Buhari in 2019 would not work. According to him, Igbos are too wise to be deceived by that. He said that those who want Buhari to stay beyond 2019, upon all the atrocities that his kinsmen, the Fulani herdsmen are committing are the biggest enemies of the country. Ezeobi said that what is currently going in the country today is just a tip of what would happen if President Buhari is re-elected in 2019. He said that all hands must be on deck to stop the armggedon that would befall ,should Buhari win second term.

"The APC has started again with their lies. They now want to use 2023 presidency to deceive Igbos into voting for Buhari. This is a party that has become notorious for breaking campaign promises. Whoever wants Buhari to continue in power beyond 2019 upon what is going on in the country now is an enemy.

Left to us, he should resign now and go home, But we know that he would not, so we are waiting for 2019 to send him packing. What the Igbo youths want is a president who would see the whole country as his constituency. A president who would give all the components parts of the country sense of belonging. A president that would provide jobs and security for the youths and other Nigerians and not one whose people would be using Nigeria as a killing field. Buhari must go and leave us alone .He has done enough harm to our people.

The chairman of the organization in South west zone, Chief Dr Chris Orie in a statement that was made available to the media described Governor Amosun as a visionary leader who has transformed the length and breadth of Ogun State with good governance and inspirational leadership.

According to him, Governor Amosun`s giant developmental strides in the areas of education, health, Agriculture and security remain unparalleled in the history of governance in the state. He said though Ogun State is not among the oil producing states, Amosun`s rich experience in the private sector as well as his prudence with funds have ensured that the state continues in the path of progress ,in spite of the global economic down turn.

Chief Orie said that since Governor Amosun came into office in 2011, there has been a remarkable improvement in the standard of living of Ogun State residents, better treatment of the non Yoruba indigenes as well as more friendly business environment for all and sundry.

According to him, humility in service, prudence in management and utilization of scarce resource and fairness in the distribution of developmental projects are some of the legacies that posterity will continually remember the governor.
