The Cityzens were confirmed champions after Leicester City defeated Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford.

This means Aguero has now won the Premier League title five times which is more than any other South American player in the competition’s history.

He first won his first Premier League title in 2012 and did same in 2014 before adding three more titles in 2018, 2019 and 2021.

UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has made a plea to UEFA to hold this season’s Champions League final between Manchester City and Chelsea in England.

UEFA have no immediate plans to change the venue away from Istanbul, despite Turkey being placed on the UK’s ‘red list’.

This means that Chelsea and City supporters face a possible ten days’ costly hotel quarantine on return from their trip for the May 29 finals.

And that has led to calls from Johnson to stage the final in England, with the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, St James’ Park and the Emirates all seen as a possible replacement.
