IamPatriotic: Are Nigeria Soldiers the new Bokoharam? In northeast, soldiers fight to save civilians, In Eastern Nigeria, Soldiers shot and kill unarmed civilians. Why should the army be agent of destabilization? When Ogoni declared Independence in 2013, no civilian was killed, when Biafrans took over Enugu Government house in 2013/14, no civilian was killed. Pray tell Nigerians what system the government then used to suppress the agitation without bloodshed? 5 Likes |

modath: The first paragraph in your "choose and pick" screenshot reads: But just as the battle rages for the soul of the Niger Delta, some eyewitnesses who saw the arrest of the 10 “suspects”, have revealed that just like the five Chevron contract workers who were found innocent and released, those who were picked up last Saturday were just workers in the area. 1 Like |

Mynd44: Is this what your professors taught you in School? You know what, everything Seun told me to allow as right to free expression is what you are contradicting so far on this thread. I have correspondents to support the claims. What exactly has changed? Who is after Seun's business should he dance contrary to his tune. If my memory serves me right, I warned all who cared to listen that Buhari and his regime will come heavily on Nairalanders freedom of expression should he win and the prophesy is fulfilled before us all. What is your problem sef? Didn't you hear Buhari acknowledged the lopsidedness in the first appoint for which he promised to correct in the sequent appointments and then we have another full Northernization announced. |

airsaylongcon: Ordinarily, Akwaibom, Cross River and Ondo States are not part of the Niger Delta you alluded. NDDC (Niger Delta Development Commission) covers both Abia and Imo States and you still think this way? |

Sen. Heneiken Lokpobiri; coordinator, Amnesty Programme, Brigadier General Paul Boroh (rtd), and stakeholders from the seven Niger Delta states of Edo, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Delta and Ondo states. Even when Cross River is no longer Oil Producing State was included while Imo and Abia States were not mentioned. We call it systematic marginalizatiion and exclusion. 4 Likes |

tonio2wo: I have personally used it (off station) for giant double 1HP compressors, double door freezer and Fridge compartments with 21" television, fan and 4 bulbs. Procedure: Off everything in the house, start the Generator, allow it to run a minute, on the refrigerator and give it a minute then put other appliances on. With the above appliances, it consumes 3.3 litres in 6 hours per day amounting to 100 litres per month. For debate sake, do the calculation using 50 litres per month for the very poor enlightened Nigerians. |

tonio2wo: Maybe you had reasonable NEPA supply to supplement, which is another budget altogether. With small refrigerator, TV, sound system plus 3 light bulbs, 650Kw Generator will consume 3.3 litres in six hours each day amounting to 100 litres per month. |

The greatest foolishness ever done by the 8th Senate is declaring an economic policy of Federal Government a Fraud. Is CBN rationing of dollar to Buharians not the greatest fraud ever in 21st century? Who is probing the recipients? This is a government policy and there is nothing fraudulent about the policy unless something runs against ethics. |

Abagworo: Exactly how much subsidy debt is owed. 4th May, 2015 Punch reports that Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala says the government owes marketers N131 billion, however; the marketers insist that they are still being owed N200bn after last week’s payment of N154 billion. A meeting is scheduled to hold today in which Okonjo-Iweala and the marketers discuss the disagreement, and hopefully reach a resolution. Speaking on the issue, Executive Secretary, Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, Thomas Olawore, told newsmen that “the government had paid N154.2 billion out of the N354.4 bilion it owed the independent and major marketers as well as the depot owners, leaving a balance of N200.2 billion.” However, the Finance Minister stated,“as you know, we paid N156bn recently, N100bn of the principal payment that we owe them and then we paid N56bn interest rate and some remaining exchange rate differentials. Prior to that, we had just paid N31bn exchange rate differentials. So, at the time we paid that last week, what we had outstanding was N98bn.”As of now, since we made the announcement last week, it has now risen from N98bn to N131bn outstanding in principal payment. And they are now making a demand of N200bn and I ask them what is the balance for?” Olawore further stated “We will explain to her that it is N200.2bn. The PPPRA is there as the middle party and will be able to establish the truth based on the agreed template.” https://www.bellanaija.com/2015/05/fg-petrol-marketers-disagree-on-outstanding-subsidy-debt-finance-minister-to-meet-with-marketers-today/ 1 Like 1 Share |

Go back to school to learn before quoting references without knowledge. Government borrowed to pay salaries because the 2014 budget ended March, 2015 and 2015 budget wasn't yet signed. You forgot the same government paid fuel importers N200 billion. $5 billion LNG royalty was still in the bank. Abagworo: 27 Likes 2 Shares |

The only mistake in this judgment that renders it null and void is applying it to Dr Iweala instead of Finance Ministry. The judgment can't be obeyed since Iweala is no longer in the services of FG. |

Children who were even being spoon fed during Orji Kalu's first term are just spewing nonsense. Pray tell me, a better governor and manager than Kalu 1999 - 2003. We know his ambition for Presidency did much harm than good to Abia State in his second term, when OBJ refused to return Abia Oil wells from Rivers State, ceasing State allocation in the name of servicing debt incurred from Old Imo State and Orji's lack of concentration leading to her mother being a nuisance to governance. If I were to judge him by his first term in office, he was simply excellent, the Governor with a vision that knows how to execute it. 14 Likes |

Shell came to reclaim Shell Camp because they want to relocate their headquarters back to Imo State. The company wants to concentrate on gas exploration & production and since they have their highest Gas cache in Ohaji, Imo State, their concentration is now geared towards building the largest Gas Company in Africa there. 1 Like |
