jaskinbo: @jcaribie,thank you so much. Am going to ask for a date I want in the email I will send?Goodluck Bro |
jaskinbo: LagosLagosStudentVisas@state.gov Make sure you book a normal appointment before requesting for an ED. |
jaskinbo: What's their email addressIs your interview in ABJ or LAG? |
jaskinbo: Hello my people, pls I need your urgent response. I filled the emergency appointment for online and got it submitted yesterday but they haven't reply me yet. I want to know if that form is the only thing I should do or do I have to sent them an emailSend them an email asking for an ED. In the email, state your SEVIS ID NUMBER, resumption date, course name and school code. Attach your I20 as proof. You'll hear from them within 72 hours at most. Goodluck |
jaskinbo: Hello my people......pls can emergency date be granted for someone that recently got denied like myself?Yes you can... send them an email and attach your I20. Happened to my relative as well |
conyema12: Hi guys whats the procedure for applying emergency Visa interview? Since my school has insisted i wait for the I-20 they sent thru usps which incidentally joined a snail ride.Email the embassy and ask for an emergency date. Attach a soft copy of your I20 as proof of your starting date. Include your sevis id, name of school and course in the email. they will respond to your email either granting your request or declining it. Goodluck bro |
xteeeee: Pls after submitting my application I am seriouly in need of cash can I withdraw from my maintenance feesIt is not advisable, because if it will bring the balance below the stipulated amount by UKBA, it will disrupt your 28days counting and you might have to start counting all over again and maybe fall below the stipulated sum. I'll advise that you source for alternative funds and when your visa come out, you can draw any money from that account. |
Hey Guys...: want to thank everyone in the house for the pieces of advice and information. My relative got his visa today. Please note that he was denied twice in September, as he went with an i20 belonging to a community college, after which he got admission into Valparaiso Uni, into a four year programme. V.O: Goodmorning Guy: Goodmorning ma. V.O: 1. What course are you going to study? Guy: medicine, and biomed is foundation to studying medicine V.O: 2. What degree are you going for? Guy: Ans: am going for an undergraduate degree V.O: 3. You have applied twice and now you are applying to a different school, why? Guy: I was adviced to apply into a 4 year programme in a proper university because community colleges aren't really considered to be serious schools. V.O: 4. Why the us? Guy: cos it's scientifically advanced in terms of medical research. V.O: why Valparaiso? Guy: bla bla bla V.O: did you take any SATs? Guy: Yes ma'am. Hand SATs and TOEFL test scores. V.O: who is sponsoring? And what does the person do? Guy: bla bla bla V.O: Ok, your visa would be ready...bla bla bla. LoL! Meen... Prayer and patience is the key guys. Thanks to everyone for the answers and support. |
domex007: Wow! Congrat to all who got their visas. This month is going to be a great month for us seeking f-1 visa. Amen.Amen! |
xteeeee: Hello, after filling the appendix 8 there is an instruction below that states as follows "ensure also to complete the personal detail form VAF9 either on paper or online" so with this is it still important to submits the VAF9yes, but online |
Geeluat: So, I can't go to UK without having a registered company?.. Any other way around it? Maybe a visiting Visa then buy what's needed and rush back home?basically you have to show that you have a job or a business that will cause you to return to naija |
Geeluat: No I don'tuh oh! that's going to be a problem. |
Geeluat: Hello @ Justwise and VicJustice,Visitors Visa |
abbey621: This is what I hate about Nigerians, mixing apples and oranges in order to make a point. Bro stop it! Her result says not available, it never said canceled or invalid. I told you I called ETS and spoke to someone in charge, as of now, they are currently reviewing all scores from Nigerian test takers over the last few months. Until ETS informs my friend that the result is not valid or informs the school, I refuse to be drawn into mere speculation, you have no authority on this matter, your opinion while noble remains nothing but an opinion until you call ETS yourself and verify things, don't call me confused, I find that very insulting!lol ![]() |
Walspring: You can get it at your nearest local government where they have primary health center. Maybe u go to general hospital and find out and they can direct you to the nearest place u can get it.is a yellow card important? n whts it for? |
Walspring: Yes bro since SAT is there. thnx. |
Walspring: Since he wrote SAT he can take that along as the only test he did provided he meet the cut off for the school he applied to. Some school require 450 upward for SAT result/score on each sections.lol.. ok. prayer is the key. so no need to bring out the TOEFL then? |
Walspring: As for me i will say it immdiately VO ask me if i take any test and my reply will be yes i did and i printed the result out 3 months ago which is september..... Blah blah blah...Ai bro, thanks. Luckily for him, he wrote SAT as well. And he has the score card for that too. |
Walspring: I will advise them to tell VO that i wrote the test some months ago and i printed out my result then but for some weeks now i have issues in checking the result online again due to ETS review on the recent tests.thnx bro. another thing is, should he say it before he hands the test scores to the VO, or should he say it, only when he is asked why his result cannot be viewed? |
Ricky Rozay: Okay bro. I wish you and your friend success @ the embassy!!!bro, anyone who wrote the test in the last four months have had their scores termed as "unavailable". question is, for those who still have hard copies of their test scores, and who have their interviews next week, what do they do/say about it, esp to the vo? definitely, u cant say u didn't write the test, and obviously you don't go on and on telling the vo about ETS' recent action. So it's either they submit the test scores or not. hope u understand sha... its not an easy decision to make. |
warrikid: I feel u man,m wit it. Buh I'll be long gone when sh!It hits d fan.IELTS and TOEFL can be used in either countries. The universities in the UK and US have their methods of converting the scores. |
omo, this toefl thing serious. knw a relative who's got an interview next Wednesday. house, what do u suggest the person does? cos ETS may not be able to do anything before Wednesday. luckily for my relative, he still has a copy of his TOEFL results till now. house whats the take on this one? cheers.. should he act like he doesn't know what's going on? cos he took his TOEFL in September as well. |
Vicjustice: It seems you have not been following his post and therefore you are giving him advice on the situation that you are not familiar with.My brother, I'm sorry. I didn't read the full story: just read it now. I take back the advice. He actually has been banned for 10 years. |
Ms Nas: You still are not getting my point? You said the VO said to bring your parents so that they can talk about their business, right? Your case is different from his so do NOT generalize. My friend's sister, who is 15 got her Visa Last week and she appeared without her parents. So what are you talking about? If you read my earlier thread, you will see where I wrote the words "my advice". So why stress over spilled milk. We're all trying to help. |
Vicjustice: The consequence for "DECEIT" is a 10 years ban, I am stating this according to the rule; but by what rule are you saying that "he'll be fine"? This is only by hope.I'm not asking him to deceive them. I said he should go and swear to an affidavit along with his dad. How is that deceit bro? |
Vicjustice: Why are you encouraging him to get into a fight that he can never win? He has been banned for 10 years, therefore, your advice is invalid. Please, take no offence at this, the truth has to be said.He will. One thing about the UKBA is honesty and evidence. He'll be fine. |
dahfweshdude69: 4year degree...thanks for helpingOkay cool. then you have no problem. Just go with your parents. Thats my advice. ![]() |
Ms Nas: Bros, what sort of advice are you giving? Where did they write Bring Your Parents? When I went for my interview, u saw kids who came with their parents and some who didn't. Most of them got their visa application approved. Some came with their parents, but their parents didn't approach the VO with them.Ms Nas, if you did read what I said, I mentioned that it was my experience. I was denied twice... the second time I was denied, the VO told me I was denied cos I didnt bring my parents, and she gave me the white paper.lol she said "we would like to talk to your parents about their business etc". So, I'm not blabbing. I'm just giving her an advice which I believe is 99.9% likely to work...cos I was in her shoes. no cast me na.. and the thing is, it is not for the parents to answer questions for the child. speak when youre spoken to-rule no.101.lolzzzz. na the pikin battle, but the parents get the war. |
dahfweshdude69: he asked me How I knew about Cameron.. I told him collegeboard n d internet.. I checked out their profile on collegeboard...he then asked me what year I graduated from sec school..I told him last year.. then he asked for my SAT N TOEFL SCORES and later asked for my statement of result from secondary school.. he returned it and asked who was going to sponsor me..I told him my dad and he asked for his bank statement.. checked something on his pc n told me he wasn't going to give me visa. :-'( ...gave me a paper to read and told me I was refused because my denial was under section of can't proof a strong tie to my foreign country. My dear, you did well. You have to go with both of your parents. Also, is your programme a 2 year degree or a 4 year degree |
[quote author=Find Out!]"I had a fast education and when I graduated from high school earlier than expected, my parents felt I was too young to get into the university. So I took up vocational courses (she could mention sewing/catering) and pre-college classes, and also devoted my time to prepare adequately for the SAT and TOEFL". what did the school ask for |
dahfweshdude69: on my I-20 I was informed that since am 17 I should go for d interview on my own.. I went with his tax clearance n CAC certificate... but d guy didn't ask for it.. only his bank statement..I gained admission to Cameron university.Did they write "GO ON YOUR OWN"? lol.. the legal age of maturity in Nigeria is 18. the embassy works with that. I am speaking out of experience. It doesnt hurt if you go with your parents, okay? You'll get it. and what questions did they ask you? Also, is your programme a two or four year programme? |
dahfweshdude69: yeah am under 18...yeah my dad is sponsoring me and I went along with his bank statement... my SAT N TOEFLAnyone under 18 has to go with both parents...as they will like to ask your parents some questions and note that they have consented to your going to the US. if its a proper university/4year college that you applied to, you wont have a problem, but if it was a community college, I suggest that you change it. Reapply, prepare again and go with your parents(they must also be prepared). Your dad must also go with his tax clearance certificate, and his CAC certificate(if he runs a business or organisation). Do not mention that you have a sister in Oklahoma, unless they ask. tell them what they ask u. dont under talk or over talk, and u will be fine. apply for an emergency date in abuja, or check for dates in lagos first. |

thnx.
