If you’re unlucky and your name comes up on the HMRC random audit list then you will have to explain every income that passes through your account. Paying taxes on the income should be the least of your worries, it could also be categorised under money laundering depending on the magnitude.
The bottom line is that if you receive regular income from abroad you will need to declare it to save yourself from bother in the future. A lot of people get away with it but you might not be so lucky.

If I decide to declare it for tax how many percent will I be charged as per the tax rate? Will it be taxed as a second job?

Good evening house, I have a question. Will I be taxed if I receive a certain amount from abroad every month either as salary or as normal money sent into my UK account?

Congrats man. Did your status change on your tracker to "application transferred to VAC" or it was still showing "application at DMC" until u collected your passport today.

And were u sent a mail to come pick it up today or u just went to the office on your own and found it there?

It was transferred to the VAC on the tracker before I went to the office. An email was sent to me before I went to the office.

Applied for visa in March before lockdown after all the waiting and delay, I finally for my visa today.

Tier 2 General Visa
90 days entry vignette

It had been issued since the 11th of August, 2020. Thank God I was worrying them and it finally came.

All those still waiting, yours will come out this week.

Anyone who applied in March and waiting for their passport to be returned?

Can you track your application to know if it has been transferred to the VAC?

Maybe they have started returning passports too.

I will advise those who submitted their application prior to lockdown to visit tls contact. A close relative submitted passport in March and was expecting the pick up mail. After many days of no information, out of frustration, we visited tls yesterday (Tuesday) only to discover that the passport is ready for pick-up.

Prior to this, we had sent many mails even using the paid mail service last week and they told us to wait for 15 working days that our complaint was being escalated.

This may be relevant.

What time in March did the person go for biometrics?

Please how did you get information that a decision has been made on your application?

Via their paid contact service. I had to call them on the phone.

I don't know if this applies to those of us who have gotten a decision but yet to get their passport/visa.

For those people who applied post lockdown and got their visas for Tier2, 4, 5. Were you guys given 30days vignettes or 90 days?

I think the reason why the UKVI is yet to give us our passport would be because they don’t have the 90 days vignettes ready. Since it is a sensitive and security document, and also a lot of people are requesting for this document.
Maybe just maybe. I hope it as I have written.

ss2020:

Please What's the approximate naira equivalent they charge for a paid email enquiry?
Judging from your post, it seems u have sent mail to them twice now

Mine is still "application received by DMC"
Date of biometric capture was march 18th

Mine is 19th, decision made but still at DMC. Told to wait for 15 working days to get it. I don't understand this kind of incompetency or bias. Somebody that applied on the 28th of July will get their documents while you that applied before lockdown and already has a decision would wait extra 15 working days. I no blame them sha.
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by johnez1987: 2:53pm On Aug 24, 2020
I think all those that have their application still at the DMC and gotten a message that a decision has been made are plenty.

I am just wondering why one would have to wait 15 working days to collect a passport that a decision has already been made. These people just want to torment us.

I don't think there is any other valid reason why it should be happening. After all, many of us paid huge fees for priority service, IHS, visa fees, walk-in service, assisted service etc. The least we deserve is to get out documents when due. This is not funny anymore.

Taking a decision on our application is now very difficult cos some of our supporting documents may no longer be valid. And their reason for travel is no longer feasible. The 5months break has changed a lot. Myself for example applied for a business training that was to hold ending of march/beginning of April. That has long passed, so its not easy for them to decide whether to grant or not to grant.
For the new guys applying, their own is straightforward and much easier.
Anyway am still hopeful to get my visa. My training will be rescheduled. For now no new date has even been fixed

Does supporting documents for a Tier 2 visa apply expire or become invalid? If it becomes then it is nobody’s fault. They should not treat it like it’s our fault. I have had to resign because of the job and it’s not been easy.

Hello, is there any one who did biometrics before lockdown whose application got sent to VAC this week?

I don’t know what is happening. Those who did biometrics before lockdown have not gotten a decision while those that did in July are getting. Is this not madness?
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by johnez1987: 2:50pm On Aug 18, 2020
I do not understand what UKVI is actually doing. Those with existing application before lockdown are being ignored while new applications are decided. What kind of services are these people rendering? I am tired of the non-coordination on their part. This is bollocks!!!

I obviously know what a GWF is, that’s why I asked. Same as posting your passport no online. What can someone possibly do with your GWF no or passport no? Absolutely nothing!!

You all overthink things unnecessarily.

Someone can use your GWF number to cancel your visa application. They can also use it to track your application if you choose to use courier service for return.

Those of you that have gotten Tier 2 visas post July 27th. What is the occupation you got the visa for? Cos i feel like they expedite applications for those in the medical & health field.

there are two ways to check the status and application progress.
1. Download tlscontact app - track my application on play store. In the app just input your surname, country u applied to and your passport number. It will bring out your application progress and tell u what stage u are currently on
2. Go to your inbox. There is a mail they sent to you during the application registration from uk visa. Login thru that link and navigate thru it. U will be later redirected to tlscontact website where u can see your application details. From there u can track your application status

Thanks I got it.

[quote author=mimilyrics Goodmorning NairaLanders! I did my biometrics on the 19th of March before the lockdown. Tracked my application on the 30th of July and saw this! no email notification till date. Does it mean that visa was granted ? Just curious, I was told by a friend that also submitted before the lockdown that he got refusal via email. Is that the new norm to send refusal via email ? Has anyone experienced this before ? Hopefully I will get an email notification for pickup by next week.
What link did you use to check this? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

They will start attending to those awaiting decision from the 27th of July. From what I saw on linkedin

TLS contact and UKVI will start accepting new applications from week of the 27th of July, 2020. That means pending applications will be sorted and also new applications will be accepted.

Please how can that be done?

Things you need:
- copies of your transcript,
- certificate from a tertiary institution
- A letter showing that English language was the mode of teaching in the tertiary institution
Things you would do:
- You will register on their website (https://www.naric.org.uk/visas%20and%20nationality/how%20to%20apply.aspx)
- upload those documents
- make payment with your credit/debit card
- select mode of shipping the assessment certificate back to you. I will suggest choosing the option of DHL for sending the assessment certificate back to you.
