Note: You might think this is a joke, its fact. If you think am wrong, just wait and find out for yourself, the future is 1 seconds away.

According to Wikipedia, Nigeria has a population of 177,155,754. There are lots of successful startups in Nigeria, e.g. konga, jumia, VOGUEPAY, e.t.c

Now Nigeria still remains a hub for most
entrepreneurs and investors. In fact, Nigeria is now the largest economy in Africa, the number one destination for Foreign Direct Investment in Africa and one of the growing economies in the world.

The world is changing subtly, but fast, more than 2.4 billion people use the internet every day, and some 90% of those have purchased something, or contacted a company, online in the last 12 months.

The truth is that Nigeria is changing, there are more mobile users now with internet enable phones as you can get 1GB for as low as 500 from MTN NewPulse. In a family of 5 people(including mother and father) in Nigeria, there are at least 2 laptops and 4 smartphones. 10 Million people use the internet daily in Nigeria.

Smart entrepreneurs are taking the initiative and taking their businesses online, but some still see it as an unnecessary leisure, extravagance... or something for later.

The C.E.O of Nokia refused to bend with change, forgetting that the world is a ever evolving global village.
During the press conference to announce NOKIA being acquired by Microsoft, Nokia CEO ended his speech saying this “we didn’t do anything wrong, but somehow, we lost”. Upon saying that, all his management team, himself included, cried sadly.
This is what happen when you place money first, not minding your reputation and how your customers will feel.

Take the initiative now, move your business online, join the category of entrepreneurs that make the right choice. If you already have one, maintain it, monetize it,...and please follow recent trends.

why you should get a website:
1. 2.4 Billion people use the internet, and Nigeria has 10 million daily internet users.
2. Owning a website increases your credibility.
3. You can sell your products/services from your website.
4. Websites are online 24 hours a day,7days a week even when you sleep.
5. Getting a website increase your business value and influence.
6. Easy communication with customers.
7. As user aid, product documentation or online brochure.
8. Own a customized email address.
9. You can display your product and services on your website for the whole world to see.
10. Virtual environment for your business.

Conclusion:
Well, what do you think now? am I right or wrong. Reply this thread let me know what you think.
Get a website, acquire online presence for your business.

You can get websites from N9,999. Contact me so i can help you put up one or if you can't afford that, use Word Press or blog ger.

Yet on Africa's self proclaimed largest forum we only've one female programmer.
A nairalander opened a thread some months back stating he was looking for a female programmer to work with, all the responses he got were from males.

Yes and this is very sad. Let's try and make more females become developers by encouraging them. Teach them, show it to them...or you can just refer them to the link I provided
Programming / 10 Reasons You Would Find A Female Programmer More Refreshing by joshjimie(m): 10:42pm On Jul 16, 2016
ill try to make this as short as possible, please nothing in this post say or mean I am trying to say boys are better than girls or vice versa.

below are reasons you need a female programmer in your team" cry

Note: contest this if you think otherwise.

1. Its just awesome!
Have you seen a female programmer? I mean a real ones not a wanna be! they gat style, you just cant help but stare, Google glass, headset, e.t.c. Even the ones that can only write "hello world".

2. Female programmers are competitive:
Women feel they have a point to prove, when you teach them something, they Strive to be better at it than you, and they will if you don't practice. You want that spirit of competition, expecially where efficiency, accuracy and speed is important.

3. She makes other programmers express male ego:
Once there is a girl in the team, every one is hardworking, I experienced this myself. I had a team of eleven guys and a girl i gathered last year, the girl missed the first two meetings,....the third was very different, more interesting ideas came and some guys wanted to even do more work than they initially said they could in the first two meetings! Wow cry

4. She can multi task:
Women can multi task better, ever heard the quote "multitask like a woman", women are good at this.

5. She sees thing in a different perspective:
Women are more connected to reality, and this is because they think less logically, they are more emotional than men, this doesn't mean they cannot think logically.
Adding a female developer to your team can bring a new angle to your team/company.

6. She radiates:
I was in my guys office last week, I didn't meet him but I waited till he came back. I was with one of his staffs and she had this beautiful smile, she was the assistant there, all the guys were busy, plugged into the coding they were doing. she was working with HTML CSS and she kept me so occupied with conversation, the place felt so alive, I didn't even notice that I waited for 2 hours before my friend came, felt like minutes.

7. She'll bring more recurring/revisiting customers.
For the reason I stated above, naturally you'll want to revisit that place you met a intelligent cute girl with a pretty smile. Won't you, since most programmers are even guys.

8. They have awesome Customer Service:
yes I guess you would agree to this, you would want to be attended to by a lady not a guy if you could choose, plus women are naturally more caring that guys and more sensitive to clients interest.

9. They are more loyal and trustworthy:
It has become common knowledge and its all over Lagos, Benin and abuja,.. in shops, offices..I mean work environments women are usually the ones to collect money from you when you buy something, and there is a reason, women are generally loyal to good, charismatic and reasonable leaders or employers. A girl handles finance for my team and she is very amazing at it, the good part is that she is a developer too, write C programs and web dev.

10. Because you are curious to see for yourself
cry cry cry

N.B:

If you're a lady or you know one, there is a free service that teaches and encourage girls to become developers, there are free materials, video, conferences, tutorials e.t.c.

I like trying out new tech inventions and I was a little bored. A fan of artificial intelligence so I wrote a chatbot using Php, aiml, mysql, and JavaScript for the user interface. Below are some pictures of my chat with it today. Its still relatively dumb. But it implements supervised learning algorithms, thanks yo many open source technology and many years of experience in Php programming language. It think is fun!

Chat with her and tell me what you think, permit me to say, her name is iyabo shocked

Romance / Re: What Will You Do In This Situation by joshjimie(m): 8:27pm On Jul 11, 2016
shocked shocked lolzzzzzzzzz ....the husband should have shot the wife on the legs, close to the laps,..since they didn't say kill. Invase there was actually bullet there. And the wife did as expected. The husband should forgive her. Naturally if she finds herself in the same situation again she wont do that again 79% of the times. His behavior has made her earn his trust so he should maintain it. I think strong and confident people should understand that not everyone is strong and should also take care of the weaker one in their weakness. If I was the husband I would expect her to shot me and respect her if she doest but still love her anyway. If I were the wife well I guess I might have just started crying instead....
