Romance / See Reason Why Women Say This About Men by Jowanonline(m): 7:50am On Jul 09, 2022
I own a saloon and sometimes I close very late and hubby usually come and wait for me. There's a lady I fixed her nails and it was not exactly what she wanted. I told her to come the following day so I can make some adjustments since it was already late. She refused and insisted I do it at once. By the time we finished it was already 11: 43pm. She said her house is very far, and we were not going the same direction. I asked hubby to drop her, he said he doesn't have much fuel. We waited to see if any Keke or bike will come but non, and it was already 12 : 23am. She pleaded with me to sleep in my place I accepted because she has been my customer for some time. We got home around 12: 45 am we moved to bed straight while she was in the kids room.

Note that my kids went to visit my sister so they were not home and she slept alone..at a time in the night I couldn't find hubby on the bed. I thought he was in the rest room, but he wasn't there.

I went to the kitchen but he wasn't there I didn't even remember that we had a visitor, it was when I wanted to pass the lobby that I heard someone whispering softly, followed by a soft cry obviously caused by pleasure.

You know I was still feeling sleepy and couldn't really recollect myself, until I heard Nancy will look for me, the lady said , abeg , abeg. That was when my eyes were fully opened. I pushed the door at once and my husband was fully na''ked on top of this l'ady. Thank God my shock absorber is always close. I remained very calm.

I didn't attack because my mom once told us a story of how her aunt husband beat up his wife along his side chicken. So I maintained.

The lady was not startled. I only said I need answers. Hubby left the room immediately.

The girl said , Tell her the truth.

i am happy to be alive now writing you. Because what I later heard almost took my heart away.

The have been dating, and he was the one who directed her to my shop. I didn't know that all along I have been making my husband's side chick to look good for him. This is a lady we have gisted about everything. There was a day she told me she hasn't eaten since morning, I told one of my worker to go and buy food for her.

They planned everything. She is 3 months pregnant for him.
I'm with my sister, thinking on the next move.
It's now that I know that I'm a strong woman.

God abeg oo.
Please advise her, Don't call name's

Romance / You See Women,fear Them by Jowanonline(m): 10:54am On Jul 07, 2022
I want to share something with you. You see women, fear them.
I dated my wife for four years before I got married to her. All through the relationship I was taking care of she and her family.

I was into crypto. So I was in money. When I got married to her, I told her I don’t want her to work until we have given birth and our child is 5 years old.

So I made her a full time house wife. Every month, I was depositing 20k in her account. I told her not to touch the money, that she will use the money to start a business of her own once our child is 5 years.

I am the one paying all the bills at home. Even pad. I was the one buying for her.

When our son became 2 years, I enrolled him in a private school all bills still on me.

During the crypto crash, I lost a huge sum of money. I decided to use the remaining money and start a business. I have not done business before, so within 6 months, the business started shaking and was on the brisk on collapsing.

I told one of my female friend who was into crypto too and she is also in my line of business, so she schooled me and I needed 1 million to close the loop holes in my business so that the business can bounce back.

I told my wife to borrow me 1 million naira from the money I have been saving in her account for she to start a business once our child gets to 5 years. Can you believe my wife refused?

I taught it was a joke until I checked where we normally keep our ATM card and I noticed she has removed her ATM card from there.

I tried everything to make her give me that money, she refused. Saying it’s now her money and not mine. I begged and begged she refused.

I called her mother and I explained things to her and she said where they come from, it is the man that gives the woman money and take care of the wife and not the other way round.

Oga JB, this is the reason why it is good to marry your tribe girl. I was gradually running into depression.

That my female friend saw it in my countenance and she asked me what the problem was? I just opened upto her and she transferred 2m to my account and told me to pay her back once my business bounced back.

I thanked her so much and within 6 months, I sent her 2.5m as appreciation because my business is now doing well.

I called my wife and I told her since she now has money, henceforth we will be sharing bills in the home. I told her if I pay house rent this year, she will pay the following year. If I pay our child school fees this term, she will pay the following term. If I drop feeding money this week, she will drop next week. She was laughing when I was telling her all these.

It was when the week came for her to feed the family and I left for work without dropping a dime that her eyes cleared. She did not cook throughout that week. Do I care? I was eating at a canteen. I just gave a stern warning that if anything happens to my child, she will have me to contend with.

The following week came, I dropped money. School fees came and when our child stayed at home for 2 weeks because his school fees has not been paid. She was forced to pay.

House rent came. Our rent is 1.5m per annum. She said over her dead body will she pay. I just told her no problem that once they eject us out. I will rent another place and collect my child, so that she can go and stay with her family.

She was forced to pay the rent. And her account balance was now 500k. Now she wants to make peace. Her parents can’t call me because I warned her to tell her parents not to ever call me nor step their foot in my house again because when I asked her for that money, her mother and father supported their daughter.

They can’t even call me because I have blocked and deleted their number for long. I will make sure she exhaust all the money in her account. I will now give her a go ahead to go and start working for her own money.

Even if she starts working, this is how we will be sharing bills in this marriage. I have already told her that if she can’t cope, she should send me divorce papers and I will gladly sign it.

I will rather earn my money and spend it on myself than give this woman my kobo.

That her attitude really opened my eyes. Oga JB had it been I was sick nkor? That was how this woman would have allowed me to die.

I even sent my parents and friends to beg this woman during my business crises, this woman refused.

I have lost love and value for her. I have lost value for marriage too because I did not in my widest imagination think this woman will do this to me.

I have not touched her for almost 2 years now. Am not even a sex person. When she is tired, she will leave this marriage herself

Culture / The Origin Of The Word ‘ìyàwó’,otherwise Known As "WIFE" In English. by Jowanonline(m): 6:56am On Jul 07, 2022
It is unknown to many speakers of the Yorùbá language that the original Yorùbá word for wife is ‘aya’ and not the commonly used ‘Ìyàwó’.

Back in the early years of the Yorùbá people, the word “ Iyawo “did not have a place in the Yorùbá language not until an incident brought about its coinage and usage. Old Nigeria present you the origin of the Yorùbá word Ìyàwó .
Origin of the Yorùbá word Ìyàwó:

Long ago in Yorùbá land, a beautiful princess and daughter of the first king of Iwó town named Wúràọlá was in the quest of getting herself a patient, tolerant and well mannered husband.
Strong and good looking men, the likes of Sàngó, Ògún and others, had already traveled to Iwó town to seek the hand of Wúràọlá in marriage but left not with a wife but uncontrollable anger. Wúràọlá had been rude to everyone of them. In fact, she hurled insults and curses at her suitors which made them all leave on the same day they arrived the town of Iwo because they couldn’t tolerate her bad behaviors.

Ọ̀rúnmìlà, a good looking man, also journeyed to Iwó in the bid to win the hand of Wúràọlá in marriage. But before he set out, he had already consulted Olódùmarè , the supreme being, through Ifá . Olódùmarè revealed to Òrúnmìlà that he must be patient with Wúràọlá and endure her behaviors no matter how bad they are in order to succeed in the quest of marrying Wúràọlá .

When Òrúnmìlà got to the palace of the king of Iwó, he was greeted with a hiss and scornful look by Wúràọlá. The unperturbed Òrúnmìlà smiled and returned her greetings with kind and sweet words and also presented gifts to the king.

Òrúnmìlà stayed in Iwó for seven days which can be described as nothing but a hell on earth. Wúràọlá didn’t serve Òrúnmìlà water let alone food. She insulted the goodness out of Òrúnmìlà but he stayed calm and smiled at her. He even smiled when she used his opon ifa (divination board) as firewood and when she took his pouch (àpò ominijekun) from him. Though, Òrúnmìlà boiled with rage, still, he didn’t show it or leave Iwo according to the instructions of Olódùmarè .
On the sixth day of Òrúnmìlà's stay in Iwó town, the king of Iwó gave Wúràọlá in marriage to him after concluding that he is a patient, kind and tolerant man suitable to marry his daughter. Meanwhile, Wúràọlá's bad behaviors were planned to test her suitors so as to get her a husband with good manners and temper. She was a lovely, caring and well behaved lady. Òrúnmìlà was glad that he heeded to the instructions of Olódùmarè and on the seventh day, he and Wúràọlá journey back to his town.

Òrúnmìlà was welcomed and praised by his townspeople for his achievement. When they asked him about Wuraola, his wife, he responded, “Ìyà tí mo jẹ ní Iwó” (my sufferings in Iwó town ) That was how wives became known as Ìyà-Iwó (sufferings in Iwó ) and now Ìyàwó . So men don't be afraid or surprise by what you experience daily, it started ages ago....!

Romance / A Woman Can Block You And Still Expect You To Do This….. by Jowanonline(m): 12:34pm On Jul 05, 2022
A woman will block you, delete your number and tell you never to call her again and still expect you to call them.
Don't ask me how, it's only them(women) can explain it better.
In the midst of argument with her, don't bother listening to her because it's not her that's speaking instead avoid her let her continue vomiting.
Listen bro, a woman that truly love you might block you on Facebook and still use her friends Facebook account to see how you are holding up.
They may breath fire in front of you and break down in tears in a corner.
Their hearts are softer than a new born baby’s feet's(honestly)
Until you realized and understand that women speak in opposite meanings when they are mad and angry at you, then you will forever fall in same trap of counting your Ex's.
*What am I trying to say......Don't act upon angry women's words. Most of the times, those genders don't really mean what they say. That's why it's good to avoid them at that particular minute to avoid Vawulence.

Romance / I Divorced My Husband Because He Did This… by Jowanonline(m): 10:52am On Jun 30, 2022
One woman came to my house last week, when it gets to her turn ,
she tried to tell me her problems, but tears won't allow her to say it straight

At the end of everything I discovered that her problem is,
She was married for five years, according to her the man was a good man but he cheated on her,
And her fellow women, that claims women support women, advised her if her husband continues, she should take the two children and leave the marriage,
According to her she can't stand to share her husband with another woman

So she did exactly what they advised her, her husband begs and fight to take the children,
But she took the case to welfare according to her the man left with shame,

She have have stayed out of marriage for 7 years now her husband marries another 3 years ago,
I discovered that Since that seven years she came out of that marriage, she has become sidechek to some married men that help her take care of children,

I now ask her those men friend of yours are you the only one that they are sleeping with now,
She go's dip in silent

Many women that got divorced because of, I can't share my man, is seriously regretting it But pride will never allow them admit it,

My advice to those that will like to hear
Stay in your marriage, there is no perfect man out there, not even your father

If you leave your marriage because he cheated on you, the only men that will take you serious will be married men, single boys no get time to keep you or marry you, they can come to chop and run

Most women on social media will jigger you to leave your marriage,
They will celebrate your divorce
And they will fight you if you come close to their men

If you divorce him because, he cheats
When you come outside you will meet those that will cheat on you without respect..

TV/Movies / Bbnaija 2020: Why I’m Not In Any Relationship – Evicted Lucy Reveals by Jowanonline(m): 11:53am On Sep 13, 2020
Following her exit from the house, Lucy was welcomed by members of the media, to spill the tea, describe her experience in the house, and share her next move with her fans, courtesy Betway, headline sponsor of BBNaija Lockdown.

When asked about relationships in the house, she was hesitant to share her opinions, because according to her, she doesn’t “know what is on people’s mind”, and can only speak to what she sees.

Halfway into the competition, Lucy and Praise became close. However, their relationship could not blossom, as Praise was evicted from the house, just a week into their deepened friendship.

She however admits that she wasn’t keen on a relationship in the house, because she wouldn’t know “what is real, until we get out of the house, so as not to be used as a part of someone’s strategy.”

Lucy was asked about her many claims while in the house of not wanting to be in contact with any of the housemates once the competition is over.

She confessed that those things were said, “in the heat of the moment”.

Wedding Without Reception At Catholic Church. Food & Souvenir Packaged

As shared by Father Kelvin Ugwu:

Today’s wedding between Augustus and Vivian in St Denis Catholic Church Bariga was particularly different in a very cool and sweet way.

The bride and groom were beautifully dressed. A friend of mine Edith Kush did the make up for the bride. The wedding was done with the bride and the groom exchanging their vows to each other lovingly. That was the highpoint of the whole thing.

The food and souvenir were beautifully packaged together and were distributed to all that came just immediately after the mass. They had the cutting of the cake just at the exit door of the church. No reception. No hall. No Mc. No DJ. No event planner. No aseobi. No bridal train. Just the essential. Before 1pm everyone was already on their way home and to their other businesses, including the couple. On Sunday they will come for thanksgiving after having consummated the marriage without stress.

Crime / NDLEA Arrests Four Drug Merchants In Ondo State by Jowanonline(m): 9:27am On Dec 18, 2019
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it has seized and burnt over 14.3 tonnes of illicit drugs and crops in six different camps raided by its operatives in Ondo and Edo states.

Haruna Gagara, NDLEA Commandant in Ondo State, told newsmen in Akure that his team also apprehended a notorious cannabis merchant, Ohimai Ayodele, 51, in Uzebba, suspected to be the mastermind of the killing of NDLEA personnel earlier this year.

“Ayodele’s men opened fire in an attempt to resist his arrest. Seven of our personnel got injured in the course of the incident and they are currently receiving treatment in the hospital,” said the narcotic chief.

Gagara further disclosed that the operatives also arrested a 66-year-old cannabis farmer in a deserted locality along Edo/Ondo border. He said that several cannabis nurseries and transplant farms were discovered and destroyed immediately while weapons were seized.

The state commandant said the patrol also invaded Ajobieye forest in Ute, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State in an operation that lasted about eight hours.

“This operation led to the burning of 1,225 bags of Cannabis Sativa, while 174.5 kilograms and samples of fresh plants were brought for prosecution purposes.

“I can assure Nigerians that the operation has caused a serious disruption in the drug market and has checked the likely influx of drugs during this Yuletide.

“The impact of the operation will be felt in the illicit drug market nationwide because about 80 per cent of cannabis market across the country obtain their cannabis supply from states touched by this operation.

“The agency is still awaiting drug merchants on the road to intercept cannabis shipments smuggled into the market. We will sustain the current effort,” the NDLEA chief said.

Gagara, who led the team, said the exercise, tagged “Operation Thunder Strike IV”, was launched by a joint task force comprising personnel of the agency from Oyo, Ekiti, Edo Ondo and Osun states and men of the Nigerian Army.

The commandant said the intelligence-driven operation led to the seizure of tonnes of cannabis already harvested and heaped for onward movement to the illicit drug markets. He said his team visited two communities, Uzebba and Hikin, which were notorious for the cultivation of cannabis in Owan Local Government Area of Edo State, bordering Ondo State.

The aggrieved labour unions say unless the state government invites the workers for discussion on the adjustment of the new N30,000 minimum wage on or before Wednesday this week, they will be embarking on a total strike action in the state.

In a joint press statement signed by the state leaderships of both NLC and TUC, Comr Bankole Emmanuel and Comr Fajobi Olubunmi, the workers said it was very distressing that despite writing the state government five times between August and December on the need to set up the negotiation committee to determine the consequential adjustment on the new minimum wage, Governor Dapo Abiodun – led administration ignored them and failed to attend to their demand.

They also refuted claims made by the state government that they have been in talks on how to implement the new minimum wage. The aggrieved workers say if by midnight on Wednesday December 18th the state government still refuses to meet with them, they would be embarking on their planned warning strike.

The state government is yet to react to this development.

Politics / FG Won’t Allow Foreign Airlines Treat Nigerians With Contempt – Sirika by Jowanonline(m): 2:22am On Dec 15, 2019
The Federal Government will not allow any foreign airline operator to treat Nigerian travellers with disdain, the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, said on Saturday.

Sirika disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja by the Director of Public Affairs, Federal Ministry of Aviation, James Odaudu.

The minister warned other airline operators to take a cue from the recent experience of Turkish Airlines as he stressed that the government would not hesitate to sanction erring international carriers.

Sirika said, “Following the threat by the nation’s aviation regulators to ban its operations in Nigeria, Turkish Airlines last night flew into Abuja with a bigger aircraft A330 as against the usual smaller B737.

“Officials of the airline, alarmed by the prospect of losing their Nigerian market, had rushed into a meeting with the Nigerian authorities to pledge total commitment.”

According to him, Turkish Airlines tried to comply with the conditions given to it in order to continue its operations in Nigeria.

He explained that the foreign airline had been notorious for the shabby treatment of Nigerian travellers over time.

Sirika stated that such behaviour by the airline had always given rise to security issues at the airports with protests by affected passengers.

He, however, noted that the airline had now shown commitment and had pledged to improve its treatment of Nigerian travellers by operating a bigger and more comfortable aircraft.

Religion / Niger Republic, Togo And Benin Cannot Cheat Nigeria, They Should Pay Up $9m by Jowanonline(m): 1:34am On Dec 15, 2019
Niger republic, Togo and Benin cannot cheat Nigeria, they should pay up $9m electricity bills - TCN

The managing director of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Usman Mohammed has asked the country's international electricity customers to pay $9 million outstanding power bills.

He disclosed that international electricity customers have accumulated a bill of over $100 million since he assumed office as he warned that they will get disconnected if they don't pay up.

Mohammed who is also the chairman of West African Power Pool (WAAP) said;

“It is not because I am the chairman of the West African Power Pool (WAAP) that I will be allowing international customers to cheat Nigeria.

“When I took over as MD TCN, both Benin and Togo were owing Nigeria more than $100 million. The debt now remains $7 million.

“Niger is owing less than $2 million. In short, we are not leaving them. We disconnect them as we disconnect customers here in Nigeria. Electricity is not charity. We cannot just allow people to consume electricity and leave us like that.

“As at now, we have restricted their supply to only their contracted ones. We are insisting they pay all their outstanding bills before we reconnect them and we increase the off-take.”
