danielak1: Hello Danielak1, Except you want to try your Luck by providing documentation as the provenance proof of the lump sum, otherwise, such an account may reduce your chances. A sponsor's bank record is expected to show historical and continuous inflows amounting to the current sitting balance. You should use a sponsor that can prove they're economically established to bear the sponsorship burden and one in which the relationship can be demonstrated. If the account has good inflows that amount to the sitting balance, the one month of inactiveness may not necessarily be an issue. However, the focus should be on how to provide explanations and documentation to adequately explain the fund's source. The VO's don't smile when assessing a bank statement with a lump sum. You should do the same when trying to salvage the situation. Best of Luck |

nadesh: Hello Nadesh, It depends on the concerned individual's financial, economic, and ties to their home country. If none of these are adequate, it will be wise to put in a sole application for a second Master's if a Ph.D. study is not the goal, and then later, apply for the family upon landing. Lezy: Hello Lezy, An affidavit is a legal document and may not be enough to help the officer to assess your income stream(s) and its reliability. Provide financial documentation that will help demonstrate that your funds come in continually in amounts that are not irregular. It could be a contract agreement, sales & invoice receipt, investment certificate, business registration certificate, employment information, etc. Given the sum being talked about is huge, documentation that covers the business transaction will be required. Teezkid: Hello Teezkid, The sum transferred to you can be considered as a demonstration of his sponsorship commitment. Ensure to explain the lump sum in your study plan. It will be best if he pays your first-year tuition while he transfers your LE to you. Best of Luck |

Perfectyyyyyy: Hello Perfectyyyyyy, The processing of your application may be going despite not being updated in your GcKey. You have done your best, relax and be hopeful. You are not alone as there are lots of others in the same situation. It's a good idea to forward your updated bank statement(s) and/or upfront medicals if you didn't do one before. Best of Luck |

gascoigne462: Hello Gascoigne462, There is no one way to fill out the section. Input funds for the first year if you don't have the sufficient amount that can cover 2 years of study. The IMM 1294e form can be signed digitally by entering your full name as shown in your PP. You can digitally date the IMM 5645e form only in the section that applies to you. Best of Luck |

ehiremen2002: Hello Ehiremen2002, Due to the public policy introduced by the then Immigration Minister, the rules were relaxed during the pandemic to allow skilled workers who will be out of status to change their status to visitors. It also applied to visitors that entered Canada before or by August 24, 2020, and remained. The way forward for her is to network and search for a potential employer that will deem her skills attractive and interested in her. Most employer will not want to offer her a job as it breaks the law to give jobs that Canadians, PRs, or authorized skilled workers will fill to visitors. If she's lucky to get the offer and the employer agree to apply for the LMIA on her behalf (if the employer does not have one before), she can depart Canada to apply from outside. This way, she can apply for the Work Permit and/or PNP if she's interested in PR. Best of Luck |

Chinnychappy: Hello Chinnychappy, If there is evidence of the gratuity payment entering your brother's account, it can be used as POF. The evidence is to justify the term deposit into your account from your brother. Given your marital status, instead of the money being paid into your account meant for the SP application purpose, collect the money using a different account and utilize it to pay off your tuition for the first year. Your brother can also write you a letter of support and ensure that your spouse also plays a financial role. Best of Luck |

Johnwisdom1032: Hello Johnwisdom1032, You will need to provide as many relevant documents as possible, including his payslip or CAC if he is self-sponsored, ID card, investments evidence, properties, proof of relationship to you, etc. Your uncle is a third-party sponsor and it will help your application if he pays your first-year tuition and has your LE transferred to you given the high cost of UG study in Canada. EPICUnleashed: Hello EPICUnleashed, Apologies for my late response. It will make no difference if you extend your study permit using the soon-so-be expired passport because the new permit will also be issued within the validity duration of the PP. First, get your PP before applying for an extension otherwise you have to spend another fund renewing your permit again. You should stop studying once you are out of status, but can keep studying once you have applied to extend your permit even before a decision is reached. Go to Nigeria embassy in Ottawa to renew your PP. For further guidance, speak to your school's international office or immigration advisor. Best of Luck |

bomsilaga: Hello Bomsilaga, As you may know already, Aussie and Canada share information. It will be wise to declare what you have going on with the Aussies. Aside from this, if the delay with your Aussie PR application that's why you are intending to apply for the Canadian study permit, IRCC may also give you a run for your patience. Except that the PR application is not sure, then it will be a good idea to proceed with your study plans in Canada, which also serves as a good backup. Australia is a very good country with almost the same way of life as Canada and New Zealand, but more expensive to live in. The length of your program will not pose any harm to your study permit application nor will a financial deed gift. If you intend to get a study loan from an individual or any persons not related to you, it will be wise not to tag it as a study loan as it may reduce the ability to demonstrate your level of economic establishment in your country. Rather it could be tagged as a loan/debt repayment or return on investment backed with adequate documentation. Best of Luck 3 Likes |

AOlalere: Hello AOlalere, Considering the length of your program, there is no need for your dad to transfer the funds to you. It will make a lot of sense if he pays your full tuition directly from his account since he's your sponsor. The LE alone can be transferred to you. Leave the gift deed alone and let your dad support your application with the Letter of Sponsorship. Any lump sum should be addressed adequately. It will help your application very well if you provided relevant and sufficient documents of your sponsor that justify his employment (sources of funds), economic establishments, etc. There are never too many documents, especially if it is required to explain, prove, or justify your situation. Ensure you include your payslips, ID card, awards, promotion letter(s), as well as documents that prove your economic establishments (home ties), etc. Focus more on demonstrating solid socioeconomic home ties than worry about your fresh passport. There have been a lot of applicants that got approved without any travel history or experience. What matters is demonstrating you have a genuine intent to study and will depart upon the authorized stay in Canada. You can also tell the officer about your intra-country tours. Best of Luck |

Derekxxy: Hello Derekxxy, Studying in a postsecondary institution and program makes an international graduate eligible for a PGWP and thereafter a PR if the scholarship is issued by an academic institution, notable individual, private or corporate, or multinational. In SOME cases, scholarships sponsored by a partner country or a Government of a country MAY not be eligible to apply for a residency. It depends if the scholarship has this type of clause. In this case, it is the international student's responsibility to enquire from the issuing body about the rules and regulations that guide the scholarship program. How easy in securing a scholarship depends on the level of knowledge work invested in the process. I will say painstakingly. For study loans, MPower Finance amongst others has made study loans very flexible if you can secure an admission to one of its partnered and/or recognized Universities. You can also get it from family, friends, religious bodies, etc. Best of Luck |

Roffy3: Hello Roffy3, The strike action would have been a good opportunity to leverage in justifying your reason(s) for wanting to study in Canada if the class level was 100 or 200. It won't be reasonable that a final year student will restart at the Diploma study level given the time already spent. Though nothing is impossible. If you have sufficient funds for a Bachelor's and a resilient fighter, I will say good, go ahead. If not, be patient to complete your studies in your country. If you consider applying without declaring the ongoing undergraduate program, ensure to fill the gaps with passed and active activities related to the proposed study. Best of Luck |

TonyDeAnalyst: Hello TonyDeAnalyst, Despite receiving full funding to study for your Ph.D. program, put in a single application. After your first semester or 3 months later, you can apply for them to join you. For now, use your family as a tie. It makes no sense that a third party will sponsor 2 adults and their 3 children. Paying the full tuition in the case that your program is not partially funded, may not be enough to convince the VO that you don't have an immigration intent. Your sponsor doesn't need to do a Financial Deed Gift rather the Letter of Sponsorship covers the earmarked sponsorship funds, the financial responsibility, and the sponsorship intentions. Property gifts from parents, as well as financial inheritance, serve as good ties, including the study leave approval letter, assets, family, etc. Paying the tuition is not compulsory, but pay it if the money is available. The gratuity will help your financial demonstration if it is accessible to you. Best of Luck. |

Osemigho: Hello Osemigho, Been a while! I agree with you, but neither is Toceen2022 wrong. He said some. Some funding that is given to international students especially if it is a government sponsored like the Kingdom of Saudi, the Chinese Government, etc. COULD come with a clause to return to their country after study. In some situation, some international graduates whose funding have such condition have gotten PRs. Almost recently, before the pandemic, international students that got funding from Global Affairs Canada were not eligible for the PGWP, with the clause now suspended after gradual ease. Maybe your friend was amongst the beneficiaries. Respect bro! 1 Like |
