The prison boys accept the money because they are not feeding well. But the other guys giving them so much money, how are they getting the money?
I can tell you a story of how sex and hunger are not in the same boat but maybe another day.

EreluRoz:
My dad's driver son is right here in our house and he's the first child of his dad, he's totally different from the rest, he doesn't look like his dad neither does he look like his mum, there's no resemblance from both parents at all.

I stylishly dig up stories of how his mum was married because he's been driving my dad even before I was born and I was told she was already pregnant before the marriage ceremony was held and as at that time of their wedding, the woman lived in a different state, she just came and told him she was pregnant and that was how marriage happened .

I have watched this boy from head to toe so I can see at least one feature in resemblance but I didn't see anything, not even from the mom, he's just totally different. The other kids are ok, two share a striking resemblance with their dad while the last took after her mom but with some of the dad features, so are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Should I tell my dad my observation? What do you think?
Get a job. If you're not old enough for a job, focus on your academics. This topic is too big for you.

They should go straight and demand their settlement from the sales agreement.
Car Talk / Re: Help!!! Between 2012 To 2015 Toyota Camry And Honda Accord by Kelvin30286063(m): 12:59pm On Jan 23
OlaBa:
I want to buy my first car and I literally know nothing about cars. I'm torn between 2012 to 2015 Toyota Camry and Honda Accord

I'm thinking Camry but that's because it's everywhere where I am and people keep telling me here that it's better than Honda but I feel they don't know better

What I want in a car:

Reliability
Not so hard to maintain
Technology features
Safety of course

Note: I can comfortably afford the stated cars, I'm just looking for opinions from car gurus here.

I'm also open to other suggestions apart from Camry and Accord. Thanks
If you plan to later do sell and add money, buy the Camry. Aside that, both are competitions so they share almost similar features.
Car Talk / Re: A Friend Borrowed My Car And Brought It Back Like This by Kelvin30286063(m): 12:55pm On Jan 23
Spark2:
Good day NL.
A friend of mine borrowed my car few days ago to help ease movement for him. I happily gave him the car because I understood the need he had.

For precautionary reasons, I don't let my fuel get below quarter tank. Each time it gets there, i ensure I top it up.

When I gave this guy my key, I told him clearly to ensure he adds enough fuel as he's leaving my place and not to allow the fuel guage gets below quarter.

My car spent some days with him. he brought back the car and complained that my car has stopped on the way several times and each time it stops, he'd have to buy a little fuel and add before it moves.

Second, he brought back the car with scratches on my front bumper. I learned from someone that he had moved on terrible roads with the car. I was told he went to places that other people had parked because their vehicles can't enter.

I asked how much fuel he bought and he told me he bought a few litres of fuel. This got me furious because this is a journey that if I am to go, I'd have to buy over 40L of fuel.

Third, he brought it back with a faulty fuel gauge, my fuel gauge has never been faulty since I bought my car. It was not possible for me to know the fuel level at the time he returned the car.

I had to go fix my car because I had a need to go somewhere with it. My mechanic opened to tank to check why the car was stopping as well as the fuel gauge. To my surprise, my tank was terribly empty. It was dry.

I had to buy so much fuel as well as fix the fuse of the fuel gauge. As for the scratches, I will have to leave them like that. The funny thing is that my friend cannot even tell me he is sorry.

I have resolved in my mind, I WILL NEVER GIVE ANYBODY MY CAR AGAIN. NO.
ITS ONLY ME THAT CAN TAKE CARE OF MY CAR. I AM THE ONE MAINTAINING IT AND I KNOW EHERE IT PAINS.

what do you think about this?
Do you give out your car to your friends to use especially in this hard economy where fuel, maintenance and cost of parts are on the high side.
Before I'll lend anyone my car, that person will have to be God or the angel in charge of book of life.
Bro, you willingly gave him, there's no case here. Na next time no go happen.

Education is too expensive for it value in Nigeria. We know education is cheap in Nigeria when compared with other countries but considering our finances, cost of living, the quality and value of the educatiin itself, it's just too expensive. A country that can't guarantee employment after school shouldn't allow schools to increase tuition fees like this.

Is it his job to control their activities ??

What about the CBN, Minister of Trade,, Attorney General , Finance Minister? The Immigrations people that sell out work permits and visas

what you are citing is not his job

clearly you are clueless on this issue

Wha you are sayng is not even logical

You don't focus on the body set up by law to regulate such entities that also licenses them
the CBN

bit are just boiling like a kettle with no thermostat

Food price going up without regulations Are you alright? What the hell are you talking about I can't believe I am reading that. What regulations for food prices ? How? Where? Why not regulation for Olosho price

It was absolutely his job to protect the consumers rights and CBN has no business with consumers, they are a financial regulators and they are suppose to work hand in hand with FCCPC when it's partains to the issue of loan sharks. I'm sure that is probably one of the reasons why the former CBN governor was also fired. Consumers right is not limited to finances alone, it cut across every aspects of business transactions and trade. That is exactly why FCCPC was created. CBN is not an executive arm of government so they cannot go into the field to enforce laws directly which makes them more or less powerless after circulating instructions, FCCPC on the other hand was create for the sole purpose of protecting consumers. And they have the power to enforce change when it relates to consumers rights.

You're the one that doesn't know the job of a Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commissioner. As a consumer, it is your right to buy food products at a competitive market price and the FCCPC job to make sure consumers datas are protected online in any online expenditures. Dude, please go back to your law book cos obviously you don't know why the FCCPC was set up in the first place.

You think food prices cannot be regulated. 🤦🏻‍♂️ You're a dullard if you think the government cannot regulate food prices cos if you have ever left the country, you will understand why it is 100% possible for government to regulate food prices and that is solely the job of FCCPC. There's a reason why the price of hamburger has been $2.74 since 2015 and it hasn't changed till now but here in Nigeria, dolnut can be 3000 today and 4500 tomorrow. It is your right as a consumer to buy food at a fair and regulated price that tallies with the cost of production without excess profits.

Note: What about the CBN, Minister of Trade,, Attorney General , Finance Minister? The Immigrations people that sell out work permits and visas
Minister of Trade, Attorney General, Finance Minister should all be in the same business of regulating food prices, and fighting unlicensed businesses but it is not their job to protect consumers rights! That duty falls solely on FCCPC. Immigration has no business in this discussion cos loan shark business owners do not live in Nigeria and they don't employ foreigners to run their businesses in Nigeria.
Regulating price of olosho? That's stupid and shows your level of intelligence.

Thanks for bringing this vexing issue into sharp focus.

When you say he empowered predatory digital money lenders (DMLs), do you mean that he granted them operating licenses to begin with? I am asking because I don't think such powers were ever within his remit.

Source: https://punchng.com/well-continue-to-block-illegal-loan-apps-irukera/
No I'm not saying he enabled them or issued licenses to them but I think he didn't do enough to control their activities. There is also the issue of food price going up without regulations. He did his best but could have done better in the area of protecting people's data.

I am inclined to agree. Irukera has spearheaded a number of essential reforms in the consumer protection sector.
He empowered Chinese owned loan sharks in Nigeria and did some eye service arrests when pressure was on him to rescue Nigerians from their claws in 2020 to 2022. He deserved to be sacked for the way he handled the issue of loan sharks and the way they misused consumers' datas.
