Alright bro, everyone is entitled to their opinion and I stand with the man,not to say that Nigerians r not suffering but from d points I see in his speech
ANDREW91:

The reasoning doesnt make sense.
Its just like sayin because travelling by road is cheaper than flight...so i should travel by road when i have money for flight.

Lol... You are looking at his as a Nigerian politician while am looking at him as an independent economist I believe that's d difference

Why do you agree with him?
And while at it, I'll suggest you go look up this concept

Seems u r not familiar with Nigerian politics, once u r getting these things it means u r one of d favorites. See Soludo, see Ifeanyi Uba , I can only add Andy Uba because of APC federal might, next governor of Anambra is from these 3 people

U de mind them? Firstly the political party no hlget name, secondly looking at d 2 reg numbers u will see it's likely to be a typo error, thirdly I doubt anycourt would accept such filling as it's hastily and unprofessionally done. Anyway it's like this party don't hear what was done to Obinna Uzor of Ihiala by the court on same Certificate issue, this time if this is in court at all then the court might order for the party's deregisteration
Thinktwicemybro:
We should stop all this rubbish certificate character assasination. Nigerian politicians should learn to face issues instead of always looking for how to disqualify their rivals. Someone who has been in the Senate, it's today you realize he does not have neco just because he is contesting for governor. Fools

How come I have same background and understood his point but u that have similar didn't? No be juju be that? Anyway I rest my case
RodgersAkpafu:

I have the same background as he does, minus the PhD
So I know what I am talking about
There is NOTHING to not understand in what he just said, and I am saying it's not the reality for many Nigerians
He is stylishly trying to use the PPP angle to explain this away, but even that is intellectual dishonesty
And no
I am not moving out of the topic
What I said is very relevant to the topic
Politics / Re: PDP Leadership: Secondus Vows To Fight On, Refuses To Withdraw Court Case by Kelvinhunta: 9:16am On Sep 23, 2021
Has buharis constitutional rights been respected when everyone is almost crying that hardship is tripling?has he left?these are questions u avoid to answer.since u know it's not a do or die affair so y wike won't leave him? All I see in ur comment is a pained PDP sympathiser. Have u asked urself y wike is so desperate to get rid of him? Just for wike to be positioned to contest for 2023 presidency as no zone can produce party chairman and presidential candidate at same time. That's y wike is so bent on removing him but he will never succeed
Pidginwhisper:
If his constitutional right is not respected then he should leave the post. It’s not his birthright. Does he have something going for him before he became chairman?. This thing no be do or die affairs. If dem put me for a position and dem tell me say dem no want me again, I’ll gladly leave and gladly return to my personal business.
Politics / Re: Segun Ajibola: Average Nigerian Can Feed With ₦500, Naira Still Strong by Kelvinhunta: 9:06am On Sep 23, 2021
Lol....this same reason is y they said most people won't understand it because they r OND holders. He is a professor of economics, there is no way you will know the economy more than him. What u said is true but u r moving out of d topic
RodgersAkpafu:

What the professor is saying is not true and it reeks of intellectual dishonesty
These are three facts that that the supposed "prof" omitted

1) for the vast majority of Nigerians, their incomes have either shrunk or remained flat since 2015

2)the exchange rate has slid by over 50% since 2015, which is not even the main issue but it is just as bad

3) Inflation rates have been running amok over the last 4 years.
How do you explain the price of bag of rice tripling in 5 years
The price of spaghetti doubling
Price of Yams doubling
Fuel price almost doubling
And incomes remain flat or even shrinking (we have a high unemployment rate remember)

Inflation (let's forget about devaluation sef) is killing the naira big time it is the major culprit
Normally inflation and depreciation of currency should not have a very strong correlation
But because of Nigeria unique circumstance
It kind of does

Let's look at Russia for example
Russia has been under sanctions because of their misadventure in Crimea
This led to the value of the RUB to tank against the USD
However prices did not run amok the same way it did in Nigeria
Things are still far cheaper in russia than in most countries in Eurppe DESPITE the slide in the value of the RUB

Japan has had similar experience with their Yen
And thailand with their Baht.
Why is Nigeria case different?
E go soon red for this country, nd by then even those defending the status quo because of parochial reasons go know say khaki no be leather

He said average, we know what it means to say average. Some will earn above while some will earn below, the point is can 1doll buy same things in USA as it would buy in nigeria?
ANDREW91:

He is talking trash.
Alot of people earn less than 500 by day
So how do u expect dem to feed.
There nobody in the US dat earn less than a dollar per day
Politics / Re: Segun Ajibola: Average Nigerian Can Feed With ₦500, Naira Still Strong by Kelvinhunta: 8:06am On Sep 23, 2021
Lol...only Economists would understand what the Professor said
HedwigesMaduro:

Your analogy (or that of the other guy you referenced) sounds like bs to me. Let's reason it; if what you bought for 500 naira hypothetically costs 8 pounds (which is around 4800 naira or so. By value, you'll feel it costs more in pound, right? But let's check: the minimum wage in the UK is around 8.71 pound per hour. Is the minimum wage in Nigeria up to 500 naira per hour? Are you getting my drift?
Politics / Re: Segun Ajibola: Average Nigerian Can Feed With ₦500, Naira Still Strong by Kelvinhunta: 8:00am On Sep 23, 2021
And u think u know more that a Professor?I guess you don't understand his point. He is talking Economics which is comparing what 500naira(1dollar) can buy in Nigeria and what 1dollar(500naira) can buy in USA. He is not saying that Nigeria is better than USA or that naira is stronger that dollar

That's his constitutional right.how can u rubbish him just weeks to completion of his tenure without any evidence of abuse of office? Abi na sleep wike de sleep b4?

Politics / Re: Okorocha: I Don't Receive Salary, Don’t Know How Much Senators Earn by Kelvinhunta: 7:05pm On Sep 22, 2021
I got ur point but as a civil servant I can authoritatively tell u that no one can verify that because office ethics won't alow anyone release such info without the person authorizing it. He knows it that's y he said it inconclusively, if he honestly wants it verified he would have stated d organizations and other info but anyway let's leave d Arguments sha
omoolokunEsin:

Can't you see that he has dared whoever wants to doubt him to check the records? No reasonable person can make the claims made by Okorocha, knowing that he could be found out! Do you get my point now? So in a way, he isn't lying.
Politics / Re: Okorocha: I Don't Receive Salary, Don’t Know How Much Senators Earn by Kelvinhunta: 9:11am On Sep 22, 2021
Yes I didn't make a point because both of us r saying entirely different things! U r saying it's better to rob Peter and pay Paul but am saying it's insane for someone on salary to say publicly that they don't know how much their salary is
Imustnottalk:
you are the one that don't make a sense here to me rochas is still better than all those hypocrites in politics even if he steal from the government and give it to the charity still better than those who steal for personal uses even without going into politics to rochas is a billionaire the money this man is spending a day on charity if he give to you I bet it will change your generations for life .

It's easy to read but highly difficult to understand. Maybe u should reread my comment and see if u will have a better understanding of my point
OchukoisBlack:

Talk, they say is cheap, why not counter his claims with verifiable facts. You're just here claiming the Senator is dancing around the circus whilst doing the exact same thing.
Politics / Re: Okorocha: I Don't Receive Salary, Don’t Know How Much Senators Earn by Kelvinhunta: 9:04am On Sep 22, 2021
My point is, how can anyone on salary claim they don't know how much they earn? It's one thing to claim ur salary goes directly to charity but without mentioning d exact charity organization how do u expect it to be verified? This is what is called the more u look, the less u see. If he feels his statement is real and verifiable then he would have included every details to verify
omoolokunEsin:

"Honestly," he made a LOT of sense! I believe Senator Okorocha more that the people prejudging him here. His claims are easy to verify one way or the other.
Politics / Re: Okorocha: I Don't Receive Salary, Don’t Know How Much Senators Earn by Kelvinhunta: 5:15am On Sep 21, 2021
Honestly u made no sense at all! Anyway it's not up for a debate, he don't know how much is his salary, he haven't received any salary as a senator as it goes straight to charity and u r here defending him? He is not crazy, he is just a lier but anyone defending him or believes him is d crazy one
tiger28:
Nigerians are just too much!!! I am not crazy about this man but if he lied, then he must be a Baby because there are electronic trails, if he ever received any salary......then WHY will he publicly lie?it will be easy to find out maybe not the imo one because he has influence to cover the track but then the Governor is his arch enemy....... Exactly my point! Girls r too hungry these days and still shamelessly parade themselves as such. If a girl is hungry and won't follow a guy home she should make it open and some guys go still feed her but what is wrong is to make a guy feel u will follow him home after spending his money but then u change ur mind, that's fraud

Now I can read the mischief in ur post. U know igbo more that a professor! And u not in igboland, criminals do not use every other day to strike na only sit at home days and with full ipob regalia chanting their songs? Which I ve personally witnessed? Guy move to comedy section or ask for such to be created for u
Na people like u de call every igbo person ipob member
od501:

Baba...I know igbos more than even a so called professor. All these killings are not done by ipob or any of their afflicts. Forget newspaper reports, go down there and see for yourself.

Criminals can use the sit at home as an opportunity to do their thing, but the Igbos that I know can never go around killing their brothers for mere none compliance.

Even ipob leaders have challenged security forces to arrest any one that is enforcing the sit at home. Dies such people look to you like Talibans or something close?

U r not getting the point, Hisbah is enforcing their religional doctrines, if u don't like it then relocate and beside how many killings have they made? Killing people hustling for they feeding money is d height of it. If u pretend it's not ipob then no problem, very soon everyone in Igboland go taste am though it's likely u r not in Igboland
od501:

Dear priest, sorry for your lose. But how are we sure the killers are ipob members?

And if you call IPOB Talibans, what do you call Hisbah?
Politics / Re: IPOB: The Taliban Of Igbo Land By Vanguard Newspapers by Kelvinhunta: 3:25pm On Sep 18, 2021
You are very stupid for saying this! I am an igbo living in igbo land. You cant tell me that ipob declared sit at home and unknown whatever is enforcing it. We also don't need u to claim responsibility because we know it's ipob doing so. They r clearly deviating from their original plans and soon they will lose the simpathy of everyone. My only concern is that Nigerian Police most times arrest innocent people and tag them ipob.
u swore to protect ur people yet u declare lock down upon this most challenging hard times people are facing in this buhari era and u go about killing them without considering that these people feed hand to mouth on daily basis. This post is exactly what it is, Taliban of Igboland. This is exactly how they will govern their imaginary Biafra land. Even d taliban of Afghanistan don't kill at every offense but these ones kills at d blink of an eye, what a shame. Was even waiting to hear how they will confront buhari at Imo state hardly go I know that they r superpowers at civilians only. I pity those financing them because they will come to you once u stop
Truthissupreme:
I don't know the fuss about Ipob to non igbos

This group only does protest and declare sit at home

Those enforcing sit at home are unknown gunmen whom are not affiliated to Ipob

If the government haven't cracked unknown gunmen it is irresponsible to tag them Ipob when Ipob have not taken responsibility for the actions they committ

Mind you there are also cases of unknown gunmen in the north just like the ones that killed na'allah 2 sons
