Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What Is The Least Amount You Can Collect As A Fresh Graduate? by Kennyinusa(m): 7:50am On Jan 04, 2015 |
Hello guys. Even without NYSC I was collecting 65k. But a close friend of mine was collecting 250k. Talk about not fair. But currently, I can't collect less than 200k because on my own, I make more than that. Meanwhile, I still haven't gone for my NYSC. |

Jobs/Vacancies / How Bad Is The Job Market? by Kennyinusa(m): 4:34pm On Dec 13, 2014 |
I have been a member of this God sent forum for quite sometime now. I have read stuffs, I have seen things. I won't be exaggerating if i said i have gone through more than half of the Threads on the Career and job Vacancies Section. I have read people success stories and I have also seen some books of lamentation. What i have seen here and partially experienced have brought me to the understanding that getting a job isn't anything close to what Graduates/Job seekers paint it as. Forgive me if you feel otherwise, but unix thinks getting a job is easy. Over to fellow nairalanders, what do you think? How hard is getting a job? |
Programming / Re: My Problem With Nigeria Programers. by Kennyinusa(m): 5:10pm On Dec 10, 2014 |
Though i barely read through everybody's post, i must confess that i get he point. But this is what i think 1. Money makes stuffs fly. I was opportune to meet one of the founding programmer of MXIT and he explained how crucial money was in the success of the No 1. chatting application in South Africa. And i would like to believe that we all know the story of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat etc. and how venture capitalist money was crucial to their success. 2. You can't do it all alone Going with one of the words of my favorite african venture capitalist in person of Kresten Buch, he believe that you need a Team, and not just a any team, "A DREAM TEAM". And what makes a great team is not just what you can do now, it's commitment, passion, love and enthusiasm for whatever it is that they do. MORE COMING. |

Education / The Secret Of Past Questions (jamb) by Kennyinusa(m): 4:03pm On Nov 01, 2014 |
THE SECRET OF PAST QUESTIONS Revising for JAMB exams is more than just reading through the notes you made in class. It also involves the knowing of how the questions come and the right approach to answering them. Practicing with JAMB past Questions and Answers can improve your chances of doing well. Revision works best when you practice what you will be doing in the exam. And by writing what you know as the answer makes it easier to be remembered when the real exam comes. The past questions indicate trends of how JAMB can surprise students and make those who know the pattern happy. You come to a state of self-preparedness when you attempt a minimum of 10 past questions in each subject before sitting for it. Top scorers know that questions are often repeated from the same topic every year, with only a change in sentence, figure or option. While you study the past question, you will get to know the following: 1. The topic in high demand: there are some topics that JAMB AND WAEC love so dearly that the questions will not be complete without them. Then such topics, you give them concrete attention so as not to miss that opportunity of additional scores. 2. You become familiar with the pattern: JAMB has its own pattern of setting exam question. If you don't know it, you will see a question on a topic you have read very well yet you won't get the answer. Thus, with the past question, you can know the trend and what the examiner really want from you. 3. You know what to expect: if you study the past questions very well you will get to know what to expect from JAMB in any topic and this will build yourself confidence. People are afraid of the future because they don't know what it holds. If they had known, they will confidently face their destiny. Now that you know what to expect, you then arm yourself with everything it would take to meet it. 4. You get yourself under examination condition: which implies that the exam day is just like the second time of writing the exam. CAUTION: You don't study with your past question only, let your text book on the subject stay close to you with other subjects being far away as possible. When you have finished marking and scoring, your text book can help you get details of the correction for the ones you failed as well as the ones you got by guess work. While you are searching the text book for the answers, it will help you cover other areas while pursuing the main context. This will crystallize your preparation well and give it a shape and confidence in your mind. And you know what! In JAMB, real and deep confidence matters a lot. To be contd. Credit: Ajah Anayo Cheers to a new month and another chance for us to get things right. Lets take a drill this weekend. 1: visit www.jamb-cbt.com/practise 2: Practice several questions to score high point.
