My Background: Age 30 Monthly income: 250k + bonuses Salary account balance: about 1.2mill Travel history: dubai+ UK severally within the past 3 yrs Marital status: single but about getting married. Purpose of travel: honey moon Fiancee's background Age: 27 Income: about 210k monthly Salary acc bal: about 1 million Travel history: Nil We intend to get married in may and I intend to pick a date for the interview a little after d wedding. What are our chances? I also own a furniture manufacturing business with an impressive turnover, would it be wise to talk about it. The company is a limited liability with an impressive income. |

lankywizar: I will be getting married in August and I intend to spend my honeymoon in the US. I intend to do the court wedding in June before the interview, looking at a July date. We intend to stay in a hotel. Is there a way we can apply as a couple? Also I have to get a date as soon as possible,what do we fill as our marital status on the ds 120 form? I and my finacee are both bankers and our cummulative salary is over 500k per month, I have been to the uk and dubai several and I was denied a us visa in febuary last yr. What are our chances as she has a virgin passport. |

Hello People, My brother intends to go visit his wife studying in the UK this summer, We are really confused on the application for to use. Some have advised that we use Vaf1b-Family visit but I'm of the opinion that vaf1a-General visitor should be used since his wife isnt a UK permanent residence and also he will be staying at a hotel since she resides in the school hostel. Hello, I was denied a UK visit visa, the ECO as quoted "You stated that u will fund your proposed trip and have submitted your personal bank statements from XX Bank, as evidence of your finances. Your monthly income is equivalent of 950 GBP, the credits and balances in your account is not commensurate with your declared monthly salary. You have not provided evidence of the progin of these cash payments, more so you closing balance is over 4 times your monthly income, I am not satisfied bla bla bla" I have gone thru my statement closely and I often make withdrawals and deposit from my accounts. First major deposit was in September 2011, We have a small contribution in my office and It was my time to pack (Aje things) I received 180k. The other months I was always paying out my contribution. Secondly the other two lump deposit was a loan that I gave to a college that was being paid back. The first I transfered directly to his account and he transfered back to me while paying, the second I withdrew cash and he paid me back with a cheque. I intend re applying explaining all these. Please Kindly advice. |

@ ADEBYTE Thanks. I have the following documents prepared: 1. Employment Letter 2. Reference Letter from my Company's HR dept 3. Six Month Pay Slip 4. Six Month Bank Statement 5. Fixed Deposit Certificate 6. Hotel Reservation Confirmation Can you advice on any other document to attach. I go an advice for someone about travel itinerary( not so sure of what to write in this) I intend staying for 10days @ Justwise I need your input on this also |

@ADEBYTE Thank you for your swift response, my situation has changed a lot since the. Then I just finished my NYSC without any job, my brother inlaw who resides in Nigeria volunteered to sponsor me for my masters degree, I think the ECO was not comfortable with the fact that he used his company account of which he is the sole signatory quoting my refusal letter bearing in mind that it was a limited liability company with other directors, turnover on the account was excellent. Also he had 4 kids of which I stated in my application form because they were also holder of UK visa who were all below 10 yrs and the ECO pointed out that he still had a lot of responsibilities on his side. I appealed and it was turned down. Soon after I started work and now I decided to give it a try. |

My brother inlaw was my sponsor then and they had doubt that he willingly wanted to sponsor me. |

Hello, I intend apply for a visit visa to the UK. I earn about 200k monthly and work in one of the leading banks. I have about 800k in my salary account and also a fixed deposit investment of about 1.3m in anoda bank. I was denied a UK study visa in 2008. I went on a 2 week vacation dubai last august. Thanks for your post. I intend to stay in a hotel, wouldn't that suffice for the invitation letter. I have my payslips and bank statement handy. I can also collect a letter from my employer stating my annual income |
