Good evening mothers.
Please, my 15days old daughter cries a lot at night and it's just too much for me because we usually end up not sleeping at all and my mum said it's navel ( cord fell off at 6days) that's paining her that's why. She bought medicine (herbal) called stomach cool (shuaibu) for baby, i refused (because I feel her kidneys are too tender to filter such things) and she became angry and doesn't even answer or help me when baby cries at night. She even reported me to my aunts and they've all been saying their own mind. What could be the problem and reason for such cries and what can I do or give to her if it's truly navel to ease the pain? Can herbal medicine be given to her also so I don't make a mistake in stopping my mum as she's already making me feel like I don't know what I am doing by not allowing her give her the herbal medicine
2. My breast milk pours too much that it chokes baby when she sucks and it also pours and stain my clothes (I have bought different brands and types of breast pads yet it doesn't hold) how do I prevent it from choking baby?
NB: I usually express into her bottles to feed or sometimes throw away and it becomes full and rock hard as if I didn't express it. In fact, I don't make use of the breast pump I bought as it pours out like tap.
3. Just noticed some rash like things inside her veejay this evening and I usually rub ori on it before using diaper on her, change her diaper immediately she messes it and I don't even allow it get full before changing it. What can I use to prevent the rash as it's making me seriously worried o.
This same rash was on her cheeks and neck immediately we left the hospital, it cleared without me using anything for it and now it's on her forehead also and I don't like it at all. What can I use?
4. Whenever she wants to pop, she squeezes her face and makes sounds as if it's strong yet she'll just drop one watery egusi like poo. Is it normal to make the sound and face thing?
5. Oga Google said they shouldn't bath babies everyday. How true is this? Won't it cause body odour as some people believe? For now, we bath everyday but use sponge and her bath wash for just 4times a week.
Help a ftm please and don't pass me by.

I think yours is okay, if something is wrong, you'll probably be in much more pain than you're describing. You can ask hubby to check or you check using a mirror too. In my opinion its best to just care for the site as you were told and leave it alone. Obsessing with it leads to depression . As long as it's kept clean, and you're not doing any inappropriate work, it would heal quickly. When you need to sit, try sit on harder surfaces like plastic or wooden chairs. Sitting on soft mattrasses or sofas disturbs the site.

God bless you ooo. Sincerely there's a difference when I sit on my mattress, sofa compared to when I sit on stool. So mattress makes it painful chai! Now I know better. Pls new mum in the house. How do you treat episiotomy wound. Gave birth on Wednesday and doctor advice sitzbath (lukewarm water and salt) three times daily. Followed the process judiciously but my wound broke down( stitches got loose when I went to poo). Had to go back for resuturing today. (It hurts)
I constipate alot during pregnancy and also had hemorrhoids.

We're in the same shoe o but I don't know if mine is loosed or not it just prick me and when I want to sit, it hurts a bit but I can sit comfortably. How do I know it's loosed please?? Interesting BS. It reminds me of a colleague who said when she wanted to have her first baby she got to the hospital and told the nurse she has come to birth her baby & the nurses were laughing that when you're in labor you won't say it but your actions.

Sunday night at around 11pm, I started feeling cramp like pains and I thought nothing of it. Monday morning, it kept on coming and going and I decided to time it and I realized that it lasted for 20-35 seconds and sometimes 10 mins to 15 mins apart. In my mind, I was like yes this is it ok after all, EDD was there already. I asked here and some mamas said hospital
Monday evening, my mum arrived and when I told her, she said go to the hospital to be sure just in case it happens at the middle of the night. I jejely carried my slay hand bag, wore my slaying gown and even wore G-string sef to the hospital coz I thought they'll tell me to go back home. Got to the hospital and the nurse said come let me check you well, I went with her and she checked and said you're 3cm gone, call your people to bring baby's things and the rest.
Called my mum, she brought everything I needed and I asked her to go home and rest as someone else was there with me.
From 7pm till 6am the next morning, I was just 5cm gone and they said I was slow but we're hopeful I'd give birth before night. Nurses handed over and changed shift, by 8am the new nurses started duty and when she read how slow I was going, she complained and she decided to stay with me and see. She brought her chair, sat opposite me and was with me. Around 11-12pm I was just 6cm and she said if she allows me, I won't progress on time so she fixed oxytocin drip and that's how it all started. I saw my father's grave again, again and again.
The pain became unbearable, if it hits me, I'd shout and she'd rub my waist telling me sorry, told her I wanted to poo, she said no way so I assured her it wasn't baby and she allowed me to poo.
The pain was too much told her to remove the drip she refused, I begged for CS and she said no that I can do it so I should do it, I should talk to God and my baby. I told God not to allow the nurses on night duty meet me there and he should do a miracle, told baby to please help me too.. Nurse checked, said I have a soft cervix but she's surprised why I wasn't dilating quickly
By 2:50pm, felt another urge to poo, told the nurse and she said I should wait because water wasn't broken and was no where to be found then she told me to push if the urge comes. I tried pushing and she saw the water and was able to break it. She then said if the pain or urge comes next, I should push so baby can come out.
When the next pain hit me, I tried to push and I couldn't push because I was tired and no strength. I told her that I couldn't so she should teach me. Well, I tried my best and pushed, they realised that the place was too small for her to pass so I was given a tear and I tried pushing again. With 3 pushes, she came out by 3:05pm crying with cord holding her legs . Her weight was checked, and they were surprised she weighed 3.4kg and didn't tear me as I was too tight
Time to stitch came, and I wasn't given injection o na so another drama start. I could feel every inch of the needle and when I asked for injection, was told that it'll slow my healing process and would also take time because they'll inject me at different spots. I resigned myself to fate and kept crying. The nurse was stitching as if she was sewing party dress gently.
By 3:45pm, we were done, I jejely carried my baby myself to my bed to rest and I couldn't stop looking at her . My labor for 20hrs was staring right back at me and my joy knew no bounds.

Please mama's in the house, I have been having serious on and off contractions that comes for like 20 seconds and stop giving me only 15-20mins before another hits me again.

Cappo I am tired sincerely speaking . Anxiety and depression is trying to get the better part of me. The kicks, leg seizure, heart palpitations, abdominal pains, tightening, little contractions and all is not even helping me. Good morning ma.
Pain has stopped totally o but my walking steps has added some swags to it .. I noticed at night that when I try to stand up to wee, the pain comes and if I turn, I feel as if water is turning with baby. Honestly I'm tired already.
Someone told me that too much turning on the bed causes cord around baby's neck. How true is it?

I can't walk properly again as my legs seize at intervals, I can't walk straight also and I have to part my legs a bit wide to be able to walk. Sleeping on my side is hell right now because my left sides ache badly and the right side makes baby hiccup a lot and my vjay feels to heavy to be mine. What should I do?

I prayed to God just for my dad to wait till my baby was born, and now I got the shocker of my life after everyone lied to me about it... My dad is no more, I promised him 3days back to bring my baby to see him, for him to just hold on after all he was not sick.. Life took away the man who means so much to my life... Can't even think straight
