Hi guys, what could be possibly done for a 494 holder to transition to 190 (not 191). The holder has used less than 3yrs (used 1 and half ) and a state has agreed to approve to nominate for 190. The state later sent an unofficial message asking if there's anything to be done that can make the 494 holder eligible for the 190. Everything the state needed for the 190 has been cross-checked and they have finalized that to be perfectly okay. Please help

Thank you.

it’s case on a case by case basis .. I suggest you email them and follow their directive… btw the fee is about 140$, but you have to pay the who $800+ in full and then get refunded afterwards

Thanks for this reply. The assessment was for Commercial Cookery and it came out positive in 2019 (that time, there was need to have (Nigerian Diploma = AQF Cert III with 3 years experience). As at the time of assessing it in 2019, it was about 4yrs experience so no work experience point was given. Now that there is an extra 3yrs Australian experience [Same work Place and Same Cook], do you think 10points for 3yrs Australian experience is claimable when submitted to DHA without asking for the experience to be assessed by Assessing body ? Thank you for your time.
bellong:

So I understand you, your assessment was completed using the first 3 years of work experience prior to having Australian experience right?

If that is so, all experience post assessment that are within the same occupation will count towards experience points. Yes, you can use them for Australian experience points if gotten within Australia.

In your assessment outcome letter, VETASSES would have noted two things at least
1. One year qualifying experience deducted from your experience.
2. Experiences not relevant to occupation being assessed will not count towards the assessment.

Please how long did this take and how much was charged ***asking for a friend ***
bellong:

I forgot to add that there is an administrative fee. You will be told when you call.

Please... What I want to know is this, the Australian experience was not assessed for points with vetassess but just the qualification and the important 3 years post study experience needed to have a positive outcome. Do you think DHA will approve points for the new "unassessed" Australian experience gotten years after the assessment?
LondonBook:
Please explain this.
"You can only claim points for employment if the employment was in your nominated skilled occupation or a closely related skilled occupation; and you were employed for the relevant periods set out in the table, in the 10 years before you are invited to apply. "

The experience was not assessed when doing the assessment with VetAssess in 2019. Just the occupation was successfully assessed with the necessary 2yrs that accompanied the AQF Cert III as Cook.

There's employment of over 4yrs in the ANZSCO Unit Group but part of it was used for assessment on VetAssess. In the Australian skilled employment – (in Australia):, can the 4yrs Australian be used for claiming the 3 to 5yrs Australian experience point of 10 or does it mean the experience after VetAssess removed their 2years work experience from the 4 yrs ?

Don't bother about Accounting for Skilled Migration to Australia. Although you may look towards study route if Australia is your thing by taking a program that is always going to be important in the next fews years by the time you graduate. Also, make sure the program would not need more than 1yr experience or the one that wouldn't need work experience at all (Engineering blokes are lucky with this). Even as said, you will still struggle with a lot of things to catch up with being nominated.

Use BSc only if your 5yrs experience started before or during the MSc. and the BSc must be 5yrs or from Tier 1.

Electrician assessment is tough most especially with TRA. Also, you will need to go for another stage of assessment in South Africa or UK before you can be successfully assessed as Electrician. If you can find draftsperson Assessment or similar, you should have it better.
2021new:

I have pgd in electrical /electronics engineering.
I don't understand what you mean by fitter occupation.
TRA looks more like trade test when I look it up so am a bit confused

Engineering Technologies is skill level 1. Using HND will come out negative.
tunlex01:

In most cases, it’s always engineering technologist not a professional engineer. Which occupation/Anzsco code are you nominating?

Help with one more question. Is it possible for a person who has Certificate in a Skill Level III occupation without transcript apply for assessment with VETASSESS?

Who has gone through this before ?
Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by LondonBook: 12:38pm On May 20, 2019
Thanks for your reply. When I checked with the Skillselect, my spouse occupation gave me the 5 points and could this mean this would work ?

fatima04:

I believe It will fly for 190 Visa category but not for 189 because both occupation has to be on MLTSSL.

To confirm this, update your EOI for 190 with the occupation and see your total score change before submitting, if it doesn't then it's not acceptable.

Someone please come to my rescue. I've checked different threads. Please help !!!

LondonBook:
Kindly clarify this. Will it fly for 5 points if husband's occupation is on 190 list and wife's occupation is also on the same state 190 list or does it have to be on the same MLTSSL ? Verified answer is required please.

There's no reason to include the HND as it is unrelated to the occupation as an educator. You can email the assessment body the credentials before applying.

Laheelow:

Thanks for your quick response.
Should I send the NTI certificate and transcript + evidence of teaching practice only or the HND certificate should be included?
Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by LondonBook: 9:09pm On May 17, 2019
NTI with 1 year verifiable Teaching Practice would work.

Laheelow:
Greetings to everyone in the house. I will like my wife to assess her credentials as well so as to get additional 5 points for partner. She is a teacher in primary school but has HND in chemical engineering + PGDE in education from NTI. Can she get a positive assessment from AITSL?

Please, how many points would be awarded for an outcome that came with Associate Degree/Advanced Diploma? I need confirmed answer as I already know BSc and Diploma points. Just wondering the point that would be awarded to this AQF Level.

Still need help. Please can Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery without Experience work for Assessment or Cert 4 in Commercial Cookery without Experience. Please reply.

LondonBook:
Is it possible to claim wife's occupation is on Short-term list while the husband's occupation is on Long-Term list even though they are both on the 190 ? Also, kindly clarify this for me " Does TRA need work experience to assess a Certificate 3 from Australian Institution in Commercial Cookery ?" Australian Bureau of Statistics site says AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training but I want to be crystal clear on this.

Commercial Cookery is under Skill Level: 3

Hello House, I'm not claiming experience but I'm about to submit my EA assessment using my Projects as CE. Please explain this to me;

If you have not applied for the additional assessment of your relevant skilled employment, you are required to submit employment evidence for each relevant employment period of 12 months or more, or if a career episode is based on an employment period. If you have no relevant skilled employment, simply tick the box below. If you have applied for the additional assessment of your relevant skilled employment, then you will need to submit documentary evidence for each period of employment you wish to be assessed for.

Am I to click I don’t have any relevant work experience. ? Since I'm not claiming point, for experience can I choose that. Please HELP!

Thanks
