Any brand of shotguns (widely known as pump action) and certain specifications of hunting rifles.

You can even purchase it through police and military sources and be rightly given a licence for it for a small fee.

Ok thank you

You're not allowed to own a pistol as a self-defence weapon in Nigeria, please. And no police officer is authorised to give you a licence or permit for one.

If you know any police officer who issues permits for pistols to the public for money, kindly mention his name here and I promise you he'll be dismissed outrightly from the force in less than 4 days and further convicted on felony charges.

And you who's owning a pistol with an illegal permit, you'll be jailed for it cause no judge anywhere will listen to your case even if you predicate it on ignorance.

So what type(s) can one own legally here in Nigeria

Where Are The Cows, Is Evans A Herdsman?

Tinubu has never spoken against the deadly activities of Fulani herdsmen across the country.

He was asking for the cows before he would condemn the Fulani killer herdsmen.
Hope he finds them.

I am not one of Tinubu’s supporters but the man did condemned the bad incident.

Good day Nairalanders.

Suppose someone wants to embark on a journey from Lagos to London via road.
What are the best route to follow?
Which of the countries along the route accept visa on arrival?
What is the estimated budget for such a trip?
Traveling from Nigeria to London via road is not a good thing to do. Don’t be deceived, I know it is very easy on paper.

Immigration agents and touts will take all your cash even if you have all the visas to pass through their countries

It will be better if you can enter any of those countries you mentioned with a work permit but other than that, please stay here because you have a good job here in Nigeria.

Phones / Re: Phone I Ordered From Aliexpress Is Being Held By Nigerian Customs by mamawa123: 9:12am On May 19, 2022
onlinetrader:
Hi Nairaland Family..

I don't know if I am the only one to have observed this. These days, when you buy items like phone from AliExpress, the tracking moves smoothly until it reads "Received by Local Delivery Company". Sometimes, when it gets to this point, it stays there forever..and if at all it leaves this point and you want to claim it in the local post office, you will be charged heavily by the people in the post office.

Bought so many items like a month ago, out of which was a Poco phone. All other items have been delivered except this phone which I first ordered. This phone got to destination country (NGN) on the 8th of May before other items...but till now, tracking shows it hasn't left the custody of Nigerian customs.

What is the problem exactly? Is it that the phone has been "hijacked" OR the process to clear items like phone is different from wears and other items?

Please help

Nigerian customs will ask you to pay import duty on the phone. Next time use private shipper.

Thank You very much for always answering my questions.

I have another one as usual

Though i have not gotten to the final submission stage as i am still trying to perfect my supporting documents and see that the form is filled appropriately.

Just as the self introduction letter, i was told that i need to also write a cover letter saying more about the additional explanation and breaking down any huge or unexplained lump sum in my bank statement with explanation.

So my question is that, am i to address this cover to the VO or i can just write it without addressing it to the VO.
Address it the way you address the introduction letter.

You can write introduction letter and also write a standalone letter of explanation to explain the lump sum

Or

You can include your lump sum explanation and other information in your introduction / cover letter.

How about Nigeria to UK for unvaccinated adults please

Travel to England rules:
When you travel to England, you:

- do not need to complete a UK passenger locator form before you travel
- do not need to take any COVID-19 tests before you travel or after you arrive
- do not need to quarantine when you arrive

This applies whether you are vaccinated or not.

It includes people who are transiting through England.

Other countries may have rules about what you need to do to leave the country to travel to England. You should check travel advice for the country you are travelling from.

Hello good people,
Kindly help confirm if an unvaccinated traveller returning to Nigeria from UK, needs to do a PCR test and book days 2 and 7 tests in Nigeria.
Thank you

Yes, unvaccinated passenger needs PCR test. Day 2 and 7 are required also.

All passengers travelling to Nigeria from any country MUST register via the online Nigeria International Travel Portal (nitp.ncdc.gov.ng)

Fully vaccinated passengers arriving in Nigeria will not be required to carry out a pre-boarding COVID-19 PCR test nor carry out a Post-arrival PCR test or Rapid Antigen Test upon arrival in Nigeria

Fully vaccinated passengers must show a verifiable full vaccination certificate otherwise, they will be treated as unvaccinated/partially vaccinated under this protocol

Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated passengers are required to take a COVID-19 PCR test 48hrs before departure and conduct days 2 and 7 post-arrival PCR tests. Such passengers will be expected to pay for their PCR tests through the NITP

Children below the age of 18 years will be accorded the same privileges as persons who are fully vaccinated.

Passengers who do not adhere to the travel protocol will face the penalty as stipulated by the Presidential Steering Committee (PSC) on COVID-19

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen.
Greetings to you all.
I am new in the house.
I have also read questions, suggestions and answers been given by the house members.
Kudos to you all and I must commend all your efforts and resilience in helping others. May God almighty bless you all.
My question is.............
I am a Nurse with BNSC in Nursing, a Registered Nurse and as well a Registered midwife. Been practicing for two and halve years now.
Please house..... what will be my best shot in terms of School to choose and area of Speciality in Nursing in achieving my desired dream.
Please any Nurse in the house, friends to a nurse or anybody who knows about Nursing profession in Australia should help me out with informations.
Please............. Answer me!.

With your Bachelor degree in Nursing, jobs are waiting for you in UK, US and Canada.

You can use your degree to apply for UK jobs while you are here still here in Nigeria.

If education is your preference then you can further it while working and making money in UK.

I believe UK will be better and the process is cheaper in term of cost.

This is just my own opinion. I am not here to discourage you.

Ok thanks very much for the response.

Again, I will like to know if it is also necessary to scan and upload the visas on your old international passport since you filled about it in the immigration history and you won’t be submitting that passport cos its expired?

Also, for payment, does the platform seamlessly allow our naira debit Mastercard from our local banks or there is a designated debit card for such applications?

Yes you can scan and upload all the current and expired visas to show your travel history

You should be able to use the Naira Debit Master card
