unusualfavour: Truly, we need to cut IDP some slack as healthy competition would really do us some good in terms of price and favourable marking scheme. "Hell will have to freeze over" before BC would restart a tape for service failure. Last, last they will tell you to fill a complaint form which I doubt ever gets attention. What organization or country is in charge of IDP? What's the full meaning of MOD/IDP please. |

wholesomegrace: I didn't claim points for my husbands qualifications so I didn't fill anything under educational history but went ahead and included it under his personal history, hence no place holder was generated for his certificates. You can also do same Is it possible that you can go back on your application to put your spouse educational qualication supposing your crs was not high enough? Then at what point does one see or know the crs point? |

happytbaby: They are quick to offer aid jare, even they do not know the implication for people on tourist visas. Why I said 80k was just to quote example of an amount that you cannot easily pay back. If the amount is affordable now, you can try. If not , just leave it. Declare the issue. My dear lady was telling then as if it was my right. The amount was not easily payable then and now too. If i have that amount now my POF would almost be ready for whole family. I would just declare it and explain as much as possible when filling my application and trust God for favour and success. |

[quote author=happytbaby post=65462604]Good morning,
I do not have current information about what is going on in the "Give Birth in the US" thread but I know people have been able to resolve with the US in the past. It involved getting in touch with the hospital and paying 'the insurance" back.
It may be a herculean task but you may at least try. US hospitals are not exactly good at responding to communications. The main task is getting them to give you another bill to pay as they might say they do not have the information you require. Be persistent. However, if your case was all those ones that there were delivery issues and you ended up with bills of USD80k and co, do not bother, just leave it to God
Happytbaby my case was an emergency CS delivery and the bill was not up 80k but too huge for us at the time. At the time we sincerely didn't know the implication of accepting an insurance. I thought it was their standard practice when such emergencies happen or so I understood the explanation I was given. So when the insurance came through it was a huge relief and testimony. So sad that the relief wasn't a relief after all. |

lopside12: Decision to Migrate around Feb 2017 Family composition: Husband 31 Wife 32 Both: Masters, Husband IELTS 8: Wife IELTS 7. Both over 3 years experience. Husband IT/Web dev, Wife: Logistics and Supply chain. All in all husband became the primary applicant. with CRS Score at 465
Profile Created 4/10/2017.... ITA 5/10/2017...... Oh that was so fast: 1. cash was not complete for POF 2. Wife heavily pregnant. Adding to complete POF while spending as the baby arrived 19/10/2017.(Big struggle) Did passport a month after birth and did medicals on the 28/12/2017 Finally the money was complete. AOR 2/1/2018. Everyone went to sleep cos the hustle was read, actually expected to be at LVO cos we live in Dubai. 5/2/2018 medicals passed... (not too sure of the date) 20/2/2018 its PPR..
Make una no ask me about IP1 IP2 or NA nothing.. Seriously we were pursuing too much hustle to be bothered about where the application was. its not as easy as its typed. The financial part was a huge one.. Money was not readily available as we thought we had our own pre ITA timeline on our heads.. Thanks for the thread as this is where i got the inspectors number for police certificate he made that very easy. Congratulations lopside12, I tap into your testimony. Please can you furnish me with the Inspectors number if for Nigerian PCC. Thanks |

sleekchic: Hi, I don't know if this has been answered but my neighbor is currently in Canada on a PR visa and she also had her US visa cancelled and she was returned from the airport in 2016. But in her case she appealed and she won the case and presented all the documents of correspondence with the US government especially the last one stating they regret cancelling her visa, I don't know what your situation is but as long as it wasn't revoked on criminal grounds and you were cleared you should be alright. All the best. Thanks sleekchic, mine has not been cleared. But I am believing God that it would not affect my PR goal |

Emmasonic4me: Did you know you can get a refund of the harmonized sales tax (HST) after evaluating your credentials with WES??
I just stumbled on this(attached screenshots) and some people who tried it have recorded successful refund of $37.05. It was discussed that the HST is paid by Canadians and since we are not (at this point), it shouldn't have been part of the bill.
I used IQAS for my ECA so it doesn't apply. Please let's explore this and see what happens for those who used WES.
Caveat: I do not know yet if there's a time frame or validity period to ask for a refund. Does the above explanation mean that the refund can only be requested for after evaluation is complete?? |

Emmasonic4me: Please can folks here who used WES for ECA confirm if harmonized sales tax (HST) was part of the charge. Yes it is one of the charges, outside the 200CAD. They would show you the breakdown of the charges before and after your payment. |

Ethelia: Since none of us are IRCC agents, I don't think anyone can give you an authoritative answer on this. But personally, I don't think it will negatively impact the outcome of your application so long as you declare it upfront and in details (you will have to declare it anyway). The application will probably face a lot of scrutiny.
Let others weigh in Thanks Ethelia I would greatly appreciate other inputs and advice |

Ethelia: You need to give a bit more information. Why was your US visa revoked? were you also banned for a number of years?, etc I was not given a ban. But my visa was revoked cos I used B1/B2 visa for child birth and made use of some insurance during child birth. All that transpired at POE during my trip to birth my second child. After the immigration officer's explanation of my previous offences I was asked to withdrew my application to enter the US then and so my visa was also revoked. So do I have any positive stand in applying for Canadian residency? |

Maxxyfruit: My experienced members pls I have a question that needs urgent attention. I am about to start this Canadian express entry application but I am worried about my revoked US visa in 2016. Please I would like to know if anyone with a revoked visa case has gotten through to being issued a Canadian permanent residency. Is there any chance that after I have met all the EE requirements that I would be rejected (God forbid) because of a revoked US visa. Please I need helpful answers desperately. Thanks Please can someone kindly respond to my questions above |
