Overview

The objective of the Senior M&E Specialist position is to provide technical support at the country office level. This position will backstop all M&E activities for the program within the designated state and strengthening the facility records and data collection officers, ensuring quality and timeliness of data collection and reporting.

S/he will provide technical oversight and guidance to strengthen state-level M&E systems, ensuring proper orientation, mentoring and quality supervision to state M&E staff and M&E units in the State Ministries of Health and National Malaria Elimination Program(NMEP) in accordance with Global Fund requirements and in support of NMEP, State MEPs and the National Malaria Control Strategy.

Subsquent to the release of the Samsung Galaxy A30 and the A50 in India, a new variant of the series has leaked online. It is the Samsung Galaxy A60, which should technically be slotted above the A50 and A30, could be the next family member of the A-series.

The device is speculated to feature a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a FHD+ resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels) - considering the A50 had a similar resolution. There is a tiny water drop notch on top which Samsung likes to call Infinity-U.

The device is also speculated to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. For photography, it is expected to have a triple camera setup, with a 32-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5-megapixel sensor presumably to capture depth information to help in adding bokeh effect. At the front, the smartphone could feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

Regarding memory and storage, Samsung could offer 6GB or 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of inbuilt storage which should be expandable. Notably, the leak says that the Galaxy A60 will be powered by the Snapdragon 6150 chipset. This is the same chipset that was seen on a test device last year featuring the same 11nm architecture as the Snapdragon 675 but it has 8-cores with a base frequency of 1.80GHz. The smartphone is also expected to feature a big 4,500mAh battery and Android 9.0 Pie with Samsung's One UI on top.

The griup's National Coordinator Malam Yunusa Mohammed, stated that The Diplomatic Youth Movement of Nigeria (DYMN) decided to join allies with the Committee of Youth Mobilisation and Sensitisation (CYMS) which is a support group for the re-election of PMB in the interest of Nigerians and youths especially.

Yunusa made this decleration when he led embers of his organisation on a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the CYMS Board of Trustee, Mr Festus Uchenna.

“We support and strategise for any candidate we trust and want to work for, we have mobilisers across the federation who serve as our foot soldiers.

“Elections are actually worn at the grassroots, and that is our base, from where we are going to start working from,“ he said.

Mohammed, however, noted that information reaching those at the grassroots, especially on the achievements of the APC Buhari-led administration had not really been robust, adding that his organisation was ready to change the narrative.

He stressed that his organisation would be ready and willing to work and carry out any responsibility that may be assigned to it, so long as it was aimed at ensuring Buhari`s re-election come Feb. 16.

Mr Obinna Nwaka, CYMS Director-General who received the group, said President Buhari had done so well, and had given youths of the country a sense of belonging.

Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili, one of the 73 presidential candidates in next month’s election has quit the race, in a shock announcement Thursday morning.

Her spokesman Ozioma Ubabukoh, said the former minister and vice-president of the World Bank stepped aside to help build a coalition to defeat the All Progressives Congress and the People’s Democratic Party in the February 16, 2019 election.

Ezekwesili said her decision to withdraw from the race followed extensive discussions with Nigerians at home and the Diaspora. Recall that prior to her desire to run for the post of the president of the country, she was the National leader of the Red Card movement

According to her, the action is also prompted by an examination of the country’s electoral environment sequel to the 2019 presidential debate of Saturday, January 19, 2019.

“This decision followed extensive consultations with leaders from various walks of life across the country over the past few days. I deem it necessary for me to focus on helping to build a veritable coalition to ensure a viable alternative to the #APCPDP in the forthcoming elections,” the statement read.

“It is my ardent belief that this broad coalition for a viable alternative has now become more than ever before, an urgent mission for and on behalf of Nigerian citizens. I have therefore chosen to lead the
way in demonstrating the much needed patriotic sacrifice for our national revival and redirection.

“I wish to state that over the past three months, I have been in private, but extended talks with other candidates to birth a coalition that would allow Nigerians to exercise their choice without feeling helplessly encumbered by the evil twins of #APCPDP.
