Towerofgrace: You should know that getting a visa is a privilege and not a right. The visa officer reserves the right to deny your visa application with reasonable reasons. While some will see your medical tourism as no big deal, most will flag this as giving birth in Canada is expensive for foreigners and this is where scrutiny comes from. Order for your gcms notes (Google search : gcms note) and see the exact reason you were denied. This might take anywhere from 30+ days to be available. 1 Like |

sam4774:I know it is not easy, all I am saying is the loophole you think is easy or the way out might turn out to be way more than expected. You have waited this long to unite, why not wait a little longer. This ban is temporary! Either way, good luck ! 5 Likes 1 Share |

Oceanfield: As at 1 December, travellers from Nigeria will not be allowed entry into Canada. Except they are PR and citizens, they can but have to do a PCR test at a transit point. Simply put: if you are coming as a tourist or visitor; stay in Nigeria until the restrictions are lifted! |

Nobody can vouch anything. It is what it is. Last I heard, there was a one day service which costs an extra $200 for admin fees. I am not sure if that is still available. If you need to travel to Naija, abike and aregbesola said, you can come home with expired kpali. If you need it for something else, reach out to those folks and ask for extension. Even immigration grants extensions for things like this. Fatkideric: |

zeb04: No one can really give you an answer that is certain as no one knows the future. Do what’s best for you. Moreover, if you are doing a PhD because lucrativeness, maybe you should stop now and do something else. Because, down the line lucrativeness will vanish and only passion will carry you through. Again, do what’s best for you. 3 Likes |

tizah2020: Honestly, nobody really cares if you got a degree in UK or US or even in Nigeria. All that matters is what you are bringing to the table, when you get employed. Heck, most job here just requires high school diploma. So, do whatever works best for you. 4 Likes |
