bunburized: Ok. I will just jettison the idea. My boo is saying he will use a freight forwarder or EMS to send me the food items I will need. I remember he sent some foodstuffs 2011 to Turkey using EMS.
I have more than enough to eat out for the whole programme if I wish but I also like to have a little savings after the programme.
A little cooking and hopefully some few hrs of work should make me save money I can use to set up business when I come back to Nigeria(Yes, I don't intend staying 1 extra day in the UK after my studies).

that's a very good idea at least if Nigeria can get more students like you who are willing to return home after studies i think in the next coming 8-10 years Nigeria will be full of great things..

roblance: Bro which school were you admitted to? Do they have low tuition?

it will be difficult to see a school with low tuition in U.K and even if you do see i suggest you make inquiries very well so you wont get a bogus admission. you also have to consider the fact that you are a Msc student and you wont expect the tuition for Bsc and Msc to be the same or even close.

bunburized: My Dad just requested for the list of items I will need with respect to my trip to the UK so he can "bless" me. I told him after the Xmas.
Please I need the assistance of those who have gone through same process to know exactly what should be included in such a list.
The list should include what I need here in Nigeria before I leave and also what I will need in the UK.
My destination is Manchester/Salford.

you really don't need anything out of the normal stuffs you know too that's cloths, sweaters, good sinkers above all you need money. But to mention other things then you get a good winter jacket to start with. Although is still around 7degrees but it will eventually drop.

as long ad your money is way bigger than the minimum then you can care less about the oanda thing..

keep in mind that the idea of that interview to start with is to know how proficient you are on English lang. they may ask something like what course you applied for, the reason you applied for the course, the reason you choose your collage, where you will be living when you get to Britain but at the end of the day, you dont have to worry too much about the interview as long as you respond with good English best of lucks

well as long as you know the minimum you can withdraw to avoid ruining your application and its important that you check with oanda.com to see the exchange rate so to make sure that you indeed have more that the required amount as that is what the home office will be using to convert the money in your account.

beautyuche: The school has responded and will not be issuing another cas.They also advised i follow up the administrative review.On the other hand i defar my admission to september.

oh sorry...... I feared that might happen but the good thing is september is just months away from now in the next few days we ll be in 2014 and really i think September will be very good or you so that you will have enough time to put things together.

beautyuche: The school actually informed me of the 28 days duration as a condition to issue me cas when they saw my account detail dey told me i will not meet up with the cas deadline .on presenting them with a sponsorship letter they released the cas now if cas was issued on that grounds why will embassy refuse on similar grounds considering i already presented same document that brought about the cas in d first place.Do u understand.

yea i do understand...... i also do understand your frustration with the home office, i once was in similer position if not worse but you gotta keep one thing in mind, they make all the decisions and they dont answer to the school matter of fact the school answers to them.

beautyuche: My best option rilly is to wait for the schools response as i already sent them an email on Saturday. I applied for the bank statement which was issued till November 28. if I am to reapply it means that will be till january.all my eggs are on d schools response as they already gave a cas deadline of 6th december. Do u think they will refuse issuing another cas? I just wish i had come to this forum early enuf...sharing with u guys have been so educating and helpful.God bless u all

thats basically the point i was tryna make. All your eggs like you called it lies on the schools response on a new cas request. about the school refusing to send you a cas telling you with experience i think its a 50-50 chance. the reason is
1. schools in UK try very hard not to violate the UKBA rules as the home office expect them to give every student guidelines on what they need to do befor applying for a tiar 4 visa and on that note what i feel your school will do before issueing another cas is ask you to send all the supporting documents you applied your tiar 4 visa with. then they will go through all of them and tell you the ones you will remove and the ones you will add after that they might or might not, ask you to send the new ones they request you add to make sure its correct as they wont want your visa to be refused again. now you see why i said its 50-50 cos these things will take time and consedering the deadline time set you just have to pray if you belive in prayers because in some cases of visa refusal they allow students more time now after all that, thats when in my opinion i feel they will send you another Cas.

beautyuche: Thank you so much I keep hearing appeal will lead to waste of precious time so i hope the school send me another cas letteter today if i had waited before applicaztion my account would have been okay as the time to complete 28 days was 19th december.
Now i have to transfere back into that account cause i sent the funds to my savings account after i printed out the bank statement.
Also will i need to print another bank statement if the school issue me another cas letter today.

i think you should try and write your school first about the refusal which if am right you are planning to do today, wait by the end of the day and see what their reply is and yea yow will need to print out another bank statement as you are eing considered as making a fresh application. appeal or rather Administrative Review which i think was what you meant to say will waste your precious time as you heard.

beautyuche: I applied for this visa 10th December and today is 20th considering weekend i will say it came out pretty fast.I honestly don't have a problem with another application fee though expensive its worth trying as next class begins September 2014 a long wait if you ask me.Thank you for your advice i will have to really consider it and hope the school responds fast Monday morning

beautyuche: The school refused to issue cas on ground that my account could not carry the maintenance fee until i got a sponsor they released it. i felt that will surfice as i was to tender same document i sent to the school to have gotten the cas in the first place

its twisted really....... paying the money into your account that will be due by 22 of jan i doubt if your visa will be granted giving the fact that it takes 14working days. The only thing you can do right now is to, first of all let your school know, when they send you a new cas the documents you are suppose to submit to the home office should all be stated there. then your sponsors should preparer a letter stating that they will cover all your expenses and you make reference about the refusal on the additional page and also state that your sponsor will be paying all your expenses the unfortunate thing is that you will have to pay another application fee but fingers crossed this time it will be granted. but putting the money in your account at this time personally i dont think it will work cos you haven't got the time unles the your school will give a written consent of allowing you more time due to your visa difficulties if not, thats not an option in my opinion.

I applied my self.all process I did myself. My sponsor account statement reached and surpassed their requirement.........funny part they never mentioned it in the refusal letter.........I just Hope the school will be open Monday to issue me another cas.
I was just told by a friend that if i re apply i should not state that i have money rather that the money to be spent is that of my sponsor....what is your take on that

cool..... since you applied your self, write your school an e mail attaching the scanned copy of the refusal letter. meanwhile, i hope you do know that an official financial sponsor must be an international company i.e a company that has a presence out of Nigeria? if your sponsors company met all the requirement and surpassed like you said then you have to re apply with a new cas and on the application form where they said additional information i think its on part 8 or 9, address the fact that your whole expenses both tuition, accommodation and living will be covered by your official sponsor. then get your sponsor to refer to that on the sponsorship letter he/she will give you, that he/she has agreed to cover all your expenses during your stay in the UK. then reapply you will be fine.

p.s i hope your school knows that you have an official financial sponsor? cos they will be making a reference to that on your cas. if they dont know then that might have been the prob, its important that you let em know so to reference that on your new cas.

first off did you apply through an agent or did you apply directly by your self? if you did apply through an agent let him/her know ASAP (thats if you haven't told them.) they should be able to write the school so that they will provide you with another cas. you cant use one cas twice. if they provide you with a new cas. it would be better if you make another application than to appeal against it cos it takes up to 28 days to review and time isw something you haven't got.

p.s did your sponsors bank statement reach the required amount?

for those that wanna get a degree in Business school. University of Essex is the best.

danny4sure: For those who have gotten their visa for Jan intake, please when you received the sms or mail that the Documents are ready for collection,did it state if the Visa was approved or not Cos my cousin got an Sms today without any information about the visa status (ie if refused or granted).

if she has got an sms from the home office she should go and collect her passport. the sms wont state whether the visa is granted or refused
