Me: *shocked* I didn't pay to get the job.

Officer: who told you about it
Me: I overheard some people talking about it at the place where I was doing voluntary care work.
Officer: the registration, did someone help you to register?
Me: yes (I actually didn't understand the question?
Officer: who is the person? How much did you give the person?
Me: no, I did not pay any money to anybody apart from the exam I paid for, visa fee and medicals.
Officer: you wrote exam? Which exam?
Me: IELTS
Officer: what was your score?
Me: 7.5
Officer: oh... Let me see the results
Me: *searched the file I was holding and couldn't find the result ooo* please can I check the other file inside my bag?
Officer: take all the time you want and show me the result.
Me: *searched and found it*
Officer: wow! This is you. You are intelligent. 7.5 on IELTS. You have recommendation?
Me: *I handed it to him" *he either made or received one call at that moment*
Officer: how are you going to be paid?
Me: ££££
Officer: per hour (he expected me to add that from the way he said it)
Me: yes, per hour
Officer: can I see your offer letter?
Me: here it is.
Officer: why did you choose to do care job?
Me: I have the passion for caring for people especially those who are vulnerable and can not do anything for themselves. I like to make them happy and feel alive.
Officer: why?
Me: my Brother died at a time he needed someone to care for him but no one was there for him then. That's part of the reason I decided to focus on my passion and care for others.
Officer: what where you doing before now? Do you have other educational qualifications?
Me: I was working and doing voluntary care work.
Officer: where did you work?
Me: xyz company (it is a French company in Naija)
Officer: do you have friends and family in the UK?
Me: No
Officer: you are alone in the world
Me: *smile* I have family back home
Officer: who?
Me: my mother, 3 Sisters and my Son.
Officer: *abruptly looked up from what he was looking at on his desk* you have a Son? Who is going to take care of him now that you are here?

Officer: where is the father?
Me: I don't know where he is.
Officer: what do you mean?
Me: it was a three months relationship. I got pregnant and he disappeared.
Officer: *put his hand on his forehead and shook his head* when you settle down, you will go and get him in.
Me: definitely 😁
Officer: I will stamp you in. Welcome to the UK. You are hardworking, keep it up, hard work pays. *He stamped and handed my passport and documents to me*
Me: thank you Sir. Will that be all?
Officer: yes, you can go through there 👉👉👉

Immediately I passed him, I brought out my phone and called my family with excitement and that was how I missed the entrance to pick my luggages 😂😂😂🤣🤣. I almost crase when I realised ooo. I got my bags about an hour later.

Your 1.5m currently as at today is equivalent to 1,491pounds, what if before the 28 days naira deprecaites more lets say 1 pounds -1200 naira, your 1.5m when converted will end up becoming lower than the require 1,270 or so required by home office which will sabotage your built POF.

So you see why he asked you to raise it up to 1.8m to be in a safer side.

No, you can be married and not change your name on your passport. I have friends who have applied and are in the UK now with their wives making use of their maiden name on passport because of the rigours of going to Abuja to change name on their passport. So you're good to go

I think he is saying this from his own point of view but not to discourage others. The truth is experience is the best teacher but last last things everybody will be alright.
The naked truth is once you enter youkay,it might be rough at the beginning for few months if you dont come with enough raba to start with especially with these useless agents that issue CoS with promise of work after collecting huge raba and ended up not giving you shift .
That is the norms now whether we like it or not because i'm still battling this issue.
Imagine bringing in over 15 people from different African countries(Nigerians inclusive) and telling them that you are still looking for contract to sign to give them shift after they have all been in the youkay for close to 2 months. It is well.

People that come in and start work immediately find it eazy in youkay and will never complain at all.

How are you tackling this issue? Getting another employer that will sponsor? I guess you're working for the extra 20hrs while doing so. However I want to know what will happen to taxes during this period of since your fulltime contract didn't provide any shift ?

Yes!That’s how they heat up the polity and put pressure on japarians it’s very unfortunate. The UK never came out to announce that any changes have been made as regards to care workers, people are still applying for visa under the code that has always been used. I wonder why our Nigerians in the UK keep doing this and causing panic for those intending to relocate.

There are some agencies that are licensed sponsors who recruits people but most especially for Domiciliary care,those type of agents may not be doing active recruitment like that anymore. However ,real legit agents are like middlemen who work hand in hand with care homes they charge you money fast track your application and the care homes will schedule and interview and hire you asap. Those type are still working , they’re just middlemen that work closely with the care home managers and maybe HRs, so basically the care homes are recruiting you directly.

If nigeria has been suspended, it will be written in the home office website. You probably heard to rumors flying around about Nigeria been on the red list country. It not a new thing, Nigeria has been on the list for over 3 years, the only new thing about that list is that 8 more countries were added.

Don’t mind them . They come here to Post piffle and misinform other people . I blame justwise and other admins for not blocking these guys. The panic they’re creating is making this thread dull and uninteresting anymore.
This is engineered by some of our brothers and sisters in the UK who don’t want to see their people come over there too like them.

Got some documents in preparation for the announcement of this route. I abandoned my school route. Left 3 schools offers.

I sent over 1k applications. Sleep and wake on different job board. Downloaded and bomb sponsor list several times but all was unsuccessful. Manage to get 2 that was promising, they asked for some documents which I sent. One way or the other they stopped talking.

Probably, u or ur contacts fell into one of those people hand. Just like one dude said in the previous page that he got to UK and those agents sef no fear anything as he wanted to report them.
