please who has an idea about when nipost will do their capturing, documentation has been done since last year nov
Mummytwins42, be patient. NIPOST management is working on that. Those who were captured last year October only started receiving salary last month. The entire Abuja zone is also affected including those of you who were replaced in other zones. Hopefully, it wont exceed next month.

A couple of other MDAs too are affected. Be a little patient.

Your friend is not telling you the truth. No government MDA can pay below CONPSS. I know as at 2014-2015, level 08/2 was taking home a little less than N50,000 monthly.....later, I heard the new commissioner was lobbying for a salary review for the commission through the NSIWC and the NASS. I "think" they later added some allowances to their salary but it is still not as competitive as what is obtainable in some other agencies of govt.

maybe you should go through people's previous posts before you engage them in your stvpidity.

Unfortunately for you and your cohorts, I don't engage in tribal or religious bickering online or offline. Now, go find your equal or crawl back into oblivion. Good luck as you do so!

How can they shortlist you, the said masters not masters in view. So what document did you upload. Kai Nigeria my country.they want someone who has gotten the Masters already...Simple instruction una no go follow...That is why they have almost 30million applicant.if you have masters in view abi in sight you will be screamed out....
Did you read through the FAQs on the recruitment portal? I'm sure you didn't even bother to click the icon. Did you ever put a call through to the recruitment helpline?

You are trying to sound authoritative when in the actual fact, you are VERY ignorant. That is what happens when you rely on third party sites for information. Yes, it was clearly stated in the FAQ section that those currently undergoing their Master degree programme or about rounding up can apply. Don't bother replying this post. Argument is not my forté.

See your mouth like "how can they shortlist you". Are you the Head of HR at NNPC? grin Some people sef. Before you come here ranting, I finished my MSc in 2016 and convocated in 2017 but I couldn't overlook the over-confidence with which you were affirming your ignorance. Cheers!

Career / Re: How Best To Utilize The New Minimum Wage by naijainstinct: 10:09am On Mar 31
Ladiesdream:
Prof me dey earn #99k, salary structure conraiss.. abeg calculate my minimum wage. I'm in 8/2
Hmm....CONRAISS 8/2. For those who may not know, CONRAISS 8/2 is not equivalent to CONPSS 8/2 but CONPSS 9/2 in level even though the NET pay is still not equal. sad

@Ladiesdream, if I am right, you have either been promoted one level or you got your appointment with a second degree (i.e Master degree).
I dey even suspect say na NABDA or NASENI you dey...but no worry
grin

CONRAISS has a couple of allowances already merged into it and if all these remains CONSTANT......you will be earning #165,000+ on the new MW.
Bros, I need your address abeg grin

Career / Re: How Best To Utilize The New Minimum Wage by naijainstinct: 6:44am On Mar 30
Daviddson:
Previous minimum wage = ₦18k
New MW = ₦30k
Percentage increase = 12/30 * 100 = 40%

Previous salary = ₦66k
40% of ₦66k = ₦26.4k
New Salary = 66k + 26.4
= ₦92.4k Wrong calculation method. You can't use Proportion method to solve this kind of problem.
It is you who need to be schooled in mathematics.

The percentage increase between the previous MW of ₦18k and the new MW of ₦30k is 66.67%

The 40% increase you erronously calculated will amount to ₦25,200 instead of ₦30,000.
Bros, no allow NLC change am for you o

However, 66.67% increase on ₦18,000 will amount to ₦30,000.

Therefore, a 66.67% increase on ₦66k will amount to ₦110,002.20

BUT we cannot assume this is what the person who asked this question will earn based on the new MW. Salaries in the public service (a wider scope which includes the civil service) are based on structures. Hence, we have CONPSS (used by the civil service and consequently the poorest of all) and other salary structures used by other departments and agencies of government (CONTISS, CONRAISS, CONPASS, CONAFSS, CONMESS, CONHESS, CONTENDIS, CONPOSS, CONTOPSAL, etc).
This disparity in salary structures is the major reason why some entry-level graduates earn ₦49,000 monthly in some agencies/Ministries and another will earn ₦140,000, some ₦250,000 and some very lucky ones ₦400,000 monthly. That's a topic for another day anyway!

Having said that, I am guessing that the inquirer should be on Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure - CONPSS for his salary to be that low. Even at that, what is obtainable as monthly NET pay (after all statutory deductions) for Level 08/02 in the CONPSS (for civil servants working in the main Ministries) is about ₦49,000. Therefore, the difference of ₦17,000 which brings his monthly NET to ₦66,000 could just be allowances in form of rent subsidy, transport allowance, etc.

It is imperative to note that the 66.67% increase will be on his basic salary which is ₦49,000. Also, allowances are USUALLY calculated as a percentage of basic salary i.e Transport allowance can be fixed at 10% of basic salary, rent subsidy at 25% of basic salary, etc. This will mean that the inquirer could earn even way above N110k or even lesser depending on which allowance(s) is retained or removed and at what percentage of his basic salary they are pegged.

BRB, my hand dey pain me grin

which civil servant work pay 260k in Nigeria, are you permanent secretary or director in the ministry.

You don't deserve my advice because you are a liar.

As one time accountant in the civil service, I know their salary structure.
With all due respect Sir, you are no longer in touch with reality.

I'm currently a Civil Servant too and I can mention more than 5 agencies of govt that pay above N260k/monthly. I am not talking about civil servants in the pool of Accountant General of the Federation or those in the Federal Ministries. I'm talking about Public Servants in selected Departments and Agencies of Government. NCC, NIMASA, DPR, NNPC, NPA, NIWA, NARSDA are some of these agencies I'm talking about. Go and do your research sir.

WHY NOT APPLYING FOR EH INSTEAD OF GT. ANY ADVANTAGE
I have less than the six years required minimum experience for my field of interest. Although I have over 7 years experience altogether but my choosen field is industry sensitive and I have garnered enough experience in the O&G industry, at least not up to six years.

If you are applying for Accounting, Insurance, Administrative positions, your experience many not need to be from the O&G, but for most engineering, science and technical positions, it is usually different.
