Politics / Re: Igbos Can Only Get Presidency Through APC – Ex-Senator, Utazi by NaijirianKing: 3:02pm On Apr 02
The PDP ticket is going to the North. There's a strong movement for the North to take PDPs presidential ticket, and a southerner, either SS or SE to take the VP.

PDP is definitely not giving their ticket to the south with a current southern president. That would politically play into the hands of APC. PDP plans on attracting malcontents from the North and the potential block votes of SS and SE. This may work, but if Obi runs, it may stop PDPs plan.

Obi will either make or break PDPs victory. APC will most likely underperform and be venerable. But Obi's ambition may scuttle their victory attempt.

Abbeytoy:

You don't get the logic or Nigerian politics...

In 2027, APC will fill a southerner who's already leading with 60% now... PDP might do the same, but we all know it won't work out.
In 2031, both the APC and the PDP will fill Northerners, and any party that's otherwise considered defeated before going to an election... Then, after 8 years, it's coming down to the south, and if only the southwest still participates in the APC, you don't expect them to sympathize and call the south-east to come and take because it's their turn; it's not done that way.

The south-east needs a very large number in the APC for them to be considered.

If Tinubu had not supported Buhari at all costs in 2015, he wouldn't be where he's now. It's politics and beyond emotions.

Again, if PDP filled Southern in 2027 and lost, they won't repeat that in 2031 and it's automatically Northerners for APC, do all the northerners in PDP will either moved to APC or support it affar in 2031.

Politics / Re: It's Our Turn To Occupy Ondo Govt House —female Guber Aspirant, Funmilayo by NaijirianKing: 11:45pm On Mar 09
Women like this are not ready for selfless leadership. Leadership isn't about gender, it's about sacrifice for the greater good, and taking full accountability when things go wrong. Women aren't particularly suited for these.

Adeboye80:

Mrs. Funmilayo Waheed-Adekojo, an All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant in Ondo State, has said it is the turn of the female politicians in the state to occupy the state's exalted seat.

Waheed-Adekojo stated this in a statement issued to newsmen in Akure, the state capital, to celebrate the 2024 International Women's Day.

The aspirant also vowed to tremendously surpass the achievements of the erstwhile Governors of the state if given the opportunity to serve as the Governor of the state.

She said, “On this auspicious occasion of International Women's Day, I extend my heartfelt salutations to the women who continuously shape and strengthen our communities, families, and nation with their unwavering spirit and dedication.

“In celebrating the strides made by women across various sectors, I am particularly mindful of the significance of this day in Ondo State. As we reflect on the progress achieved, it is imperative to recognize that it is the turn of women to lead as the governor of Ondo State. I stand committed to this imperative and pledge to support and champion the cause of women's leadership at all levels.

“Moreover, I solemnly vow to surpass the achievements of past Governors by fostering inclusive governance, implementing progressive policies, and prioritizing the well-being and prosperity of all residents of Ondo State. Together, let us forge a future where every woman's potential is unleashed, and equality and empowerment reign supreme.

“As we commemorate International Women's Day, let us also acknowledge the intersectional challenges faced by women, including those related to gender-based violence, economic disparity, and access to healthcare and education. It is incumbent upon us to address these issues comprehensively and ensure that every woman in Ondo State and Nigeria has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

“Conclusively, I reaffirm my unwavering commitment to advancing the rights and opportunities of women in Ondo State and beyond. Together, let us continue to work towards a more inclusive and equitable society where every woman's voice is heard, valued, and respected.

Politics / Re: VIDEO: OVER 10 People Abducted In Ondo State by NaijirianKing: 1:20pm On Jan 19
Let no one come here to blame Fulani. Nothing in this says it was Fulani.

Ondo has serious security challenges, this is between the indigenous peoples of the state.

Nwamazi8:
Happened yesterday January 18 according to reports

Over 10 people were kidnapped yesterday, January 18, 2024, in the evening between Ikere Ekiti and Iju, Ondo State. The victims were in two vehicles: a Toyota Corolla and a white Highlander. They were kidnapped and taken into the bush.

When will this nonsense stop for God sake?

The man who lead Nigeria's first coup is also from there.

But we all know what people call it, and rightfully so. We all know what you people are, stop trying to play games. All you people are Ibo.

We do not claim you people for Edo. There's no room for Ibo land grabbing in Edo. Please continue to play with your brothers on that side of the Niger, our team done full.

From fake products to fake identity. Edo is for Edo.

Konquest:

Jim Ovia should not be listed among those names because he is NOT Ibo. He is an indigene of Agbor in Ika South LGA of Delta State and he is Ika. The name Ovia is an Edoid name meaning "God of iron." The Agbor people have strong ancestral ties with the Edos even though they are part of ANIOMA.

All Nigerians are at "home" in their homeland of Nigeria.

Stop all this sectoral nonsense. Nigeria belongs to Nigerians, we can't preach unity, but behave as if we are not unified.

A word is enough for the wise.

SoNature:
Everyone should know their limits in this country. You cannot be in someone's homeland and be calling for representations in appointments. That's insane. If you want to be represented, contest in elections and win elective positions.

Everyone has the right to protest, but it must be well guided.

The fighting in this community is more so community clashes with neighboring towns, there's no evidence tying these attacks to Fulani.

Politics / Re: Reno Omokri Reveals The Origin Of The Igbo Wool Cap by NaijirianKing: 3:25am On Dec 06, 2023
They were originally made from locally sourced material. Similar to how 200 years ago most Palm oil that was used in Nigeria cane from Nigeria. Today we use Malaysian palm oil as a replacement.

Same way native rice is now substituted for foreign rice.

Same way we will wear leather from Europe instead of using leather from Kano.

Over time we change things. Certain concepts remain but the actual items used have been substituted due to globalization.

For example, most Igbo used to wear Akwete cloth as their native wear. These came from The Ancient Arochukwu Confederacy, but today Igbo native is made from imported cloths.

Some Africans have inferiority complex and attribute everything to Europe.. smh.

Even if this post is made in jest, some don't know Africans wore wool caps for thousands of years and civilization of Africans didn't start at colonialism smh.

That hat Igbo wear is over two thousand years old and used to be worn to show initiation into certain secret societies. People should learn history before its hone forever and we start attributing even African languages to Europeans.

Lagos, Kogi and Kwara is not Yoruba land. Kwara is Fulani, Kogi is North Central, Lagos is a mixture of all Nigerian Tribes, no one tribe can say they control the cosmopolitan city of Lagos Nigeria. It belongs to all Nigerians.

PureFace1:
Many of you guys still underestimate the investment of Yoruba in Lagos lol

80% of Yoruba wealth in Nigeria is in Lagos State, many Yoruba from Oyo, Ondo, Ogun Osun, Kogi, KWARA invested heavily in Lagos to make Lagos what it is today, so even if all Igbo pull out of Lagos the vacuum will be fill by other tribes or neighbouring countries.

100years from now Lagos will still be the most industrial place in Nigeria. Lagos foundation is unshakable even In industrialization today no state in Nigeria can beat Ogun state, even Anambra can't match the industrial capacity of Oyo state. It is all futile endeavor.

Politics / Re: Lagos (eko) Belongs To Us by NaijirianKing: 12:34pm On Nov 30, 2023
Lagos, Nigeria is truly a Nigerian Project.

Ancient Lagos was founded by The Great Benin Empire. The modern layout was designed by the Portuguese and British.

It's currently being governed at a local level by Yoruba, and Federally by Fulani who control the Central Government as it was once the Capitol. And its economic power comes from the Eastern groups.

Lagos truly belongs to all Nigerians, all Nigerians helped make it was it is today. Tribalism and bigots should steer clear of this post. History revisionists should also not quote this.

I come in peace.

Politics / Re: Spiritual Nature Of The Land Evictions In Lagos by NaijirianKing: 11:58am On Nov 28, 2023
Inferiority complex at its height.

Yoruba, due to their recessive culture, are meant to be dominated by others. Kwara by the Fulani, and Lagos by all Nigerians, even the Oba of Benin added his own. A man from a supposed minority group.

What Nigerians can do in Yoruba land, Yorubas cannot do in Nigeria. These are facts.

diamond68:
You see this is a transition period globally as well as in Nigeria. Power is changing hands. The Igbo man has been in rulership of this country from the turn of the century up till when the Hausa man snatched it from him in the sixties. The Igbo man along with the British have ruled this country and when the British left they gave it to the man who they had been grooming from birth nnamdi azikiwe junior. Nnamdi azikiwe senior has been the one ruling the country in the shadows with the British. Every document of substance that the country uses till this date was drawn up by Igbo men including the constitution and amalgamation documents. All drawn up by Igbo men.

The point here is that the Igbo man had a good 80 plus year run to rule the country directly and indirectly and then the Hausa man snatched it from him and has had power also for 80 years from the sixties till now which is why tinubu came up with the slogan emilokan. He wasn’t talking about his personal self. He was saying it is the dynasty of the yorubas now and this is why he always had that logo which that logo means THE CONTINUITY OF THE STATUS QUO IS TERMINATED. It’s a new era and a new dynasty is in town

Meanwhile during that 160 year reign of Igbo and Hausa is what is called the fall of oduduwa from heaven down to earth and during this period he was overtaken and strangers flooded his land to come and share all the spoils and the invasion was so severe that the choicest part of the lands was shared by the strangers and invaders and oduduwa became a lowly stranger in his own land because his own land had rejected him after the fall from heaven down to earth. It’s that part of the Bible that says the strangers amongst you shall rise up above you and prosper over you. See ? The worlds greatest hidden secret is that the yorubas are the apple of Gods eye. The biblical Israelites but the good book said for a time I have turned my back against you and the strangers amongst you shall rise above you

And so the return is symbolized by the emilokan slogan and the colossal Red Sea of PDP parting into labor and atiku and kwankwaso and g7 so that tinubu aka oduduwa can cross the Red Sea into the promise land. As the oba of Benin said, the appointment of tinubu was divine and God ordained

And so the land is about to start smiling again at the children of oduduwa after the symbolic appointment of tinubu and so what the land is doing now is called purging. It is vomiting out the strangers that have conquered it and preparing it again for the children of oduduwa. The land is vomiting out the strangers is why all these properties are being demolished. This is a spiritual cleansing going on. THE SPIRIT OF ODUDUWA IS BACK

After collecting bribes and not protecting lives, this is the result.

There's a lesson here to be learned. Everyday for the thief, but of course, one day will be for the owner of the house.

The owner of the house has spoken. Law enforcement needs to be trusted to enforce the law, not use their positions of power for crime.

This is why they all flee to Lagos and claim it as their own. They're just like the Black South Africans claiming what the whites build. They claim Lagos because they lack capacity to develop themselves. They're clearly inferior, this is why they fear other more dominant groups.

Couldntfigurean:
I remember when a friend of mine was looking for house in ikorodu, when he asked about toilet they laughed(Yoruba agent and Yoruba landlord)
They showed him a bush at the back of the house where he can be shutting in nylon bag and shot putting it into the bush

I think its a cultural thing. Their culture is clearly inferior to other cultures. That us why they can't develop on their own. In fact before the European came, they were fighting each other and the Northern parts of their land was being converted into the southernmost parts of the Sokoto Caliphate. They're a people who naturally are born to be ruled. Whether it's by other Nigerians in Lagos, or by Fulani in Kwara. That is their fate. The fate of a weak culture.

PHIPEX:
I dont think the new house dont have toilet. It's rather that there are hardly a new house in those places.

Those houses were built in the "good old days" of 1960s. The younger generations have all left, abandoned the cities and now claiming "awa Lagos"

I never wanted to believe this initially, but these people are the most backwards peoples in Nigeria. Outside of Lagos, which belongs to all Nigerians, where on their side is even up to the standard of a developed landscape? These people are still turning public spaces into public toilets. No wonder they all flee to Lagos and claim Lagosian. Their next move is to build slums and become a drag on the entire system forming indigenous, when they are really migrants.
