French Senate Unanimously Adopts Resolution on Easing Anti-Russia Sanctions

The French Senate has unanimously adopted a resolution on the easing of anti-Russian sanctions.

During the vote, 302 French senators voted in favor of the resolution, while 16 voted against the initiative.

The resolution proposed by the opposition calls on the French government to protest extension of EU sanctions against Moscow. Although the resolution is not legally binding, the document will be sent to the French government for consideration.

Earlier, the French National Assembly, the lower house of the parliament, voted in favor of the resolution calling for lifting of anti-Russian sanctions.

Relations between Russia and the West deteriorated amid the 2014 crisis in Ukraine. The European Union, the United States and their allies have introduced several rounds of anti-Russian sanctions since the reunification of Crimea with Russia in 2014, accusing Moscow of meddling in the Ukrainian conflict, a claim Russian authorities have repeatedly denied.

Washington and Brussels imposed sanctions against Russian individuals and the Russian defense, energy and banking sectors in July 2014. Russia responded by introducing a year-long food embargo on imports from the United States, the European Union and other countries that targeted Russia, subsequently extending the current embargo until August 5, 2016.

The EU leaders summit is scheduled for June 28-29. Extending the EU economic sanctions against Russia, which are due to expire in July, is likely to be on the summit's agenda.

Foreign Affairs / Obama Slams Door In Putin’s Face: Counts On Russia Pulling The Trigger First by NairaMinted: 7:17pm On Jun 08, 2016
And the doomsday clock strikes closer to midnight.

The Hegemon is $20 trillion in the hole - greater than 100% of its GDP. Its job reports are doctored and it has a mountain of debt that can never be repaid. A war is needed for a global financial reset.

So therefore the Hegemon with a faux Noble Peace Price puppet at its helm is forging ahead with it's plan to surround and subjugate Russia. The Hegemon is pushing ahead with the implementation of a missile shield conceived during Bush's regime at the time that the excuse for its need was the totally non-existent Iranian threat. The Hegemon has read Russia's hesitancy, reasonableness and patience to to mean weakness and fear. The Hegemon has abandoned the theory of Mutual Assured Destruction (M.A.D.) and substituted it with the theory of winnable first-strike doctrine.

Obama Slams Door in Putin’s Face: Says if Putin doesn’t want Russia’s retaliatory forces eliminated, he’ll need to be the one to press the nuclear button first

by Eric Zuesse

Actions speak louder than mere words, and U.S. President Barack Obama has now acted, not only spoken. His action is to refuse to discuss with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia’s biggest worry about recent changes in America’s nuclear strategy — particularly a stunning change that is terrifying Putin.

On Sunday June 5th, Reuters headlined “Russia Says U.S. Refuses Talks on Missile Defence System”, and reported that, “The United States has refused Russian offers to discuss Washington’s missile defence programme, Russian Deputy Defence Minister Anatoly Antonov was quoted as saying on Sunday, calling the initiative ‘very dangerous’.”

Russia’s concern is that, if the “Ballistic Missile Defense” or “Anti Ballistic Missile” system, that the United States is now just starting to install on and near Russia’s borders, works, then the United States will be able to launch a surprise nuclear attack against Russia, and this system, which has been in development for decades and is technically called the “Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System”, will annihilate the missiles that Russia launches in retaliation, which will then leave the Russian population with no retaliation at all, except for the nuclear contamination of the entire northern hemisphere, and global nuclear winter, the blowback from America’s onslaught against Russia, which blowback some strategists in the West say would be manageable probems for the U.S. and might be worth the cost of eliminating Russia.

That theory, of a winnable nuclear war (which in the U.S. seems to be replacing the prior theory, called “M.A.D.” for Mutually Assured Destruction) was first prominently put forth in 2006 in the prestigious U.S. journal Foreign Affairs, headlining “The Rise of Nuclear Primacy” and which advocated for a much bolder U.S. strategic policy against Russia, based upon what it argued was America’s technological superiority against Russia’s weaponry and a possibly limited time-window in which to take advantage of it before Russia catches up and the opportunity to do so is gone.

Paul Craig Roberts was the first reporter in the West to write in a supportive way about Russia’s concerns that Barack Obama might be a follower of that theory. One of Roberts’s early articles on this was issued on 17 June 2014 and headlined “Washington Is Beating The War Drums”, where he observed that “US war doctrine has been changed. US nuclear weapons are no longer restricted to a retaliatory force, but have been elevated to the role of preemptive nuclear attack.”

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has tried many times to raise this issue with President Obama, the most recent such instance being via a public statement of his concern, made on May 27th. Apparently, the public statement by Antonov on June 5th is following up on that latest Putin effort, by Antonov’s announcement there that Obama now explicitly refuses to discuss Putin’s concerns about the matter.

The fact that these efforts on the part of the Russian government are via public media instead of via private conversations (such as had been the means used during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, when the shoe was on the other foot and the U.S. President was concerned about the Soviet President’s installation of nuclear missiles 90 miles from the U.S. border) suggests that Mr. Obama, unlike U.S. President John Fitzgerald Kennedy in 1962, refuses to communicate with Russia, now that the U.S. is potentially in the position of the aggressor.

Russia is making its preparations, just in case it will (because of the Aegis Ashore system) need to be the first to attack. However, some knowledgeable people on the subject say that Russia will never strike first. Perhaps U.S. President Obama is proceeding on the basis of a similar assumption, and this is the reason why he is refusing to discuss the matter with his Russian counterpart. However, if Mr. Obama wishes to avoid a nuclear confrontation, then refusing even to discuss the opponent’s concerns would not be the way to go about doing that. Obama is therefore sending signals to the contrary — that he is preparing a nuclear attack against Russia — simply by his refusal to discuss the matter. In this case, his action of refusal is, itself, an answer to Putin’s question, like slamming the door in Putin’s face would be. It’s a behavioral answer, instead of a merely verbal one.

The geostrategist John Helmer discussed on May 30th the question of when the “Trigger Point” will likely be for Putin to decide whether there is no reasonable alternative but to launch — and for him then to launch — World War III.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Evidence Continues To Emerge MH17 Is A False Flag Operation by NairaMinted: 8:53am On Jun 08, 2016

'Explosive' Papers Seized From Private Detective Investigating MH17 Crash

02:20 08.06.2016(updated 02:21 08.06.2016)
German and Swiss authorities have confiscated documents from private detective Josef Resch, who has been conducting his own investigation of the 2014 crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, Dutch officials and media said Tuesday.

Investigators believe that some of the documents seized after last week's raid on the detective's home in Bad Schwartau, northern Germany, may shed light on the circumstances of the tragedy. Some of the papers are said to be "explosive" and could help determine the culprits.

According to De Telegraaf daily, the German detective began his own probe two months after the catastrophe, and has received some $19 million for his investigations. His generous clients remain unknown.

"We are hoping to get some information about this. That's why the raids at his home were carried out," the spokesman for the prosecution service, Wim De Bruin, told AFP.
The contents of Resch's safe-deposit box in a bank in Zurich, Switzerland, were also inspected.

"We don't actually know what was in the box. The Swiss judge must now decide if its contents can be handed over to Dutch officials," the spokesman said.
He added that it is possible that the detective may have been in contact with the culprits.

The Boeing 777 aircraft, operated by Malaysia Airlines as Flight 17, was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was struck by a BUK anti-aircraft missile while flying at 33,000 feet over war-torn eastern Ukraine on June 17, 2014. All 298 passengers and crew — the majority of them Dutch — died in the crash.

A criminal investigation is ongoing in the Netherlands to identify who fired the missile and where from, although many believe that those responsible will never be brought to justice.
The first official findings by criminal investigators are expected after the summer, as they await further information from Russia.

I can see where your "hatred" of Amerika stems from. You are a direct victim of its unbridled hubris and arrogance. For me, seeing Ghadaffi - a head of state - killed in cold blood and like an animal on the streets of Libya greatly troubled and angered me. It was like I knew him personally. And what made it worse that our totally clueless ministry of foreign affairs approved of the NATO "intervention" in Libya! I just shook my head in disgust on how we (black people) just handed over our freedom and any say in any matter once again to an imperialistic force.

I can't quite remember when I had a paradigm shift about Amerika but I think it was around 2006/2007 that things really dawned on me and I guess being the kind of person I am, my spirit had always told me right from the earliest wars that I was old enough to follow and understand -i.e. 1991 gulf war - that things aren't as simple as they appear .

US effectively siding with Al-Qaeda in desire to get rid of Assad – former UK ambassador to Syria

The US is “ready to de facto ally” with its archenemies from Al-Qaeda’s branch in Syria as part of its “obsession” by using “so-called moderate” moderate groups to overthrow the Syrian government, former UK ambassador to Syria, Peter Ford, told RT in an exclusive interview.

The US “is effectively siding with a branch of Al-Qaeda” in Syria, Peter Ford told RT, speaking of Washington’s recent request to Moscow not to target Al-Nusra positions with air strikes for the sake of moderate opposition groups located in the same area.

The former ambassador denounced the move as “not reasonable at all” and “grotesque.” He also sharply criticized the US for their “obsession with getting rid of Assad and the secular government in Syria” that leads them right to the alliance with “their arch-enemies” and to the loss of “all moral and practical competence.”

“We can only hope that it is a temporary aberration and they will soon return to their senses,” Ford told RT, urging the US government to abandon their policy of de facto aiding Al-Qaeda’s affiliate. He also expressed his support for Russia’s “very reasonable demand that the forces of the so-called moderate opposition disentangle themselves from the embraces of Al-Nusra and allow Al-Nusra to be bombed.”

The former ambassador also stressed that there is “virtually no difference” between Al-Nusra and such groups as Jaish al-Islam, Ahrar al-Sham and Jaish al-Fatah as they are “indistinguishable” in terms of ideology, sectarian bias and their practical methods consisting of “massacres and ruthlessness.”

He also emphasized that the only difference between Al-Nusra and other groups that western countries, including the US, portray as “moderate opposition” lies in the field of tactics.

“The so-called moderate groups pay lip service to the idea that Syria might end up with a secular system after negotiations provided only that Assad will go. They pay lip service to this but anyone, who believes it must be a fool but the Americans use this as a reason or the pretext not to go after these groups,” Ford said.

The former ambassador denounced the US’ “obsession with getting rid of Assad, which they euphemistically call ‘transition’ in the context of the negotiations” as an attempt to carry out another regime change as they previously did in Iraq and Libya.

“They are keen, it seems, to repeat the same mistakes in Damascus,” Ford said, commenting on the US continuous efforts to oust the Syrian President Bashar Assad from power.

At the same time, he warned that “it is really dangerous to mainstream these jihadi groups with a handful of genuinely democratic secular oppositionists, who are the tiny minority of the opposition on the ground,” referring to such groups as Jaish al-Islam and Ahrar al-Sham, which the US, France, the UK, and Ukraine refused to designate as terrorist organizations and add them to a UN Security Council (UNSC) blacklist.

On June 5, the Syrian Foreign Ministry sent a letter to the UN, in which it alleged that some of the so-called “moderate” opposition groups had been shelling residential areas in Aleppo, Syria, alongside Al-Nusra Front. The ministry also accused some regional powers, including Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, of “sponsoring terrorists” and attempting to derail the peace negotiations in Geneva.

The letter designated such groups as Jaish al-Islam, Ahrar al-Sham, and Jaish al-Fatah as Al Nusra’s “affiliates” and criticized some members of the UNSC for their refusal to add them to the UN list of terrorist groups.

In the meantime, terrorist shellings of Syrian cities have resulted in the deaths of more than 270 civilians within the last 24 hours, Russia’s Defense Ministry said. Al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham have also conducted joint attacks in the Kurdish-controlled Sheikh Maqsood neighborhood in the northern part of Aleppo that particularly left 40 people dead.

READ MORE: US asks Russia not to target Al-Qaeda branch in Syria – Russian FM Lavrov

These shelling and attacks, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, became possible due to the fact that the terrorists’ positions were not targeted for some time by Russian air forces at the request of the United States. According to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Washington asked Russia not to target Al-Nusra Front precisely because the terrorist group is sharing territory with some “moderate” opposition groups that might also potentially be hit in airstrikes.

From someone that has read the Minsk Agreements.

French Lawmaker Urges France to Impose Sanctions on Kiev for NOT Implementing Minsk Agreement

ALEX CHRISTOFOROU

French lawmaker Thierry Mariani says sanctions should be imposed against Ukraine its failure to implement a single reform in the Minsk accords.

Some lawmakers in Europe are logical, fact driven people. Take French lawmaker Thierry Mariani. Here is a man who has actually read the Minsk 2 Agreement, and has come to the undeniable conclusion that sanctions must be placed on Ukraine for not adhering to one single part of the accord it signed.

Fact: Russia is not mentioned once in the Minsk 2 Agreement and is not a party to its terms.

Why the sneaky elite in Brussels continue to say that sanctions must remain on Russia until Minsk is implemented is completely misleading. Brussels logic discourages Ukraine, an actual party and signatory to Minsk 2, from carrying out the terms it is obligated to carry out, because the dumb EU leaders have tied lifting of Russian sanctions to Kiev implementing Minsk. How is that for EU logic?

Might as well place sanctions on the US as well…that is until Ukraine implements Minsk. Fair is fair, and tons of US troops and weapons were poured into Donbass to ignite the brutal civil war, not mention McCain Maidan pep rallies, and Nuland cookie parties.

Now back to French lawmaker Mariani, who rightly told Russian Izvestia newspaper on Friday…

So far, the Verkhovna Rada has not carried out a single reform stipulated by the Minsk II accords. This is why we back the lifting of sanctions against Russia. Excuse me, but logically, there are two ways. First, anti-Russian sanctions must be lifted, and second, sanctions must be introduced against Ukraine. Because right now, Kiev is showing disrespect by failing to implement the Minsk accords. The main responsibility is with the Ukrainian side.”

Sputnik News provides more context to Mariani’s interview…

In April, the National Assembly, France’s lower house of parliament, supported a resolution calling to lift the sanctions imposed on Russia. The French Senate will vote on the resolution on June 8. According to French lawmakers, the bill was met with almost unanimous support in the Senate Committee for the European Affairs.

The chances of the Senate approving the resolution are high, Mariani said, adding that the upper house is dominated by his opposition party The Republicans, which had a harder time pushing the resolution through the Socialist-dominated lower house.

“This resolution send a certain signal to the government…popular opinion appears to contradicts the idea of sanctions,” he stressed.

A video edited by unknown Ukrainian "analysts" is gaining popularity on the Internet, in which a terrible secret is revealed – the Savchenko who returned to Kiev is not the real one, and is a double. This was reported by the website "Russian spring".

Allegedly, the real Ukrainian pilot Savchenko died in a Russian prison from hunger. Instead, the one who returned to Ukraine is Arkady Shestitko, who had a sex change operation and tried to achieve maximum similarity with the gun-layer, convicted in Russia for 22 years.

Ukrainian "experts" were initially confused by the Savchenko's new complexion – according to many, after months of hunger strike, she should be somewhat slimmer. However, Internet users have joked repeatedly on the subject. It was also noted by the creators of the video the fact that supposedly the real Savchenko had a slight squint, which is not present with her twin.

The Russian President has pardoned Savchenko on May 25th, 2016, who the Russian court sentenced to 22 years in prison. She was jailed for the murder of VGTRK journalists Anton Voloshin and Igor Kornelyuk in the Donetsk region.

"Sanctions ... have led to a 'catastrophic situation' for German agriculture"

Russian.RT, June 1, 2016
Translated from Russian by Tom Winter

The Parliament of the German city of Quakenbrück may consider recognition of Crimea as part of Russia, and repealing the anti-Russian sanctions. Andreas Maurer, Chairman of the Deputies of the Left faction of the city parliament, plans to introduce the statement.

As the politician said, the sanctions against the Russian Federation and the loss of Russian markets have led to a "catastrophic situation" for German agriculture.

"We can put such questions as they have done in Italy. I thought to appeal to my colleagues in East Germany, as they are there in most parliaments, and it is reality, to make such an appeal.

In my own parliament I will put this question unambiguously, although we do not have the majority there," sai Maurer as quoted by RiaNovosti.

He noted that this will "provide a platform for discussion and an opportunity for argument" and will "show the face of the other parties."

A day earlier, Foreign Minister of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier offered to consider the possibility of a phased lifting of sanctions with Russia. He linked this process with the progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements on Ukraine.

Steinmeier acknowledged that there is growing resistance in the European Union to the extension of sanctions against Russia.

Recall, the French Parliament voted first in the EU for the lifting of sanctions against Russia.* The corresponding resolution was approved by the French National Assembly on April 28.

Further, in the Veneto region of Italy on May 18, the Council adopted a resolution calling on government to condemn the EU policy regarding the Crimea and to achieve the abolition of restrictions in respect of the Russian Federation.

In addition, in June a resolution on recognition of the Crimea will be presented in the regional councils in two more Italian regions - Lombardy and Liguria.

Translator follow-up: Another double-barreled resolution(Crimea, sanctions) will soon happen in another region of Italy, Tuscany.

Bolivian President Evo Morales stated on Thursday in an interview with RIA Novosti that Russia can count on his country’s support for recognizing Crimea.

Responding to the question as to whether it should be expected that Sucre will take additional steps towards a Bolivian recognition of Crimea as part of Russia, Morales said:

“We are together with Russia in the case of any American aggression against Russia. Whether we are dealing with aggression of a political, economic, geographic, or military character, let Russia count on Bolivia and our support.”

According to the president, Bolivia has deep disagreements with the policies which the US is pursuing in Latin America.

“Thanks to the unity of the Bolivian people as a result of which we are politically liberated from the US Embassy and economically liberated from the International Monetary Fund, things are better for us now. And the people support this. We are here as anti-imperialists, and we strongly support anti-imperialist countries,” Morales said.

“And above all, we respect Russia and admire her,” the head of state added.

In recent times, the issue of recognizing Crimea as a part of Russia has become all the more prevalent. On Tuesday, May 31st, for example, intentions to submit a resolution for consideration by the deputies of the parliament of the Germany city of Quakenbruck was announced by the head of the Left faction, Andreas Maurer.

On May 18th, the Italian region of Veneto’s regional council adopted an appeal to the national government which called to condemn the EU’s policy towards Crimea and abolish European sanctions against Russia. In June, similar documents are to be considered by the councils of two more Italian regions, Lombardy and Liguria.

Translated by J. Arnoldski

Tymoshenko has had enough of Savchenko’s criticism of her. The whole point is that she thinks that Savchenko has “just snapped” and is doing whatever she pleases. After all, we can all see and hear how disdainful she is towards her fellow deputies. She puts her feet up on the chair, walks barefoot around the parliament, and hurls accusations against politicians, including the president. But Nadezhda’s biggest problem is with the leader of the “Fatherland” party, Tymoshenko. Yulia Vladimirovna Tymoshenko has reciprocated these feelings. At the latest session of the Verkhovna Rada, she expressed to Nadezhda everything she thinks about her.

After all, Tymoshenko understands that a bright leader has appeared on the political arena who is completely uncontrollable and could overshadow her own “idiocy” and arrogance.

Savchenko publicly supported the fulfillment of the Minsk Agreements: “We will do everything we can to ensure that they are fulfilled.”

And now Tymoshenko is categorically against such. She has repeatedly subjected them to harsh criticism. It can be said that a “new violin” has appeared in the Verkhovna Rada which is being played out of tune, but nonetheless loudly, which cannot but scare the ex-prime minister, Tymoshenko, and all of her entourage.

The Europeans have let themselves to be drawn into an ‘insane march on Russia’ by concentrating the largest amount of military hardware on Russia’s borders since the Second World War, putting Europe at risk of a hot conflict. However, if there is one spark, Europe will be the first victim, according to Danish author Jens Jorgen Nielsen.

Europe is very close to a major war for the first time since the end of the Second World War, Jens Jorgen Nielsen writes in his blog for theDanish newspaper Arbejderen.

'It's Time to Leave NATO Now!' Europeans Launch New Anti-War Campaign

However, only recently it seemed that the Cold War was over and a “large global community” was just around the corner.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the residents of its former republics opened their arms to the West and its ideology. Even when NATO started its expansion eastwards, taking in countries of the former Warsaw Pact, the West continued to talk about “growing stability” in the world.

However, this time has irrevocably passed and many contentious issues are now breeding concern.

The Europeans have let themselves become drawn into an ‘insane march on Russia’ so that the US can satisfy its global interests, but this might lead to very catastrophic consequences, the author warns.

Firstly, NATO has concentrated the largest amount of military hardware and military personnel right on Russia’s borders since the end of the Second World War. This can’t but raise Russia’s concerns.
“There is no wonder that the Germans have refused to send their battalion to the Baltics,” the author says.

“We in the West might have forgotten, but the Russians still remember how Nazi Germany invaded from that very direction and how the war took 27 million [Soviet] lives,” Jens Jorgen Nielsen says.

Secondly, taking into account that George W. Bush withdrew from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty back in 2002, now there are no restrictions prohibiting the deployment of cruise and ballistic missiles on Russia’s borders.

They may be based on NATO warships in the Baltic Sea or in other locations, and it would take the Alliance less than five minutes to hit, for example, Russia's St. Petersburg, the author says.
Some of the Western countries which possess nuclear weapons might cherish illusions that the so-called “defense missiles” are able to neutralize Russia’s long-range strategic nuclear missiles and thus eliminate the so-called “mutual deterrence.”

As a result, the western strategists might be tempted to attack first, assuming that NATO “could win” the nuclear war with Russia. However, in reality this is nothing but a dangerous delusion, as Russia’s weaponry is far more advanced than for example that of Iraq, Nielsen warns.

Thirdly, the diplomatic relations between Russia and the West are currently frozen.
Republican Ronald Reagan took certain practical steps to initiate nuclear disarmament negotiations with Gorbachev in the second half of the 1980s, but nowadays one can only wonder how Democratic President Obama could have plunged Europe into such a dangerous position.
Therefore, the author says, the Scandinavians should understand that the Democrats are not so good and the Republicans are not so evil, as they always thought.

The author cites another example: it was the Democrat John F. Kennedy, who was very close to triggering a nuclear war because the Soviet Union had installed missiles in Cuba in 1962 within a radius of 90 miles (144 km) of the US.

Nowadays it is a Republican, Donald Trump, who is asking why the US is engaged in so many wars around the world, and why the US has such bad relationship with Russia.

Many of those who do not support Trump, however, are asking the very same questions.

So, the Danish author suggests it is high time for the European countries to ask the following question: “how could the Europeans have allowed themselves to be harnessed to a cart driven solely by the US and its global interests?”

The US perceives Russia and China as the countries which, if not threatening it, prompt seriously questions about its hegemony in the world.

The author then questions who would be the first to pay if there is a nuclear war unleashed on the European continent.

He then forecasts: the first would probably be Scandinavia, Poland or the Baltics.

The last straw that broke the Camel's back - revealing US imperialism tendency and Cold War rhetorics, was when American Unilaterally withdrew from the START Treaty, to the ire of Rus (for what purpose? Only Missy can tell). And to add salt to injury, the missile shield right next door to them began, and has now taken shape - a cursory picture of the cold war era. ( US missiles in Turkey and Italy, Soviet/Russia missiles to Cuba) and we all knew what happened then. But now, some mendacious folks supposes that Russia musnt worry. Hypocrisy.

This Dutch author Jens Jorgen Nielsen gets it, Felix Baumgartner gets it, the Czech president gets it, Gehard Shroeder gets it. Paul Craig Roberts gets it. So does Stephen Lendman, Stephen Cohen, Noam Chomsky, Oliver Stone and Ron Paul - and so many others. Even - as much as I hate to say it - Donald Trump gets it. Are all these people full of hate for Amerika? Are they nothing but paid Kremlin trolls and Putin bots? It's getting kinda embarrassing to be honest.

3. Why "debate" someone whereupon introducing yourself as NairaMinted, this individual's tactic is something along the lines of first "debunking" why your name can't be NairaMinted, call you colorful names, label you "tiny brained" BUT YET wants to debate you?

Every patriotic and well meaning Amerikan (and admirers as well that care about Amerika - such as NairaMinted wink) should as a matter of duty watch The Untold History of the United States. In it, Oliver Stone narrates the ugly side of Amerika which you wouldn't find in your history books or popular literature. He finishes off this brilliant documentary series by warning the good people of Amerika of the dangers that lurk ahead uf Amerika doesn't rein in its militaristic adventurism and curtail its imperialistic ambitions.

This is the same message that true patriots such as Paul Craig Roberts, Stephen Lendman, Stephen Cohen, Noam Chomsky, Robert Parry, David Griffin, Ron Paul and so many others have been conveying down the years. These patriots understand clearly the difference between Hollywood and hard facts and they surely also understand the stark and terrifying scenario that would become Amerika's reality if its imperialistic thirst and control by the "deep state" isn't extinguished.

So here now is the all mighty Amerikan Cheeseburger Navy, like they have in the Baltic Sea, Barents Sea, Black Sea, Straits of Hormuz - and so many others - once again stirring up sh*t in far away South China Sea. I'm afraid this latest effort at "containing China" will end with the Cheesburger Navy up a creek without a paddle.

“Hero of the Ukraine” Nadezhda Savchenko addresses the Rada

Interesting footage today. The “Hero of the Ukraine” Nadezhda Savchenko made her first speech before the Ukrainian Rada. She was introduced by another bona fide Nazi, Andrei Parubii, the new Speaker of the Rada and #2 in the Ukie Banderastan. I don’t know if that comes across to a non-Ukrainian speaker, but Parubii sounds, how shall I put it, not too bright. I heard the rumors about him having mental issues, but listening today I wonder if there might not be a factual basis to this. As for Savchenko, she was herself, no surprises here. She did tell the members of the Rada that she would not allow them to forget those who died for “our beloved Ukraine” and she looked rather angry. But then, she always looks angry. And just as during her speech next to Poroshenko the other day, she acted as if she was hearing voices or having trouble concentrating. Weird. Best of all, she then forced (psychologically) all these MR to stand and sing the Ukie anthem along with her. I almost felt sorry for them, especially seeing the rather tense expressions on their faces.

Frankly, she is every bit as nuts as some had said she was. I think that just as another “great” “Ukrainian patriot” – Alexandr Muzychko (aka “Sashko Bilyi”) – she will probably be shot pretty soon and then, of course, Putin will be blamed.

The Saker

PS: sorry, I don’t have the time – or inclination – to translate the totally predictable rubbish of Porubyi or Savchenko, I am sure that you can find it online if interested.

PPS: I am now really happy that Savchenko is in Kiev. Frankly, there is such a beautiful karmic justice to that. She is a much better “true face” of the Ukronazi Banderastan than, say, Poroshenko, Timoshenko or “Iats”. She really is the “real thing”, the perfect, concentrated and pure expression of Ukronazi hatred, ugliness and evil. The thought of the pseudo-nationalistic Ukie oligarchs dealing with this harpy makes me smile in sweet bliss. I hope for a lot of good footage of that :-)

PPS: Wanna hear something funny? The Ukronazi slogan “....” (Ukraine above all) is a direct copy of the German “Deutschland uber alles” (Germany above all), as for the text of the Ukronazi national anthem “.....” (The Ukraine has not perished yet) it is a direct copy of the Polish “....” (Poland has not perished yet). As for the melody, it was written by, what else, by a Papist priest, Mikhail Verbitskii. Don’t you love these “nationalists”, LOL!

Foreign Affairs / German Politicians In Crimea Demand The Immediate Lifting Of Sanctions (VIDEO) by NairaMinted: 6:32pm On May 31, 2016
Even yet more signs indicating a fracture in the "solidarity" of E.U. members in the anti-Russian sanctions regime.
In the past, French E.U. members have visited Crimea and now their German counterparts have followed suit and like the French that went before them, have seen things for themselves: that the people of Crimea are happy and content and would rather remain with Mother Russia - where they have always and rightfully belonged - than be re-incorporated with the increasingly facist, ideological and maniacally delusional government back in Kiev.

Note that several individuals from key government officials to members of parliament in Europe have called for the lifting of these counterproductive sanctions and belief me, the calls will get louder and more frequent.

I expect the sanctions - sanctions that were only implemented after the dubious MH17 tragedy was immediately pinned on Russia - to be renewed this June though but I seriously doubt anyone would have the stomach to renew them when next they are due for renewal. And it wouldn't matter because by then, Russia would have by and large, dettached itself from the hegemonic tool of economic subjugation that is the Western financial system, her economy would have been back on the path of recovery and growth and her people better prepared than ever to withstand the schemes of the Hegemon having grinded out the hardship of the previous months. It is the farmers of Europe and the industries that rely so much on the Russian market that we must ask at the end of the day, if those sanctions were worth it.

So much for sanctions. So much for "isolating Russia."

Report of News Front correspondents Anastasia Shkitina and Ivan Prokopov

A German delegation of representatives of the public and political life of Germany is visiting the capital of the peninsula.

The visit was organized as part of an extensive program of "Days of German Culture" and the "People's diplomacy" project, subtitled "Mutual understanding between peoples." They are on the peninsula from 25 May to 1 June.

In the capital of Crimea representatives of the German delegation attended a concert of the creative collectives of the people of Crimea.

The main purpose of the visit of the foreign guests is the creation of a positive image of the Crimea and Russia, as well as the breaking of the information blockade.

"The other day dozens of representatives of German business, social and political life of Germany arrived in order to get acquainted with the real situation in the country and to see what is happening. The main objective of this project - strengthening the image of our multinational peninsula in the international arena. We wish that as many people as possible in the world be aware that the Crimea is a territory of peace and harmony," said Yuri Hempel, the organizer of the event.

Also, in the Simferopol Ice Palace there was a friendly hockey match between the amateur teams from Simferopol and Stuttgart. Lagoda, the Simferopol hockey team, a part of the Night Hockey League of amateur teams of the Crimean Federal District, defeated the "Ice Wolves" from Stuttgart, whose players are former professional athletes, by a score of 8: 6.

On Monday, at 15.00 hockey players of the team Yalta "White Lion" will take to the ice against the "Ice Wolves" from Stuttgart. Free admission.

'Stuck in Cold War': Beijing says won’t play role in Hollywood-style movie directed by US military
AFP
Beijing has accused US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter of having a Cold War mentality, following his statement that China risks creating a "Great Wall of self-isolation" over its actions in the South China Sea.

Speaking at a daily news briefing on Monday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said Carter's remarks “laid bare the stereotypical US thinking and US hegemony.”

“Indeed, there are some in the US who live physically in the 21st century, but whose minds are stuck in the Cold War era,” she said, as quoted by AP.

“China has no interest in any form of Cold War, nor are we interested in playing a role in a Hollywood movie written and directed by certain US military officials. However, China has no fear of and will counter any actions that threaten and undermine China's sovereignty and security," Hua continued.

The remarks come just days after US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said that China risks creating a “Great Wall of self-isolation" through its military expansion in the South China sea and its alleged hacks on US companies.

"China's actions could erect a Great Wall of self-isolation," Carter told graduating officers at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, on Friday. "Countries across the region - allies, partners, and the unaligned - are voicing concerns publicly and privately at the highest levels."

Carter went on to state that the US continues to be concerned about Beijing's actions in the disputed South China Sea, where it has laid claim to almost the entire region.

"China's actions (in the South China Sea) challenge fundamental principles, and we can't look the other way," Carter said.

Responding directly to those statements, Hua said the remarks were aimed at providing cover for Washington's plans to deploy additional military forces to the Asia-Pacific region.

Carter's statements were the latest in a series of critical remarks by Washington in regard to Beijing's behavior in the South China Sea.
